说真的，我一开始也是抱着一点怀疑在看“海南岛”🤔。网上一直说它是“马尔代夫平替”，但我心里想：真的有这么夸张吗？结果这趟去完，我直接改观了。如果你是想找一个飞不远、预算 OK、又可以真正放松 chill 几天的海岛，海南岛真的蛮可以的。尤其对我们马来西亚人来说，吃的不会不习惯、沟通也完全没压力，整体旅行体验是那种舒服的类型🌟。

而且最让我意外的是，有些海景酒店真的做到那种一开门就是海、楼下就是沙滩的感觉，价钱却没有想象中那么夸张（这点等下我会讲实际花费）。所以如果你最近也在想要不要去海南岛，这篇我就用最真实的体验，跟你讲清楚：到底值不值得去✅。

✈️ 马来西亚人去海南岛方便吗？

老实说，这一 part 我原本最担心，结果实际去了一趟之后，我会讲一句：比我想象中简单很多。

首先是✈️航班，从吉隆坡直飞海南岛（通常是三亚或海口）其实蛮多选择的，飞行时间大概 3 到 4 个小时左右，比你飞去日本、韩国轻松很多。对我们来说，很像飞去泰国或越南那种感觉，完全不会累到怀疑人生 😂

然后是🛂入境这块，现在去海南岛对马来西亚人很友好（很多时候是免签或手续很简单，出发前查一下最新政策就好）。我当时过关也蛮顺的，没有那种很复杂或卡很久的情况，这点真的加分。

再来是🗣️语言，这个完全不用担心。海南岛基本上都是华人，如果你会一点中文，沟通是完全没问题的；就算英文，其实在酒店或旅游区也都 OK。对比去一些完全语言不通的国家，这里真的轻松很多。

如果你问我海南岛“是不是很多景点要跑”，我的答案是：不算爆炸多，但每一个都很有代表性，而且风格很不一样。 重点是你不用赶行程，慢慢玩反而更舒服。

🌊 蜈支洲岛｜浮潜 + 玻璃海体验

这个基本是很多人来海南一定会去的地方。我自己觉得最加分的是海水颜色，真的是那种渐层蓝，天气好的时候很像滤镜开到最大😆
可以玩浮潜、水上活动，也可以不玩项目，就单纯坐在海边看海，其实已经很舒服了。

🏖️ 亚龙湾｜纯看海放空天花板

亚龙湾比较适合“什么都不想做”的那种度假状态。沙滩很长很干净，海边酒店也很多。
我那天基本就是：走去海边 → 坐一下 → 回酒店泳池 → 再回海边，循环一整天。
👉 简单讲就是：来这里不用安排太多，发呆就是重点。

🛕 南山寺｜安静又有文化感的祈福地

如果你一直在海边，其实可以来南山寺换个节奏。这里整体氛围很安静，有很大的观音像，很多人会来祈福或走一走。

🎢 亚特兰蒂斯水世界｜刺激又好玩的水上乐园

这个就比较偏玩乐型了，很适合年轻人或家庭。里面有很多滑水道、水上设施，还有一些比较刺激的项目。

我很推荐大家去到海南岛一定要选海景酒店来住！因为像我那时一进房间最明显的感觉就是：窗外直接看到海 + 有阳台 + 早上阳光打进来真的很舒服。那一刻真的会有在充电的感觉，而且这种感觉不是那种城市酒店可以给到的🥰。

至于区域的话，我推荐住海棠湾或亚龙湾，因为那里很多酒店是直接靠海的，有私人沙滩或无边泳池。晚上坐在泳池边看海风吹，其实真的有马尔代夫的感觉，尤其是天气好的时候🌤️ 不过也要讲实话一点⚠️ 这里不是马尔代夫那种“岛上只有酒店+完全隔绝”的感觉。海南岛还是有城市感的，有车、有商场、有很多人，所以它的感觉更像是：“海岛度假 + 方便生活”混合型😎

但我觉得重点来了💡
它赢的地方是“性价比”。同样海景房，在马尔代夫可能是完全不同价位，但在海南岛，你是有机会用比较合理的价格住到不错的海景酒店。

The room was spacious, clean, and had a great sea view, plus a balcony which was super convenient for drying clothes. The swimming pool was clean with multiple lifeguards, so I felt very safe letting my kids play. They also have different activities every day: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays feature bubble parties and water boosters, while even-numbered days have free water gun fun! The front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, even gifting us a complimentary afternoon tea for two, which we could enjoy after check-out (from 2 PM to 5 PM). This was the longest late check-out I've ever experienced, and I was absolutely thrilled with it.

Overall, my experience was excellent, especially the top-notch service. It was the most astonishing trip I've had in the past five years. We stayed for two nights. We had booked a 180-degree sea view room, which was upgraded to an unbeatable sea view room. Besides the floor, there wasn't much difference between the rooms, though the balcony of the unbeatable sea view room was a bit larger. On our first day, we encountered a typhoon. It was my first time experiencing one, and it scared me. The floor-to-ceiling windows on the higher floors kept shaking, and the wind was howling. I was afraid they would collapse or be blown away, so I kept contacting the front desk and housekeeping for help. What shocked me the most was the service attitude of the hotel staff. If hotel management sees this, please make sure to commend all the staff who worked on the evening of July 3rd. Every staff member we encountered was incredibly proactive and dedicated to solving our problems. I don't know the specific names of the staff, and I can only vaguely remember their characteristics. All the following timestamps refer to the 3rd: 1. Around 19:20, housekeeping staff on the 17th floor were busy running around, helping every room with towels to block water. Also, the male manager in black on the 17th floor actively coordinated and resolved issues for everyone without complaint. 2. Around 19:40, the lady standing to the right of the front desk (a bit plumper than the other front desk staff) helped us switch rooms several times. She also proactively contacted someone to check for leaks. She was friendly and kept reassuring us, which made us feel at ease. 3. The red-haired housekeeping auntie on the 17th floor (who was a bit short) ran up and down for us to get a dehumidifier and contacted the AC repair staff. 4. The young man from the engineering department who repaired the AC stood outside in the typhoon to fix our door. He even called another person to help us with the repair – I really admire that. 5. Apparently, two gentlemen from the front desk delivered our room cards. One of them was particularly tall. He said there were too many guests waiting for the elevator, and he was afraid we'd be anxious, so he ran from the first floor to the 17th floor. I'm so grateful. I don't remember the other staff very clearly, but in short, thank you all for providing such excellent service. Because of you, whenever my friends and I visit Dadonghai in the future, we will choose The Harman. Whether it's during a natural disaster or normal times, I believe any hotel can encounter problems. We encountered many problems at the hotel, and they all happened on the same night. But the fact that all problems were resolved so well is, in my opinion, truly remarkable. There are at least 60 rooms on each floor, with guest rooms from the 6th to the 18th floor – you can imagine how many staff members are needed. I can confidently say that at any hotel or company, when so many customers encounter problems simultaneously, many staff members would also become an 'act of God.' No other business could be like The Harman that night, where all staff were proactive, enthusiastic, without complaint, endured fatigue, smiled, and were even more anxious than me to solve my problems. This is extremely rare. They even ran to find us. We faced many problems that night, and we sought help from over 10 staff members within three hours. But every single one of them possessed the highest quality expected of service personnel, even far exceeding other four-star and five-star hotels on regular days. If even one staff member had been angry or impatient with me, I wouldn't be as shocked as I am now. Having such a group of excellent, kind, and charming staff is truly the most valuable asset of this hotel. Thank you all for your service, and I hope the hotel is as kind to its staff!

The villa is beautiful and the pool water is very clean. The hotel is right next to the beach, so you can walk over and dip your toes in the water. The rooms are large and plentiful, and I got a bit disoriented when I first checked in. Unlike other standalone villa hotels I've stayed at, this one doesn't have a butler service; you need to call the front desk for any requests. It also felt like the hotel was understaffed. We checked in during peak hours, and the front desk staff looked very tired and overwhelmed. They didn't even guide guests queuing up in an orderly fashion. The experience in this regard was quite poor compared to the Hilton we stayed at two days ago. If you're staying in a villa, you'll need to bring your own mosquito repellent. Because the rooms are so large and there's a lot of greenery, even electric mosquito coils were largely ineffective. I didn't see any mosquito traps or similar facilities outside either. We were almost carried away by Sanya's mosquitoes!

I originally booked an executive suite with a sea view on another platform, but forgot to make a reservation... By the afternoon, there were no sea view rooms left, so I temporarily chose a mountain view, which was also great. The room was spacious, and my family was very satisfied. The ladies at the front desk were incredibly helpful, arranging two rooms for us even though the sea view rooms weren't available. I'm very grateful for their assistance. My child loved the kids' room key card. In the evening, they delivered fruit and even brought a stroller for my child. Staying at the Marriott with a child was a very thoughtful experience! The afternoon tea was delicious, but the wait was too long, about two hours. I hope they can improve that.

First, the pros: The hotel is very close to the sea; you can walk out from the ground floor and be on the beach in a few dozen meters. Since it's at the very end, the beach is quite clean. The rooms are also clean, and the housekeeping staff are all very friendly. There's a pharmacy and a small convenience store right in the hotel lobby, which is quite convenient for buying medicine and other necessities. The concierge service was also excellent, actively helping with luggage upon arrival and departure. There's even a ** (food delivery) locker at the lobby entrance, which makes ordering takeout very convenient. Now, the cons: The front desk service was terrible. The room they initially assigned us could only be used for showering while standing in the bathtub. Since one of my companions had difficulty with their leg, I asked for a different room. The front desk staff immediately told me the hotel was fully booked and there were no other rooms available. I had no choice but to contact Ctrip, and they quickly arranged a room change for us. When checking out, I requested a late check-out because my child needed an afternoon nap. Again, the front desk told me the hotel was fully booked and we could only stay until 12:30 PM. However, before calling, I had already checked the booking page, and our room type was still available for sale that day, so it wasn't fully booked. Oh well, we checked out on time. Breakfast: The variety was extremely limited, and most of the options seemed more suitable for Russians. I stayed for three days, and as a woman with a small appetite, I never felt full. In the evening, there's also a self-service BBQ on the ground floor for 98 yuan per person. I wouldn't recommend making a special trip to Bohou Village Night Market; it's just a short road, a few dozen meters long, entirely filled with BBQ stalls. If you plan to book this hotel, I suggest getting a full sea-view room directly. The full sea-view rooms seem to have been renovated, and the facilities look newer. Also, a word of advice: do not book through **. I saw others who booked through **, and when issues arose, the hotel and ** just passed the buck, leaving the customer to suffer. This trip was long with many uncertainties, and I deeply experienced Ctrip's problem-solving capabilities. They truly are the king of the tourism industry; kudos to Ctrip! 👍

The hotel facilities are comprehensive, clean, and the location is excellent. I especially want to commend how child-friendly it is. Not only did they provide delicious kids' meals, which greatly relieved the worries of parents whose children don't eat seafood, but the hotel pool also had plenty of swimming rings and beach balls, making the kids very happy. The sand-digging tools, available for loan anytime, were of excellent quality. Plus, the complimentary snacks were a delightful surprise, both in quality and quantity! 👍 During our stay, our butler Dora was incredibly responsive and provided superb service! My friends, who were with me, kept raving about it. Truly the king of value for money!

We were very satisfied with the room. A huge thank you to our hotel butler, Li Shiping (Xiao Li), who was incredibly patient, meticulous, and attentive in helping us with numerous issues during our stay. For example, he assisted with supplies and meals for our children and even helped us with a late check-out due to a flight delay. Xiao Li also diligently resolved many other small details that came up during our stay. We were also lucky enough to get an upgrade to a sea-view room! The beach was just a 3-minute walk away, and there was a pool right downstairs where our kids had an absolute blast and didn't want to leave. It was a very happy and enjoyable vacation at this hotel.

We stayed at the Pullman Sanya Yalong Bay with two adults and two children in a Luxury Pool Twin Room. The overall ambiance was fantastic, with a strong Southeast Asian tropical vibe. The 48㎡ room with two queen-sized beds was spacious and comfortable. After communicating in advance, the hotel thoughtfully provided children's toiletries and slippers, perfectly meeting the needs of our family of four. The room's floor-to-ceiling windows opened directly to the public pool, so we could step out and swim immediately. The pool had lifeguards, making it safe and convenient for kids to play in the water. The resort grounds were lush with greenery, featuring an indoor kids' club and a shallow wading pool. There were daily family activities like bubble parties, and the children absolutely loved it. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options catering to both young and old tastes. The hotel's buggy service provided convenient transfers to and from the beach. Housekeeping was prompt, and the staff offered attentive service. The strong sense of privacy, coupled with all the amenities for kids, made it a one-stop, worry-free vacation. It's a highly recommended family-friendly resort with great value for money in Yalong Bay.

The hotel also offers free scheduled shuttle buses to the beach, which is very convenient. Within 800 meters of the hotel, you'll find the Yalong Bay Yatai Night Market Street and the Baihua Valley Commercial Street, making it easy to browse the night market and commercial area after dinner. It's a peaceful escape that doesn't lack convenience, truly an oasis of calm in the bustling Yalong Bay. Overall, my stay was very enjoyable. The hotel's excellent location, beautiful natural environment, spacious and comfortable villa, and attentive service all left a deep impression on me. The hotel offers great value for money, and I highly recommend it for anyone vacationing in Sanya. I'll definitely choose Shixi Villa Jianguo Resort Hotel first on my next trip to Sanya!

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at Palace Hotel. There was a small issue on the first day, but the staff handled it quickly and professionally, which left a good impression. The swimming pool was excellent, and one of the highlights was being able to enjoy a meal while looking at the aquarium. The location is also very convenient, with the night market within walking distance. Yalong Bay Beach was a little below my expectations, although it is only about a 3-minute walk from the hotel. Overall, it was a comfortable stay with great facilities, and I would consider staying here again.

This was my first stop in Sanya, a hotel recommended by a colleague. There are so many hotels in Sanya, and I usually check negative reviews, which makes choosing difficult, so I ended up trusting my colleague's suggestion. Pros: I was very satisfied after checking in. The room was clean and tidy. I specifically checked the sheets and towels; they were pristine and fluffy. The balcony offered a stunning view. The beach is just across the road. Although it's at the end of Coconut Dream Corridor, the scenery is still great, and it's very convenient to get to Tianya Haijiao, Tianya Town, and the Nanhai Guanyin. Cons: 1. The facilities are a bit older; the cabinet doors don't close perfectly, but it doesn't affect their use. 2. There were fewer children's activities during our stay, even though there are quite a few kids during the summer vacation. 3. The food selection wasn't very diverse, especially the Chinese cuisine. I hope this can be improved!

Good day. We stayed at this hotel in July 2026. It's a fantastic, wonderful hotel with excellent service. I particularly want to highlight the superb work of the guest relations manager, Maria. She was incredibly attentive to us from the very first moments of check-in, helped with an early check-in, and throughout our stay, she made sure everything was to our satisfaction. A few minutes after checking in, she sent her contact information with full details about the hotel, including where everything was located and opening times. The hotel offers very delicious breakfasts with a huge selection of dishes, lots of fruit, ice cream, and pastries. The restaurant has fast service and quick clean-up. There are many pools and a very beautiful green area. The underground access to the beach with an elevator is very convenient. They also host thematic parties and shows. Upon check-out, we were given a soft toy, which was a nice touch. I will definitely return to this hotel. I highly recommend it; I have something to compare it to. Taking advantage of my recent leave, I brought my parents and child to Hainan and chose the Sheraton Yalong Bay Resort for a few days' stay. It was then I realized that the best of seaside vacations, a perfect blend of mountains and sea, is hidden right here within this resort. The hotel boasts an exclusive, prime beachfront location in Yalong Bay, surrounded by 100,000 square meters of lush tropical gardens. Towering coconut trees, blooming frangipani and flamboyant trees line the paths, while winding streams encircle pavilions and reflecting pools mirror the sky. Every few steps reveal a new floral display, and every ten steps, a breathtaking view of mountains and sea, creating a harmonious blend of Nanyang elegance and island wilderness. From the airy lobby, the vast expanse of turquoise sea stretches out before you, with a gentle breeze carrying a faint scent of coconut. All the dust and fatigue from the long journey instantly dissipate upon entering. A leisurely three-minute stroll through the gardens leads directly to the hotel's private, long stretch of silvery beach. The white sand is as fine as silk, and the clear, pristine nearshore waters resemble琉璃 (a type of ancient Chinese glazed pottery, here meaning crystal-clear glass). The gentle lapping of waves and the soft, reef-free waters make it ideal for family leisure. My parents could comfortably sit on rattan chairs under the coconut trees, gazing at the distant mountains and ocean, enjoying the cool breeze. The children, barefoot, chased waves and collected shells in the shallows. The resort also features five uniquely designed swimming pools, with dedicated shallow areas for children to play and splash to their hearts' content, worry-free. The guest rooms are spacious and bright, and the sea-view balconies offer a panoramic triple treat of coconut groves, sandy beaches, and the distant ocean. Leaning against the railing, I quietly awaited the sunset, watching the golden light melt into the sea, painting the entire horizon with a gentle glow. The service throughout the hotel was warm and attentive, with thoughtfulness hidden in every detail. The three meals offered a delightful array of mountain and sea flavors, with meticulous care taken morning, noon, and night. There's no need to venture far to find scenic beauty; within the resort, you can embrace all the poetic charm of the island – the coconut breeze, the sunset, and the sound of the tides. The most precious aspect of this trip was being in the gentle embrace of the Sheraton's mountains and sea. There was no need to rush to distant places; the refreshing breeze was ever-present, my elders were relaxed and content, and my child was joyful and free. Three generations spent precious time together, enjoying the beautiful seascape and the perfect family bliss. A bay of turquoise water, a garden full of lush greenery, a wonderful stay, and warm hospitality – all the myriad joys of this trip were made possible by the Sheraton Yalong Bay Resort.

I saw Sanya Bay Holiday Inn mentioned online as being very family-friendly, and after staying there this time, I can confirm it lives up to its reputation. Before check-in, a dedicated butler from the hotel contacted me and added me on WeChat, proactively asking about our needs. What truly stood out was that every morning after we checked in, they diligently inquired about our stay experience. This is quite rare; at other family-friendly hotels I've stayed at, the butler only added WeChat and didn't follow up so actively every day. Next, let's talk about the hotel's pools. During our stay, two pools were under maintenance, so we only used the other two. I asked a lifeguard, and they said the pool water is changed every 24 hours. I actually witnessed the water being changed twice, which is a huge plus. The breakfast buffet was very extensive. I personally feel it's much richer than the breakfast at the Sheraton Sanya Yalong Bay. The breakfast area was also bright and spacious. By the way, the dinner at the Chinese restaurant was delicious; we ate there two nights in a row. Overall, our stay was a perfect 10.

It's clear that the hotel's service plan during peak season didn't meet guests' expectations. Simply rushing us didn't make things more efficient. It seemed the hotel recognized these service shortcomings and offered some compensation, including accommodating our request for a late check-out due to the delay. I hope they seriously reflect on the root causes of these issues in their management, as most guests won't complain; they'll just choose not to return. Despite the check-in issues, I must commend their family-friendly facilities. They really stand out among family hotels. They have a dedicated pool for younger children, a separate area for toddler meals where you can grab kids' utensils and bibs, and even a special dining area for children. They've clearly put a lot of thought into the family experience, which is commendable. There are many engaging and practical parent-child activities available right at the hotel, and you can easily book them. The go-karts and mini-train offer unlimited rides. However, the concierge service could be improved; the slow response times were a significant service flaw. Even though the hotel has been around for a while, the facilities are well-maintained, and the sofa bed was a great addition. Overall, the hotel's focus on family themes is well-deserved, but I hope they can improve their service turnaround quality during peak season.

Right outside, you have both sandy beaches and rocky areas, satisfying both swimming and beachcombing needs – it's perfect for a family vacation with young and old alike! Our butler, Annie, was also super attentive, always checking in with us and anticipating our needs, even those we hadn't thought of ourselves, fulfilling all our requests. I was genuinely surprised by this hotel! Having stayed at most of the beachfront hotels in Sanya, I spent a few days by the sea this time, and then decided to escape the rainy season in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai by retreating to the mountains for a few more days. Location: Since I was driving, I didn't feel it was far from the city. At least all delivery services were available. Plus, the resort itself is so convenient that I didn't feel the need to go out. They have everything: restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, a spa, a supermarket, a barbershop, etc. If you need anything, you can just order delivery. Ambiance: Excellent. The greenery is superb, and the hygiene is top-notch – not a single piece of trash. Service: The butler service was fantastic right from the moment I completed my booking. They handled vehicle registration, luggage, check-in, and even delivered fruit. The butler's WeChat responses were always prompt. They also helped me pre-book some in-house activities (yoga, sound healing, etc.). They even helped deliver food up to my room, and there are shuttle buses to phases 1 and 3 of the resort. All the staff are very attractive. My flight was delayed due to a typhoon, and they even granted me a late checkout. Hotel Facilities: They have it all – pools, restaurants, a gym, and sports courts. The room's amenities are also great, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom, a fridge, a coffee machine, and even a pour-over coffee pot! The balcony has lounge chairs and a drying rack. Bathing and toiletries are fully stocked. The minibar offers complimentary drinks and snacks daily. Dining: I tried the Michelin-starred Sichuan restaurant Jichuan (good), the yakitori place Niaowan (great value for money), various cuisines at Dining Hall No. 1, and the 1402 coffee and bakery – all were good. Yongfu and Xinrongji Manner are only open in winter. Compared to the hustle and bustle of the beach, this place feels like the quiet Ubud of Sanya. I realized it's perfect for a 'sportcation' this time, and I plan to come back!

We booked a family suite, which was very large and spacious. For an older hotel, the hardware was acceptable (though some things like the balcony light wouldn't turn off, the electric curtains didn't work, and some room light switches were faulty) 😂. However, the unbeatable sea view was incredibly therapeutic! For the best sea views in China, Yalong Bay is definitely the place, though it depends on the weather. In the afternoon, even phone photos of the sea look like a jelly ocean. You could sit on a lounge chair and zone out all afternoon. If you're with kids, there are daily activities available, some free and some paid, so you can check the schedule. (For sea fishing, if you get seasick, I'd seriously reconsider.) Personally, I felt the activities were more suitable for younger children; our fifth grader wasn't too interested. His favorite thing was playing in the water. After 4 PM, it's not too sunny, and you can play for a long time. However, the beach has become much coarser. When we came a few years ago, it was soft, but this year it really hurt our feet. The waves were quite strong during our stay, which made swimming in the sea exhilarating. We tried the hotel's popular bubble tea – it was good even with regular ice and no sugar! Though the price was indeed a bit high. It was decent overall. The photographer from Platinum Photography, a partner of the hotel, was incredibly patient and excellent. They took many beautiful photos, and you could even borrow their dresses. Although it's all post-processed uniformly, it still looked quite natural. From booking to shooting to selecting photos, everything was very smooth, with no excessive upselling, purely based on personal preference. (Photos are at the end) The WeChat butler, 'Yue Lai Yue Hao' (Getting Better and Better), was very responsive and provided incredibly thoughtful service! Definitely worth a good review!! Looking forward to visiting again.

The hotel building is supposedly the newest wing of the old BAO Hotel across the street where those staying in the Shanghai Huating Boutique must go for breakfast. We waited 25 minutes to check as there was one desk agent serving one customer although after 2pm. The other staff agent appeared after 3pm. We were required to pay a refundable 500 RMB deposit and after checking into our room, God only knows what anyone would take from the room that was worth 500 RMB. Old not ironed bed linen, rusted garbage can, rusted balcony sink, old clean bathroom towel, old kitchen appliances which only the refrigerator was plugged in to work. The room condition (walls, floors, tiles, fixtures, etc) of the 8 years old hotel that opened in 2018 is far worse than it should be unless they used old materials to build. The option to PAY MORE for an “ocean view” is not worth it. After complaining that my room had a “pool view” AND I didn’t get the “ocean view” room I had PREPAID for, I was told I could change to another room that had an ocean view the NEXT DAY (because all of the 2 twin bedrooms with “ocean view” were already occupied for the day. But after I was shown the only room that had a view of the unsightly harbor/ocean which came with an old hard king size mattress and in worse condition than my 2 twin beds room, I decided not to move to another room BECAUSE after viewing the other available rooms where guests had checked out, there were none any better to justify packing up and moving to another old room. I contacted Trip.com, but because the cancellation period for THIS hotel expired the day before arrival, thus not allowing a chance to view the room before accepting the room at checkin. This is a red flag 🚩 as a hotel with pride & confidence in its products & service would allow the cancellation to extend to AT LEAST to 2-4pm on the planned checkin date especially at a famous beach resort (DaDongHai) during the 15 days long Chinese New Year’s holiday. So, no chance to change hotels UNLESS I was willing to forfeit $487.47. Also, I should mention the ants that appeared on the kitchenette counter EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS NO FOOD on the counter, only my coffee cup that I washed and left on the counter to dry. THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT MY STAY AT THIS “DESPERATELY NEED OF A PROPER RENOVATION” HOTEL IS THE ONE MORNING FEMALE DESK AGENT THAT ASSISTED ME A COUPLE OF TIMES IN THE MORNING AND A HOUSEKEEPING LADY SO, I GAVE BOTH A GOOD LUCK RED ENVELOPE 🧧 AS IT WAS THE CHINESE NEW YEAR HOLIDAY. If I go back to Da Dong Hai, I will DEFINITELY LOOK for a better hotel for my usually desired 5-10 days Sun & Beach vacation.

There was no butler service at the villa, which I found quite baffling. Since we were only staying for one night, I didn't make a big fuss about it. Let's talk about the room facilities. They were really old and poorly maintained. The bathtub had stains that looked like they'd been there for ages. If that's the case, they should just lock it up and keep guests from seeing it; it really affects the overall impression. Now, about the pool. When we asked for it to be disinfected, the staff responded immediately and were very proactive and serious about their work, which is commendable. However, many of the tiles at the bottom of the pool were uneven, making it very easy to scrape your feet. The hotel really needs to inspect this. The pool water was also too shallow; even at its deepest point, it was only about a meter deep, not reaching the 1.2 meters advertised. This was quite disappointing for anyone who actually wanted to swim. Of course, it's fine if you just want to splash around a bit.

The hotel's exterior looks a bit old and the public areas outside are quite small, mainly just a swimming pool. However, overall, for a hotel priced around 200, it's still worth a good review. It's very close to the beach, only about 30m away, just across the road. Taking a bus, taxi, or getting takeout is all very convenient nearby. There's also a place to rinse off sand right by the pool, which is handy. The front desk staff on the night shift on the 21st was very helpful and answered all questions. They deserve a good break; you could see the dark circles under their eyes. The interior of the room has been renovated, similar to the style of a Hanting Hotel (Jingjiang Inn's premium brand), and I slept very comfortably. There's a Xiaomi TV for screen casting. Points for improvement: The white curtains in the room are a bit dirty, and the mini-fridge only works when the room card is inserted.

The room itself was spacious, the bedding soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing excellent. The food was delicious too, and my friend and I enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing vacation here. A special thank you goes to our butler, Xiao Die. Her service was perfectly balanced – never intrusive, yet incredibly prompt and efficient whenever we needed anything. From our initial communication to all our inquiries during the stay, she patiently and meticulously helped coordinate everything. She thoughtfully arranged a room that perfectly met our group's needs and consistently provided excellent solutions when we required assistance. Her attentiveness and patience truly put a perfect finishing touch on our Sanya trip. The hotel grounds are beautiful, and it's very convenient to access both the beach and the pools. Five-star review for Yalong Bay Mangrove Tree Resort World! I especially want to commend our butler, Coral. Before our trip, I had a lot of little questions, from check-in details to dining options nearby, and she answered every single one quickly and clearly. It was like having a walking encyclopedia! Seeing that we had kids, she thoughtfully sent up a seasonal fruit platter, which was wonderfully sweet and refreshing. Throughout our stay, whenever we had a request, whether it was for two extra bottles of water or inquiring about pool hours, she'd respond and resolve it within minutes. She truly delivered on every request. We booked a garden-view room for two nights, and the window overlooked lush tropical greenery – so peaceful and beautiful. The hotel's best asset is its location. Just through the garden, you're on the beach. It only takes two or three minutes to walk there with the kids to dig in the sand and play in the waves, making early morning and evening beach trips super convenient. The family activities were incredibly diverse, from bubble parties to DIY crafts, with multiple different events each day. Our kids never wanted to leave! Overall, the service is thoughtful, the location is excellent, and it's very family-friendly. We'll definitely choose to stay here again next time we're in Sanya.

However, a major warning about the complimentary photo shoot they offer – they insist you pick one retouched photo (which costs 20, and it was awful). If you say no, they just give you a bad attitude. Definitely avoid it, don't even bother taking the photos. The picture attached is of Coconut Dream Corridor right outside the hotel – it's a fantastic spot for photos!

The room's balcony offered a sea view, which was a pleasant surprise, and you could hear the sound of the waves. The twin beds were also perfect; my daughter and I had plenty of space. As soon as we checked in, we added the housekeeper, Tudou (Potato), on WeChat. He was incredibly responsible, checking in daily to see if we needed anything and always answering our questions – really great! While swimming isn't allowed in Haitang Bay, the hotel has sectioned off a small area where you can go into the water. It was quite hot and sunny during our stay, so we only went swimming or to the beach in the evenings. Overall, it was a good experience. I hope to visit the seaside in winter sometime; it's always so hot when I come!

The hotel staff were also incredibly helpful, especially Josie. She contacted us even before check-in. At the time, we had to cancel our original Raffles and sea excursion plans due to bad weather, which really dampened our travel spirits. But after booking this hotel, we were quickly contacted by staff, and honestly, that outreach was quite comforting, haha. In the end, our stay didn't disappoint much. The breakfast rivals that of Sunshine One – the Hou'an noodles and steak were both delicious!!

The moment I stepped out of the car, they greeted me by my full name. We were whisked away by buggy straight to our villa for check-in. When checking out, I simply messaged our butler on WeChat to arrange a buggy for our luggage, and before the buggy even arrived, my deposit was already refunded – so generous! I'm easily won over by these little details. [blush] Knowing we had a late flight, they even granted us a late check-out. Special thanks to the butler team: Jacky, Jason, Gavin, Lee, and Eason. They made our two-day stay incredibly comfortable. The location is superb. Coral Bay is beautiful on a sunny day. The entire beach is covered in coral, which my child loved collecting. You can go tide pooling at low tide and snorkeling at high tide. Initially, an older hotel like this, which typically wouldn't offer great value for money, wasn't on my radar. But my husband wanted to stay, and I was worried that the basic rooms might be old and not well-maintained. Then I saw a deal for an entry-level two-bedroom villa that seemed quite reasonable, so I booked it. Before arrival, the butler contacted me to ask about any requests. I mentioned I liked sea views and a good location, and that it was my child's birthday, so a small decoration would be nice. They upgraded us directly to the top-tier Coral Bay full sea view villa! My superficial self found it hard to be objective after that, haha. Breakfast was decent. It closes at 11 AM, and even arriving at 10:30 AM, there was still a short queue – this was probably the only minor drawback. For dinner, we ate at The Corner, one of the hotel's restaurants. We ordered a set menu for two, and the chef came to inquire about our preferences. We mentioned the steak was a little dry, and without hesitation, they immediately prepared another excellent ribeye. I won't go into the design, facilities, or public areas here, as you can easily find all that information online. What I really want to talk about today is the service. From the moment I arrived, and throughout my numerous excursions and returns, whether by car or on foot, every concierge I encountered greeted me with a genuine smile and a warm welcome. Before my car even pulled into the drop-off area, they were already there, ready to open the door for me. From the ground floor to the 14th floor, and up to the front desk, I was guided every step of the way by colleagues who were enthusiastic and informative. I know it's a busy summer, and I can only imagine the hard work involved, but everyone managed to hide any signs of fatigue. You are truly professional. Breakfast staff, bartenders, and poolside colleagues were all incredibly observant. A glance or a raised hand, and they seemed to instantly know what guests needed. That’s true skill. Some might think this is standard for a luxury hotel, but as we all know, many brands have been cutting back in recent years, both on amenities and service. Basic service might still be there, but truly warm and personalized service is becoming rare. Warm service deserves to be recognized. A special thank you to Nancy, the duty manager on the afternoon of July 7th (apologies for not getting your full name at the time), and Eda from Guest Relations. This is my go-to hotel! I stay at the Renaissance for a few days almost every time I visit Sanya. This year, I've already been here three times because the value for money is just unbeatable. The rooms are spacious and have all the basic amenities. We travel with a baby, so we never turn on the TV, which is why some people complain about the old TVs, but it doesn't bother us. Sometimes, when we don't feel like going down for a swim, the bathtub is perfect for a soak. The hotel is a bit old, and some rooms might have a slight smell; if that happens, just tell the front desk and they'll switch your room. For this price and this ocean view, what more could you ask for? You don't have to deal with the crowds like at other hotels in Haitang Bay, and there's no competition when collecting shells. Plus, there are no windbreaks, so the ocean view is unobstructed and lovely, unlike in Haitang Bay where the windbreaks really spoil the scenery. A few days ago, I stayed in Dadonghai, and it was noisy outside even at 2 AM. Haitang Bay is much quieter, perfect for relaxing and letting the kids play. The kids' club is just right for a three-year-old; my child never wants to leave! Compared to other hotels I've stayed at in Sanya, the Renaissance's breakfast is excellent, even better than hotels that cost one or two times more. There are a lot of negative reviews online, and I actually hope there are more, otherwise, if the prices go up, it won't be such a good deal. My only wish is that they'd upgrade the hairdryer; it's so weak and takes forever to dry my hair.

There are so many negative reviews about Tianyu online, but I couldn't resist trying it, and I'm really glad I did! Overall, I'm very satisfied. It's not as bad as some reviews make it out to be, and it's perfect for families with kids. You don't even need to leave the hotel; there's more than enough to keep the children entertained. The hotel offers a ton of kids' activities, many of which weren't available during our last visit. The kids could play from morning till night – there just wasn't enough time! The hotel grounds are huge, with extensive tree coverage, which is absolutely fantastic! We stayed in Block 2, and it was much better than I expected. While it might be a bit older, the facilities are very well-maintained. Our room was spotlessly clean and didn't have any strange odors. The washing machine was incredibly practical; with kids changing outfits multiple times a day, it was a lifesaver! We even ate all our meals at the hotel. There are several restaurants with a wide variety of dishes. Dinner was delicious, and I especially loved the coconut chicken hotpot at Coconut Garden! Since we visited during the summer, we got complimentary access to the mini-train and climbing frame. Staying for two consecutive nights also included a bubble party. Hotel was located in a convenient area, we could walk to the beach and didi to malls and other places were quite affordable. The hotel is quite old so it’s abit run down. Mattress is very hard. Cleanliness of the room is not very good too, we saw a cockroach in our bathroom on the first day … and there are stains on the tables / bathroom area. The staff were nice and friendly though. Facilities wise we only used the gym which was very small old and equipment was faulty. But the staff did say we can go to the opposite hotel for a better gym. Overall I would say location is the best aspect of this hotel.

The public areas aren't huge but they have everything you need, and the pool is absolutely massive, which is a huge plus! My kids had a fantastic time these past two days.
