Taipei 101 Ultimate Guide 2026: Tickets, Transportation, Best Photo Ops, Halal Food, and Tax Refund Guide

Gambar Profil Penulis

If it's your first time in Taipei, Taipei 101 will almost certainly be on your itinerary.

Beyond ascending the high-altitude observation deck to overlook the entire city of Taipei, the Xinyi District where Taipei 101 is located is also fantastic for exploring: the area is packed with large shopping malls, urban parks, cultural and creative spots, photo hotspots, and plenty of restaurants. If you love photography, you can also add Elephant Mountain, the 44 South Village, and the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall to your itinerary to capture Taipei 101 from different angles all in one trip.

For Malaysian travelers, what truly impacts the travel experience is usually not "how tall Taipei 101 is," but rather:

  • 🎫 How much is the ticket, and what is that in Malaysian Ringgit?
  • 🚆 Is it convenient to get there from Taoyuan Airport?
  • 🌇 What's the best time to head up to the observation deck?
  • 🕌 Are there any Halal restaurants and prayer spaces nearby?
  • 🛍️ Can I get a tax refund on my purchases?
  • 📸 Where is the best place to photograph Taipei 101?

Let's start this post with these most practical questions.

🎫 Taipei 101: Tickets, Opening Hours, and Best Times to Visit

The Taipei 101 Observatory is generally open from approximately 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

The standard adult observation deck ticket is approximately:

NT$600 ≈ RM77

If you don't want to spend time waiting in line, there's also a Priority Pass fast-track option:

NT$1,200 ≈ RM154

If you'd like to head even higher to experience the 101st floor, there's an additional fee; if your budget allows, you might also consider the Skyline 460 outdoor sky experience.

🌇 When is the best time to visit?

If your goal is to see it all at once:

☀️ Taipei by day
🌅 Sunset
🌃 Night View

It's recommended to head to the observation deck about 60–90 minutes before sunset.

For example, if the sunset is at 18:00 that day, you can plan to enter around 16:45–17:15.

This way, you can first see the Taipei Basin by day, then wait for the sky to gradually turn orange-red, and finally watch the Xinyi District and the entire city light up.

📸 Golden Hour for Photos

If you're serious about getting that perfect shot, the one thing worth waiting for is:

30 minutes before sunset → 30 minutes after sunset

Especially about 10–25 minutes after sunset, when the sky still retains a hint of blue and the city lights have already flickered on, this "blue hour" usually offers the most depth.

📸 The best attractions to visit around Taipei 101

It would actually be a bit of a shame if you just visited the observation deck and left.

There are quite a few attractions near Taipei 101 that are within walking distance or just a stop or two away by MRT, making them perfect for a half-day or full-day itinerary.

🥾 Elephant Mountain

If you've seen "Taipei 101 + the full city skyline" on Instagram, Xiaohongshu, or in travel promotional photos, many of those shots were taken from Elephant Mountain.

The greatest charm of Elephant Mountain is that you can see the entire Taipei 101 building and the cluster of skyscrapers in the Xinyi District from a slightly elevated vantage point.

This place is especially perfect for:

  • 🌇 Watch the Sunset
  • 🌃 Capture the Night View
  • 📷 Capture the classic Taipei 101 city shot
  • 🥾 For travelers who enjoy light hiking

The most famous area is around the "Six Boulders".

It's recommended to start heading up the mountain about an hour before sunset to avoid climbing the stairs in total darkness.

If the weather is nice, with the sunset falling behind the Taipei cityscape and 101 beginning to light up, the scene is truly iconic of Taipei.

🏘️ Four Four South Village

If you don't feel like hiking, 44 South Village is another highly recommended photo spot.

This place was originally an old military dependents' village, and now it preserves some of the low-rise old buildings and community spaces.

The biggest highlight is:

Traditional old houses and the modern Taipei 101 appear in the same frame.

This contrast between the old and the new is a very distinctive feature of Taiwanese cities.

Suitable for:

  • 👨‍👩‍👧 Family travelers
  • 👶 Traveling with kids or a stroller
  • 📸 Love taking casual photos
  • ☕ For those who want to stroll leisurely and grab a coffee

Photographing Taipei 101 from here doesn't require any hiking, and it's also a great spot to dress up a bit for your travel photos.

🏙️ Xinyi Shopping District

The area where Taipei 101 is located is one of the most modern commercial districts in Taipei.

There are many shopping centers nearby, including large department stores, boutiques, restaurants, cafes, and cinemas.

If you're coming from Kuala Lumpur, you can think of this place as a combination of:

KLCC + Bukit Bintang + TRX

feeling.

It's perfect for combining "Taipei 101 + shopping + dinner" all in one day.

It's also great to stroll around here at night; the street lights and the atmosphere of the high-rises give it a very urban feel.

🏛️ Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall

The area around the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall is another classic spot for photographing Taipei 101.

There's plenty of open space here, so you can get a shot of the entire 101 from a distance.

Compared to Elephant Mountain:

  • No hiking required
  • More spacious
  • Better suited for family travelers
  • It's great for photos during the day too

If you want to take a photo of "a person + the full 101," it's usually easier to compose the shot here than standing right at the base of Taipei 101.

🎨 Songshan Cultural and Creative Park

Travelers who love cafes, design, creative arts, and exhibitions should definitely add Songshan Cultural and Creative Park to their Xinyi District itinerary.

This place was converted from old industrial buildings, giving it a rather artistic and trendy vibe.

Things to explore:

  • 🎨 Design Exhibition
  • 🛍️ Creative Merchandise
  • ☕ Coffee Shop
  • 📸 Industrial-style photo spot

Perfect for those who don't want to spend all their time wandering through shopping malls.

🚆 How do I get to Taipei 101 from Taoyuan Airport?

After flying into Taoyuan Airport from Kuala Lumpur or Penang, the best way for first-time visitors to Taiwan is:

✈️ Taoyuan Airport → Taipei Main Station → Taipei 101

Step 1:

Take the Taoyuan Airport MRT Express Train to Taipei Main Station.

The approximate time from the airport to Taipei Main Station is:

35–40 minutes

Approximate cost:

NT$160 ≈ RM20.50

Then, from Taipei Main Station, enter the Taipei MRT system and take the Red Line to:

Taipei 101 / World Trade Center Station

MRT fare is about:

NT$25 ≈ RM3.20

So the total cost of public transport is only about: 💰 Around RM24

For solo travelers or couples, this is usually the most cost-effective option.

🧳 What to do if you have too much luggage?

If you're dragging two large suitcases, you might want to consider:

🚕 Taxi
🚗 Private Transfer
🚐 Airport Transfer

The approximate taxi fare from Taoyuan Airport to Xinyi District is:

NT$1,200–1,700 ≈ RM154–218

If you're traveling in a group of 3–4 people, splitting the cost often isn't much more expensive than public transport, plus you get the convenience of being dropped off right at your hotel.

💳 Is the EasyCard worth buying?

Totally worth it.

The EasyCard can be used for:

  • 🚆 MRT
  • 🚌 Bus
  • 🏪 Convenience Store
  • 🥤 Some vending machines
  • 🍜 Selected restaurants and shops

You can buy it as soon as you arrive at the airport.

For independent travelers, it's much more convenient than buying individual tickets every time.

Kuala Lumpur to Taipei Flight

  • Pergi Balik
  • Sehala

📱 SIM or eSIM?

The best thing about short trips is:

eSIM

Suitable for:

  • 3–7 day trip
  • Phone supports eSIM
  • No Taiwan phone number required

You can install it before leaving Malaysia, and open it directly once you arrive in Taiwan.

If you need a local number or aren't familiar with eSIMs, you can purchase a physical SIM card after arriving at Taoyuan Airport.

🛂 Entry, Visa, and Customs: Do Malaysians need a visa to visit Taiwan?

Currently, if you are traveling to Taiwan with a standard Malaysian passport, you can generally enjoy:

✅ Up to 30 days visa-free

It is recommended that your passport has at least 6 months of validity remaining from the date of entry.

Also prepare:

  • ✈️ Return flight ticket
  • 📍 Hotel Address
  • 🛂 Valid passport
  • 📱 Taiwan Online Arrival Card

Generally, if you are flying directly to Taipei for tourism from places like KL or Penang, you do not need to apply for a separate tourist visa.

However, policies are subject to change, so it is still recommended to check the latest official announcements from Taiwan before you depart.

👀 Don't forget to buy your Taiwan SIM card in advance so you can get connected smoothly as soon as you land~

The location is fantastic, making it super easy to get around. The hotel itself has a really elegant and grand atmosphere. Our room was spotless and very tidy, and the stay was quiet and comfortable. The service was friendly and welcoming, very attentive, and super efficient. Breakfast was delicious and offered a great variety. Overall, it's excellent value for money, and our stay was incredibly pleasant and relaxing. We're extremely satisfied and highly recommend it!

We recently stayed at the Dinosaur Kingdom Family Room and transferred to a Premier Twin Room the following day. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The staff were consistently kind, helpful, and accommodating, which we truly appreciated. We especially enjoyed the family room—it was thoughtfully designed and perfect for traveling with a young child. I had initially planned for a two-night stay in this room, but unfortunately, renovations were scheduled to begin the following day. This was a bit disappointing, as it made our time there feel quite short, especially with other activities already planned during our trip. In comparison to other five-star hotels we’ve stayed in, I did find the lack of flexibility with early check-in a bit surprising, particularly for the themed room. We had hoped to settle in earlier, and similarly, the following day’s transfer to the Premier room was not available early as it was fully booked. While this was different from what I’m used to, I do understand that this may be part of their standard protocol. On a positive note, we loved the buffet, and the rooms were very comfortable. The complimentary drinks were a nice touch, and the playroom area was excellent—clearly designed with families in mind. It was also lovely to see the hotel organizing activities for children. During our stay, there was a special event (like a children’s appreciation day?), where me and my baby were able to participate in arts and crafts and even received small prizes, which made the experience extra memorable. The swimming pool was decent, though not very large, and the water was quite cold, so we ended up enjoying the bathtub instead. One area for improvement would be cleanliness. We noticed visible dust in the room, which was concerning—especially since the room is designed for small children, and for someone like me who is diagnosed with allergies to multiple types of dust mites. I did raise this with Lara at the lobby, who kindly apologized and mentioned she would inform housekeeping. However, upon transferring rooms the next day, I still noticed dust in certain areas, which made me question the thoroughness of the cleaning. Separately, I also observed that some toiletries (such as conditioner and lotion) were nearly empty upon arrival, suggesting they may not have been checked or replenished prior to our stay. Despite these points, we genuinely had a pleasant experience overall and would consider returning. I’m also excited and curious to see what the next theme for the family rooms will be after the renovations.

This was a pleasant stay. We were traveling with a child, and I had specifically requested a high floor in my Ctrip booking notes. To my surprise, the hotel really paid attention to it! The hotel has 30 floors in total, and they put us on the 29th floor, which was absolutely perfect with fantastic views. **Cleanliness:** The room had a separate wet and dry area, and the toilet was smart and very clean. **Transportation:** The hotel is located right above Wanhua Railway Station. You just turn a corner from the ticketing hall of Wanhua Station and you're there. It's also only a 5-minute walk to Longshan Temple MRT Station. **Local Food:** Around Longshan Temple MRT Station, there's an Oyster Vermicelli shop (diagonally opposite the 50 Lan milk tea shop) that you absolutely *must* try. The flavor is great and it's generously portioned. I dare say you won't find a better oyster vermicelli in all of Taiwan. Remember, next to the oyster vermicelli shop, there's a place selling grilled sausages – grab one of those too. Vermicelli + grilled sausage = a perfect combination! There's also a night market in Longshan Temple in the evenings.

A genuine and detailed review based on my recent stay. The mattress feels as if it has a latex overlay. It felt slightly stiff and uncomfortable when I first laid down, though my overall sleep quality was still acceptable. I am curious whether this mattress type is only used in rooms 547 and 548, or if this is the standard bedding setup across the entire hotel. The front desk and concierge service were excellent and flexible. We were originally assigned rooms on the 10th floor, which would have offered great city views. After making a last-minute additional booking and requesting adjacent rooms, the team kindly rearranged our stay to two end rooms on the 5th floor. Although there was no view, the arrangement was perfectly fine for our group. Some hotel policies feel less aligned with international luxury standards. Breakfast service ends promptly at 10:00 AM, which is quite early, and the standard check-out time is 11:00 AM. That said, the hotel was accommodating and allowed us a complimentary late check-out until noon upon request. We had an unpleasant experience with one breakfast staff member. We booked two rooms in total: one with breakfast included and one without. Our friend from the non-breakfast room came downstairs after 10 AM, by which time the buffet had already been fully cleared with no food left at all. Despite there being nothing available to take, the staff assumed we were trying to sneak in complimentary food and asked us to sign a charge slip. This unfair presumption that we were trying to gain petty advantages made our group feel very uncomfortable. The gym and sauna area are always extremely crowded. Unlike typical luxury hotels, these facilities are open to external members as well as in-house guests, resulting in heavy traffic at all times. On the positive side, the rooftop swimming pool is well-maintained and very pleasant to use. The room design is stylish and modern. The minibar is generously laid out and visually gives the impression of being complimentary, though guests should note that items are actually chargeable. The shower pressure is strong and excellent, offering a great bathing experience. Final Verdict The Regent Taipei is absolutely worth booking if the rate is under HK$2000. However, for any rate above HK$2000, it is far better to upgrade to the Mandarin Oriental Taipei for a HKD few hundred dollars extra — the service and overall standard truly match its premium luxury ranking.

The hotel is located near to the Zhongxiao Dunhua station (exit 3) and walking distance from Ming Yao Department Store, Taipei Dome, Songshan Cultural and Creative Park and National Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall. There are also many convenience stores within the vicinity and famous donut stores nearby. During our stay, we travelled by foot from the hotel to Pokemon Center Taipei, Taipei 101 and even to Linjiang Night Market.  The room is spacious. There are bathtub and shower in our room, but due to the law in Taiwan, please prepare your own toothbrush and toothpaste. There are also luggage weighing machine and coin-laundry machines in a small room on the floor where they serve breakfast. While not to expect a widespread of choices, I think their breakfast selection is a decent combination of local dishes and western options. Special mention that their pineapples are very sweet! If you are interested, you may also check out over the counter on the selection of local products that can be ordered and delivered to the hotel. It may save you trouble to locate some of the famous brands in Taipei. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Green World Zhongxiao.

Spacious room. Service is good. Most of the female receptionists are friendly and helpful. Bfast is good too (hotpot buffet - without meat, rice bowls, unli drinks: coffee, juice, soda). As read in some of the reviews, its kind of difficult to find the assigned room as it has a lot of hallway turns. With big/comfy lobby, with free iced tea and juice. 10 mins walk going to Ximending shopping center. ☺️

Giving it a 5-star rating feels like an understatement. 💯 📍 **[Amazing Location]** The transportation is incredibly convenient, right in the heart of a bustling area. Exploring and enjoying food and drinks couldn't be better! The city views from the window are also stunning – every photo looks like it's from a magazine. 🏙️ 🌟 **[Surprising Details]** Even though it's an established hotel that's been open for over a decade, the facilities are maintained as if they were brand new! The hotel is a bit dated, which wasn't exactly what I had hoped for, but I was aware of it when making the reservation. Naturally, I would have preferred more modern facilities; however, the excellent service, convenient location, and outstanding breakfast buffet more than made up for it. The breakfast offered a great variety of hot dishes, fruits, and beverages, and the hotel is just a five-minute walk from the nearest metro station, making it very easy to get around the city. It's only 500 meters from Fuhang Soy Milk and just 200 meters from Simple Kaffa, the world champion coffee shop, along with other cafes – all within walking distance. It was pretty close to Da’An metro station, approximately about 5 mins walk. Room was alittle rustic and there are two lifts. I wouldn’t put too high of an expectations over their onsen or private sauna but is nice to have it especially if it gets too cold . Overall, I will say is definitely convenient to get around from the hotel. Bed was comfortable but there aren’t any Taipei 101 views, as there are tons of new architecture being built. After checking out and heading to the airport for a late-night flight, I realized upon arriving at the airport that I had accidentally left my passport inside the safety deposit box in my room at Hotel Éclat Taipei. I immediately called the hotel and the staff responded right away by checking the safe and confirmed that my passport had been found. The team was incredibly responsive and worked hard to arrange a way to get the passport to me before my flight. While they were trying to coordinate the delivery, the hotel's General Manager, Ms. Amy Yu, personally stepped in to help. She even came to the airport herself and, despite the urgency of the situation, when I asked how I should pay her back in return, she calmly reassured me not to worry about that at the moment and instead asked me to focus on getting through immigration and making my flight on time. I was deeply touched by her kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. She showed a level of empathy and dedication that is increasingly rare in today's hospitality industry. The staff and management did not have to go to such lengths to help me, but they did, and thanks to them I was able to retrieve my passport and continue my journey without disaster. Beyond this unforgettable experience, the hotel itself is fantastic. The property has a unique artistic character, beautifully combining art, design, and luxury. It has a warm, creative atmosphere that makes it stand out from many other high-end hotels. Most importantly, it has something that cannot be easily taught or bought. The human touch, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality of the people here made all the difference. Having stayed at several hotels in Taiwan, I can honestly say that Hotel Éclat Taipei stands out for its responsiveness and sincere care for its guests. My heartfelt thanks to Amy Yu and the entire team. I would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Taipei.

This is our second time staying in Stat Beauty Hotel for their Luxury Double Room. This time we stay for 4 nights and the location of the hotel is near the MTR station and the night market of Shillin Night Market. It will about 15 - 20 minutes from the hotel walk to the MTR station or take 20 - 26 minutes from the hotel walk to Shillin Night Market. The room we booked is big enough for us it two persons that stay and the room is nice but the hotel always provide one pillow for one person . If I sleep on the bed with only one pillow then I can see the rooftop and not the TV. I suggest to the hotel to provide two pillows for each person to stay  without our request, so that he can watch the TV easily. The bathroom is big and come with a big bathtub. The water pressure is now t very strong but just good enough for shower.  I would like to make a bit complaint to the old lady for the the housekeeping. She only come to change towels, refill toiletries  and thru rubbish only and never do cleaning and arrange the bedding. So on my third day O have towels request to the front seat to tell her to clean our toilet. Overall we are happy to stay in Star Beauty Hotel and would like to recommend this hotel to other travellers. I will stay again if I come to Taipei in the future.

🕌 Muslim-Friendly: Halal Food, Prayer Spaces, and Accommodations

This section is especially important for Muslim travelers from Malaysia.

The good news is that Taipei has become increasingly friendly to Muslim travelers in recent years.

🕌 Does Taipei 101 have a Prayer Room?

Yes.

Taipei 101 features a Muslim-friendly prayer space and provides basic prayer facilities.

So if you're planning to spend the whole afternoon at Taipei 101 and the Xinyi District, you usually don't need to travel far for worship.

Some nearby conference venues and public facilities also have Prayer Rooms.

🍛 Halal food near Taipei 101

Khana Khazana

An Indian/Pakistani restaurant.

If you've been eating Taiwanese food for a few days in a row and suddenly find yourself craving more familiar spices and curry, this place will be much more suited to the Malaysian palate.

🍜 Halal Chinese Beef Noodle House

If you're visiting Taiwan and craving beef noodles but are concerned about Halal options, you should prioritize looking for restaurants with official Muslim-friendly certification.

The biggest highlight of Taiwanese beef noodles is:

🥩 Tender, slow-cooked beef
🍜 Chewy noodles
🥣 Rich and flavorful broth

It's a quintessential Taiwanese dish that's definitely worth trying.

If you have enough time, I also recommend visiting the Taipei Grand Mosque.

This is one of the most important Muslim religious sites in Taiwan.

It's also quite easy to find Muslim-friendly or Halal dining options nearby.

If it happens to be a Friday, Muslim travelers might want to consider including Jumu'ah Prayer in their itinerary for the day.

🥟 Din Tai Fung|A popular must-eat at Taipei 101, but not Halal

When visiting Taipei 101, many Malaysian travelers think of Din Tai Fung.

Din Tai Fung is, of course, most famous for its xiao long bao (soup dumplings), but they also serve fried rice, steamed dumplings, shumai, beef noodle soup, and a variety of other Taiwanese and Chinese dishes.

Its biggest selling point is being able to watch the chefs make xiao long bao (soup dumplings) right in front of you. Plus, the restaurant is located within the Taipei 101 shopping district, making it perfect to combine with a visit to the observation deck and some shopping on the same day.

If you're not Muslim, it's definitely worth experiencing Taiwan for the first time.

However, Muslim travelers must take special note: Din Tai Fung in Taiwan is not a Halal restaurant.

The official Din Tai Fung Taiwan menu clearly includes pork ingredients, such as pork buns and certain types of shumai and dumplings; official ingredient information also lists pork. Although the menu also features options like chicken xiao long bao and vegetarian dishes, this does not mean the restaurant is a Halal-certified environment.

Therefore:

✅ Non-Muslim tourists: A must-add to your Taipei 101 food bucket list.
⚠️ Muslim travelers: If you strictly adhere to a Halal diet, it is recommended not to consider Din Tai Fung as a Halal dining option; opting for officially certified restaurants will give you greater peace of mind.

🏨 How to choose Muslim-friendly accommodations?

When booking a hotel, you might want to prioritize:

  • 🕌 Muslim-friendly certification
  • 👨‍👩‍👧 Family room
  • 👶 Baby cot
  • 🚼 Stroller-friendly
  • 🚇 Near the MRT
  • 🍳 Is a Muslim-friendly breakfast available?

If it's your first time in Taipei, stay in:

Xinyi, Taipei Main Station, Zhongshan, or Ximending

Usually the most convenient.

We just returned to the Philippines after a wonderful 10-day stay at Finders Hotel Qufian, and we truly couldn’t be happier with our experience. We came in not expecting much, but this hotel completely exceeded our expectations. The staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and made both check-in and check-out smooth and easy. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. We absolutely loved the ambience of the hotel, everything was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, especially for families. Traveling with a child can sometimes be challenging, but this place had everything we needed. The kids’ playroom was a highlight, our daughter loved it so much and genuinely enjoyed every moment of our stay. The room, while not very large, was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The temperature and heating were just right, making it very relaxing after long days of exploring. The bed is more of a typical Asian-style mattress (not super soft), but it was perfectly fine for us and didn’t affect our comfort. Breakfast was consistently excellent. We especially enjoyed the Chinese cuisine selection, and the unlimited beverages, coffee, snacks, and even noodles were such a thoughtful touch, perfect for those late-night cravings! The WiFi was fast and reliable, which was important for me as I had online meetings and even did some Netflix streaming without any issues. Location-wise, it’s fantastic, close to many of Taipei’s must-see attractions like Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, National Taiwan Museum, and 228 Peace Memorial Park (which we absolutely loved). It’s also conveniently near NTU Hospital Station, making it easy to get around the city. This is a hotel I would highly recommend, especially for families traveling with kids. In fact, I’ve already recommended it to friends! We will definitely be booking here again on our next trip to Taiwan.

Wow! This was the coolest place to stay for so many reasons. If you want a nice hangout area each evening, we had so much fun shooting hoops, playing air hockey, darts, trying little snacks and ramens provided, and taking photos in their Photo Booth. They provide so much and the staff were very helpful. Sometimes you can catch a small breakfast and coffee in the morning. The ONLY con is that the rooms are small.

The Z8 exit, which connects directly to the subway station, is right in front of the hotel entrance. However, there are no escalators, making it incredibly difficult to carry heavy, large suitcases up. It's actually more convenient to use the escalator at the K12 exit in the opposite K section and then cross the street. The room I stayed in this time had a great view and was a good size, not too small. However, the refrigerator wasn't cooling at all, so it wasn't suitable for keeping water, beer, or other drinks cold. It probably needs repair or replacement. The hotel is within walking distance of Ximending and conveniently located for using Taipei Main Station. The Airport MRT station is also close by. Overall, the facilities are clean. As for amenities, only basic toiletries are provided, so you'll need to bring your own personal hygiene items. Room cleaning needs to be requested by filling out a form and submitting it a day in advance. You can pick up complimentary bottled water from the 4th-floor lobby. Towel changes and trash removal can be requested on the same day. Usually, if you inform them before you head out, they'll take care of it while you're gone.

We stayed for 3 nights with 2 adults and 1 toddler, including breakfast. Pros: Excellent location: Direct access from Exit Z8 of Taipei Main Station's underground shopping mall. All hotel facilities are on the 4th floor, except for the breakfast area: a play area for toddlers, a dedicated play zone for children, and complimentary snacks from 2 PM to 4 PM (redeemable with room key). Bottled water is available for self-service all day. Reasonable room size: Plenty of space to move around even after unpacking. Responsive staff: Provided reasonable assistance promptly. Breakfast on the 37th floor: Tables are well-spaced, offering great views. Some dishes vary daily, including tea eggs and ********* sausages with chicken drumsticks. Areas for improvement: Exit Z8 is convenient but has no elevator. You'd need to go out one block earlier for elevator access. To get from the room to breakfast on the 37th floor, you need to change elevators. The hotel doesn't proactively clean the room, but you can request trash disposal and towel changes.

Wellness descends upon arrival at this hotel. I must say we were blown away - by the design and experience. This was an excellent hotel and environment and one of the best stays in Taipei our family had. There is welcome snacks and drinks and a very serene peaceful space in every corner of the hotel. We enjoyed the quiet ambience and respectful service by the various staff. The in-room onsen bath is a highlight of the stay. And the beds (we had a large king) was simply divine. The mattress topper was superb, firm and yet supportive and comfortable. The variety of pillows available made our sleep sweet. I have to commend the quality of bedding - it is excellent! The decor and room is elegantly well-designed with thoughtful details, we appreciated it so much. I would definitely come back to Beitou again just to stay here again! Thank you for the wonderful experience!

The hotel is a bit dated, which wasn't exactly what I had hoped for, but I was aware of it when making the reservation.
