Apartment di Grand Casablanca, Maghribi

I stayed at the Melliber Hotel for 5 nights in June 2023. I was a female travelling alone for an architectural research trip. I felt nervous because people said I must be mad travelling alone in Casablanca. For this reason, I had purchased door locks for my hotel door etc. I never used the lock once because the hotel felt safe and welcoming. It was clean. The breakfast was yummy - it varied slightly each day, serving a mix of cold salad of olives, salads, lovely fresh bread and you can purchase omelettes as a extra. The breakfast time was between 6.30-10.30am. I advise getting there around 9am. The hotel is in close vicinity to the mosque and therefore does not serve alcohol. I packed a few mini bottles of wine in my suitcase, to enjoy on my balcony. Although I did feel guilty drinking wine so close to the mosque. The double glazing is effective and the prayer calling doesn’t wake you up, although personally, the sound of the calling is comforting. You should note that the cafes and restaurants near the hotel, don’t serve alcohol. Once you travel past 1k, it seems to be served. I recommend walking down to the Central Market for a delicious fish lunch if you enjoy a glass of wine with your food. Being a city, the traffic is noisy and the drivers enjoy beeping their horns, so you will find that an evening on the balcony is not peaceful. However, it is much quieter than the Movenpick - which I visited one day. I sat on the 16th floor for a drink and a rest, and the sound of the noisy horns seems to travel upwards - it was deafening! On the last day, I had a problem charging my battery pack and the lovely Melliber staff went to the trouble of purchasing a power adaptor to make it work. It still didn’t work in the end, but I could tell that the staff really cared and wanted to fix the problem. You should know that UK phone power banks don’t tend to charge on Moroccan power). I had a problem with the return airport driver, booked through Expedia. The Melliber team made the necessary calls for me to ensure I had a return driver. I definitely don’t recommend Sahara Tours drivers - see my separate review for this. Finally, the hotel kindly upgraded me to suite with a balcony with the view of the mosque, which I requested by email. If there is any room for improvement, it would be that the Melliber website does’t work for me in the UK - I was directed to a page with a security warning and therefore I had to book through Expedia. It would be great if the hotel could provide a WhatApp number for taking bookings because my emails kept going into their spam before arriving which was stressful. Plus I purchased a data only ESIM for Morocco, and WhatsApp works well on this. All in all, I score this hotel a 5 for the reasons above. Thank you. I will book for 7 nights next year, assuming they can contact me on WhatsApp.

We stayed one night at this lovely hotel when we arrived in Casablanca. Very nice and comfortable rooms, including water bottles and coffee machine. Modern style decor. Super cool roof top bar and great drinks at reasonable price. Large breakfast and many choices. I have loved this hotel and recommend it if you stay in Casablanca.

На мой взгляд, лучшие апартаменты из тех, что я снимал в Марокко. Новый дом, круглосуточная охрана, чистые апартаменты, есть всё для проживания, удобная кровать, тихо и качественно работающий центральный кондиционер. До пляжа 30 минут пешком, на соседней улице небольшой Carrefour. Не хватило ложек из посуды. В остальном - отлично!

On 16 July 2024, I made a reservation at Le 22 Apparthotel in Casablanca for the period 20 September to 17 October 2024, which was confirmed by the hotel. This trip held immense personal significance for me and my husband, as it was scheduled around my In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) treatment at the Ghandi Clinic following unsuccessful attempts in the UK. Given the emotional and financial strain of this process, I expected a seamless experience through ***********. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Due to a change in our schedule, I made an additional booking for 18-19 September 2024, which was also confirmed and paid in full. Upon our arrival on 18 September, everything initially appeared to be in order. However, on the morning of 20 September, I received an unexpected message from *********** stating that our accommodation had been cancelled by the hotel, without any prior notice or explanation. When we spoke with the hotel management, we were informed that the cancellation was due to a ”lack of vacancies,” despite our booking being confirmed months in advance. To our shock, we were offered the same room if we agreed to pay an additional £600, a situation that felt both unethical and exploitative. Feeling cornered, we reluctantly paid for an extra night at full price before being forced to seek alternative accommodation at a higher rate due to the lack of availability in the area. This is nothing short of extortion of money! During our stay, we also encountered poor communication from the staff, particularly the management. The staff did not speak any English and made little to no effort to communicate efficiently or address our concerns. Our attempts to discuss these issues were met with hostility and indifference, which significantly affected the quality of our experience. Additionally, the breakfast provided was of poor quality, with limited variety, which fell short of the standard expected from such an establishment. The room itself was small and was not what we expected but would have suited our purpose if the hotel had engaged professionally. There was no parking out the front of the hotel during our short stay. We sincerely hope that future guests are treated with the professionalism and respect that was clearly lacking during our stay.

hôtel super super propre, salle de bain design et super propre, linge de lit frais et propre. ménage fait quotidiennement. hôtel idéal. smart tv dans le salon et la chambre avec Netflix :) je garde l’adresse pour mes prochains séjours sur Mohammedia le personnel est très agréable. deux piscines dont une avec deux petits toboggans pour les enfants. mon fils de 7 ans été très content et déçu de partir. l’un de mes meilleurs hôtels du Maroc

算是常規民宿吧，價格合適，沒什麼槽點，也沒什麼優點😂

The hotel was amazing. The room was big and cleaned every day, the breakfast was nice and nutritious. The staff were the best people: very welcoming and helpful, polite and smiling. I do recommend visiting this place. All the best from Victoria!

프론트 담당자는 따뜻했다. 시설은 평범했다. 내가 묵은 방은 넓었고 원룸 아파트같았다. 소파 침대도 있었고 공간이 넉넉했다. 평범하지만 좋은 점은 주변 상점과 수퍼에서 식품을 사서 음식을 만들 수 있는 오븐과 싱크대와 작은 냄비, 밥그릇등이 마련된 간이 주방이 있었다. 도심과의 거리는 CTM 버스 정류장과 3km(빨간택시 요금 8MAD)정도였다. 가족이 좋아하는 음식을 해 먹을 수 있는 장점이 있다.

The apartment was very comfortable and clean. The unit we had had a sofa bed and a separate bedroom. The rooms are a little larger than you typically find. Small kitchen area had a washer, sink, two burner range, hob, microwave, nespresso machine, hob, and pans/dishes/flatware. Bathroom was nice with a western style commode, large walk-in shower, and a wash basin vanity. Plenty off (too!) hot water. No keys required. All necessary door codes shared. Parking in basement but very steep ramp so wheels spin a little climbing out. Overall, great location with many, many eateries within a 5 minute walk. Great location for a short junket to Casablanca or a place to hole up while waiting for flight out. Would stay again!
