"They have a bad habit of turning off their water. I was just now having a shower, shaving my head, and the water in the shower stopped. I had to walk downstairs to the reception with nothing but a towel and soapy head to ask them to turn on the water. they did so. however... When I exited the shower to brush my teeth, the water had stopped again! I waited at the reception but it seems they were hiding from me. I called The hotel number and they came downstairs. I questioned why they keep turning the water off. they just apologized and turned it back on. I don't shower profusely long. why does this hotel have a problem turning on their water? I think I know the answer... Because they have a leaky tap! I think that instead of repairing the tap, they'd rather just turn off the water..."

GGuest UserThe hotel room itself was gorgeous, semi-comfortable bed, the room was cleaned each day and restocked water and toiletries.
The location is pretty good as it is next to Central and also a day/evening market with a 7/11 at the end of the road.
My biggest problem was safety. It doesn’t have a road front lobby so you have to go through a little ally then up some stairs to get to the rooms. The door to the stairs is open 24/7 with no lock so literally anyone could get up into the hotel. The rooms only had a simple handle push button lock and didn’t have any other safety system. The lack of security and not having any reception staff on except when they are expecting guests to arrive/ leave meant the hotel feels very unsafe. As a solo traveller, that is my primary concern. There was a safety issue at one point with a guest being disruptive in the halls, it took about an hour for this to be sorted by a member of staff as I actually had to contact the owner of the hotel who then had to get some staff to the hotel to sort the problem. So even though it is a nice hotel, it wasn’t worth being worried about my safety.

AAnonymous UserWe liked this hotel so much that we extended our stay from 2 nights to 7 nights.
It is hotel-hostel hybrid. So there are both private hotel rooms and hostel dorms available. The staff are very friendly, prompt and helpful.
We stayed in a private room on the first floor. There was a balcony but we rarely went outside because there were a lot of mosquitoes. They also provided a clothes rack, so we placed the rack on the balcony to dry our laundry.
The rooms was very clean and had a spacious bathroom with a wet and dry area. 4 towels provided and cleaning every day.
2 water bottles, coffee packets and cups.
TV in the room.
Clean sheets.
Good AC and WiFi.
Side tables with lamps.
Kettle and mini fridge with freezer in the room.
Hot water.
Lounge and work stations with power sockets outside.
Daily breakfast included toast with jam, butter, coffee and milo.
Microwave in the pantry area to heat up food.
Pool on the outside.
Even a cute little cat that likes to roam around the premises.
Highly recommended.

IIvan KraljThe mattress was comfortable, but sadly the top middle beds are not the best place to put tall people (as they will inevitably hit beams with their head). Also, the electricity socket in my bed wasnt sturdy enough to hold a charger in place, so i had to improvize with putting a bag and a cap as the base, so it wouldnt be following out.
AC in the rooms is turned off between 11:30 and 16:30, fyi.
In terms of other facilities, everything else seemed spacious enough. Actually so spacious that i think the architect could have put additional toilets in the bathroom, as two didnt seem to be enough for the 1st floor (30ish people?). There were however 3 urinals, most awkwardly placed near the always opened doors, and sinks used by everyone (the bathroom is unisex). It would have made sense to get rid of these, and rather have another toilet.
As for showers, there are three. Water pressure was fine, even if it was hard to get truly warm/hot water. Shower gel/shampoo available, as well as necessary hooks to hang your stuff.
Breakfast was a simple scrambled egg with a slice of toast and butter, cabbage salad with mayonnaise, and a cheap sausage. Fine to start a day, but not so fulfilling. Coffee and tea available at breakfast, water throughout the day. You can also use the kitchen to make your own lunch or dinner.
In the lobby and outside, quite a few areas to hang out and chill. If you wanted to play pool, thats 20 baht. Board games were for free.
Top floor has washing machines (50 baht per load) and a dryer (10 for 5 min), but i think you would have to spend quite some time there reloading the coins. After 2 turns that didnt dry much, i hanged my laundry on limited hanging space, but beware if you do that, as it can be windy, and many clothes were flying around.
The staff is approachable and hospitable, even if their basic level of English can lead to quite a few misunderstandings, as I witnessed.

__Turtle_Lub D Phuket Patong Resort is an excellent choice for solo travelers, especially single ladies who appreciate space for their accessories. The standard single rooms assigned to us are perfectly sized, clean, and thoughtfully designed to offer comfort and privacy. Despite being a hostel, the room rates are affordable for having a private space all to ourselves, making it a great value option in a prime location just minutes from Patong Beach. In addition to that, they provide free WIFI and Netflix (provided you have an account to access). The friendly and helpful staff, along with the lively yet relaxed atmosphere, add to a memorable stay. Overall, Lub D resort combines convenience, comfort, and affordability in a vibrant setting suitable for solo adventurers. My travel size is 2 ladies with 2 single rooms by the way. Hotel provide game activities for hotel guests which is kinda engaging and fun. Good thoughts by the hotel. See picture below.

22morrowsworldMy initial thought on this accommodation business is in some ways positive. If it is viewed purely as a 'hostel' with an associated coffee shop, then it definitely has attributes (and I'll come back to those later).
But if taken at face value on the basis of its tariff cost and amenities, both real and indicated, then there are several problems with it. The first is the way the premises is represented on the Trip com platform.
Photographs of the double bedroom include one of a bathroom. The attached text description and its context makes the plain implication that the room has an ensuite bathroom, which it does not. If little scrutiny is applied when reading the description, this fact will escape the readers attention. Anyone looking to make a reservation quickly can easily be misled (inadvertently?) into believing that this is a 'hotel' style room. Many hostels do offer rooms with ensuite bathrooms after all. The bathroom is communal and is inconveniently located on the ground floor. Rooms are above this.
A second related criticism is the room size description - 18 m sq is quoted. The room has dimensions of 3 x 3.5 m. That is, about 10 m sq !
Although late February is still peak season in Phuket, it has to be said that the room tariff of almost $60 AUD per night is exorbitant. It may be considered acceptable for a 18 m sq hotel style room, given the circumstances, but a room of this kind at this particular locality ought to be offered at a lower price. Having said this, I concede that the reservation was made late and in haste.
Now onto the good things. The 10 m sq double bed room has old but high quality wooden furniture which serves its purpose well. The air conditioning is responsive and strong
There is a large kitchen next to the bathroom/wash basin (trough). It's equipped with a large fridge, sink, cutlery etc as well as a coffee maker ( + ground coffee). A delicious banana cake was offered to guests. Clothes can be washed and dried via a coin operated machine.
Other attributes include the woman owner/ manager who has a professional approach and an attitude very well suited to the hospitalality jndustry. The coffee shop also makes decent coffees and ham n cheese croissants.

ชชุติมา15The room was very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Most importantly, all the equipment in the room was usable. We only brought fresh ingredients for cooking. There are two bedrooms, and the price we booked was very reasonable.
Each bedroom has its own private bathroom. I really enjoyed it. I'll definitely take my family back for another trip.

GGuest UserLocated between two bars, the door has the Sundiva logo on it to help guide you. I think most people who come to Sundiva have trouble finding it because of its small entrance, but it gets wider once you go inside. Great place overall!

GGuest UserIf you have your own transport (car or scooter), then the place is very convenient. It's 1.5-1.7 km to the beach. It's 5-7 minutes by car. There were no waves there in May. There is also a beach with airplanes. There are also various cafes nearby at budget prices (look at Google maps), 7-eleven, a pharmacy, an exchange office, ATMs, massage parlors. It takes about 30-40 minutes to get to the old town in traffic jams. It's the same time to Central Phuket, Decatlon. It takes about 20-25 minutes to get to IKEA by car. It's also close to the airport. A taxi from the bungalow to the airport costs about ~ 200 baht (via Bolt, inDrive apps). A very budget price for living in a bungalow. Comfortable living with a small child, because It's quiet outside in the courtyard, the child has a place to walk and wander around (though once the local dog barked at the child. Other times it lay quietly and didn't react to the child walking nearby. But you should be on your guard).

MMelloskyMy pillows and sheets were not so clean, asked for them to be changed. Rooms with no window are stuffy, and they use a perfume which makes things worse. The ladies at the desk are quite friendly though
