Hotel Beach di Kepulauan Ionian, Greece

Paid 50 euro for a transfer from the airport, but the transfer never showed up. We called the hotel and they said the transfer was on the way. After about 20 minutes in record heat, we chose our own cab and paid 20 euro to go to the hotel. We requested a refund on the airport transfer, but the hotel staff declined. Instead they asked for a taxi receipt to prove we paid for a cab. Seriously? I recommend not questioning your guests' integrity. Our room seemed more or less clean, but not going to win awards in that area. Also, there was a large chair missing one of the four feet, so it constantly wobbled. We did not bother to tell the hotel staff about this, as they were generally unwelcoming and we did not expect any resolution. Cut our trip short and went to another hotel.

Das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr gut! meine negativen Kommentare; Unten im Hotel riecht es sehr übel, es riecht nach Abwasser. 40€ Transfergebühr, obwohl es sehr nahe am Flughafen liegt Die Reinigung war an dem Tag, an dem wir dort waren, super! Aber, Ein junger Mann hat unser Zimmer gereinigt. und die Shampoos vergessen und der Geruch von Schweiß war drinnen! und Kaffee kommt nie wieder ins Zimmer

We stayed here for a long weekend in June 2023. We had a beachfront room, very spacious with a sliding door separating the main living area from a twin bedded area, ideal for a family. The room was very well appointed and spacious and clean. The restaurants were all very good, quality of food and choice of wine impressive. The breakfast in particular was very good, it was fairly busy when we went but we never had to wait for a table and the breakfast team were super helpful , friendly and efficient in finding us a table. The breakfast was one of the best that we’ve had, a huge array of hot and cold food, I couldn’t think of anything that wasn’t available. The staff throughout the resort were courteous, friendly and helpful. There are sun beds and parasols on the sandy beach which was clean and tidy. The bar area was also welcoming and well appointed. The hotel is a 10-15 walk from a marina that had a few bars and restaurants and about 10-15 in a taxi into Corfu town which has huge array of eateries, shops, bars etc. There is a water taxi at the jetty on the beach that can take you to a number of restaurants, all of which were wonderful. The only minor criticism I would have is that the concierge team seemed a little clueless, not having any restaurant recommendations or even knowledge of the water taxi service which we found a little odd. George on the front desk came to the rescue with information and help. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel for couples, friends or family and will definitely return.

Если есть желание прогуляться, то смело можно пройтись и посмотреть на нетуристические улочки города. До ближайшего пляжа меньше 5 минут ходьбы. В отеле живет кот Лазарус, у которого свой инстаграмм. В целом отель, персонал, местоположение выше всяких похвал.

Just returned from a lovely 10 night stay at Hotel Gouvia. The hotel is ideally located in central Gouvia and is an ideal base for a holiday in Corfu. The room we opted for was basic but suited our needs during our stay. The room was cleaned daily with fresh bedding and towels each time. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis which was ideal for us. The breakfast is plentiful with a wide range of fresh fruits, cereal, yogurt, cakes & pastries and a great selection of hot foods such as eggs bacon tomatoes and savoury pastries to name a few. The staff are friendly and always on hand to offer advice about days out and places of interest. I swim daily when at home so for me the pool was a massive bonus as it is a decent size where you can actually swim and was not full of kids on inflatables like you get in other places. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return if we visited Corfu again. Thanks to everyone who made our holiday a pleasant one. Yammas!

Lovely bright airy hotel right on the beach. Staff very friendly and helpful! We had a family room with an upstairs bedroom which meant the teenagers had some privacy. Having 2 bathrooms was a bonus. Fridge, kettle, slippers and bathrobes all provided. Table, chairs and somewhere for towels to dry provided in the patio area. Our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and bottled water added to fridge. We tried out the complimentary paddle boards and saw they also had other equipment which could be borrowed free of charge. As other reviewers have mentioned, worth investing in shoes for sea as there are some stones in the shallows when entering the sea from the front of the hotel. Don’t worry if forget to bring them as you can buy them cheaply in the shops nearby. Food was lovely especially the breakfasts! Well done to the staff at Iakinthos, would definitely recommend! A shout out to Emma, Jeo, Manos and Mary! 😃

Superb accommodation and location especially the beach, let down by the small details which are easily rectified if anyone actually did something about them. Food average. Very hilly and lots of steep slopes and steps so won’t be for everyone. Majority of staff helpful especially main restaurant and beach bar and beach staff.

I have to firstly say the staff were very amenable especially Christina on reception, breakfast was more than adequate i had to pay because we were room only but at 15 euros for both of us it was good value.The downside for us was the fact that the hotel is a bit out of the way, if you are not a good walker its not for you as its a steep climb up to the rooms. Pool was excellent, bar a bit pricey. The local beach not very good shingle and small / crowded.Another gripe of mine !! there is a courtesy bus ??? at a cost of 45 euros to go down the coast.Enjoyed the break but would not go back

This is one of the nicest hotel experiences we have ever had. This little family run hotel is in a great location near the beach and all the restaurants. It was spotlessly clean with nice rooms and very comfy beds. We were given such a warm welcome All the hotel staff were lovely and so helpful, they could not do enough for us. We also met members of the family who were delightful and really cared that every guest was given the best time and had everything they needed. Breakfast was delicious, fresh fruit, and a good selection of meats, cheeses, homemade pastries and cakes. Lovely personal touches too such as a bottle of wine on arrival and a little gift on departure. Thank you to everyone at Bella Vista who made our stay so enjoyable and memorable!

總體設施不錯。但酒店提供的旅遊諮詢服務欠缺： 入住4 天，天氣不好，雨天風大，酒店外出船隻停航，酒店衹提供他們自己的服務，問及附近有沒有飯店或者其他，一概不知/ 或者不說。4 天衹能在灑店獃著。其實不然，最後一天酒店附近走10 分鐘就是很多歺館和旅行相關的出海，Horse ride， car tour， jet tour .... 非常熱鬧的

This is an amazing hotel and was perfect for our needs. Two adults and a 13 & 10 year old. We stayed two weeks and had no issues at all. They can't do enough for you. The room was cleaned everyday. Fresh towels every two days. Pool area clean and tidy too. The lady behind the bar from Leeds is really friendly and helpful. Always said hello to me everyday and made the effort to talk to all guests. Sorry I'm rubbish with names. Check in and out was easy. Room comes with free air con and safe. It is in a quite part so no issues with noice late at night. Has a car park too Water park is across the road which was great for the kids

Do not stay here. My daughter and her friends went for a girl's holiday after their A Levels and loved Zante and said how beautiful it was but this accommodation proves you get what you pay for. They stayed the week that it was unbearably hot. You have to pay for air con as you do with all cheap hotels in Greece but although the staff said they air conditioning units were 'cleaned every year' this in my opinion is clearly incorrect. My daughter's friend that she was sharing with ended up in hospital overnight, on oxygen because the air conditioning was so poor that she literally could not breathe. When air conditioning units are dirty they circulate bacteria around the air and this is clearly what happened. Another one of the girls in a different room had the same sort of experience and ended up going to a different hospital unit. The staff at these hospitals both ascertained that poor air conditioning was the reason. So this is two different sources from two different places agreeing the same thing. I am sure when I write this review, the staff will write a load of garbage trying to defend their shoddy apartments like cornered rats. But having a 19 year old girl, lying on a hospital bed breathing oxygen through a mask whilst away from home is not acceptable. I appreciate it was a very hot time to go. I also appreciate this is a budget hotel. But would you want your child to go there and experience this, far from home? The girls had to tackle uncooperative staff who were rude, surely and made a bad situation worse. My daughter had to stand her ground, in floods of tears at the front desk, pleading for another, cooler room. After saying the hotel was full, after a lot of wrangling, he finally produced another room lower down and slightly cooler. But understandably her friend was too frightened to turn on the air conditioning. I am not even going to bother reading whatever clip retort the manager or owner comes up with to justify this because their behaviour is not acceptable and I very much doubt if adults had been staying there, they would have behaved in the same way. They think because kids are staying there on a budget holiday they can get away with it. But adults or young adults pay the same and would you take this risk of not being able to switch on expensive air conditioning when it boiling hot, for fear of having to wind up in a hospital bed struggling to breathe properly? Please clean up your act (literally) because someone could get seriously sick at your apartments. PS When my daughter called me and I initially asked about what the place was like she told me the sheets had 'muddy' stains on them. Lovely.

To begin with, when we arrived at this hotel the receptionist were very rude and not welcoming. They demanded our passports which we found unusual and told us it was for our safety but did not give them back when we asked for them. They told us we would get them when we checked out and that they would be safe with them. When we arrived in our rooms, we were greeted with dirty bedsheets, dirty towels, even towels which appeared to have human feces on. One of our rooms had a broken shower head which was reported twice and no one came to fix it the whole holiday. The fridges did not work. The rooms were not cleaned the whole holiday, except for new “bed sheets” which looked like a morgue sheet. We charged our phone in the room and the charger become so hot it melted due to the power out ledge. Our balcony frame was loose, and therefore dangerous for any families that were there. When we went down for breakfast, lunch, dinner the food was spilt everywhere and was hardly edible, and we all became really ill from this. The drink machines were dirty and depending on what you asked for, the bar staff would make you drink from these machines. You could only get one drink at a time. The bar staff were very rude. The staff picked and chose who they served first even if you were first in the queue. We found the security guard who also worked on the bar showed the better hospitality and was kind to all of us. All inclusive Food and drink services shut at least 30 minutes early everyday. The sunbeds were broken, which led to 3 of us fallen off multiple times. The pool was not cleaned once, and there are missing tiles on the bottom of the pool which caused one of the people I was with to cut there foot open. The pool was not filtered or fresh water and instead filled with salt water. This hotel is definitely not a 4 star, and we all struggled to see it as a 2 star. The people we spoke with just as we were leaving where so upset with this hotel and were looking for a rep from their booking company, but we explained that we had not seen one all week. Everyone else we spoke to throughout the week at this hotel had the same thoughts and opinions as us. At night time when coming back into the hotel the evening receptionist was intimidating to us. We would be having a conversation as a group and be shouted at to be quiet when we didn’t even have raised voices. We felt unsafe throughout the stay and if you are planning to come as a family, DO NOT! The only good thing about this hotel was the location, but there are multiple hotels in the area which looked far more appealing than ours. Do not believe the 5 star reviews you see here, believe these are done by employees at the hotel because there is no way this is a 5 star.

Well where do I begin? This was my second stay at this beautiful hotel and it most definitely didn't disappoint! From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the wonderful Abbie, I knew this was the place that I was going to spend a wonderful relaxing 2 weeks. Effie and Thenia were also on hand during the day to assist, and always with a smile. The amazing chef and kitchen crew worked wonders in such hot weather. Our cleaning lady was an absolute pleasure and our room was fit for a queen every single day. Joanna and Alex always go that extra mile to ensure that you want for nothing during your stay. Abbie's awesome cocktails are an absolute must too! Thank you to everyone for looking after us so well!! See you next year!!

We stated at Kefalonia Bay Palace for a week in a standard suite. Firstly the thing that stood out for us was the service from the staff, in particular the two ladies who waited at breakfast and then served at the pool bar. Inya and Alona (sorry for misspelling) were so attentive, always greeted us with a smile and asked how we were. They seemed to be working each day at breakfast and then opened up the pool bar where we were always greeted with a glass of fruit water followed by some water melon. It was a pleasure to see and chat to them each day. The second feature is of course the view, and what a view. All rooms have a sea view and the higher up your room the better view, but obviously you encounter more steps. The steps were fine for us as we are fairly fit and used this to get in some extra steps to work off all the lovely Greek food. The hotel was very clean and well maintained and the room was serviced everyday so we always came back to a made bed and clean room. Reception area is clean and modern in appearance and the pool whilst often quiet, so you never struggled to get a sun lounger, again had great views across the bay. We had lunch at the pool bar a couple of times which was good however, there was no consistency in terms of it being open. On one day the bar was not open at all and on another occasion it closed at around 2.30pm, then on other days it would be open until late afternoon despite the details left in the room stating it was open 11am – 7pm, which clearly was not always the case. We did not have an evening meal at the hotel or get a drink at the main bar as this did not appear to be manned or open, which was a real shame as this would be a lovely place to sit and have an evening drink taking in the great views before heading into the main town. People have commented on the breakfast, we personally found it to be average however it was not as bad as some have commented. We also decided to go into the main town for breakfast on a couple of occasions to have that variety. There may well have been a note on the bar suggesting contact reception or going downstairs to the restaurant to try and obtain a drink – but that all seemed a little irritating to be chasing a drink. We did eat out on all evenings at a different Taverna each time. There was plenty to choose from which were all good, our own particular favourite being Sea Rock, (great steak and seabass) which is a shortish walk down from the hotel. All in all we had a great holiday at this hotel and would certainly come back, however we do like to visit other areas. It's been a while since we last visited Greece so would probably be looking at other islands, however we did enjoy Agia Efimia !
