COVID-19 has caused us all one way or another losses and hardship but to find a hotel like easyHotel Maastricht City Centre makes me contribute to recovering their losses is not expected and unfair. Booking.com made the reservation with easyHotel Maastricht in November 2019 before COVID-19 arrived, for 2 nights in July 2020 as we were attending an Andre Rieu concert which was then postponed. I followed the directions and recommendations of the ECC Net to act in good faith with contributing to the survival of suppliers, however easyHotel sadly didn’t follow the Unfair Contract Terms Directive 93/13/EEC and Pursuant to Book 6, article 265 of the Dutch Civil Code. The concert was rescheduled to July 2021 and Booking.com did reschedule the hotel dates however COVID-19 again cancelled the concert and the concert was changed to July 2022 but Booking.com didn’t answer my requests and I had no option but to contact easyHotel which did reschedule the date.but now my wife has had to have chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant. The treatment was in October 2021 and expected to be completed in December 2021 and we still planned to come to the Netherlands after receiving all her previous and current vaccines but in May the hospital told us that she was immunocompromised and despite receiving three COVID-19 vaccines and would still need hospital treatment plus it was too dangerous to travel due to COVID-19. The concert couldn’t transfer the tickets to July 2023 and offered a refund but easyHotel couldn’t change the date and refused to refund. Even when I had found a couple who were wanting to take over the reservation, a day before the reservation, easyHotel didn’t reply to an email I'd sent until mid afternoon of the day of the booking, too late for the couple as they had found another hotel Let something positive come out of this virus and support the hotels, travel insurances and other business that followed the guidelines by working with their customers and report business and hotels like easyHotel and Booking.com which feel that travellers should pay for their losses and can’t be trusted to do the right thing. Also didn’t receive any help after requesting a voucher from Booking.com. My initial flights from Australia to the Netherlands for 2 was AU$2500 in 2020 and this year now costs about AU$8200 so we have losses too but I don’t expect easyHotel to pay for it. Anyone who have still not received a refund from easyHotel or easyHotelbenelux and is interested to commence a class action please message me. Please help travellers by adding your hotel to the list. Let's start why we give only 4 points in this review:When booking a valetparking service for 45 euro a day,knowing that the reception staff can see on their camera who is arriving in front of the hotel,I expect somebody coming out and helping us for the luggage.It's a 5 star hotel and this is not the usual Marriott service. We reserved lunch at Spencer's but they serve you in the lobby next to the reception. No service for lunch upstairs in the main restaurant.They should prevent guests about this. No sink in the toilet of the Kruisherensuite..... The positive aspects: Stunning overall design an clean.Perfect service once you enter the lobby.Staff very kind and professional.Breakfast Buffet as well as dinner at Spencer's perfect. Amazing innercourt with openair bar. We got the Kruisherensuite that is the biggest of the hotel.Topdesign with double sinks free standing bathtube and italian double shower.Beds Kingsize.Minibar NOT complimentary.A NO GO for this type of accommodation.One bottle of still water per day.Unfortunately the separate Toilet has no sink. We recommand this hotel nevertheless hoping that somebody will be there next time to help with the luggage on arrival

Als je kiest voor een arrangement , dus inclusief ontbijt en het zogenaamde drie gangen diner, moet je niet het beste verwachten van hun . Allereerst kregen wij een kamer op de eerste etage, precies boven de ingang .. heel erg rumoerig en de schuifdeur die de hele avond/nacht open gaat, is gewoon in de kamer hoorbaar. De slechtste kamer van het hotel, terwijl er nog zat kamers beschikbaar waren. Het zogenaamde drie gangen menu stelt niks voor en is erg weinig. Bovendien had de kok geen zin om de sinaasappelbavarois te maken en kregen wij gewoon diepvriesoesjes van de supermarkt met een laagje chocoladesaus overheen..vreselijk ! Ook het voorgerecht was waardeloos en bestond uit een zogenaamde champignonsoep met zes sprietjes tauge en twee champignons.. Ik voelde mij erg beledigd dat dit mij aangeboden werd..! Dat ze dát durven te serveren is schandalig..! We mochten alleen maar op een bepaalde plek in het restaurant zitten, omdat wij een arrangement hadden en werden zo een beetje als t****erangs gasten behandeld.. Dit is heel erg slecht ! De kelners zijn niet gastvrij en vriendelijk , ik beveel ze een cursus aan bij hun collega's van het van der Valk Hotel. Verder was het ontbijt prima, gewoon standaard zoals overal, maar zodra je iets extra's bestelt,zul je bedrogen uitkomen. Ik had een arrangement betaald voor 3 dagen van 335€ en zal dit dus nooit meer doen.

Stayed here whilst visiting Maastricht with my wife. It’s a great location only 3 minutes walk from the centre and 10 minutes walk to the Vrijthof. Service was excellent, room was clean and comfortable with air conditioning. We’ll be back!

Saya menempah bilik satu bilik mewah. Biliknya besar dan menyentuh Saiz hotel Eropah yang buruk semua orang tahu Sebenarnya, konsep hotel serupa dengan pangsapuri bersama. Reka bentuknya popular di industri Eropah Utara + dalam beberapa tahun kebelakangan ini, sesuai untuk selebriti dalam talian untuk mengambil gambar. Lokasinya hebat. Hanya perlu 10 minit untuk pergi ke pusat bandar untuk makan, minum dan membeli. Kafe di tingkat bawah, pasar raya organik, dan restoran dan kafe di sekitarnya Hotel ini dibina semula berdasarkan kilang pembakar porselin, jadi sangat bergaya dengan yang baru dan lama ~ Konsep ini memberi tumpuan kepada perkongsian ”pelajar”, jadi kakitangan perkhidmatan hotel lebih ramah dan santai Saya memberikan ais krim semasa mendaftar masuk. Perinciannya sangat comel. Masih perlu diperhatikan: cucian dan menyeterika hanya boleh masuk ke bilik dobi bersatu di tingkat pertama hotel Dobi, jenis layan diri yang dikendalikan dengan duit syiling, menyeterika pakaian, ada peralatan sesuka hati

We just spent a 2-day stay at Mabi City Centre Hotel/Maastricht. Lovely hotel, very clean, very well located nevertheless we experienced a big disappointment. As we left the hotel on Friday evening to head towards the restaurant, we left our key at the reception desk and gave it to the lady at the desk. When we came back, her (male) colleague, told us they didn't have our key, so basically either way they lost it or worse, it had been stolen or given to s.o. else. Fortunately, the man had a spare key and kindly accepted to open our room, but it left a very unpleasant and insecure feeling. We even slept with a pile of luggage to block the door inside. The next morning, we explained our situation to the reception desk and requested a solution ASAP. We left all day (not very at ease as we had valuable belongings in our room, meaning that anyone could enter it and potentially steal our stuff. Of course, nobody called us back during the day, and when coming back, the only thing they could propose was to provide us another key. No compensation for the (moral) harm suffered in any way but they would enquire what could be done and come back to us on Monday. Having received no news on Wednesday, we've sent an e-mail to which we haven't received ANY reaction so far. Very disappointing behaviour. So our stay left us with a very negative feeling. We had the unpleasant feeling the ladies we're not taking us seriously and even had doubts on the fact we gave that key back. The fact they didn't even come back to us confirms it all!
