Arrived a little early, and the front desk upgraded us directly to a deluxe suite. The room was very spacious, and there was a pleasant tea aroma as soon as we entered. We stayed in the Bihai Tower, and it was very quiet at night. Upon check-out, they even gave us Mid-Autumn Festival mooncakes, which was a pleasant surprise! The Baiyun Tower seems to host more conferences, so for a quiet stay, Bihai Tower is probably better.
The only regret was that I specifically booked a room with breakfast for two at Guangzhou Yingbin Hotel for this trip to Guangzhou, hoping to enjoy authentic Cantonese dim sum breakfast. However, when we went to the restaurant the next morning, we found it was a very ordinary breakfast restaurant on the second floor, not the Hongmian Hall on the first floor where they serve dim sum. We stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton and had a wonderful experience, especially because of the warm and attentive service from the hotel staff.
A special mention goes to the team at the 礼宾室 (Concierge). Since I had ordered quite a lot of items online during our stay, I ended up visiting them many times to check on deliveries. They were always patient, helpful, and welcoming, taking the time to assist me with checking the packages and greeting us warmly every time. Their attitude really made us feel welcomed.
The housekeeping team also deserves special praise. Whenever we were heading out, they would kindly remind us to bring water and check the weather for the day. Since we were travelling with a baby, they also thoughtfully provided additional towels and toiletries, which was a very nice touch and showed genuine attention to our needs.
The location is also excellent. The hotel is around 1 km from 北京路步行街, which was an easy and pleasant walk for us. There are also plenty of local eateries nearby. I especially enjoyed visiting 广银肠粉 for 艇仔粥 and 嘉琪饼家 for 菠萝包 — I ended up going to both almost every day!
Overall, this was a very comfortable and family-friendly stay, made even better by the genuinely friendly and attentive staff. The service really stood out to us, and we would be happy to stay at DoubleTree by Hilton again.DariJPY 12,372

The hotel is near a few attractions - 沙面岛，永庆坊 and 上下九步行街 which is very convenient, just about 10 to 15mins walk. There are many restaurants and shops along the shangxiajiu jie.There’s also a street nearby with shops selling Chinese herbs! We really enjoyed our stay there. It was so convenient having everything within easy reach. Thanks to the staff at the reception and ground floor lobby for their help in providing directions and information. The hygiene was excellent. The smart toilet was a nice touch, and the toiletries were superb – from the Atelier Cologne Pomélo Paradis series, including a lovely-smelling body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and hand soap.
The environment was outstanding. Just downstairs is Yuexiu Park, offering a sense of tranquility amidst the bustle.
Regarding service, there were many international guests, given the hotel's location in the old city. We saw guests from Southeast Asia, India, Africa, Europe, and America, and the service kept up with their diverse needs.
The facilities were complete, and for the two nights I stayed, the overall feeling was quite good.

The overall all experience was good, staffs were friendly and helpful. We were staying at the room that has the river view, the view is beautiful because the location of the hotel is in the center. The host at the front desk who named Zixuan Yan was being very helpful, he helped us checked in the room, and made the reservation of the restaurant for us. But I really don’t recommend to dinning at the restaurant named hongtu hall, never been to a restaurant that sucks from the bottom to the top, it doesn’t matter if you have reservations that has a specific number or not, they will sit you by whoever stand the closest to the entrance, and if you don’t ask the host and keep waiting for them to call your number, you will be excluded from being sited like forever. Also, food takes like 25 to 35 minutes to come, coffee, cocktail and tea are good, but this 5 star hotel which located at Guangzhou which is known for good food that has only one kind of the hot sauce is really not professional, and it’s not even hot at all. Then comes to payment, we tried to do room charge, and filled out the information on the receipt that they provided, then they told us to wait cuz they need to check if the information is correct, so we tried to be patient and waited for like 20 minutes, I was confused how come they took forever to come back to tell us if everything is going well, then I asked the same girl is everything ok and if we can go now, she was surprised that we still sitting there and wait saying “oh, they didn’t tell you it went through?” I was pissed and didn’t say anything, but what do you mean if other servers supposed to tell me when you are the one that respond to our table. The whole restaurant is super unorganized and maybe they are popular and busy, so they don’t need to really care about every single one of us. It’s really one of the most ridiculous experiences I’ve ever had and not to mentioned is in a well known 5 star hotel. I love Guangzhou and white swan hotel ever since I was little, it’s one of the signature hotel in Guangzhou that whoever born and raised will be proud to talk about, it still are but I don’t think I will ever come back here again.DariJPY 18,511

The view from the window is stunning; I could see the Canton Tower to the left, Jiefang Bridge to the right, and the Pearl River in the middle. The room itself was well-appointed, with a blue floral carpet, and both the bathroom and shower were spacious. A thoughtful touch was the cartoon sightseeing map on the desk, which highlighted nearby attractions and recommended eateries—very practical for first-time visitors to Guangzhou. The room rate was quite reasonable, as it didn't include breakfast. For meals, guests can head to the Tao Heung Restaurant on the second floor of the hotel, where dim sum for breakfast, lunch, and dinner is incredibly popular! I booked two nights on different platforms, plus an hourly room. The front desk staff on Monday and Tuesday, July 13th and 14th, really need better training. They have absolutely no service awareness. I don't expect a 'home away from home' feeling or even a smile, but at least don't make guests feel stressed and annoyed! Their handling of check-out/extension procedures and problem-solving is like they're temporary staff. I was checking out and extending for a 4-hour hourly room. I had called ahead to request a 30-minute late check-out. I booked the hourly room at the front desk at 12:29 PM. By 1:20 PM, I was still running back and forth between the elevator, the front desk, and the hourly room. I took the elevator five times just to check in! And the elevators aren't synchronized, and there are many floors. The front desk staff showed no apology whatsoever and didn't proactively offer to compensate for the wasted time. When I suggested that my hourly stay should start counting from 1 PM, the front desk insisted I had only checked out at 12:30 PM. I argued that I had already been checking out before 12:30 PM, and extending check-out by 30 minutes is standard hotel practice. Ultimately, they demanded I check out by 6 PM, which was effectively only a 40-minute compensation! Then, around 4 PM, they called again, rushing me to check out before 5 PM. Can't they be a bit more considerate? The road in front of the hotel is very congested, and the front desk is on the 5th floor. The hygiene was acceptable.DariJPY 8,035

The room was spacious, did not have any smoke odor, and included complimentary tea and bottled water. You can grab a cup of coffee or cold tea downstairs in the lobby. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The seating area was perfect for two people. The included breakfast was good with a small variety of foods, including dimsum, noodles, congee, fruit, milk, soymilk, coffee, and tea.
The hotel is just across the street from the Chen Clan metro station, making it easy to get around Guangzhou. There are some shopping malls and restaurants nearby, including a popular dimsum chain.

The room was great and very clean. The hotel front desk staff were incredibly patient and provided excellent service. It was super convenient that I could have packages delivered to the hotel in advance. Because of the floor height, the delivery robot couldn't reach my room for takeout, but a staff member personally brought it up incredibly fast. The river view rooms offer the best scenery. You can tell the front desk in advance that you want a room ending in '05'; otherwise, it's a hassle to move around and switch rooms. Anyway, it was a really, really great stay. 广州交通其实很方便，尤其是广州地铁覆盖很广。
👉 我的建议：
- 选 “步行5分钟内到地铁” 的酒店
- 尽量选有换乘站的地方
⭐ 看评价不要只看评分（要看“内容”）
很多人只看评分 4.5⭐ 就直接订，其实不够！

Before the end of the summer vacation, I brought my kids to Guangzhou and booked two deluxe twin rooms at Sheraton Guangzhou Hotel for two nights.
Hotel Location: It's right by Exit D of Tiyu Xilu metro station. The hotel's first floor connects directly to Teemall, and Parc Central and Grandview Mall are also linked, making transportation very convenient. Whether it's malls, restaurants, or various community cafes, everything is nearby – extremely convenient.
Room Facilities: We stayed in the most basic twin room, which was quite spacious and roomy. From our 15th-floor room, we could see the pool, offering a nice view. The room facilities were well-maintained, practical, and functional.
Food and Beverage Service: The kids couldn't get up early in the mornings, and we wanted to try dim sum at nearby restaurants, so we didn't book breakfast. We bought a 3-drink pass at the lobby cafe and enjoyed coffee there, which was quite pleasant.
Hotel Service: It was standard five-star service. After we arrived at the airport, my child realized they had left something in the room. The hotel proactively contacted us and arranged to have it sent home. We're very grateful for that.

We stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton and had a wonderful experience, especially because of the warm and attentive service from the hotel staff.
A special mention goes to the team at the 礼宾室 (Concierge). Since I had ordered quite a lot of items online during our stay, I ended up visiting them many times to check on deliveries. They were always patient, helpful, and welcoming, taking the time to assist me with checking the packages and greeting us warmly every time. Their attitude really made us feel welcomed.
The housekeeping team also deserves special praise. Whenever we were heading out, they would kindly remind us to bring water and check the weather for the day. Since we were travelling with a baby, they also thoughtfully provided additional towels and toiletries, which was a very nice touch and showed genuine attention to our needs.
The location is also excellent. The hotel is around 1 km from 北京路步行街, which was an easy and pleasant walk for us. There are also plenty of local eateries nearby. I especially enjoyed visiting 广银肠粉 for 艇仔粥 and 嘉琪饼家 for 菠萝包 — I ended up going to both almost every day!
Overall, this was a very comfortable and family-friendly stay, made even better by the genuinely friendly and attentive staff. The service really stood out to us, and we would be happy to stay at DoubleTree by Hilton again.DariJPY 12,372

The hotel looked better in the pictures than in real life! Honestly, the overall environment was decent, and there were several pleasant surprises during our stay, like the afternoon tea included in our package and the fruit platter specially provided at the hot spring. However, the downside was the hotel staff's somewhat aggressive upselling. They offered us a room upgrade but wanted an additional 80 yuan per hot spring tub (even though the room I booked already had a private tub!). Also, we had to pay extra for our child exceeding the limit, and this was only for a single entry (a multi-entry pass cost over 100 yuan per person, with no discount for hotel guests). What was even funnier was that each room was limited to 4 bottles of mineral water. We took 5 bottles the first night because we needed more water after using the hot spring, and then they wouldn't give us any more the next day! On checkout day, I wanted to take two bottles of water, but the front desk didn't even have any. Oh well, it's not like we're desperate for those two bottles. Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at a type C suite with superb amenities like bathtub, big shower and a private pool 😍 Upon our arrival, the staff (Ally) was highly proficient and gave us a quick brush up on what to expect on the resort. She accompanied us to the room and even drove the golf cart herself.
The most amazing person in the resort was Anna, their Customer Service Manager who went above and beyond by personally touring us inside the resort - Museum, temple as well as the presidential villa. She even took our photos and passionately shared about the resort and it's history. She is highly proficient in Mandarin despite being from Russia and not a native speaker.
The hot springs were the highlight. We. Went there every day for 3 days and the amenities were too notch. We practically had the springs to ourselves.
Bonus? We played tennis in one of the resorts 2 courts. Service was excellent too! While it rained that day, they mopped the court so we can play.

You can request a shuttle service to get to various areas of the hotel, and there's ample parking. The room key card for electricity was very convenient. The room itself comes with a dryer, a private hot spring tub, and even a colon hydrotherapy machine. The mini-bar offered 3 complimentary drinks, plus 4 bottles of mineral water. The room amenities were great; the duvet and pillows were very comfortable. Room service is also available.
The Orchid Garden area has hot spring pools right downstairs, which is extremely convenient. The pools have hydro-massage jets that feel incredibly good. The swimming pool in the aquatic center is a good size, and there are hot spring tubs there too. Both the breakfast and dinner buffets offer a wide variety of dishes that suit Chinese palates, though there weren't any particularly high-value items.
The only minor drawbacks were that some of the staff seemed a bit rushed at times, and their communication skills could be improved. Also, the low heat and high heat settings on the in-room dryer were indistinguishable, and its drying efficiency was just average. I stayed at the hotel with my child over the weekend, specifically for the outdoor pool! So, after checking in, we headed straight there! First, I was quite impressed with the hotel staff's attitude. Before our arrival, knowing we were traveling with a child, they helped set up a small tent in the room, which my child really liked! The rooms are all above the 50th floor, spacious, and have great views!
The only minor downsides, in my opinion, are that the bathroom lighting is a bit dim and the hot water takes a while to come on; I had to wait a few minutes for hot water in the shower!
The outdoor pool isn't very big, and it wasn't crowded, but it's a bit of a walk to get there, and you have to pass through the banquet hall! This design seems a bit unreasonable...
My child and I had already changed into our swimsuits and bathrobes in the room, planning to go straight to the pool. A thoughtful touch was the cartoon sightseeing map on the desk, which highlighted nearby attractions and recommended eateries—very practical for first-time visitors to Guangzhou. For meals, guests can head to the Tao Heung Restaurant on the second floor of the hotel, where dim sum for breakfast, lunch, and dinner is incredibly popular! The age of the hotel is what it is, can't change that. To the left of the entrance, there's Yu Jing Xuan, a great spot for dim sum, and being in the center of Tianhebei makes it easy to get anywhere. As a Guangzhou native, Shangri-La has been at the forefront for two decades. I felt truly at home. The service standards of this long-standing five-star hotel haven't slipped one bit, which is commendable. The room was very clean and offered the best view and location. The swimming pool is quite large and comfortable for a hotel, with both indoor and outdoor options. Nancy Li from housekeeping also provided detailed and thoughtful service, trying her best to fulfill any requests. The quality of the staff reflects the high-level training provided by the hotel management. In the morning, I was woken by the sunlight filtering through the sheer curtains. Outside, the city skyline along the river was coming to life. The room's color palette was soft and elegant. The overall all experience was good, staffs were friendly and helpful. We were staying at the room that has the river view, the view is beautiful because the location of the hotel is in the center. The host at the front desk who named Zixuan Yan was being very helpful, he helped us checked in the room, and made the reservation of the restaurant for us. But I really don’t recommend to dinning at the restaurant named hongtu hall, never been to a restaurant that sucks from the bottom to the top, it doesn’t matter if you have reservations that has a specific number or not, they will sit you by whoever stand the closest to the entrance, and if you don’t ask the host and keep waiting for them to call your number, you will be excluded from being sited like forever. Also, food takes like 25 to 35 minutes to come, coffee, cocktail and tea are good, but this 5 star hotel which located at Guangzhou which is known for good food that has only one kind of the hot sauce is really not professional, and it’s not even hot at all. Then comes to payment, we tried to do room charge, and filled out the information on the receipt that they provided, then they told us to wait cuz they need to check if the information is correct, so we tried to be patient and waited for like 20 minutes, I was confused how come they took forever to come back to tell us if everything is going well, then I asked the same girl is everything ok and if we can go now, she was surprised that we still sitting there and wait saying “oh, they didn’t tell you it went through?” I was pissed and didn’t say anything, but what do you mean if other servers supposed to tell me when you are the one that respond to our table. The whole restaurant is super unorganized and maybe they are popular and busy, so they don’t need to really care about every single one of us. It’s really one of the most ridiculous experiences I’ve ever had and not to mentioned is in a well known 5 star hotel. I really have to praise the staff here, they are incredibly attentive! After checking in, they added me on WeChat, and I had a dedicated 24-hour butler who could help with all sorts of things, big or small. Any room requests were usually delivered within about 10 minutes. When traveling with kids, unexpected situations often arise, so having this service really put my mind at ease.
The laundry service is also excellent; they offer wash and dry, so you don't have to do it yourself. Clothes sent in the morning were returned the same day, which is super practical for families with children!
You can get free coffee on the first floor, and the latte was very good. The hotel is an older establishment that has been renovated, so it feels very new overall. The room space is a bit on the smaller side, but it didn't affect our stay experience. The value for money is excellent. The location is truly convenient; you can walk to Zhengjia Plaza for dining, drinking, and shopping without any issues.

This hotel was perfect for attending Chen Chusheng's concert. It's just one subway stop from University Town, so getting back to the hotel quickly after the show was a breeze.
