Overall a pleasant experience. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well-maintained. One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is its location — it's just a short walk from Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street, making it very convenient for shopping and dining. One thing that caught me by surprise was the surrounding neighborhood. The hotel is located within a very local part of Guangzhou, and the drive in takes you through residential streets lined with small shops and local businesses. I even passed a street where locals were collecting and selling cardboard boxes and recyclables. It was quite different from what I had expected for an international hotel, but it also offered a glimpse into everyday local life. During my stay, there was ongoing construction work in the area. As the access roads are relatively narrow, traffic could build up at times and it sometimes took a while for taxis and ride-hailing vehicles to reach the hotel. This may be something to keep in mind if you are arriving with a lot of luggage or are travelling on a tight schedule. Service was a positive highlight. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I particularly appreciated the assistance with my luggage upon arrival and departure. One aspect that left me puzzled was the laundry facility. The hotel provides a self-service laundry room, but the machines are chargeable. As a frequent traveller in China, this was the first time I had encountered such an arrangement. In my experience, hotels typically either offer paid laundry services handled by the hotel or complimentary self-service laundry facilities for guests. This hotel seems to operate somewhere in between. What made the experience more confusing was that the charges were not clearly communicated beforehand. I only realised the machines required payment after starting to use them. Clearer signage or advance notice would help guests better understand the arrangement. Overall, voco Guangzhou offers spacious rooms, a convenient location near Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street and attentive service. The local surroundings, ongoing construction and paid self-service laundry were unexpected, but they are useful things for future guests to be aware of when planning their stay.

Room has got a washing machine for a small load, can only load in 3-4 pieces of clothes. There is kitchenette but no pots, pans, fork, spoon, chopsticks. Comes with clothes steamer which is really convenient to iron clothes and Dyson hair dryer is amazing. Room is spacious but a lot of wasted space on carpentry that short term travelers will not utilized which results in the room being smaller than it is suppose to be. However, the security lock latch they are using are old school type, and mine was loose and Becos I checked in late, i had to call the front desk at 11pm to send a technician to fix it. Honestly, even after it being fixed, I don’t feel safe as a single female traveller. Even thou it is Hilton, supposedly an international branded hotel, the in room security isn’t as great as the newer 4 star hotels where it is intertwine within the door with a chain lock. Also, hotel pillow is really flat, unable to have a good night sleep. Hotel breakfast spread was amazing, food robot delivery , parcel collection is extremely convenient and efficient.

What a fantastic stay! The hotel's location is superb, and the river view from my room was unbeatable. Whether I was relaxing in the living room or enjoying the view of the flickering lights on the river from the bathtub at night, it was incredibly pleasant. Right outside the hotel is Shamian Island's historic architectural complex, offering a perfect blend of history and modernity. Even more surprising, the hotel found out it was my birthday and specially sent me a card and a gift – I was truly delighted! A huge thank you to the staff at White Swan Hotel for their warm, meticulous, and thoughtful service, which made my stay feel like a breath of fresh air! It was truly refreshing and uplifting!

I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. The front desk staff was incredibly kind, and I want to give a special thanks to Dan. She was amazing and even upgraded my room! Thanks to her, I spent two very comfortable nights in a spacious and beautiful room. The interior of the hotel features a traditional Chinese aesthetic that is both luxurious and impeccably clean. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and professional. I also thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast buffet—there were so many varieties to choose from! For business travelers, the round-trip shuttle to the Canton Fair is a huge plus. The location is also fantastic: there is a large shopping mall and many great restaurants right in front of the hotel. Most of Guangzhou's famous landmarks are within a 10–20 minute taxi ride, and it takes about 40 minutes to reach the airport. I had a very relaxing stay and will definitely choose this hotel again for my next visit to Guangzhou. Thank you again, Dan!

Got a free upgrade to a suite, which was a nice surprise. This hotel was one of Guangzhou's first five-star establishments, and the 'China' in its name really means something. The rooms have been renovated, and although the building isn't super tall, the overall experience is good. The only downside is that it can get quite crowded with various types of people.

Beautiful location near Hai Zhu metro with shops and eateries nearby. Was upgraded to room overlooking the river. Staff were friendly and very helpful with our Taobao deliveries with proper tracking and signing off when collecting. The rooms and hotel were beautifully decorated in traditional Chinese style. Sound proofing in the room was good and had a peaceful night sleep on comfortable beds. The shower only had a handspray, there was no rainshower probably because the ceiling height in the shower was not very high. The laundry room was clean, spacious with new 4x washer and 4x dryer, but the gym was small and very old and most of the equipment not useable apart from the dumbbells.

This stay far exceeded my expectations – I'm incredibly satisfied! The room was decorated with a charming, childlike theme, like a mini-playground, and the warm lighting made it extra cozy. The cleanliness was excellent, with every area neatly organized. The in-room amenities were incredibly comprehensive; it had everything from a washing machine, dryer, fridge, and microwave to a direct drinking water dispenser, making life very convenient. The bathtub, toilet seat, and child-friendly booster seat specifically for kids were all very practical, and there was an ample supply of disposable toiletries. Any issues we had were quickly resolved by customer service. The location is also a huge plus, as it's not far from any of the attractions. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and definitely worth a visit!

We had a great experience staying here. The amenities were surprisingly complete, the pillows and the blanket was so comfy and fluffy. Look at the welcome drink, they even have machine coffee for us to drink for free (also they offered the guests free afternoon tea in complimentary with our stay). The staffs were very welcoming and informative even before we stay (we asked them about Taobao and Pinduoduo deliveries). Overall, perfect!

This is a new hotel, and there's a strong, unpleasant smell everywhere – in the hallways and rooms. They even had empty rooms with open doors, presumably to air them out. I wouldn't recommend it if you're traveling with kids. The hardware facilities are pretty good, but the service is terrible. When we checked in, we found the window wouldn't close, and there was no screen either. The front desk refused to change our room and sent a cleaning lady to fix it. She told us all the windows were like that, which was a blatant lie. When I pointed out that a window on the other side *did* close, she fell silent and stopped claiming 'they're all like that.' She still wouldn't change our room, suggesting she could tie the window shut with a rope instead. She even said she didn't think it was a big deal and we could just stay there. It was 36 degrees Celsius, the window wouldn't close, and there were huge mosquitoes. We insisted on changing rooms – I think that's a pretty basic request, don't you? After a standoff that lasted over ten minutes, the cleaning lady wouldn't even let us sit on the bed, saying, 'If you change rooms, I'll have to clean this one again.' Overall, there's absolutely no service consciousness, they're dishonest, and they don't solve problems – the service is a complete sham. If the front desk had known the window was broken and proactively offered a room change, we wouldn't have stood in that room waiting for so long. And if the cleaning lady hadn't lied to us, claiming all the windows were like that, and simply said there were no rooms available at such a late hour, I might have actually thought this hotel was decent.

I genuinely think this hotel is great. The cleanliness is meticulously maintained, which is really pleasant to see. Plus, it just opened in January, so all the room facilities are new and complete, with no signs of age or damage. The staff are all kind and friendly, making the entire check-in and stay experience very enjoyable. There are lots of restaurants downstairs, and it's super close to Beijing Road. Definitely worth recommending to everyone.

The hotel is very well-maintained, the rooms are spotless, and the service is excellent. Our child got sick and dirtied the bed linen, and housekeeping was incredibly quick to replace it with fresh ones. They were so kind and even asked about our child's well-being. The hotel's location is extremely convenient; finding places to eat or a clinic for a sudden medical need was no problem at all. Strolling along the Pearl River outside the hotel in the evening was incredibly pleasant.

My friends stayed in this room during our 5-day, 4-night trip to Guangzhou, and it unfortunately ruined their experience. They were badly bitten by bed bugs in the room. The physical issue was bad enough, but the service response was completely unacceptable. As soon as they discovered the bites, they immediately informed the receptionist and explicitly requested that the room be thoroughly cleaned and treated. However, when they returned to the hotel in the evening, absolutely nothing had been done. No action was taken, and the staff completely ignored a serious health and hygiene complaint. Finding bed bugs is a major issue, but a hotel staff that refuses to lift a finger when a guest reports it is an absolute dealbreaker. We are incredibly disappointed by the lack of care and professionalism here. Management urgently needs to address their pest control standards and front desk training. I strongly advise travelers to inspect their sheets carefully or look elsewhere entirely

I am quite happy with my stay here. We love the smart room function, at night before sleep speak with Xiao Du. Toothbrush, slippers, rubber slippers for toilet use, comb, tea bags provided. Overall I still consider it clean maybe it's still new. Sound proof can be improved but to be honest actually at night everyone is tired of walking the whole day, so we can't hear anything after asleep. I am a light sleeper. Breakfast was included but someday I went out to eat because of almost the same varieties. Actually it's not as happening as in YouTube or Red Notes shared on Xihua Road because the town council officers disallowed tables outside of the compound. The hotel nearby restaurants closed by 10pm because it's an old street and many old folks. So, for supper walk further but within walking distance. It's also not far from Chen Clan Ancestral Hall. Overall if the cleanliness is still in good condition and the furniture is not aging, I will book this hotel again. Need improvements: 1. They're some strains on some parts in the toilet floor and bottom of the glass door. 2. Stain on wall paper at the wall and besides the garbage bin. 🗑️ 3. Can hear the door closing sounds, the toilet flush and people next door are chatting. Quite clearly listening to their chat . 4. Staff need to always greet every customer walk in and please don't force to write reviews in front of them before check-out. In my opinion a review must be an honest opinion for getting better and improvement. Yizhi Hotel management should appreciate customers who willingly and politely express opinions rather than silently walk away.

My stay at Guangzhou Hotel was absolutely perfect! The location is unbeatable, right next to the subway station, and within walking distance to Beijing Road and Haizhu Square, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing and dining. The hotel itself has an elegant and grand ambiance. The rooms are spacious and bright, and the cleanliness is impeccable. The bedding is soft and comfortable, the bathroom has a great wet/dry separation, and all the amenities are complete and functional. My high-floor room offered a wide, open view of the city and river, which was stunning, especially at night. The front desk staff were warm, polite, and handled check-in efficiently and quickly. Their service was attentive and thoughtful, truly showing their professionalism in every detail. The breakfast spread was extensive, including authentic Cantonese dim sum, and everything tasted delicious. Overall, it offers incredible value for money. I highly recommend it for both leisure and business travelers. I'll definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Guangzhou! 📌 My only suggestion: could the hotel please add full-length and vanity mirrors to the rooms?

Super comfortable! The location is beautiful, just a 2-minute walk to the pedestrian street! 🥹 And only 5 minutes to Tao Tao Ju. The best part is, it's super clean! The front desk staff were incredibly nice! They even helped collect parcels for us 🥹🥹. The hotel's cleanliness is excellent, and the toilet was spotless. Water is supplied endlessly. There's even a washing machine and dryer. The only minor drawback is that the elevator is shared with the shopping mall, so you might have to wait a bit if it's busy. I'll definitely be back to stay again! It's so comfortable and convenient!

The location is very close to the TuanZi harbor. The closest Metro is Beijing Road station which is about 500m away from hotel. The front desk quite helpful. The hotel building is shared with other commercial offices or dental clinic. Smoking smell at the hallway when we checked in which is totally unacceptable. One of the lift is still under renovation condition where it is still covered with plywood. Drilling work going on around 11am and there’s no advance notice to guests. Laundry at 19th floor and can only access with 1 out of the 3 lifts. You will need to get out to the open air area before access to the laundry room and gym. The view to the river is nice if you get the tiver view room.

广州交通其实很方便，尤其是广州地铁覆盖很广。

👉 我的建议：

  • 选 “步行5分钟内到地铁” 的酒店
  • 尽量选有换乘站的地方
💡 为什么重要？广州有些景点距离不近，如果你每天都要打车或走很远，真的会很累又花钱。

⭐ 看评价不要只看评分（要看“内容”）

很多人只看评分 4.5⭐ 就直接订，其实不够！

👉 要重点看：

  • 最近 3 个月的评论（比较真实）
  • 有没有提到：干净 / 隔音 / 服务
  • 看有没有人说 “旧” “有味道” “吵”
💡 小技巧：如果很多人都提同一个问题，那大概率是真的

很多酒店在平台上的照片都拍得很新很漂亮，但现实可能完全不一样 😅

👉 常见情况：

  • 房间灯光修图很亮，其实偏暗
  • 看起来很大，其实很窄
  • 装修很新，但只修了大堂
💡 避坑方法：一定要看 “最新住客照片”，不要只看官方图。

🪟 无窗房便宜，但体验真的差很多

Plus, it's next to Oriental Plaza shopping mall, so dining and shopping are all taken care of in one spot. It's definitely a top choice for business travelers. It's an established five-star hotel with a grand and elegant lobby featuring a waterscape. Check-in was efficient, and the front desk staff were very attentive, handling luggage assistance and storage seamlessly. The room was spacious with good natural light, a soft mattress, and excellent soundproofing thanks to double-glazed windows, ensuring a quiet and peaceful night's sleep even in the bustling city. The bathroom had a separate shower and bathtub. The hotel amenities are comprehensive, including a Cantonese dim sum buffet restaurant, a gym, and an outdoor pool. The breakfast selection is extensive, and the value for money is among the best for five-star hotels in the East Station area. The only minor drawback is that the hotel is a bit older, and some parts of the decor show their age, but it doesn't affect the overall stay.

I felt like three days wasn't enough time to see everything on this business trip. Next time, I'm definitely bringing my family. It's so easy to get to Canton Tower and Chimelong via direct subway lines. I also noticed they have a Western restaurant on the 16th floor with such a romantic setting – perfect for a date night or a special occasion!

They were very friendly and helpful, and communication in English was excellent, which made everything easy and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again.

Our stay at this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way, and we are truly happy that we chose to stay here. From the very first moment we arrived, the experience already felt warm and welcoming. We especially want to give a huge thank you to Connor, who made such a strong first impression on us. At first, some of the staff greeted us in Mandarin, but once they realized we were speaking English, Connor immediately approached us with such professionalism, friendliness, and great initiative. He made us feel comfortable right away and handled everything smoothly with genuine hospitality. His attentiveness and positive attitude really stood out throughout our stay. We were also very happy to receive a high-floor room, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The room itself was spacious, clean, modern, and very comfortable. Everything was well-maintained, and you could really feel the quality and attention to detail in both the room design and housekeeping. The bed was comfortable, the atmosphere was relaxing, and overall it was a perfect place to rest after exploring the city. Another lovely surprise was the complimentary treats arranged by Connor, which we truly appreciated. Small gestures like this really make guests feel valued and cared for, and it shows how much effort the hotel puts into customer experience. The breakfast was also one of the highlights of our stay. There were many delicious options, and we especially loved the live station for cicongfan — it was honestly so good and something quite unique compared to typical hotel breakfasts. Everything tasted fresh, and the variety was excellent every morning. Because we enjoyed our stay so much, we eventually decided to extend for a few more nights instead of moving elsewhere. That alone says a lot about how satisfied we were with the hotel, the service, and the overall atmosphere. The location is another big plus. It’s very convenient, and right beside the hotel there are several great local food spots to explore. We especially loved the wonton noodles nearby — definitely one of our favorite meals during the trip. Having good local food within walking distance made the stay even better. The only small suggestion we would give is that some parts of the room could benefit from a more modern renovation and perhaps a fresher fragrance to elevate the luxury feeling even further. The room was still comfortable overall, but with a more updated design and a fresher ambiance, the experience would become even more perfect. Overall, this hotel gave us such a memorable experience thanks to the excellent service, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast, and strategic location. Special thanks again to Connor for going above and beyond to make our stay so enjoyable. We would absolutely come back again.

A truly wonderful trip!! The hotel is conveniently located right below Zhengjia Plaza, which is a fantastic and lively downtown area in Guangzhou. The subway is right outside, and you can even get your Hong Kong and Macau visa endorsements done nearby. As an established five-star hotel, it boasts comprehensive facilities, making for a very comfortable and relaxed stay. While not overly lavish, the staff training is exceptional; they are attentive without being intrusive, demonstrating excellent service awareness. The Cantonese restaurant serves delicious and authentic cuisine. This time, my window overlooked the facade of a commercial building, offering a beautiful nightly light display that was stunning to look at but didn't disturb my sleep at all.

The hotel's location is absolutely perfect. The subway station exit is right outside, and TeeMall and Parc Central are next door. Regarding the room assigned by the front desk – for me, it was a corner room. When I checked in, I specifically told the front desk I didn't want a corner room, and they insisted it wasn't. Later, I discovered it was indeed a corner room. My main dissatisfaction is with the room's cleanliness. Upon entering, I found false eyelashes on the desk and the glass mirror. This is completely unacceptable for a 5-star hotel, which should ensure everything is spotless, not even a speck of dust. I also noticed the white sheer curtain had some minor stains. Basic amenities like razors and mouthwash shouldn't require guests to actively ask housekeeping for them. The cleaning lady even told me, 'We only provide them if a guest requests them.' Seriously? This is a 5-star hotel. Regardless of whether a guest needs them or not, these daily essentials should be readily available in the bathroom. The air conditioning in the room was also quite cold. **The hotel also provides local phone numbers for international guests to place orders conveniently.** My only minor complaint is having to go downstairs to pick up food. The hotel should really consider using robots to deliver food directly to guests' rooms.

I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. The front desk staff was incredibly kind, and I want to give a special thanks to Dan. She was amazing and even upgraded my room! Thanks to her, I spent two very comfortable nights in a spacious and beautiful room. The interior of the hotel features a traditional Chinese aesthetic that is both luxurious and impeccably clean. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and professional. I also thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast buffet—there were so many varieties to choose from! For business travelers, the round-trip shuttle to the Canton Fair is a huge plus. The location is also fantastic: there is a large shopping mall and many great restaurants right in front of the hotel. Most of Guangzhou's famous landmarks are within a 10–20 minute taxi ride, and it takes about 40 minutes to reach the airport. I had a very relaxing stay and will definitely choose this hotel again for my next visit to Guangzhou. Thank you again, Dan!

During this stay, I primarily interacted with the housekeeping staff. First off, the concierge team was the most disappointing. Over my two-day stay, only two employees greeted me. One who left a good impression was a gentleman with glasses and some gray hair; he made eye contact, smiled, and offered a greeting. He was the only concierge I felt met Ritz standards. The others standing at the entrance seemed a bit unprofessional; when I asked about picking up takeout, they'd use 'you' instead of a more respectful address, and they wouldn't greet me even when we passed by each other face-to-face. Now, about the guest room. The housekeeping staff provided excellent service; items I requested were delivered promptly. Their service was much better than the front office. However, the cleanliness of the room itself was a real issue. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that both beds looked like steamed buns, oddly shaped. Neither of the two mouthwash cups was clean; one had a water stain ring around the rim and lots of white fuzz inside, which looked more like towel lint than cup cloth. You might want to ask how many cup cloths housekeeping staff are given per day and retrain them on how to clean and inspect cups. (I also wonder if you require them to use a sanitizing room to clean cups?) There were many water spots on the trash can in the toilet area; I looked around and there was no faucet nearby, so you can imagine where those came from. Then, on the bedroom TV and picture frame, one touch revealed a layer of dust. I only touched the first picture frame, leaving the other two for the executive housekeeper; when you check them, please also look at the dust on the light bulbs. The lid of the ice bucket box was unglued inside. I looked at the sliding door on the right side of the TV cabinet and realized the glue was stuck there. I wanted to help reattach it, but the double-sided tape had lost its stickiness over time. Please re-glue it yourselves. For the slippers, one was tucked over the other, and the bottom one was covered by paper, making me think there was only one initially. Who set this standard? It’s 'great'! The used coffee capsule tray had coffee stains. The coffee capsule box was peeling paint due to age. I suggest the hotel buy some paint and have the engineering department touch it up; it won't cost much, and management should approve it. If they don't, then it's not your problem anymore, right? I didn't examine the room in great detail, just a general look. I called the operator three times. The first two times were great; they answered within three rings and addressed me by my last name. The third time, it was clear they were busy; they didn't address me by my last name, and the wait time was a bit longer, likely because they had just finished another call, which is understandable. I hope the above feedback can be helpful to the hotel, as the Ritz is, after all, a brand.

The facilities were well-maintained and new, and the internet speed was fast. The value for money is outstanding. This will be my top choice for future trips; I'll definitely stay here again.

I also want to thank Karina for her incredibly detailed walkthrough of the fully equipped gym and steam room, which made me feel completely comfortable enjoying the facilities. Furthermore, my therapist, Abby, was exceptionally professional—her expert techniques provided deep healing and total relaxation during the treatment. The evening at the Bar was equally impeccable! A special shout-out to Lawrence, who went out of his way to secure a fantastic seat and handle my booking perfectly. This has to be one of the most bizarre nights I've ever had. I was woken up around 2 AM by a foreigner banging on my door, asking for cigarettes. It severely impacted my sleep. I told my friend about it the next day, and they said if it were a woman, she'd have been scared to death and called the police. Also, some of the bath towels in the room felt a bit dirty. The first one had a few yellowish-brown spots that looked like unwashed stains, while the second one was barely clean. Other than that, everything else was pretty standard for this price point – nothing to write home about, but not terrible either. Overall, I think for business trips, it's probably best to avoid places with a lot of foreigners. Many of them have questionable manners, and at the very least, smoking should be prohibited. This is the first time I've had an experience like this, and I can't say I'm satisfied.

The standalone villa was absolutely therapeutic! It was quiet and comfortable all night, completely away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The breakfast buffet was abundant and fresh, and I ate to my heart's content. Soaking in the hot springs completely relaxed me; the environment was serene, and the service was attentive. There's a shuttle bus to pick you up and drop you off at your room. I just didn't want to leave once I was there. It's perfect for a relaxing getaway, and I'll definitely come back next time!

We were forced to leave the hotel across the street late at night because our room couldn't keep out swarms of flying ants. Around 10 PM, we quickly rebooked at Bishuiwan and were still impressed after checking in. We could park our car right in front of our room. The hotel front desk noticed we were in a bad mood and that it was late, so they proactively asked if we'd like breakfast delivered to our room on the second and third days. They also immediately arranged for the in-room hot spring tub to be filled. By the time we settled into our room, it was almost 11 PM. After speaking with the front desk, they quickly sent up pre-boiled mugwort satchels for our bath. After soaking, we enjoyed a drink. The hotel not only provided an ice bucket and glasses but also thoughtfully prepared two pitchers of fragrant lemon water to help us sober up. All the staff showed a strong service ethic, proactively anticipating our needs and enhancing our stay. The public areas are lovely. You can step directly from the villa area into various hot spring pools, and it takes about an hour to enjoy them all. When we were tired, we could order room service from the hotel. After eating, we could continue soaking or relaxing with drinks in the room, or go to the main building for some karaoke. It's a great choice for a weekend getaway. Most importantly, the villa was spotless. The hotel promptly enhanced its pest control services, so there were no flying ants, mosquitoes, weeds, or fallen leaves in the room. We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay.

My room was a luxurious suite with private bath tub (around hkd 3000 for two nights including breakfast). Hardware is definitely exceptional. However when it comes to service it is below standard: 1) front desk - service was poor without any greetings such as bell boy. Front desk officers were unhappy without any eye contact when they talk to you. No hospitality at all; 2) breakfast - the quality both food and service were not up to a 4 or 5 star service. Table was not clean, staffs were almost unfriendly, except one female manager and one staff, all staffs were rushing their task and unwelcoming. I believe the hotel management need to motivate their staff ,otherwise, people won’t come again. 3) Amnenties - room is a luxurious suite with private bath tub, massage chair, kitchen , dining table and queen bed. The tub was not very clean, with water splitting . Such a waste as their service was not meeting the standard of what it is expected to be a 5- star resort. (The environment, garden were nicely decorated indeed) The Hot Spring pool is well known but I have’s try so cannot comment. I won’t come to this resort again, if the service of the hotel haven’t improved. And I won’t recommend travelers with kids who is looking for a family friendly and good service resort. Many of the feelings are truly indescribable and can only be experienced firsthand. Overall, the experience was perfect. It's rare to find a place where there are more staff than guests; at a certain age, one appreciates places with fewer people, as the price point naturally filters the clientele. The emotional value was through the roof. I won't even discuss value for money, but solely based on quality and price, I believe it was incredibly worthwhile. Throughout our stay, whether we needed recommendations for local restaurants or baby supplies, she was always quick to respond with enthusiasm and made sure everything was perfectly arranged for us. Her warm smile and patience made our whole family feel right at home. The hotel's design is very impressive. Our duplex private hot spring room was a huge hit with our baby, who explored it like a little adventurer. The lawn by the Yadong River was a fantastic place for our baby to burn off energy, and they didn't want to leave. The private hot spring pool was the icing on the cake; after the baby was asleep, we enjoyed a perfect soak under the stars.

We could soak once before bed and again after breakfast the next day, enjoying a private hot spring right in our room ♨️. The air inside the hotel was fresh and very comfortable after the rain. The breakfast selection had a lot of Cantonese options; the Chencun vermicelli and Conghua rice noodles were delicious, and they even had freshly made rice noodle rolls. I suggest they could offer soy sauce with chili rings for the Cantonese rice noodle rolls and beef brisket noodle soup – that would be perfect 😊

I happened to visit during International Women's Day. On March 7th, I even received a carnation from the hotel staff for Girls' Day. However, there didn't seem to be any activities on Women's Day itself, which was a bit disappointing. We usually prefer to book rooms in the main building here because it's been renovated and the room facilities are newer. This time, when we went to the pet feeding area, it felt like they weren't ready for guests; maybe the timing was off. There were no staff members, and we didn't know what to feed the animals with. We could only look and then leave, which diminished the fun. However, the customer service here is still good. Although sometimes the response time was quite slow, there was always a follow-up.

Beautiful location near Hai Zhu metro with shops and eateries nearby. Was upgraded to room overlooking the river. Staff were friendly and very helpful with our Taobao deliveries with proper tracking and signing off when collecting. The rooms and hotel were beautifully decorated in traditional Chinese style. Sound proofing in the room was good and had a peaceful night sleep on comfortable beds. The shower only had a handspray, there was no rainshower probably because the ceiling height in the shower was not very high. The laundry room was clean, spacious with new 4x washer and 4x dryer, but the gym was small and very old and most of the equipment not useable apart from the dumbbells.

As a photographer, my perception of space often precedes my sense of taste. My stay at the Shangri-La Guangzhou felt more like a visual therapy centered around 'light, water, and order.' It wasn't just a place to rest for a night; it was a process of emotional development. Arrival: Visual 'Noise Reduction' Driving through the traffic of the Pazhou Exhibition Center, the hotel's grand structure unfolded along the river. A photographer's instinct is to seek out 'clean' backgrounds, and the lobby here was my first pleasant surprise—exceptionally high ceilings and impressive depth. There were no superfluous decorations; light streamed through the enormous glass curtain walls, casting long shadows on the floor. While checking in, I instinctively observed the angle of the light and found it to be diffuse, as soft as if it had passed through a softbox, instantly calming my initial anxieties. Room: The Pearl River in My Viewfinder I specifically booked a high-floor Horizon Club River View room. The moment I opened the door, I didn't look at the bed first; instead, I walked straight to the massive floor-to-ceiling window—my natural viewfinder. Composition Elements: In the foreground was the lush greenery of the hotel's 5800㎡ subtropical garden. The mid-ground featured the winding course of the Pearl River, and the background showcased the city's skyline. This layered sense of foreground, mid-ground, and background is a photographer's favorite 'standard composition.' Light's Mood: The 'blue hour' at dusk was the best time for shooting. The lights of cargo ships on the river cut through the water, and the architectural lines of the Pazhou Exhibition Center appeared stark and restrained in the twilight. I set up my tripod and used a long exposure to transform the flowing river water into a silken texture, a healing sensation that concretized time. Gardens: Flowing Vitality As a photographer, I tire of monotonous business aesthetics and crave vitality. The Shangri-La's gardens became my 'outdoor set.' Pool Lines: The 1000㎡ curvilinear outdoor pool, from an aerial perspective, looked like a sapphire embedded in the garden. The loungers by the pool and the reflections of palm trees created a minimalist, geometric tableau. Hidden Spots: The Koi pond and Southeast Asian-inspired vegetation in the garden, with their lighting at dusk, offered beautiful light and shadow play. Here, there was no city clamor, only the rustling of leaves in the breeze. The click of the shutter felt particularly clear at this moment, as if recording a prolonged stillness. Emotional Value: Relaxation Beyond the Shutter A photographer's journey often involves the fatigue of 'rushing between locations,' but here, I let go of the compulsion to 'get the shot.' The Slow Pace of the Executive Lounge: The Horizon Club lounge, located on a high floor, offered an excellent view. During afternoon tea, I put away my wide-angle lens and simply 'shot' the shifting clouds outside with my eyes. The hushed tones of the service staff acted as a kind of background noise reduction, allowing my emotions to completely relax. Evening Introspection: Back in my room, I soaked in the bathtub by the window, gazing at the Pearl River's nightscape. This sense of detachment was incredibly precious—I was both an observer of the city and an享受者 (enjoyer) enveloped by it. The emotional value at this moment wasn't about how many photos I took, but about finally having a moment where I didn't have to see the world through a viewfinder. Summary from a Photographer's Perspective The Shangri-La Guangzhou didn't give me isolated photos, but rather an emotional negative that could be developed. It offered a sense of compositional security with its expansive river views and a visual breathing space with its tranquil gardens. For someone who thinks through a lens, this is a secluded oasis where every spot is a potential shot, without the need to actively seek them out.

What a fantastic stay! The hotel's location is superb, and the river view from my room was unbeatable. Whether I was relaxing in the living room or enjoying the view of the flickering lights on the river from the bathtub at night, it was incredibly pleasant. Right outside the hotel is Shamian Island's historic architectural complex, offering a perfect blend of history and modernity. Even more surprising, the hotel found out it was my birthday and specially sent me a card and a gift – I was truly delighted! Hotel overall was clean & big. A bit old but well kept. Room service comes everyday to refills every and change the bed & towels. Nothing really stood out until after we checked out. We were waiting in the hotel lobby and my wife closed her eyes for a little bit. Then this tea lady came up to us and gave a really bad attitude saying ”you cannot sleep here, go to your hotel room and sleep”. Mind you we stayed here for 7 nights. This really soured my feelings for the hotel and made a really bad last impression. She was also chewing gum very loudly and blowing bubbles with it. Very gross. There is also a ”no outside food & beverage” sign on the table which we missed when we first arrived. We bought some snacks and drinks to eat at the 7-11 and she was the one to told us to put it away. A day later I saw other guests eating & drinking outside food at the same damn table. I really liked my experience here but this lady irks me. Management need to have a talk and sort out their policies. How are you claiming to be a 5 start hotel with this attitude?

The room was spacious with high ceilings and a large, comfortable bed with good quality bedding. The toilet was a bit problematic; I'm not sure if it was a water pressure issue or a weak flush, but it often required multiple flushes and still didn't clean properly. The view wasn't great, not a river view, but it didn't significantly impact the stay. Breakfast was extensive, with a wide variety of pastries and good quality bread. Some of the fruit (like the honeydew melon) wasn't very fresh. What truly stood out was the service: The room service was excellent. I had requested not to be disturbed at midday, and true to their word, I received no calls about check-out or housekeeping. Items I requested were promptly delivered by a robot. While it was a bit inconvenient that I had to go downstairs myself to pick up food delivery (as it couldn't be brought by the robot), I completely understood the policy. After finishing my takeout, I'd place the containers outside the door, and they were collected very quickly and efficiently. The lobby staff were attentive and proactive; they would greet and offer help without me even having to ask. The valets at the entrance, wearing red armbands, were also very prompt and efficient in greeting guests and opening car doors. The road in front of the hotel is quite narrow and a bit winding, leading to several instances of cars queuing and causing traffic jams outside. When I was leaving, it was raining, and the staff at the entrance and in the lobby were bustling around, polite and thoughtful, which was a definite plus. Having stayed at various five-star hotels in Guangzhou, the service at this Westin truly stands out as excellent (even compared to another Westin in the city, which I found less satisfactory).

Facilities: The hotel is up to InterContinental standards and quite new, but the toothbrush was really poor quality, shedding bristles, which is not what you'd expect from a hotel of this caliber. Cleanliness: Meets five-star standards. Environment: Located in Pazhou with a decent river view. Service: Service was pretty good, though they made a mistake with the invoice. For breakfast, they had fresh steamed dim sum and egg tarts, and staff would push carts around to offer them to each table. The food tasted great.

This was by far the most comfortable hotel I stayed at during the May Day holiday in Guangzhou and Shenzhen! At first, navigating there felt a bit 'remote,' but once inside, it was a pleasant surprise. The shuttle driver in the morning was also excellent; he proactively helped open doors and carry luggage. The front desk lady was very pretty and kind. I'll definitely be back if I need to stay near the airport again! (The room in the picture looks a bit small, but it's actually quite spacious.)

This is our third year booking this hotel apartment. We book the same room type every year because it's spacious enough for our three large suitcases. This time, however, we were inexplicably assigned a super small suite. When we spoke to the hotel, we were told all suites of that type were the same, even though Ctrip listed the room size as 58 square meters. They claimed they 'sell them interchangeably'. We asked for the room type we always stay in, but were told it was unavailable. However, after complaining to Ctrip, the hotel miraculously found an available room for us. I've attached the floor plan for our level, which includes room sizes. According to this plan, the first room we got was only 50 square meters, and even the slightly larger one we switched to was just over 54 square meters – nowhere near the 58 square meters the hotel advertises on Ctrip. This hotel is engaging in false advertising. Furthermore, we stayed on a non-smoking floor, but many guests on that floor were smoking. The smoke even seeped into our room through the air conditioning system, yet the hotel's smoke alarms didn't react at all. Every morning, when the cleaning staff opened other room doors to tidy up, the entire floor was filled with a strong smell of smoke. Is your hotel's non-smoking floor just for show? Over the years, the hotel apartment's facilities have visibly aged, and many areas are poorly maintained. Housekeeping is also subpar, with many neglected spots, especially in the bathrooms. All in all, we were very disappointed with this hotel apartment after this stay. Its service quality has significantly declined. If there are no improvements, we likely won't choose this place again in the future.

The hotel is 3 minutes from Shiqiao station. There is a bus line in front of the hotel that takes you to Shawan old town and other sites. It is across from a local mall with a lot of eateries. My only complaint is the cloth drier is hard to use without WeChat pay. Anyway, it is a good stay at this property.

I chose this hotel because it was close to where I needed to be for my business trip, and also conveniently near Guangzhou East. When checking in, the front desk staff were very attentive, asking about my preferences and offering two room options: one facing the sun but potentially noisy due to the high-speed rail, and another that was less sunny but quiet. I opted for the quiet side, and the lovely front desk staff even upgraded my room. It was centrally located and actually got plenty of sunlight, not dark as I had imagined. Both the housekeeping and front desk staff always greeted me with a smile when I entered or exited the elevator, which was a nice touch. You need to use your key card to access the elevator, and there's free parking, so it's quite a good value overall. The room itself was standard, not brand new, but clean and well-maintained. Just a heads-up: there's a small, raised nail where the carpet meets the wooden floor. I wasn't wearing shoes when I checked in and scraped my foot on it.

The breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options. The area around the hotel is packed with restaurants, which was super convenient. A big shoutout to the front desk staff – being able to borrow a charger anytime really saved me. Perfect for a business stopover, with great transport links and comfortable facilities.

It was Children's Day weekend, and my kids love staying in hotels, so after some thought, we chose the Nansha Marriott! The hotel's location is excellent, with a mall nearby offering plenty of shopping and dining options. When we checked in on the weekend, the front desk attendant was very enthusiastic. Seeing that we had kids, she upgraded us to an executive floor, which made the children incredibly happy – they got to enjoy delicious NFC juice again! The room was spacious, very clean, and well-maintained. As soon as we dropped off our luggage, the kids couldn't wait to go swimming! The hotel's swimming pool water was very clean. Although it was crowded on the weekend, the pool was large enough, so there was still plenty of space to swim comfortably. While the executive lounge's simple meals weren't extensive, they were exquisite, with a good balance of meat and vegetables, making them very nutritious! The next day, the hotel's breakfast was incredibly rich, offering both Chinese and Western options. My favorite was the Cantonese rice noodles! The hotel helped us have a wonderful weekend.

The room was great, and the front desk service was excellent. They even provided stationery for college entrance exam takers. The room was very quiet, offering a wonderfully comfortable place to rest. The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere, and the noodles were delicious! 😋
