This hotel boasts an excellent location, making travel incredibly convenient. The JR station, bus stops, and highway bus terminal are all nearby. What's even better is that the ferry terminal is just a few minutes' walk away. In the evenings, you can enjoy a refreshing sea breeze and admire the night views at Takamatsu Port. The breakfast is abundant and delicious, and the dining staff are particularly warm and attentive! If I ever visit Takamatsu again, I would definitely choose this hotel!

The service was excellent, and the food was also good. Because we booked so late, only the smallest room type was available, but it was still very beautiful and clean.

I have stayed at various Toyoko Inn before. I have no complain for this one. The issue I encountered this time is that I got a smoking room, and the hotel was fully booked,?so not possible to switch. I thought I have always been very careful about booking a non-smoking room. Not sure where the mistake was happened.

The room is spacious and comfortable, with wet and dry separation. It is rare that the hot spring hotel room is also equipped with a separate shower room. The hotel is relatively elegant overall, the hot springs are comfortable, and the banquet cuisine and buffet breakfast are also good.

During my recent trip to Japan, I had the pleasure of staying at a hotel that also serves as a wedding venue — and from the moment I arrived, the level of service was simply impeccable. As a solo traveler, I found the space more than sufficient — cozy, comfortable, and a fantastic value for the price. It truly struck the perfect balance between affordability and quality. A special mention goes to the amenities: the hotel provides a well-stocked amenity station at the reception, where guests can freely pick up whatever they need — a detail that reflects the hotel’s attention to guest convenience. While the location is a little removed from the city center, this wasn’t an issue at all for me, as I had a rental car. The added bonus? Free parking on-site, which made my stay even more convenient and budget-friendly. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations in so many ways. With its blend of elegant ambiance, exceptional service, and thoughtful touches, it became a peaceful and comfortable base for my journey — one I would gladly return to and wholeheartedly recommend to fellow travelers.

The staff of Olivean Shodoshima Yuhigaoka Hotel are professional and considerable. Their service are excellent, especially 1) The shuttle bus driver (morning shift strong man, forgot asking his name). When we arrived at Shodoshima Ferry Pier at 11:00am on April 7, we found a hotel shuttle bus, but not sure if it's the one of our staying hotel. We asked the driver if it's the one that waiting to pick us up. He said yes, but the hotel check-in time should be 3:00pm in the afternoon. He suggested us to have the sightseeing first and helped register the afternoon time for picking us instead. Also, he suggested taking our hand carry bags to the hotel front desk to avoid we carrying too heavy bags while travelling. 2) The lady staff (sorry for forgetting her name) at the lobby hall, who was very proactive. She came over immediately to help taking photos for us when she found we're taking a selfie. She also served us with free drinks for enjoying the sunset at the hall. 3) The staff at the reception desk are very professional. They helped us for check-in, explained the details of the time for meals, and provided all the information required. 4) The foods for dinner & breakfast buffet are very nice and yummy. The restaurant is clean and tidy. Overall, Olivean Shodoshima Yuhigaoka Hotel is a very professional and comfortable accommodation for stay. We're pleased and feel glad choosing this hotel.

Hotel staff at reception desk is super helpful and very patient to assist customer. Room is super clean and breakfast is nice. We stayed this hotel for 4 nights for a golf trip. During our stay, there were a couple issues we have with car rental companies. Staff was very kind to help in local languange conversation with call center and local police individuals to effectively get thing done. I cannot image how long it will take for us to communicate with non-Japanese lauguage... Good job Route Inn hotel.

We have stayed in many Daiwa Roynet Hotels in Japan, and we’ve trusted the Daiwa Roynet brand very much. However, the Takamatsu property is the worst we’ve experienced so far, and after this stay we will be more cautious about choosing to stay at Daiwa Roynet in the future. The facilities are very old and urgently need refurbishment. The cleanliness of our room was also quite shocking. There was hair in the bathroom and bathtub, and hair on the pajamas they provided, as shown in the photo. There were stains throughout the room as well. The bedding used is also smaller than the bed as shown in the picture. If you’re planning day trips to the islands, the hotel isn’t very close to the port. There are plenty of shops nearby, though, so the overall location is ok.

The location is absolutely unbeatable — just a 3-5 minute walk from a vibrant nightlife district and a food street packed with amazing options. The on-site bathhouse is spotless and even offers free ice cream, which was a delightful surprise. Breakfast is incredibly rich and varied, with something for everyone. Overall, a fantastic stay — I’d definitely come back!

very happy stay! staff very helpful we are very appreciate, just the staff only can speaks little english, we use the apps translator so still very smooth. from airport to hotel, you can take the limousine bus, ticket buy ar the machine, bus stop just right outside at No.2 platform, has airport staff might guide you, travel time about 20-25 minutes can get there, the stop just right at the hotel, the market street just behind the hotel, Takamatsu shops testaurant closed quite early, most of that closed about 8, just some abit late.. if you want to find dinner restauant must go earlier. many Izakaya (居酒屋) around the hotel but they needs to book reservation, walk in almost full!! Car park is ¥1400 per night, outside car parks is more cheaper but inside the hotel that convenient if you bought some stuff 😆 but only few inside, no advance resersations, its first come first served every night, so u have to go early to get the parking
