Deng Weipeng, one of the hotel staff, was incredibly thoughtful. Right after we checked in, he immediately helped us plan our sightseeing itinerary and booked tickets for the National Forest Park, Charming Xiangxi Show, and Yellow Dragon Cave. He was always available to answer our questions – truly excellent service! For our honeymoon, they upgraded our room, decorated it beautifully, and even provided a cake. Our experience was absolutely perfect.

I stayed in a wooden cabin villa with a huge balcony. The driver was very punctual for station pick-ups and drop-offs, and the front desk service was excellent. The auntie who made rice noodles for us at breakfast was also very kind. The staff and service here are all wonderful. Plus, the hotel is very clean. Even though it's been rainy these past few days in Zhangjiajie, the dehumidification in the room was great at keeping things dry! Waking up to beautiful views from the window every day really boosted my mood.

Thanks for the complimentary upgrade to the executive room. The front desk staff were really welcoming and efficient with check-in and check-out, so there was no long wait. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft, and even the nooks and crannies were well-maintained. The soundproofing was excellent; I barely heard any noise from the hallway or outside, which made for a peaceful sleep. The location is superb, making it very convenient for getting a taxi, exploring shopping areas, and dining. The bathroom had good water pressure, and hot water came out quickly, making for a comfortable shower experience. The room amenities were complete; the air conditioning and WiFi worked perfectly without any issues. The cleaning staff were polite and proactively asked if I needed more toiletries. The hotel environment was quiet, public areas were clean, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant. It offers great value for money; the facilities and service exceeded my expectations for the price. Overall, my stay was excellent, and I'll definitely prioritize this hotel for my next trip.

Staying at Forest homestay was the best decision we could have made during our trip to China. The service was truly 5 star. The staff at the lodge are so kind, helpful and efficient. We got personalised itineraries each day that changed a lot based on the weather, which was quite mixed! I was very impressed by their efficiency and flexibility. Each day we were driven to and from the park gate (for free). Pickup was within a couple of mins of us messaging that we were ready to leave. All of the staff were wonderful, but Guo Pu was a standout from our trip. Not only did he cart us around and respond to any questions via WeChat within minutes, but he made sure we got the most out of our time there - he pulled fruit from fruit trees at the lodge for us to eat, showed us the various animals they keep onsite, and took photos of us at the sky mirror. He was really great at giving instructions for getting the best effects! (Photos attached) The room was superb - lots of great features like a heated air function in the shower that was helpful for drying off wet clothes after we got caught in a downpour. The room is a rustic style and there’s a few places that could do with a lick of paint and tidying up, but this added more to the rustic charm! The view really was incredible. The location of the lodge might first seem far from the action of the park, but trust me, this is a blessing in disguise! The park gets incredibly busy, especially around Yuanjiajie. The busyness really can ruin the natural beauty. Being close to the Westgate allows you to access the park from the most uncommon direction which is actually marvellous as it means you are less likely to get caught up in crowds and queues as you are travelling around the park in the opposite direction of the vast majority of the tourists. This really makes a difference and maximising the time that you have in the park. Because of the mixed weather, we ended up travelling most of the top sights in the park again on the single good weather day and this worked really well because of our direction of travel. The Westgate is much quieter and the surrounding area is much more peaceful than the busy area around the east gates. This allows you to really enjoy the peace and beauty of nature when you aren’t exploring the park. I would highly recommend staying here when you visit Zhangjiajie, and I’d like to thank all of the staff for such a magical and amazing time.

I highly recommend this hotel! The room was exceptionally clean, with every detail taken care of, and the decor was simple yet comfortable. The staff were attentive and helpful, patiently answering any questions we had. The bed was very comfortable, and the soundproofing was far superior to other hotels in the same price range. Plus, the location is incredibly convenient for dining, entertainment, and attractions. Overall, it offers excellent value for money. This will be my first choice for future trips, and I've already recommended it to my friends.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic! The front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. Breakfast was abundant and delicious. I especially want to commend Ms. Qu Xianlin, a server in the restaurant, for her exceptionally thoughtful and enthusiastic service. She personally brought us coffee and fruit, which I found very touching. Thank you, staff of Sunshine Hotel! The bedding was comfortable, and the room was spacious and very clean. Traveling to Zhangjiajie with my family, choosing this suite hotel was such a smart decision! I absolutely loved the room facilities; the living room and bedroom were separated, offering ample space for the kids to play freely. The biggest surprise was the super-sized garden-view bathtub, where I could soak while enjoying the mountain scenery. The hotel is surrounded by mountains, providing a quiet and tranquil environment. After a hike, relaxing by the outdoor pool was incredibly comfortable. Parking was also very convenient since we drove ourselves. I have to commend their butler service; they proactively contacted us before check-in to offer travel tips and thoughtfully prepared fruit and extra dishes for breakfast. The attention to detail was impeccable. Visiting during the off-season meant fewer crowds and more tranquility, making it excellent value for money. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit!

The biggest advantage of choosing this hotel when visiting Tianmen Mountain is its proximity to the cable car and shuttle bus; it's just across the road. Whether you're taking route A, B, or C, it's the best choice. The hotel facilities are excellent, and the breakfast is abundant and delicious. If you're on a tight schedule, they even pack food for guests to take on the go. There are many international guests, making it feel like you're abroad. They also have a laundry room and a gym. The hotel is surrounded by local specialty restaurants, and there are non-spicy options suitable for out-of-town visitors, which are affordable and tasty. Next time I come to Tianmen Mountain, I will definitely choose Hilton again.

This was genuinely my favourite hotel during my travels in China. From the warm welcome of the lovely staff “Jiajia” who helped me check in, go over the itinerary and map of the Zhangjiajie National Park area. To helping carrying my bags up to my room. It was a very personal and warm stay. When checking out it was exactly the same, plus she gifted me a little farewell gift to leave with a souvenir 🙏🏻 thank you for this memorable and wonderful stay. In terms of location. It is perfect. It’s about a 10min walk to the South Gate entrance and from there eveything goes very smooth. Beautiful night views along the riverside in the night time.

This is THE place to stay! Look no further! It's beautiful, peaceful, friendly, and super convenient (10-minute walk) from the Middle Gate (Zimugang) of the park, which is MUCH less crowded than the East Gate. We had a luxury corner room with a terrace and a spectacular view, and a 2-person sunken jacuzzi tub (with jets!) which was heavenly after hiking all day. Breakfast was delicious, varied, and plentiful, and dinner was equally tasty. Unfortunately it was too cold to use the infinity pool with a view, but it looks gorgeous. A big shout-out to KEVIN, the receptionist/concierge who speaks excellent English. He helped up in every conceivable way - from ordering multi-day tickets with unlimited rides, to giving us drop-offs and pick-ups to and from the park entrance, to planning three perfect Zhangjiajie Scenic Area days! A thousand thanks, Kevin!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Outstanding Stay – The Best Hospitality We Experienced in China This homestay was one of the highlights of our entire trip. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond anything we could have expected. We arrived feeling quite stressed about planning our visit to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. There is so much information online and it can feel overwhelming trying to work out routes, tickets and timings. The staff literally sat down with us and planned everything step by step. They helped us buy tickets at a better price than we had found ourselves, explained the best routes to take, and made sure we got the most out of our time in the park. What impressed us most was that they didn't just help with the main attractions. We only had a couple of hours free when we first arrived, and they suggested a walk in the park that wasn't even on our itinerary. It turned out to be absolutely magical and became one of our favourite memories from Zhangjiajie. The room itself was beautiful, peaceful and incredibly comfortable. After long days exploring, it was the perfect place to relax and recharge. The surroundings were quiet and scenic, making it feel like a true escape from the crowds. The free shuttle service was extremely convenient and made getting around so much easier, and the complimentary breakfast each morning was delicious and a great way to start the day. Most importantly, the kindness and genuine care shown by the staff made this place special. They treated us like friends rather than guests and were always happy to help with anything we needed. If you're visiting Zhangjiajie, I cannot recommend this homestay highly enough. Amazing rooms, fantastic location, free breakfast and transport, and some of the friendliest, most helpful staff we've ever met.

Choosing the Fulinte & Hotel for our trip to Zhangjiajie was the best decision. First, the location is incredibly convenient. The cable car entrance to the top of the mountain is directly across the street from the hotel, and the Tianmen Mountain ticket office is just a short walk across the road from the hotel entrance. Second, the hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly, and the breakfast spread was quite generous. Third, the hotel is surrounded by various Tujia specialty food streets. When you come to Zhangjiajie, you absolutely must try dishes like Sanxiaguo and Maojia cuisine. Along the streets, there's a wide variety of fresh fruit available at reasonable prices, plus an underground supermarket. Fourth, the hotel offers excellent value for money. We stayed for two days, then extended our stay for another day, which allowed us to visit the Zhangjiajie Museum and learn about the region's unique geography, making our trip truly enriching.

Despite a few downsides, overall it is a decent hotel. A special thanks to the man at the reception – he was friendly and helped with all my questions. The hotel's main advantage is its location: you can walk to the park and the lake, and there are coffee shops nearby. The hotel’s breakfast is good, too. The main drawback, in my opinion, is that the pool doesn't open until 3 PM. I don't understand the point of having a pool if it's only open in the evening. Staff mentioned that this is because Chinese guests don't swim in the morning, but surely that shouldn't prevent opening it during the morning and afternoon for foreign guests. All in all, I would recommend this hotel if you are staying for a couple of days.

Really recommend this hotel! From the airport or Zhangjiajie West Railway station is only around 15 minutes by taxi. This made getting around very easy. Against most recommendations, we opted to only have one hotel for our entire time in Zhangjiajie. The central location made visiting attractions like Tianmen Mountain, 72 Wonder Tower and Furong Ancient town (short train ride away) very easy. The longest journey was to Zhangjiajie National Park, but was still only 45 minutes journey to the East Gate. The hotel itself was very clean, the room was a great size and the bed was huge! The staff were very attentive, all spoke English, and were very happy to offer help with anything we required. They even sent a message every morning to ensure we rested well, our stay was pleasant, and if we had had breakfast in the restaurant that day. One big highlight of the room itself was the inbuilt ceiling speakers which not only had preprogrammed music but could easily connect to your phone via Bluetooth. We will be recommending this hotel to anyone we know visiting the area!

This hotel is right by the East Gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. For this location and price, it's absolutely fantastic value for money. The location is superb: walk straight out of the lobby for about 60 meters, turn right, and you'll see the Wulingyuan entrance gate. Cross the road and there's a small river where you can relax or skip stones. If you walk straight out of the lobby for 30 meters, turn left through the side entrance, and then turn left again, you'll find a street packed with popular restaurants, fruit stalls, and BBQ stands. From the East Gate exit of the forest park, you can take a small path directly to the hotel's side entrance escalator, which leads right to the lobby. While the breakfast selection isn't huge, everything is delicious, and the freshly ground coffee and fruit juices are excellent. The hotel lobby also offers coffee and lemonade. The front desk staff are very helpful and efficient with check-ins, luggage storage, and operating the elevators.

The restaurant has good food as wel From arranging our pickup from the airport, to helping us plan our itinerary for our stay here (shoutout especially to Robert, who along with the others at the hotel) made everything effortless The main attractions (Grand canyon, Tianmen Mountain and the National park) are all huge and Robert spent a lot of time walking us through each one of them in detail and making all the required bookings well in advance. We never faced any issues at all If we're ever here in Zhangjiajie again, we'll be sure to stay here. We had a great time here and Robert and team were instrumental in making that happen.

If you want a quiet place with exceptional service, this is the place to stay. We spent 5 nights here. They provide personalised trip planning, discount ticket booking for all attractions in the Zhangjiajie area, and a free shuttle to the South gate entrance. The shuttle is free back and forth (up to 3km one way) for any reason - dinners near the gate, for example. The breakfast is served to you and was delicious, they also accommodated my vegetarian requests. This is a small hotel - but with a homestay or B&B vibe. A lot of care and detail has been put into the design of the entire facility. There is an elevator. There is a natural spring with a dipper in the lower level - excellent drinking water! We refilled our water bottles there several times. Our room had the forest view with a terrace. It was great to have the extra space to relax in. This comes up as a Didi location, so it was easy to schedule our rides to and from the airport and train station. We took a Didi back from the east gate one day - so crazy there and noisy in that area! If you like huge hotels and a party atmosphere, stay there. Otherwise, choose the Qiquan.

The room was fine for what it was and the price. The location was a quick walk to the cableway, so great if you wanted to get there in the morning. I don’t think there was much else in the area. It wasn’t close to the train and I ended up missing one. If you’re a smoker, this place will be fine, but I’m not and I asked for a non-smoking room and the room smelt so badly. I tried using the air conditioner but that just churned out more Smokey air. Nothing I did helped. I ended up making a blanket fort and slept under it for both nights and barely stayed in the room. It was like being in a gas chamber. I would not recommend this to anyone who isn’t a smoker themselves. Staff was nice enough.

This guesthouse, Doubao, is highly recommended – truly excellent! It's conveniently located near the scenic area, and they even arranged for a driver to take us directly to the entrance, saving us precious sleep time in the mornings. Zhangjiajie's weather is notoriously unpredictable; we were lucky that the first two days of our three-day trip, which were forecasted for rain, actually turned out sunny. Unlike staying in a typical hotel, the guesthouse's lovely concierge妹妹 (little sister) meticulously planned our daily itineraries based on the real-time weather and our schedule. Following her suggestions, we couldn't go wrong – a true godsend for people like us who prefer not to plan. On the second night, I had an unexpected work emergency and needed to return home, and they promptly arranged a driver to take me to the airport. They even gave us a souvenir fridge magnet! The view from the guesthouse is also fantastic. After a long journey, relaxing on the balcony with some afternoon tea while gazing at the Zhangjiajie scenic area was a real treat. Just a heads-up, though: there are quite a few mosquitoes, so bring plenty of repellent. This is my first time writing such a long review, and I truly hope they continue to thrive and that more guesthouses offer this level of exceptional service.

This is a newly built hotel with excellent facilities. Parking is convenient, and the front desk staff are warm and friendly. We accidentally navigated to the cable car station instead of the hotel initially. Upon returning, the staff were even more welcoming and went out of their way to assist us. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and we had a view of the Lishui River, the mother river of Zhangjiajie, from our window. It was a very pleasant experience.

The hotel is large and has a great ambiance, which is why we came. Everything started off well. 1. I woke up at 5:30 AM to get to Wulingyuan by 6:30 AM. Breakfast wasn't ready until 6:30 AM. It seems no matter how many guests complain, they won't open any earlier. 2. Check-out is at 2 PM. We came back from Wulingyuan at 1 PM, and arrived at the hotel at 1:25 PM, tired and desperate for a rest. But then, our key card wouldn't open the door! We had to go back and forth with the front desk to sort it out. Oh well, it was already check-out time. My child had fallen asleep on me by then. These are all hotel rules, and after all, guests are just ordinary people, not celebrities, so good service doesn't seem to matter much.

Western tourist review: no problems with check in or anything. The hotel generally looks a bit like it has seen better times, but at the same time this seems to be fairly reflected in the price so we can absolutely recommend it. The location is fantastic, being super central yet not in the busiest sections of the city. Maybe worth noting that if you're a very early sleeper there is a pharmacy/alternative medicine place playing a repeated message on repeat till 9 or so... Not particularly bad, but a bit irritating. Also worth highlighting is that there is a washing machine on the top floor, seems to be decently common in China from what we can tell, but particularly useful when you're hiking a bunch.

They've started a gradual renovation, and the room I was assigned had already been updated. The hotel offers a peaceful escape despite being centrally located, and it's only a kilometer from the main entrance, with the added convenience of a shuttle service. The tall and imposing lobby manager was both friendly and thoughtful. The views are expansive, with mountains in the distance. Breakfast was plentiful, and there were far more foreigners than Chinese guests, which speaks volumes about its excellent reputation with international travel agencies. They even had Indian curry dishes specifically for Indian tour groups.

I stayed in a wooden cabin villa with a huge balcony. The driver was very punctual for station pick-ups and drop-offs, and the front desk service was excellent. Even though it's been rainy these past few days in Zhangjiajie, the dehumidification in the room was great at keeping things dry! Thanks for the complimentary upgrade to the executive room. The front desk staff were really welcoming and efficient with check-in and check-out, so there was no long wait. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft, and even the nooks and crannies were well-maintained. The soundproofing was excellent; I barely heard any noise from the hallway or outside, which made for a peaceful sleep. The location is superb, making it very convenient for getting a taxi, exploring shopping areas, and dining. The bathroom had good water pressure, and hot water came out quickly, making for a comfortable shower experience. The room amenities were complete; the air conditioning and WiFi worked perfectly without any issues. The cleaning staff were polite and proactively asked if I needed more toiletries. The hotel environment was quiet, public areas were clean, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant. It offers great value for money; the facilities and service exceeded my expectations for the price. Overall, my stay was excellent, and I'll definitely prioritize this hotel for my next trip.

Staying at Forest homestay was the best decision we could have made during our trip to China. The service was truly 5 star. The staff at the lodge are so kind, helpful and efficient. We got personalised itineraries each day that changed a lot based on the weather, which was quite mixed! I was very impressed by their efficiency and flexibility. Each day we were driven to and from the park gate (for free). Pickup was within a couple of mins of us messaging that we were ready to leave. All of the staff were wonderful, but Guo Pu was a standout from our trip. Not only did he cart us around and respond to any questions via WeChat within minutes, but he made sure we got the most out of our time there - he pulled fruit from fruit trees at the lodge for us to eat, showed us the various animals they keep onsite, and took photos of us at the sky mirror. He was really great at giving instructions for getting the best effects! (Photos attached) The room was superb - lots of great features like a heated air function in the shower that was helpful for drying off wet clothes after we got caught in a downpour. The room is a rustic style and there’s a few places that could do with a lick of paint and tidying up, but this added more to the rustic charm! The view really was incredible. The location of the lodge might first seem far from the action of the park, but trust me, this is a blessing in disguise! The park gets incredibly busy, especially around Yuanjiajie. The busyness really can ruin the natural beauty. Being close to the Westgate allows you to access the park from the most uncommon direction which is actually marvellous as it means you are less likely to get caught up in crowds and queues as you are travelling around the park in the opposite direction of the vast majority of the tourists. This really makes a difference and maximising the time that you have in the park. Because of the mixed weather, we ended up travelling most of the top sights in the park again on the single good weather day and this worked really well because of our direction of travel. The Westgate is much quieter and the surrounding area is much more peaceful than the busy area around the east gates. This allows you to really enjoy the peace and beauty of nature when you aren’t exploring the park. I would highly recommend staying here when you visit Zhangjiajie, and I’d like to thank all of the staff for such a magical and amazing time.

If you're on a tight schedule, they even pack food for guests to take on the go. There are many international guests, making it feel like you're abroad. They also have a laundry room and a gym. The hotel is surrounded by local specialty restaurants, and there are non-spicy options suitable for out-of-town visitors, which are affordable and tasty. Next time I come to Tianmen Mountain, I will definitely choose Hilton again.

This was genuinely my favourite hotel during my travels in China. From the warm welcome of the lovely staff “Jiajia” who helped me check in, go over the itinerary and map of the Zhangjiajie National Park area. To helping carrying my bags up to my room. It was a very personal and warm stay. When checking out it was exactly the same, plus she gifted me a little farewell gift to leave with a souvenir 🙏🏻 thank you for this memorable and wonderful stay. In terms of location. It is perfect. It’s about a 10min walk to the South Gate entrance and from there eveything goes very smooth. Beautiful night views along the riverside in the night time.

This is THE place to stay! Look no further! It's beautiful, peaceful, friendly, and super convenient (10-minute walk) from the Middle Gate (Zimugang) of the park, which is MUCH less crowded than the East Gate. We had a luxury corner room with a terrace and a spectacular view, and a 2-person sunken jacuzzi tub (with jets!) which was heavenly after hiking all day. Breakfast was delicious, varied, and plentiful, and dinner was equally tasty. Unfortunately it was too cold to use the infinity pool with a view, but it looks gorgeous. A big shout-out to KEVIN, the receptionist/concierge who speaks excellent English. He helped up in every conceivable way - from ordering multi-day tickets with unlimited rides, to giving us drop-offs and pick-ups to and from the park entrance, to planning three perfect Zhangjiajie Scenic Area days! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Outstanding Stay – The Best Hospitality We Experienced in China This homestay was one of the highlights of our entire trip. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond anything we could have expected. We arrived feeling quite stressed about planning our visit to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. There is so much information online and it can feel overwhelming trying to work out routes, tickets and timings. The staff literally sat down with us and planned everything step by step. They helped us buy tickets at a better price than we had found ourselves, explained the best routes to take, and made sure we got the most out of our time in the park. What impressed us most was that they didn't just help with the main attractions. We only had a couple of hours free when we first arrived, and they suggested a walk in the park that wasn't even on our itinerary. It turned out to be absolutely magical and became one of our favourite memories from Zhangjiajie. The room itself was beautiful, peaceful and incredibly comfortable. After long days exploring, it was the perfect place to relax and recharge. The surroundings were quiet and scenic, making it feel like a true escape from the crowds. The free shuttle service was extremely convenient and made getting around so much easier, and the complimentary breakfast each morning was delicious and a great way to start the day. Most importantly, the kindness and genuine care shown by the staff made this place special. They treated us like friends rather than guests and were always happy to help with anything we needed. If you're visiting Zhangjiajie, I cannot recommend this homestay highly enough. Amazing rooms, fantastic location, free breakfast and transport, and some of the friendliest, most helpful staff we've ever met.

Choosing the Fulinte & Hotel for our trip to Zhangjiajie was the best decision. First, the location is incredibly convenient. The cable car entrance to the top of the mountain is directly across the street from the hotel, and the Tianmen Mountain ticket office is just a short walk across the road from the hotel entrance. Second, the hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly, and the breakfast spread was quite generous. Third, the hotel is surrounded by various Tujia specialty food streets. When you come to Zhangjiajie, you absolutely must try dishes like Sanxiaguo and Maojia cuisine. Along the streets, there's a wide variety of fresh fruit available at reasonable prices, plus an underground supermarket. Fourth, the hotel offers excellent value for money. We stayed for two days, then extended our stay for another day, which allowed us to visit the Zhangjiajie Museum and learn about the region's unique geography, making our trip truly enriching.

Despite a few downsides, overall it is a decent hotel. A special thanks to the man at the reception – he was friendly and helped with all my questions. The hotel's main advantage is its location: you can walk to the park and the lake, and there are coffee shops nearby. The hotel’s breakfast is good, too. The main drawback, in my opinion, is that the pool doesn't open until 3 PM. I don't understand the point of having a pool if it's only open in the evening. Staff mentioned that this is because Chinese guests don't swim in the morning, but surely that shouldn't prevent opening it during the morning and afternoon for foreign guests. All in all, I would recommend this hotel if you are staying for a couple of days.

Really recommend this hotel! From the airport or Zhangjiajie West Railway station is only around 15 minutes by taxi. This made getting around very easy. Against most recommendations, we opted to only have one hotel for our entire time in Zhangjiajie. The central location made visiting attractions like Tianmen Mountain, 72 Wonder Tower and Furong Ancient town (short train ride away) very easy. The longest journey was to Zhangjiajie National Park, but was still only 45 minutes journey to the East Gate. The hotel itself was very clean, the room was a great size and the bed was huge! The staff were very attentive, all spoke English, and were very happy to offer help with anything we required. They even sent a message every morning to ensure we rested well, our stay was pleasant, and if we had had breakfast in the restaurant that day. One big highlight of the room itself was the inbuilt ceiling speakers which not only had preprogrammed music but could easily connect to your phone via Bluetooth. We will be recommending this hotel to anyone we know visiting the area!

This hotel is right by the East Gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. For this location and price, it's absolutely fantastic value for money. The location is superb: walk straight out of the lobby for about 60 meters, turn right, and you'll see the Wulingyuan entrance gate. Cross the road and there's a small river where you can relax or skip stones. If you walk straight out of the lobby for 30 meters, turn left through the side entrance, and then turn left again, you'll find a street packed with popular restaurants, fruit stalls, and BBQ stands. From the East Gate exit of the forest park, you can take a small path directly to the hotel's side entrance escalator, which leads right to the lobby. While the breakfast selection isn't huge, everything is delicious, and the freshly ground coffee and fruit juices are excellent. The hotel lobby also offers coffee and lemonade. The front desk staff are very helpful and efficient with check-ins, luggage storage, and operating the elevators.

Super nice stay with super nice people. Everyone at the hotel was extremely helpful and courteous, right from the first interaction. The hotel is barely a kilometre away from the national park, right amidst the mountains. The rooms are great and everything is well maintained and super clean. The restaurant has good food as wel From arranging our pickup from the airport, to helping us plan our itinerary for our stay here (shoutout especially to Robert, who along with the others at the hotel) made everything effortless The main attractions (Grand canyon, Tianmen Mountain and the National park) are all huge and Robert spent a lot of time walking us through each one of them in detail and making all the required bookings well in advance. We never faced any issues at all If we're ever here in Zhangjiajie again, we'll be sure to stay here. We had a great time here and Robert and team were instrumental in making that happen.

If you want a quiet place with exceptional service, this is the place to stay. We spent 5 nights here. They provide personalised trip planning, discount ticket booking for all attractions in the Zhangjiajie area, and a free shuttle to the South gate entrance. The shuttle is free back and forth (up to 3km one way) for any reason - dinners near the gate, for example. The breakfast is served to you and was delicious, they also accommodated my vegetarian requests. This is a small hotel - but with a homestay or B&B vibe. A lot of care and detail has been put into the design of the entire facility. There is an elevator. There is a natural spring with a dipper in the lower level - excellent drinking water! We refilled our water bottles there several times. Our room had the forest view with a terrace. It was great to have the extra space to relax in. This comes up as a Didi location, so it was easy to schedule our rides to and from the airport and train station. We took a Didi back from the east gate one day - so crazy there and noisy in that area! If you like huge hotels and a party atmosphere, stay there. Otherwise, choose the Qiquan.

The room was fine for what it was and the price. The location was a quick walk to the cableway, so great if you wanted to get there in the morning. I don’t think there was much else in the area. It wasn’t close to the train and I ended up missing one. If you’re a smoker, this place will be fine, but I’m not and I asked for a non-smoking room and the room smelt so badly. I tried using the air conditioner but that just churned out more Smokey air. Nothing I did helped. I ended up making a blanket fort and slept under it for both nights and barely stayed in the room. It was like being in a gas chamber. I would not recommend this to anyone who isn’t a smoker themselves. Staff was nice enough.

This guesthouse, Doubao, is highly recommended – truly excellent! It's conveniently located near the scenic area, and they even arranged for a driver to take us directly to the entrance, saving us precious sleep time in the mornings. Zhangjiajie's weather is notoriously unpredictable; we were lucky that the first two days of our three-day trip, which were forecasted for rain, actually turned out sunny. Unlike staying in a typical hotel, the guesthouse's lovely concierge妹妹 (little sister) meticulously planned our daily itineraries based on the real-time weather and our schedule. Following her suggestions, we couldn't go wrong – a true godsend for people like us who prefer not to plan. On the second night, I had an unexpected work emergency and needed to return home, and they promptly arranged a driver to take me to the airport. They even gave us a souvenir fridge magnet! The view from the guesthouse is also fantastic. After a long journey, relaxing on the balcony with some afternoon tea while gazing at the Zhangjiajie scenic area was a real treat. Just a heads-up, though: there are quite a few mosquitoes, so bring plenty of repellent. This is my first time writing such a long review, and I truly hope they continue to thrive and that more guesthouses offer this level of exceptional service.

This is a newly built hotel with excellent facilities. Parking is convenient, and the front desk staff are warm and friendly. We accidentally navigated to the cable car station instead of the hotel initially. Upon returning, the staff were even more welcoming and went out of their way to assist us. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and we had a view of the Lishui River, the mother river of Zhangjiajie, from our window. It was a very pleasant experience.

The hotel is large and has a great ambiance, which is why we came. Everything started off well. 1. I woke up at 5:30 AM to get to Wulingyuan by 6:30 AM. Breakfast wasn't ready until 6:30 AM. It seems no matter how many guests complain, they won't open any earlier. 2. Check-out is at 2 PM. We came back from Wulingyuan at 1 PM, and arrived at the hotel at 1:25 PM, tired and desperate for a rest. But then, our key card wouldn't open the door! We had to go back and forth with the front desk to sort it out. Oh well, it was already check-out time. My child had fallen asleep on me by then. These are all hotel rules, and after all, guests are just ordinary people, not celebrities, so good service doesn't seem to matter much.

Western tourist review: no problems with check in or anything. The hotel generally looks a bit like it has seen better times, but at the same time this seems to be fairly reflected in the price so we can absolutely recommend it. The location is fantastic, being super central yet not in the busiest sections of the city. Maybe worth noting that if you're a very early sleeper there is a pharmacy/alternative medicine place playing a repeated message on repeat till 9 or so... Not particularly bad, but a bit irritating. Also worth highlighting is that there is a washing machine on the top floor, seems to be decently common in China from what we can tell, but particularly useful when you're hiking a bunch.

Don't let the fact that this long-standing Jinjiang Group luxury five-star hotel has been open for a while deter you. They've started a gradual renovation, and the room I was assigned had already been updated. The hotel offers a peaceful escape despite being centrally located, and it's only a kilometer from the main entrance, with the added convenience of a shuttle service. The tall and imposing lobby manager was both friendly and thoughtful. The views are expansive, with mountains in the distance. Breakfast was plentiful, and there were far more foreigners than Chinese guests, which speaks volumes about its excellent reputation with international travel agencies. They even had Indian curry dishes specifically for Indian tour groups.
