✈️ 马来西亚人去海南岛方便吗？
老实说，这一 part 我原本最担心，结果实际去了一趟之后，我会讲一句：比我想象中简单很多。
首先是✈️航班，从吉隆坡直飞海南岛（通常是三亚或海口）其实蛮多选择的，飞行时间大概 3 到 4 个小时左右，比你飞去日本、韩国轻松很多。对我们来说，很像飞去泰国或越南那种感觉，完全不会累到怀疑人生 😂
然后是🛂入境这块，现在去海南岛对马来西亚人很友好（很多时候是免签或手续很简单，出发前查一下最新政策就好）。我当时过关也蛮顺的，没有那种很复杂或卡很久的情况，这点真的加分。
再来是🗣️语言，这个完全不用担心。海南岛基本上都是华人，如果你会一点中文，沟通是完全没问题的；就算英文，其实在酒店或旅游区也都 OK。对比去一些完全语言不通的国家，这里真的轻松很多。

🏝️ 海南岛有什么好玩？（真实体验）
如果你问我海南岛“是不是很多景点要跑”，我的答案是：不算爆炸多，但每一个都很有代表性，而且风格很不一样。 重点是你不用赶行程，慢慢玩反而更舒服。
🌊 蜈支洲岛｜浮潜 + 玻璃海体验
这个基本是很多人来海南一定会去的地方。我自己觉得最加分的是海水颜色，真的是那种渐层蓝，天气好的时候很像滤镜开到最大😆
可以玩浮潜、水上活动，也可以不玩项目，就单纯坐在海边看海，其实已经很舒服了。
🏖️ 亚龙湾｜纯看海放空天花板
亚龙湾比较适合“什么都不想做”的那种度假状态。沙滩很长很干净，海边酒店也很多。
我那天基本就是：走去海边 → 坐一下 → 回酒店泳池 → 再回海边，循环一整天。
👉 简单讲就是：来这里不用安排太多，发呆就是重点。
🛕 南山寺｜安静又有文化感的祈福地
如果你一直在海边，其实可以来南山寺换个节奏。这里整体氛围很安静，有很大的观音像，很多人会来祈福或走一走。
🍃 跟海边那种“放松感”不一样，这里是比较“静下来”的感觉。
🎢 亚特兰蒂斯水世界｜刺激又好玩的水上乐园
这个就比较偏玩乐型了，很适合年轻人或家庭。里面有很多滑水道、水上设施，还有一些比较刺激的项目。
🏄 如果你觉得一直看海有点单调，这里可以直接切换成“玩疯模式”。

我很推荐大家去到海南岛一定要选海景酒店来住！因为像我那时一进房间最明显的感觉就是：窗外直接看到海 + 有阳台 + 早上阳光打进来真的很舒服。那一刻真的会有在充电的感觉，而且这种感觉不是那种城市酒店可以给到的🥰。
至于区域的话，我推荐住海棠湾或亚龙湾，因为那里很多酒店是直接靠海的，有私人沙滩或无边泳池。晚上坐在泳池边看海风吹，其实真的有马尔代夫的感觉，尤其是天气好的时候🌤️ 不过也要讲实话一点⚠️ 这里不是马尔代夫那种“岛上只有酒店+完全隔绝”的感觉。海南岛还是有城市感的，有车、有商场、有很多人，所以它的感觉更像是：“海岛度假 + 方便生活”混合型😎
但我觉得重点来了💡
它赢的地方是“性价比”。同样海景房，在马尔代夫可能是完全不同价位，但在海南岛，你是有机会用比较合理的价格住到不错的海景酒店。

I originally only booked for two days, but I extended my stay for another two because it was so great. The service was fantastic, and they paid close attention to cleanliness; the supervisor even came to check when the cleaning staff was tidying up. The details were truly heartwarming. For example, they knew I had a 5-year-old, and when we entered the room, we found children's bathrobes already there. (Famous parent-child resorts in Sanya Bay typically require you to request them to send over kids' items later). While there aren't a ton of recreational facilities, they were more than enough for a 3-5 year old. The ball pit in the kids' club alone kept my child entertained for an hour. The seafood buffet dinner offers incredible value, featuring a rich iced seafood station with very fresh prawns, squid, and shellfish, plus live-steamed oysters and piping-hot seafood congee. The biggest pleasant surprise was the hotel's Peking duck restaurant (reservation required in advance). The duck is sliced right at the table with a great sense of ceremony—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and absolutely divine!

During our two-week trip across China, staying at Grand Mercure Sanya Yalong Bay was by far the best experience!
First of all, the international vibe here is wonderful. Guests from all over the world - Russians, Europeans, Arabs, and Chinese travelers - coexist harmoniously in a very welcoming atmosphere.
Another massive advantage is how seamless they make the stay for international tourists.

The hotel amenities are top-notch:

I previously stayed at the InterContinental next door, and it felt like I was walking 10,000 steps every day. This time, I switched to the Luhuitou Resort Hotel next door, and the layout is so much more reasonable – you don't have to walk far to get anywhere. The beach is right outside the hotel. Even though the hotel has been rebranded after all these years, I have to say, the hardware is still well-maintained! The staff were also super great. On my first day, I accidentally fell down the steps at the spa. The young ladies helped me out, giving me a massage and even some medicated patches. I'm so grateful to everyone! I definitely won't be doing other things while walking anymore! I went to the spa twice in a row, and the Thai masseuses had excellent techniques! This hotel was originally just a one-night stopover, but the overall facilities, lounge, and room type turned out to be a pleasant surprise. In China, you probably won't find a JW Marriott at this price again.
The hotel is located on a rocky beach in Dadonghai, without sand, but offering a different experience: mudflats foraging and swimming in the sea (there's a recessed, shallow area on the rocky beach in front of the hotel that's safer at low tide). The overall sea view isn't bad at all; one side offers a view of the curved Dadonghai beach, while the other faces the lighthouse.
The hotel facilities are quite comprehensive, with a long family pool and a shallow children's pool. Armbands and full-body swimming life jackets are provided free of charge, and there are even cylindrical holders for shoes. There are numerous lifeguards, strategically placed so that every blind spot of one lifeguard is covered by another. This is completely different from the setup at other five-star hotels in Sanya, and the pool closes at 10 PM, which received unanimous praise from my family. The outdoor open-air children's playground is similar; for younger children, the playground staff will even follow behind to supervise, truly demonstrating JW's high standards.
We booked an executive sea-view room in the East Wing, a room type that directly faces the sunrise over Rabbit Tail Ridge. Plus, it has a huge balcony, instantly eliminating any feeling of a small room.
Since we only stayed for one day, we couldn't experience many of the dining options. However, seeing the hotel selling egg pancakes for 15 RMB and refreshing Qingshubiang for 20 RMB, I immediately felt that the prices were accessible to the general public. The executive lounge's food could only be described as average Marriott quality (I suspect this might be due to the hotel's price point), but it's one of the few resort hotels that even has an executive lounge. The breakfast experience was excellent, with stewed soups, JW noodles, numerous egg preparations, fermented grain vinegar, sour noodles, Hou'an noodles, and various fresh juices. Among the three hotels we stayed at in Sanya, this was the lowest-priced hotel, yet it had the highest breakfast standards.
The service was excellent overall. Whether it was the lounge attendant helping us with a last-minute room change (and getting us a room with a large balcony), or the front desk staff running out to find the mini-train because my child wanted to ride it when it was almost closing time, or the proactive luggage service and reminders from our butler Una, it all truly met the high standards of a luxury five-star hotel!
Some suggestions:
1. The open space on the large balcony could really benefit from some decorations and lounge chairs; I think it would enhance the resort feel.
2. Stronger signage is needed from the East Wing to the West Wing breakfast area. It's quite hard to find since you have to take an elevator.
Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. Aside from the lack of a sandy beach, this is a high-standard, high-value-for-money resort hotel!DariSEK 710

After reading many reviews, I chose this hotel, and my overall experience was excellent. The front desk staff, other employees, and the concierge were all warm, thoughtful, and incredibly responsive to every request. The hotel is clean and tidy, the bedding is comfortable, and the breakfast spread is rich. It's also convenient to order food delivery. The front desk gave me a high-floor room with a fantastic view; I could see the sea right from the window. On a clear day, I could even catch a stunning sunset from the balcony. Evening strolls by the sea were lovely, with the sea breeze and the sound of the waves being very therapeutic. This time, I brought my family to Sanya Yalong Bay for a vacation and ultimately chose to stay at the Pullman Sanya Yalong Bay Villas & Resort. The biggest surprise throughout the entire trip came from the housekeeping service. I absolutely must write a detailed review to commend these dedicated housekeeping staff.
The hotel as a whole has a Southeast Asian tropical garden style, surrounded by large areas of lush greenery. The standalone villas come with private hot spring pools, offering great privacy. You can feel the sea breeze and greenery of Sanya right in your own courtyard, creating an incredible atmosphere. The villa space is ample, with clearly defined areas for the living room, bedroom, and separate bathrooms. A large soaking tub, outdoor shower, and courtyard loungers are all available, making it perfect for a family relaxing holiday. The cleanliness and service of the room were definite highlights of this stay.
The housekeeping staff were meticulous and professional. Every day when they came to clean the room, they would gently knock to confirm, respecting our rest time. While cleaning, they not only wiped the floors, surfaces, and bathrooms spotlessly clean but also paid attention to corners and crevices. The bathroom glass and sink were free of water marks, the toilet and shower area were clean and odorless, and the bedding was neatly replaced with pillows tidily arranged. Our personal luggage, electronic products, and children's toys, which were left casually in the room, were carefully organized without being arbitrarily moved by the cleaners, protecting guests' belongings – this was particularly reassuring. After cleaning each day, the housekeeping staff would thoughtfully arrange towels into cute elephant and swan shapes on the bedside, bringing a lot of joy to the children.
During our stay, we occasionally needed extra mineral water and children's toiletries. After contacting housekeeping, the response was swift, and items were delivered to our room shortly after, with a gentle and polite attitude. One evening, when there were quite a few mosquitoes in the room, we contacted housekeeping, and staff quickly brought mosquito repellent and kindly reminded us to close the courtyard door to prevent mosquitoes from entering the room. Their thoughtfulness was evident everywhere. For several days, the room remained fresh and clean. Even when we went out for the day and brought back sand and beach items, the housekeeping staff meticulously cleaned the sand particles from the courtyard and room the next day, keeping the entire villa spotless. The area around the villa's pool was also cleaned, with fallen leaves and debris promptly cleared, ensuring the courtyard environment remained neat and comfortable.
The housekeeping staff always greeted guests with a smile and sincere demeanor, without any perfunctoriness. You could tell the housekeeping team was professionally trained and dedicated to every room and every guest. Although some hotel facilities showed their age, the room maintenance was excellent. The housekeeping team consistently carried out daily upkeep and promptly reported any equipment issues to ensure guests' comfort as much as possible. It is precisely the diligent cleaning and thoughtful service of the housekeeping staff, day in and day out, that made the entire stay warm and pleasant. When on vacation, a clean and safe room is fundamental, and the Pullman housekeeping team exceeded expectations.
The hotel's amenities are also very good. The in-park buggies were available on demand, shuttle services made travel convenient, and breakfast offered a rich variety. The distance to Yalong Bay Beach was not far. Our family enjoyed relaxing in the villa's courtyard and soaking in the private pool, making for a truly vacation-like experience.
A big thank you to all the housekeeping staff for their patient, meticulous, and thoughtful service. They created a comfortable and safe living environment for us with their professionalism and dedication. The housekeeping service at Pullman Yalong Bay is highly commendable, and I strongly recommend it to anyone vacationing in Sanya. On National Day, I went on a trip with my family for a few days. We chose this hotel because it's convenient for visiting Xidao Island. The hotel shuttle took us there at 9 AM. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the balcony in our room offered a view of the sunset. The staff at Meiyue were very helpful and answered all our questions, offering good suggestions. It was so relaxing to lie on the balcony, sip tea I'd brewed myself, and watch the sea and boats traveling to and from Xidao Island. In the evening, we walked to Coconut Dream Corridor, and at night, we fell asleep to the sound of the waves – absolutely delightful. The hotel's location is excellent, just across the street from Coconut Dream Corridor, and it's a great spot for photos. We had dinner at the hotel's Chinese restaurant; the coconut chicken was quite good and tasty. Stepping into the hotel's public areas, I immediately felt like I'd been transported to Southeast Asia. The wooden ceilings and decor, combined with the extensive coconut groves outside, really set the mood.
Since I was on a solo vacation and love the ocean, I chose a sea-view room. On arrival, the hotel management kindly allowed me an early check-in and even upgraded my room for free. There was also a dedicated butler service. Once in the room, the view was truly expansive. The hotel is super close to Coconut Dream Corridor, just a few minutes' walk away, and also very convenient for the airport, only about fifteen minutes, which is great for travelers on a tight schedule.
During my stay, I dined at the Chinese restaurant on the first floor. I have to highly recommend their 'Sichuan boiled beef' – it was genuinely delicious, with that authentic Sichuan spicy and numbing flavor. I do wish they would consider adding some single-person seating areas to make dining more comfortable.
Finally, at check-out, the front desk attendant even gave me a small bear plushie. Next time, when I have more time, I'll definitely be back many more times!DariSEK 824

This hotel experience exceeded our expectations. The location is a major plus, just a 3-minute walk to Dadonghai Beach, directly opposite Dadonghai Sanya Bay. The hotel has its own swimming pool, and the service was excellent. Staff members 6, 10, and 12 were very attentive and even helped us with a free upgrade to a deluxe sea view room.
Since our return flight was late, the hotel also granted us a late check-out. The staff, overall, demonstrated a strong service-oriented mindset. The breakfast quality was also good.
Additionally, the complimentary travel photoshoot was a pleasant surprise. The photographer was punctual, gave excellent posing instructions, and had a rich variety of shooting ideas, designing many couple poses with great interaction. There were plenty of raw photos, and the final results were fantastic! The color grading was natural! Super beautiful! The photo selector was also very patient!

Our family trip to Sanya this time led us to book the Sheraton Sanya Yalong Bay Resort, which we reserved about two months in advance. It was a non-cancellable booking, and after comparing many hotels, we ultimately chose the Sheraton. It turns out, from the moment we checked in, everything exceeded our expectations! First, the front desk lady proactively upgraded us to a lake view room for free, offering warm and thoughtful service. We traveled as a group of three adults and one toddler (two seniors over 60 and a 16-month-old), so the hotel needed to cater to both the elderly and the little one.
We were torn between a few hotels in Haitang Bay at the time: Holiday Inn Resort, InterContinental, and Shangri-La. We ultimately chose Shangri-La for the following reasons:
1. The Executive Lounge offers hot dishes in the evening, which is very convenient. It saved us the trouble of taking the elderly and the baby out to hunt for food or figuring out where to eat.
2. Room type: The sofa in the Shangri-La king room can be folded out into a 1.5-meter double bed, which was a perfect fit for our group composition.
3. Since our child is too young, most activities at Holiday Inn Resort wouldn't suit him anyway, and the little train alone is enough. The little train at Shangri-La is also free, taking about 15 minutes for a full loop, which was very comfortable.
4. We didn't choose the InterContinental because there was construction going on at nearby hotels, and we heard their executive lounge wasn't as good as Shangri-La's.
Check-in Experience:
Before our arrival, the hotel called us, and the butler added me on WeChat. Based on my requests, the room was already set up with a baby bathtub, welcome fruits, and the humidifier was turned on. This was genuinely great 👍. I arrived at the hotel at 5 PM, checked in, handed my luggage tags to the front desk, and went out for dinner. Two hours later, when we returned to the room, our luggage hadn't arrived yet. After reporting this to the butler, we were told the front desk forgot. A huge thumbs-down for this! Later, the butler offered a remedy: a little monkey toy for the child and two sets of L'Occitane samples (expiring in November 2026). Honestly, it would've been better to give nothing.
Room:
I booked an ocean-front room, and the view was truly fantastic. We stayed on the 5th floor; I bet the 7th floor would be even more amazing. The AC made occasional noises, but since it wasn't constant, we decided to just bear with it and didn't bother calling maintenance.
Regarding room upgrades: We stayed during the National Day golden week, so we got nothing. Also, I had read online that the executive lounge access for two adults and two kids could be switched to cover three adults, but they wouldn't do it for us, claiming it wasn't allowed during the National Day holiday ❌. I couldn't help feeling discriminated against, and in the end, we still had to pay extra. Even though the butler had added a note to our profile, every time we entered the lounge, the staff would still question us. I wonder if anyone else has had this experience. I paid out of pocket and didn't want my parents to find out, so I was frantically winking at the staff, but they just kept talking loudly anyway. So speechless!
Dining:
We always had breakfast at the Executive Lounge instead of the main restaurant, and it was totally sufficient. The various freshly cooked congees were delicious, which easily solved the baby food issue. Usually, we had a late breakfast, skipped lunch, and then had dinner at 5 PM. The Executive Lounge was completely adequate! Don't worry about whether the food is gourmet; just focus on being well-fed.
Activities:
We just hung out at the hotel, rode the little train, and drove the go-karts. Swimming during the day wasn't a problem despite the sun, thanks to the sunshades. Unlike the Holiday Inn, the go-karts here don't force you to wear a helmet. Our toddler hates helmets, but he still got to ride the go-karts. They are very slow, safe, and not crowded at all.
Service:
Proactive service awareness is weak. When we were playing at the beach, it started raining. Grandma went back to the hotel to get umbrellas and asked the front desk. The staff insisted she go upstairs to get them, claiming they were kept on the upper floor. In the end, there was only one umbrella brought out for three adults and a toddler. Except for the child, the rest of us got completely soaked. There were clearly umbrellas right there at the front desk. Even if scanning a QR code is required, how hard is it to teach an elderly person how to do it?

I've been coming to the InterContinental Sanya Haitang Bay Resort for six consecutive years, and I've always been satisfied. Sanya has several bays, but Dadonghai best fits the image of a clear, gradually deepening ocean with sandy beaches and coconut trees.
Yalong Bay beach isn't always accessible, and Haitang Bay is more suitable for duty-free shopping. Dadonghai is close to the city center and the airport, and the road to the airport is relatively easy to navigate, being within the city.
Dadonghai has corals, making it suitable for beachcombing, snorkeling, and some friends were also paddleboarding there.
Let's talk about the hotel. The InterContinental's design is very thoughtful. It won a gold award for hotel architecture back in the day, drawing inspiration from local ethnic minority handicrafts and incorporating many aesthetic elements of traditional Chinese architecture, such as borrowed scenery, symmetry, carved landscapes, and the use of water features. The element of water is also extensively used in other InterContinental hotels. Green landscaping is interspersed throughout the hotel, allowing guests to relax and enjoy their vacation. I've stayed at other hotels in Sanya, where some, to accommodate more rooms, make guests walk a lot without any scenic views along the way. The InterContinental, however, offers a new delightful view with every step.
This time, booking through Trip.com, I had a butler, Annie, who communicated with me via WeChat throughout my stay. This is an exclusive Trip.com service. The butler was professional and answered all my questions. Sometimes she'd reply even at 10 PM, which made me feel a bit embarrassed.
This stay was in a one-bedroom villa, which offers unbeatable value for money. It has a small courtyard, a private plunge pool, and you can see the ocean right from your bed. The Executive Lounge is also free to use and offers breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner. Breakfast isn't crowded, with a separate menu. The dishes aren't as extensive as the Mediterranean restaurant, but it's good enough for breakfast. The Executive Lounge's afternoon tea includes sandwiches, burgers, fruits, cakes, soft drinks, and Qingbuliang (a local dessert). The Executive Lounge is right by the sea, with both indoor and outdoor seating, all very comfortable. Dinner includes alcoholic beverages, Chinese and Western salads, hot Chinese and Western dishes, noodles, and cakes, satisfying dinner needs with healthy and delicious options, as expected from a good hotel.
Thanks to the housekeeping staff, Ms. Guo Junfang, for her warm service every day. When she saw the pool was dirty, she immediately contacted customer service to have it cleaned.
All the hotel staff are excellent, including the electricians, air-conditioning repair personnel, the gentlemen and ladies in white uniforms at the Executive Lounge, and the gentlemen and ladies in blue uniforms at the Executive Lounge, as well as the chefs. They are all very good, highly professional, and diligent.
Due to many foreign guests, the hotel has a good number of international staff. The service has improved compared to two years ago.
Regarding check-in wait times, I arrived at 12 PM, had lunch, and waited for 40 minutes before checking in. During the wait, I was given drink vouchers. The hotel usually has a 12 PM check-out time, and rooms require thorough cleaning afterward. Some friends shouldn't be unhappy about this; just enjoy the beautiful scenery and walk around a bit.

2. **Service:** The service was quite attentive. Upon arrival, they actively helped with luggage, attached luggage tags, and even delivered it to the room. We checked in first, and then received a call around 4 PM to collect the room key. Our requests for a high-floor, quiet room were all met. After showering, if it was particularly humid, they would even come to wipe away the water. Room service was prompt. There was a laundry deal where you could fill a bag for 488 yuan, with no limit on the number of items. We washed 19 items once and 13 another time, which was very convenient.
3. **Butler Service:** We booked through Trip.com, and a butler contacted us on the same day. We could directly contact them with any inquiries.
4. **Dining:** The breakfast selection was rich, with a few dishes changing daily. Our family's favorites were the freshly made waffles, seafood fermented lees noodles (with shrimp and small sea cucumber), coconut milk yogurt, and freshly squeezed dragon fruit juice. If you arrived before 8:30 AM, there was no queue for breakfast. The busiest days were October 2nd-4th. Room service orders were delivered quickly. The portion of pasta was generous and not too salty, which was satisfying. The lobby bar had a buy-one-get-one-free offer from 5 PM to 7 PM.
5. **Entertainment:** The sand on the beach was very fine, but there were still some shells. Walking from Tianyu to Marriott Beach, it felt pretty similar, with the western side being slightly better. To the right of Marriott, next to the public beach entrance, there were some traditional beach activities like speedboats and banana boats. Swimming in the sea was within the hotel's designated area. Be mindful of daily tide changes, as the water depth varied each day, and swimming was not allowed after 7 PM. The hotel pools were divided into two main sections. On the beach side, there were upper and lower pools, 1.2 meters deep, with some shallower spots. Watch out for the steps. The water was very clear. Balls and swimming rings were free, while inflatable unicorns and flamingos cost 60 yuan per hour. Next to the tennis court was the children's play area, with an indoor playground, an outdoor water playground (0.5 meters deep), and an adjacent long lap pool (1.2 meters deep, suitable for accompanying adults to swim for a while). There was also a small farm nearby, and the Kuma Paradise had dedicated staff leading daily activities.
6. **Overall:** Extremely satisfied. We had stayed at Hilton and Tianyu before and had average impressions. This time, the experience was excellent. It was very spacious for three people, and the hotel facilities were excellent, with a playground, an infinity pool, and paddleboarding. It truly exceeded our expectations when we arrived. There's also live entertainment, and ordering takeout is very convenient. It's a bit of a walk to the beach; for young children, I'd recommend bringing a stroller and a hip seat. The evenings in September were cool and breezy. If it weren't for another hotel's non-refundable policy, I would have loved to extend our stay for another night.

The location is good as well, with the beach only around a 5-minute walk away. However, Donghai Beach was closed during my visit, so I ended up going to other nearby beaches instead.
There are a few areas where the hotel could improve. It felt very geared towards Russian tourists, and at times it seemed like they were prioritised more than others (I travelled from the UK). Also, while the pool itself was lovely, the lifeguards were not very friendly and were often sitting around smoking or on their phones, which didn’t give the best impression.
The hotel is also missing a great opportunity with the bar area in the middle of the pool, which wasn’t being used at all. It would be a perfect spot to serve drinks and cocktails and really elevate the experience.

It was raining on our first day of arrival, but the next day brought brilliant sunshine. We took the coral boat out to sea; the blue ocean and clear skies made for incredible photo backdrops, and we captured so many gorgeous pictures. We also happened to catch the hotel's signature welcome ceremony and went to check it out. It was something regular folks rarely get to see—such a unique experience! My child was utterly obsessed with the underwater observatory, where we could view the coral and darting little fish without even getting into the water.
The biggest surprise was that our butler noticed it was our wedding anniversary and thoughtfully prepared a heart-shaped cake, making the occasion feel so special! Season was prompt and attentive, striking the absolute right balance—always responsive to our requests without ever being intrusive. The family-friendly amenities are top-notch, with a fully equipped kids' club that makes traveling with a child a breeze, and the private beach offers a peaceful and relaxing environment. I've stayed at their properties in Hong Kong, Guangzhou, and Shanghai before and have always had a great impression. This stay was particularly satisfying, thanks to the warm service from Guest Relations Selzora. The Mangrove Tree Resort in Haitang Bay has long been my unwavering vacation retreat, perfectly aligning with all my aspirations for a coastal getaway. Year after year, I return with a longing heart.
I’ve always been captivated by the 180° Deluxe Seaview Room, with its expansive balcony directly facing the vast South China Sea. Leaning on the railing, I take in the boundless blue sea and sky, watching the clouds drift and the tides ebb and flow. In past stays, I did leave some minor suggestions for improvement. Returning this time, I was delighted to see the hotel has diligently iterated and enhanced its services, with numerous details improved, showcasing a sincere commitment to guest satisfaction. The only minor imperfections this stay were the weak air conditioning in the room and a malfunctioning electric screen. I hope the housekeeping and engineering departments can strengthen their coordinated inspections and daily equipment maintenance to further refine the living experience.
This year’s entire trip was exceptionally memorable, and I extend my heartfelt thanks to our butler, 'Juzi Juzi Juzi'. Her service was meticulous and attentive, with highly efficient and timely responses. Every request was addressed. Without me even having to ask, she proactively inquired about my itinerary and daily needs, promptly arranging room cleaning, replenishing beverages, and even thoughtfully providing fruit plates and desserts. When my relatives and friends later checked into the same type of seaview room, they were also handled by the butler throughout their stay. She arranged high-floor rooms with large balconies offering sea views and even provided upgrades. This has been the most outstanding butler service I've experienced in my many years of staying at the Mangrove Tree Resort. I sincerely hope the hotel can cultivate more such excellent service staff.
I also want to thank the Trip.com butler who helped me communicate and implement my special check-in requests in advance. Upon arrival, I didn't have to wait in line, and the coveted sea-view room had already been perfectly reserved for me. I used the VIP channel for check-in, and the entire process was calm and smooth. My initial room was upgraded to the 15th floor, and later, due to the air conditioning issue, the butler thoughtfully coordinated a move to the executive floor on the 23rd floor. The service provided by 'Juzi Juzi Juzi' this year was truly flawless.
As night falls, fireworks bloom in the sky, with buildings and the heavens reflecting each other, creating a spectacular and dazzling scene. Haitang Bay boasts a cluster of high-end hotels, but in my heart, the Mangrove Tree Resort will always hold an irreplaceable position. Playing in the waves and digging in the sand was also a huge hit every day.

This was definitely the highlight of our trip! I'd heard good things about the Grand Hyatt's food before coming, and it certainly didn't disappoint. The cold cuts, tropical fresh fruits, baked pastries, and traditional cooling desserts were all visibly high quality. The à la carte hot food selection was exceptionally rich, featuring lobster spaghetti, seafood fermented rice noodles, king crab wonton noodles, seafood congee, Australian steak shakshuka, Wagyu muffins… The variety was dazzling, and the presentation was exquisite. Delicious and beautiful – truly a feast for both the eyes and the palate!

Our butler, Diana, was incredibly responsive and attentive from before check-in until after we left. She replied to messages instantly and provided wonderful emotional support. Diana consistently reminded us to enjoy all the available benefits, leaving our bellies constantly full and happy.
🗺️ Our five-day, four-night journey quickly came to an end. Traveling with a toddler just over a year old, while compromising on the 'breadth' of our travels, certainly multiplied our happiness.

1. The hotel's public areas are small with no beach loungers. The seating area seems to be an outsourced bar.
2. The flip-flops provided in the room vary wildly in quality; the bad ones are terrible and hurt your feet.
3. The hotel breakfast is quite mediocre with limited options. If you go at 10:00 AM, you'll have to queue for at least 20 minutes.
4. We tried two restaurants. The first was a fisherman's Zhaopo vinegar hotpot, costing over 500 RMB per person—very average, not as good as the external chain restaurant Taiqiong. The second was 'Zhi', a Western restaurant where the food was also mediocre; the only good thing was the ham (which only requires knife skills), costing 1000+ RMB per person.
5. The cocktails at the 13th-floor bar were very mediocrely mixed.
6. During the National Day holiday, we didn't see the hotel's mini train (little white dragon) and had to walk everywhere.
7. The setup in picture 2 was hired externally at our own expense. You can buy a bottle of wine from the restaurant, and then you won't be charged a corkage fee for bringing your own.

This time I came to Sanya Jiyang District for a business trip. I accidentally chose the Xinxing Garden Hotel at 451 Hedong Road. I stayed in the mentality of ”convenient old hotel”, but I accidentally got a full surprise. From stepping into the hotel to checking in, to pushing the door of the warm and romantic big bed room on the 12th floor, every detail makes this short stay experience particularly pleasant, and I can't help but want to share this good feeling with more friends who plan to travel or travel to Sanya.
Let me talk about the location of the hotel, it is simply “treasure-level” convenience. It is close to the youth song business district and only a 5-minute walk away. It is too friendly for people like me who need to deal with work efficiently and want to go shopping and taste local food in their leisure time. After busy work during the day, you can find various specialty restaurants in the business district at night, from Hainan's local Qingbuliang, Wenchang chicken, to Sichuan-Xiang flavor, Western-style simple meals, rich and varied choices; After dinner, you can buy some fruit, snacks in the supermarket in the mall, or stroll around the small shops along the street, so you don’t have to worry about “eat and shop far away.” Moreover, it is very convenient to go to other attractions in Sanya from the hotel. There is a bus stop at the door. It is also easy to take a taxi. The advantages of the location directly fill the happiness of staying.
What surprised me was that this 20-year-old hotel was completely renovated two months ago. I thought that the “20-year old store” might have some old feelings, such as yellowing of the walls and aging of the facilities, but the actual experience is completely the opposite the whole hotel has a “new vitality.” Especially the warm and romantic big bed room on the 12th floor I stayed in was moved by the ”freshness” as soon as I entered the door. The decoration style in the room is simple and warm. The light-colored wall is matched with soft carpets. The warm yellow lights are sprinkled down, and the fatigue of the journey is instantly dispersed.
The most praiseworthy thing is the details of the room, and you can feel the intentions after renovation everywhere. The bedding is brand new, the white sheets are flat and clean, there is no trace of wrinkles, and the cover is soft and comfortable, as if at home; The height of the pillow is just right. Whether it is side sleep or back sleep, it can support the neck well. It is especially sweet to sleep overnight. The toilet is even brighter. The tiles, sinks, and toilets are all new. The whole space is clean and bright, and there is no smell. The hot water supply is particularly timely. The faucet can quickly produce hot water. Kids animation is great! My daughters were busy all day long going from one playground to another.
We liked the pools, food and the design.
I would add spoons, forks, knives and some plates in the rooms. No shower at the beach was a problem. And difficulty to find a sunbed. Staying at the beach under the sun without having a sunbed and an umbrella is not nice for children. I would add more sunbeds for sure!

Just checked out of Zone 1 of the Sanya Horizon Resort & Spa after a 2-night stay with my 9-year-old. On the way home, my kid was still asking, 'Can we stay for 4 nights next time?' As a family traveling with an older child, this experience truly exceeded our expectations, so I just have to leave a glowing review.
We booked the 'Fresh Full Ocean View 2-Bedroom Suite' in Zone 1. The room has a direct, dead-on ocean view! Pushing open the balcony door, the entire sea unfolds right before your eyes. The 2-bedroom layout is so family-friendly for a party of three—the child gets their own little room, and the adults can actually get some proper rest. The room was clean and spotless; the floors were clean enough to walk on barefoot, the bedding was crisp and dry, and the bathroom had no weird smells. It was cleaned thoroughly every day, giving us total peace of mind. 🦴
The resort's environment and cleanliness are faultless. The landscaping is neatly trimmed, and the pathways, beach, and poolside areas are all kept immaculate, with staff constantly cleaning up. Special shoutout to the water park in Zone 2! While the pool in Zone 1 is already huge and crystal clear, Zone 2 is basically a paradise for older kids. The lazy river is fantastic for floating; just rent an inner tube and drift leisurely with the current. My child went round and round, laughing non-stop. The water slides are even more thrilling—at 9 years old, kids love a challenge, and zooming down into the water made them run right back to the queue, doing it a dozen times and still wanting more. The biggest surprise was the 4-meter diving platform in Zone 2. At first, my kid's legs were shaking just standing up there, but the lifeguards patiently encouraged them. After jumping once, they were completely hooked and kept lining up for more. With proper safety measures in place all around, parents can watch with total peace of mind.
As for dining, the breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of both Chinese and Western options. Even a 9-year-old can easily find things they love, fuel up, and head straight for the pool with fully charged batteries. The service is also worth praising; staff at the front desk, housekeeping, and by the pool were all extremely friendly and quick to respond to any requests.
Our 2-night itinerary was packed: day one was dedicated to the big pool and beach in Zone 1, while day two focused on Zone 2's lazy river, water slides, and diving platform, followed by sand-digging and sunset-watching at the beach in the evening. When checking out, my kid was hugging their swim ring and refused to leave, saying, 'Horizon is even more fun than an amusement park.'
To sum it up: The Ocean View 2-Bedroom Suite in Zone 1 of Horizon Resort & Spa is comfortable, impeccably clean, fully equipped, and boasts great service. Hotel was located in a convenient area, we could walk to the beach and didi to malls and other places were quite affordable.
The hotel is quite old so it’s abit run down. Mattress is very hard. Cleanliness of the room is not very good too, we saw a cockroach in our bathroom on the first day … and there are stains on the tables / bathroom area.
The staff were nice and friendly though. Facilities wise we only used the gym which was very small old and equipment was faulty. But the staff did say we can go to the opposite hotel for a better gym. Overall I would say location is the best aspect of this hotel.DariSEK 320

I absolutely love this room! I highly recommend everyone to come and stay here. I've been procrastinating for a while before finally writing this review. I'm not sure about the peak season prices, but I visited in late August/early September, and the price was around 400+ per night, if I remember correctly. The hotel has direct access to the beach from within, which I personally found to be a much better experience than Coconut Dream Corridor. Plus, there's a swimming pool inside the hotel. They even gave me a free room upgrade, probably because it was off-season and less crowded. There's also a bathtub. The housekeeping service was exceptional, thanks to the two wonderful aunties. We made a mess every day with all our takeout and bubble tea trash, but the aunties would clean it up for us daily. The hotel was so comfortable that we barely even went out... And the room service was incredibly accommodating. I called them three or four times in one night because I hadn't brought all my toiletries. My hair is quite long, so first I asked for extra towels, then another blanket since it was just me and my friend, then conditioner, and finally shampoo. I was quite demanding, but the front desk staff, both the young man and woman, were never impatient, and the maintenance uncle who brought things to our room was also very patient. The hotel's soundproofing is also excellent; it's not noisy at all. Our floor had many families traveling with children, but if I hadn't seen other tourists outside, I wouldn't have known there were so many people here. I super highly recommend this place! Other hotels with a pool and direct beach access (it's not exactly a private beach, but direct access is much better than the crowded public areas, and all my photos were taken there) are much more expensive. I personally feel this place offers excellent value for money. However, one thing to note is that small flying insects are unavoidable in Hainan, so you might encounter some. The front desk upgraded our room upon check-in to a spacious one with a balcony. It wasn't humid at all, the air conditioning worked great, and there wasn't much noise.
