Stayed for two nights and had an absolutely wonderful experience overall! 🌃 **About the View:** The location is unbeatable, with floor-to-ceiling windows directly facing the Huangpu River and the Oriental Pearl Tower. The night view after the lights come on is simply breathtaking; you can lie in bed and watch the bustling Bund, creating an incredibly atmospheric experience. 🏠 **About the Room:** The room is very spacious. Besides a two-seater sofa, it also comes with a lounge chair and a floor lamp, which we perfectly repurposed into a 'summer reading nook' for our child – so practical! The large bathtub in the bathroom was very comfortable for a soak, easing the fatigue from a day of walking around. The exquisite bar cabinet in the room was also very stylish; my child exclaimed, 'This is so fancy!' as soon as we entered, which was both adorable and genuine. 💯 **Special Shout-out to the Service:** Especially to Zhao at the front desk! Upon check-in, she proactively offered snacks to our child and gave us excellent advice, helping us with a discounted upgrade. What touched me most was after we checked out, I accidentally left my sunglasses in a taxi and contacted the driver to send them back to the hotel. This was not the hotel's responsibility, but Zhao didn't hesitate at all. She readily signed for them and mailed them back to me. Such a sense of responsibility and enthusiasm is truly rare and commendable. Next time I'm in Shanghai, this will definitely be my first choice!

When I was choosing a hotel, I fell in love with the room at the Shanghai Club at first sight, and it certainly didn't disappoint. The room was even more beautiful than I imagined, with meticulously designed details everywhere. It felt exquisite and elegant, perfectly matching the hotel's overall style. The hotel's service was also top-notch – professional and just the right amount of warmth, which made me feel very comfortable. If I had to point out one thing, the room might have been a tiny bit damp, but in Shanghai, and in an old building, that's understandable and didn't affect my stay. The breakfast options weren't extensive, but there was enough to eat, and the taste was decent, neither outstanding nor poor. The main draw here was definitely the ambiance. Although I didn't sit at the bar in LongBar, the sofa seating was still an excellent experience. I really enjoyed the 'retro' style of service here. Perhaps because of the typhoon, there didn't seem to be many guests, which gave me the luxurious feeling of having the space almost entirely to myself.

I’ve stayed here for the second time ( first was before Covid lockdown) in January 2020, both times I got an upgrade to the Pearl tower and bund view!!! This time i. May because I needed to be closer to the vfs consulate embassy service for an appointment ( roughly 10 min slow walk) Thank you so much. The room is neat and tidy, and the front desk service is excellent, I called to get toothbrush & toothpaste and they responded in a couple of minutes. The shower is a little worn out but clean and the view out of the bathroom is spectacular. I ordered room service dinner because I am on a diet and the dumplings were so yummy. The hotel is beautiful and smells really good.

We were on the 25th floor, and the view of the river was the best part of the day — morning light on the Huangpu, the skyline stretching out, and at night the Pearl Tower glowing just down the road. It’s quiet up there, real tranquility despite being so close to all the tourist attractions. The comfort carried through everywhere: the indoor pool and jacuzzi were perfect for unwinding, the gym had everything we needed, and the grand lobby is lined with high-end stores if you feel like browsing. But the thing we’ll remember most is the afternoons — tea time in the lobby with a live folk music performance drifting through the space. It turns the whole lobby into something calm and beautiful. Courteous staff, comfortable rooms, and a location that puts you right in the heart of Shanghai. We’ll be back.

Everything about the hotel was great. We got a good room on the 7th floor with a fantastic view of the city center, especially beautiful in the evening when everything lights up. The breakfasts were decent; you could always find something to eat, and it was all quite tasty. Suite guests have the privilege of accessing the Lounge Club on the 17th floor. While the breakfast selection there is a bit more modest than in the main restaurant, it's much less crowded and offers a superb view. In the evening, you can enjoy a good meal from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, with a diverse selection of wine, beer, and spirits. The embankment is only about a 10-minute walk away, very close. Overall, the location is very convenient.

I messaged them on WeChat beforehand to arrange a birthday setup and a personalized room key, and everything was perfectly arranged on the day of check-in. Upon arrival, Angel personally escorted me to the room, explaining the hotel facilities and the surrounding area along the way. Julie even gave me a small lion keychain. The service was impeccable, and they were very accommodating. Breakfast was on the 52nd floor with an amazing view. A foreign lady in a red suit brought a small birthday cake and arranged a window-side sofa seat for me. Enjoying breakfast while overlooking Lujiazui was a wonderful experience. The room faced the Bund directly, offering an unparalleled view. The pool was well-maintained, and I particularly enjoyed the hot spring area. While the hardware might be a bit older, as the saying goes, 'an old Ferrari is still a Ferrari' – the classic charm and quality are definitely there. Overall, it exceeded my expectations, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Shanghai.

They even installed bed rails for the kids, which was very thoughtful. #Breakfast#: A great mix of Chinese and Western options. There were Western choices like pastries, bread, and coffee, alongside Chinese favorites such as steamed buns, 'wowotou' (corn bread), corn, plain congee, millet congee, noodles, vegetables, and eggs. The fruit selection was extensive, and there was juice, milk, and soy milk – a wide and complete variety. #Dinner#: Noodles, wontons, etc. The kids loved it all. We actually gained a few pounds staying here because the food was so good! We ate well, slept well, and felt relaxed and at ease 😄. #Service#: The front desk staff were incredibly warm, attentive, thoughtful, and very professional. I would definitely choose to stay at Mercure Shanghai Yu Garden Bund again. I highly recommend Mercure Shanghai Yu Garden Bund to anyone planning to visit with children~

Upon check-in, the front desk staff was incredibly warm and friendly. They patiently answered all our questions and even escorted us to our room. We had booked a room without breakfast, but the front desk signed us up as Atour members, giving us complimentary breakfast and various member benefits. After check-out, they stored our luggage and even gave us a souvenir. I particularly want to highlight the exceptional service. After checking out and storing our luggage, my child and I went to visit the Oriental Pearl Tower. When we returned to the hotel to pick up our bags, it was pouring rain. I contacted the front desk, and two amazing young men braved the heavy rain to bring our luggage down to await us. Because taxis can't park for long in front of the hotel, our driver had to circle the street. I had my child wait in the car, and I went to get the luggage. One of the young men, despite the heavy rain, helped me look for our taxi along the street in front of the hotel, getting completely soaked in the process. He eventually found the car and loaded our luggage. It was raining so hard that I didn't even get a chance to ask for his name, but the hotel absolutely must commend him! ❤️ I want to express my gratitude once again. 🙏 The Yu Garden attraction is right across the street from the hotel, within a pedestrian area with many snack stalls and shops, making shopping very convenient. Yu Garden subway station is just a few minutes' walk away, offering easy access to transport. The Bund is also only a few minutes' walk. The breakfast is highly recommended, offering a mix of Chinese and Western dishes, including shrimp, which is perfect for someone like me who's trying to eat healthy. Opened in 2025, the facilities are new, featuring smart appliances, automatic toilet flushing, automatic curtain control with a button, and robot delivery services. The hygiene and cleanliness are outstanding. They proactively clean the room, and every time we returned to the hotel, it was spotless. All disposable toiletries were replenished daily. If I ever return to this area of Shanghai in the future, this hotel will be my top choice. I wish all the staff good luck and smooth sailing!

We practically had to put everything on the floor, which was not a great experience. Breakfast was mediocre with limited variety. Honestly, for over 1500, you're mostly paying for the location.

The Fairmont Gold room is very spacious, featuring a separate entry area, a walk-in closet, and a well-appointed bathroom with a wet and dry separation, a vintage bathtub, and double sinks. The bedroom includes a large sofa and a desk, and the overall layout follows an inverted 'S' shape. Both the layout and decorative details show thoughtful design, exuding an old-world artistic charm. This time, I stayed in a room facing Nanjing Road. Through the three bay windows, I could see the bustling crowds on the pedestrian street below, the silhouette of the Peace Hotel's South Tower opposite, and the large clock on the Custom House clock tower in the distance. Almost every corner of the hotel tells a story: the grand corridor and octagonal lobby on the ground floor, the peace dove sculpture made of thousands of glazed tiles, the historic 'Chaplin Staircase' by the east entrance, the European old-money-style Victor Café, the Peace Museum tucked away on the mezzanine floor, and the legendary Jazz Bar hidden within the Jasmine Lounge. Taking the gleaming mosaic-tiled old elevator up to the 9th floor's Cathay Room, the rooftop bar offers panoramic views of the Bund. The Dragon & Phoenix Restaurant is adorned with auspicious dragons and phoenixes and eight blessings, while the Peace Hall, with its long space, high vaulted ceiling, and the legendary spring-loaded teak floor, still whispers tales of its past splendor. Staying in a Gold room includes lounge access. We experienced both the afternoon tea and happy hour, and the food quality was good with a rich selection. The happy hour now also offers hot dinner items; while not as extensive as the Cathay Room buffet, the variety is still considerable. The biggest advantage is the tranquility—during my visit, there were rarely more than two or three tables of guests, allowing for a quiet and relaxing meal. The Gold Lounge's ambiance is excellent, continuing the hotel's Art Deco style with a Shanghai twist. The service staff are professional, proactive, and know how to maintain an appropriate distance. The Jazz Bar was another highlight of this trip. The elderly jazz band, famous for holding a Guinness World Record, is quite well-known. After dinner, we went for a drink and listened to some music. While the performance and the female singer's vocals weren't stunning, the atmosphere was truly unique. Upon entering, the dapper maître d', with slicked-back hair, warmly escorted us to our seats; the bar staff were skillful in recommending drinks; and the handsome bartender’s movements were swift and precise. Watching the white-haired musicians on stage deliver piece after piece, I felt a genuine sense of disorientation, as if time had rewound several decades.

This hotel is really close to the Bund, which makes getting around super convenient. It's also easy to find and not far from the Peace Hotel. The front desk is on the second floor. We originally booked a windowless room, but paid a bit extra to upgrade to a room with a window, and it was totally worth it! The room itself was well-equipped, and since it was raining in Shanghai these past two days, they even had umbrellas ready for us. Having a window was great because we could see the Oriental Pearl Tower light up at night, which was beautiful. Downstairs is Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, with all sorts of delicious food and a lively atmosphere. We also checked out the famous 'Instagrammable' spiral escalator – it only goes up! Plus, there's a chocolate museum downstairs where we learned about cocoa cultivation and how chocolate is made. The hotel's breakfast buffet runs until 10 AM, so there's no rush in the morning. The shampoo and conditioner in the room were from Herborist, which was a nice touch. Transportation is also a breeze with buses and the metro close by. We visited Yu Garden, the Lujiazui 'Three-piece Suit' (iconic skyscrapers), the Disney Flagship Store, the Oriental Pearl Tower, and even took a ferry. Just a small suggestion: it would be great if the partition between the bathroom and the bed could be opaque. Getting up at night without turning on the lights to use the restroom, then coming out and getting a strange fright – even if it's just myself, it was a bit scary! 🤣

I was very satisfied with my stay at this hotel, and I'll definitely choose it again next time I'm in Shanghai. First off, the room size was perfect for two people, and it was spotlessly clean with daily housekeeping and timely replenishment of amenities. The front desk staff and cleaning ladies were all very friendly and accommodating. We arrived early, and they allowed us to check in ahead of time. The weather wasn't great during our stay, but the laundry and drying facilities were very convenient and fast. Ordering takeout was also a breeze; honestly, everything in Shanghai has a queue, and sometimes ordering takeout at the hotel was quicker and tasted just as good as going out to eat. As for transportation, it's very close to the subway station, just across the road, making transfers to places like Disneyland and the Science and Technology Museum super convenient. Plus, the Bund is about a 5-minute walk away. From the nearby ferry terminal, you can take a 2 yuan ferry to Dongchang Road Terminal on the other side, and then it's just a sky bridge walk to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. Regarding noise, with the window open during the day, it was a bit noisy because of the shops below, and with the window closed, there was a faint sound. However, it was very quiet at night, practically silent. All in all, I was very pleased with this stay.

My stay at The Shanghai EDITION was absolutely perfect! The hotel's location is superb, within walking distance to Nanjing Road and The Bund. The overall decor is chic and minimalist, and the room offers a fantastic view. The Le Labo amenities, soft bedding, and meticulous cleanliness really show attention to detail. Check-in was smooth thanks to Winnie at the front desk, who was incredibly gentle and professional. She was very efficient, proactively told me about the hotel and breakfast times, patiently answered my questions about room types and parking, and even gave me tips on nearby attractions. Her service was attentive and thoughtful, without being overly formal, which made me feel very comfortable. The hotel facilities are excellent, the breakfast spread is extensive, and the rooftop bar offers breathtaking night views. The overall service standard is consistently high. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Shanghai, and a special thanks to Winnie for her thoughtful hospitality!

Booked this hotel for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary and their birthdays. The hotel found out and immediately arranged for a Peninsula cake and fruit. The cake was so delicious we ate it all before I could take a picture! My parents mentioned they liked the tea bags, and the staff promptly provided more for them. They also quickly came to teach them how to use the coffee machine. My parents were very happy. The hotel is beautiful and luxurious, and the location is superb. We also went to the jazz bar on the 14th floor to see the night view, which was absolutely stunning.

The bathroom amenities were quite stingy. The 27ml shower gel was just enough for one person, let alone a couple or someone with a child. And 27ml of shampoo isn't even enough for long hair, though it might be okay for short hair. It really doesn't match the price of the room. The staff in the lobby were always rushing around and almost bumped into people; generally, they didn't even greet guests. Check-out wasn't quick, which was a real waste of time. And there's no need to constantly ask if we've eaten the peanuts or had the drinks. If we eat or drink something, we'll naturally pay for it. With such an expensive room rate, we wouldn't bother with such small economies.

Yet, at J Hotel, perched 632 meters atop the Shanghai Tower, these two finally coexist and blend harmoniously. It's a flowing art museum, suspended above the clouds, filled with Eastern essence and international aesthetics. During my two-day stay, every step revealed meticulous craftsmanship, and every glance was poetic. The eight-meter-high Chinese-style entrance, with its transparent crystals, reconstructs memories of old Shanghai. Vermilion textures, interspersed with tiny crystals, refract subtle light, weaving the vibrant life of Shanghai with modern translucence into an opening overture. Before even stepping into the elevator, one knows this is no ordinary hotel. Six transparent crystal Roman columns rise directly from the marble floor to the arched dome, where Eastern and Western aesthetics gently converge. The marble floor's ripple patterns subtly evoke landscapes. Strolling through feels like wandering through a private art gallery, with every turn hiding an unexpected aesthetic surprise. The 'J' logo is deconstructed into four magnolia petals, hinting at elegant character. There's no excessive, cluttered extravagance; only restrained, high-end brushstrokes narrate the unique Eastern romance of a domestic top-tier luxury brand. It doesn't deliberately pursue Western opulence but firmly upholds the unique warmth and depth of local culture. A perfect five stars, wholeheartedly recommended. I will definitely return for this artistic encounter in the clouds. True art never forcefully grabs attention; instead, it subtly permeates the soul, much like the service provided by Eve Xiang.

Later, every time I traveled to Shanghai for business, I stayed at other newer hotels. This time, I chose this hotel with my kids because I wanted them to see Shanghai's skyline. Overall, I was quite satisfied, especially since I booked late and couldn't get a family room, so I ended up booking two different room types for the two nights. However, the front desk helped us change both nights to family rooms, which I'm very grateful for. I feel like this hotel offers great value for money if you're traveling with a larger group. Perhaps because of this, breakfast was incredibly crowded – I almost don't remember ever seeing such a crowded hotel breakfast. For both days, we were seated at tables added in the aisle. What's more, after the staff cleaned the tables, they didn't set out cutlery, so we had to ask for it. One staff member was very polite, while another seemed quite displeased.

A nice modern touch is the delivery robot service, which handles in-house deliveries efficiently. You can also order from Taobao and have packages sent directly to the hotel before check-in, which is quite convenient for early arrivals or shopping-heavy trips. One downside is the package handling system. Deliveries are left in a shared corner area with other guests’ items, so you need to sort through and find yours yourself—there’s no organized storage or labeling beyond that. Laundry is free and available 24/7, which is a big plus for longer stays. However, there are only two machines, so you may need to queue during busy hours. Overall, it’s a very accessible and practical stay, especially for travelers who value location and convenience over extra hotel services.

The location is absolutely fantastic, right next to the bustling Bund, and Nanjing East Road is just a three-minute walk away. The hostel is clean and hygienic, and it's super convenient to have a sink and a bathroom right in the room – small but well-equipped. My favorite spot is the lobby; I'd often go there to relax. It's really cool and quiet, with everyone just doing their own thing. The front desk staff were very friendly and always willing to help. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai!

The amenities are quite complete, we were given drinking water daily, and there was also a refill available. The room was cleaned thoroughly every day. One of my favorite was the free washing and drying machines, which were extremely convenient. The location is excellent, right in the middle of Nanjing Road, making it easy to walk to the Bund or to the metro station. Overall, we were very impressed with our stay.

I messaged them on WeChat beforehand to arrange a birthday setup and a personalized room key, and everything was perfectly arranged on the day of check-in. Upon arrival, Angel personally escorted me to the room, explaining the hotel facilities and the surrounding area along the way. Julie even gave me a small lion keychain. The service was impeccable, and they were very accommodating. Breakfast was on the 52nd floor with an amazing view. A foreign lady in a red suit brought a small birthday cake and arranged a window-side sofa seat for me. Enjoying breakfast while overlooking Lujiazui was a wonderful experience. The room faced the Bund directly, offering an unparalleled view. The pool was well-maintained, and I particularly enjoyed the hot spring area. While the hardware might be a bit older, as the saying goes, 'an old Ferrari is still a Ferrari' – the classic charm and quality are definitely there. Overall, it exceeded my expectations, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Shanghai.

Staying at Shangri-La Shanghai was exactly what a city escape should feel like: luxurious without being fussy, courteous without feeling formal. We were on the 25th floor, and the view of the river was the best part of the day — morning light on the Huangpu, the skyline stretching out, and at night the Pearl Tower glowing just down the road. It’s quiet up there, real tranquility despite being so close to all the tourist attractions. The comfort carried through everywhere: the indoor pool and jacuzzi were perfect for unwinding, the gym had everything we needed, and the grand lobby is lined with high-end stores if you feel like browsing. But the thing we’ll remember most is the afternoons — tea time in the lobby with a live folk music performance drifting through the space. It turns the whole lobby into something calm and beautiful. Courteous staff, comfortable rooms, and a location that puts you right in the heart of Shanghai. We’ll be back.

I stayed for several nights and had a fantastic experience. I chose the Pearl View Room, and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower was right outside the window. I didn't have to brave the crowds on the Bund to enjoy the view; I could just relax and take it all in from my room. The service was excellent. They even gave us a little bear as a gift, and every staff member we encountered was incredibly warm and welcoming, especially Ms. Zhang Nianxiang, who was responsible for cleaning our room. She checked in with us every day to see if we needed anything, and her cleaning was meticulous and thorough. She was also very friendly to my child. There was also a gentleman with black-rimmed glasses who watched over the lobby and the elevators to the rooms; he always interacted with my child and was very humorous. It was a really great experience, truly living up to its reputation as a 'diamond in the sky' hotel.

This was my first stay at a Mandarin Oriental, and it was a completely different experience from the Ritz-Carlton, Niccolo, or Waldorf Astoria. The day before check-in, the hotel called to ask about my room preferences, which was a nice touch. As soon as I entered the lobby, I was greeted by MO's iconic fan, a mosaic made of countless individual fans. This fan truly sets the tone for Mandarin Oriental, and fan motifs are subtly integrated throughout the hotel. The overall aesthetic is a perfect blend of 'old money' elegance and New Chinese style. From the decor and design to the overall aesthetic, it hit all the right notes for me, and I give the brand's taste a very high score! 😄 During check-in, the front desk thoughtfully upgraded me to a lake-view room. While waiting for the elevator, they enthusiastically shared the brand's history with me. When asked which hotels I usually stay at, they also highlighted what makes Mandarin Oriental unique compared to others, which made me feel highly valued. 🥰 Unfortunately, the weather in Shanghai that day wasn't great – it was foggy and drizzling, so the daytime view wasn't exactly to my taste. However, the night view was absolutely stunning! I was particularly pleased that, due to local regulations, smoking is prohibited indoors in Shanghai. When I went downstairs to smoke, a dedicated attendant guided me and even lit my cigarette. This is something I've rarely encountered in most hotels. The brand's training for its concierge staff is definitely something other cities and hotels should aspire to. 👍 Now for a small suggestion after all the praise: the sound quality of the room's speakers wasn't particularly great. Most luxury hotels typically use high-end audio brands like JBL or Sennheiser, and compared to those, the speakers at MO Shanghai weren't quite up to par. However, whatever, this is a minor issue, almost not even a problem at all. Overall, my stay at MO was exceptional. From the hotel service and the concierge's enthusiasm to the brand history and hotel design, it was almost perfect in every aspect. I hope the hotel continues its excellent work and I look forward to staying here again on my next trip to Shanghai. I also hope that my future stays at other Mandarin Oriental properties will live up to the high standards set by MO Shanghai.

Finally checked into the Holiday Inn Express Shanghai Bund, a place I've been wanting to visit, and it was a fantastic experience! 🌟 The location is absolutely amazing – just a short walk to the Bund observation deck, and really close to the metro station, making it super convenient to get anywhere. No need to worry about hailing a cab. The front desk staff were wonderful, even kindly reminding me to avoid peak times for night views. Walking into the room was another pleasant surprise; it was spotlessly clean, the sheets and duvet covers were pristine white, and the bathroom had no strange odors. I felt completely at ease staying there. The value for money near the Bund is truly exceptional. I highly recommend it to everyone! 👍

Situated at the confluence of the Suzhou Creek and Huangpu River, and right next to the Waibaidu Bridge, it offers a superb vantage point to view both the Bund and Lujiazui simultaneously. The hotel's architecture, with its stepped-back design, vintage elevators, and collection of historical artifacts, creates a truly retro ambiance, making it a historical site worth visiting in itself and a significant part of Shanghai's urban history. I chose this hotel primarily to give my child a tangible experience of old Shanghai. Upon check-in, the front desk service manager kindly upgraded us to a suite with a view of the Shanghai Bund. The staff's service attitude was excellent. Although the hotel is a bit old, being there allows you to genuinely feel its nearly century-old historical weight. It maintains a state guest-level standard, blending vintage decor with modern renovations, preserving the essence of the old architecture. Gazing out the window, you're treated to a rich tapestry of modern and historical scenes interwoven.

Our stay was incredibly comfortable. The room was clean and tidy with a great view. Our butlers, Deslin and Lily, provided attentive and thoughtful service, proactively following up on all our needs and responding quickly. Any issues we had were promptly and properly resolved. Their considerate care was just right, and the cleaning was very timely, with towels replaced swiftly. This made the whole trip feel very pleasant and is highly recommended. It's also worth mentioning that the cleaning staff on our floor on the morning of our departure were very friendly, once again highlighting the hotel's meticulous service. I hope the hotel can pay attention to the showerhead and sink faucet in the room, as the water pressure is too strong and often splashes out, getting clothes wet. The room offers a different Banyan Tree themed incense or essential oil (optional) daily.

May because I needed to be closer to the vfs consulate embassy service for an appointment ( roughly 10 min slow walk) Thank you so much. The room is neat and tidy, and the front desk service is excellent, I called to get toothbrush & toothpaste and they responded in a couple of minutes. The shower is a little worn out but clean and the view out of the bathroom is spectacular. I ordered room service dinner because I am on a diet and the dumplings were so yummy. The hotel is beautiful and smells really good.

We booked the Kempinski for Children's Day, hoping to create a wonderful memory for our child. As a popular spot for its 'influencer-worthy' pool, the Kempinski truly lives up to its reputation. It has a distinct beauty both day and night, and I really felt the charm of Shanghai. The driver told me that many people come specifically to take photos of the hotel with the Oriental Pearl Tower – it’s a classic shot. Now for a few minor issues: Our room had a great view (as shown in the picture), but the bathroom felt a bit dated and wasn't ideal. For a bubble bath, the water pressure wasn't strong enough, and the bubbles didn't quite materialize. This is a small point. Also, I found the Black Forest cake to be just average. However, the burger we ordered for in-room dining (Picture 7) was absolutely delicious! It was huge, and I ate the whole thing. It came with truffle mayonnaise, and the patty was firm and juicy – highly, highly recommended! The price was definitely 'Kempinski-level,' but the taste, like private chef quality, was excellent. I asked for an extra children's amenity kit for the room, and they provided a small bag that even included a Children's Day toy (Picture 14). I also bought some ice cream, chocolates, and macarons from the lobby. The ice cream was the best – the strawberry flavor I had even had large pieces of real strawberry, which was a pleasant surprise! Ms. Julia Li was incredibly thoughtful and suggested I place the order through Dianping, showing great consideration for the customer. Big kudos to her! She was the only one who told me this, despite me buying items three times, so a special thank you!

I chose this hotel to try out the Regent experience. As a Platinum member, my room was upgraded to a Pearl View room, which had a fantastic view. I even watched a game at night; the TV was a bit small but acceptable. Food delivery can reach the front desk, but not the room itself, so I had to go downstairs to pick it up. The bathroom was very clean, and I appreciated that the bath mat was already laid out. My only minor issue was that the hairdryer plug didn't fit the bathroom outlet, so I had to use the universal outlet by the desk outside, which was a bit odd. For breakfast, the variety wasn't extensive but acceptable. I was surprised there wasn't a live egg station. Regarding service, the doorman was helpful in opening the car door, which was a plus. However, being rushed during checkout was quite disruptive to the experience. The hotel called exactly at 12 PM to urge me to check out. I understood that the hotel might have had high occupancy that day, so I negotiated a checkout time of around 1 PM. Yet, the hotel called twice more at around 1 PM and 1:04 PM, which felt a bit intrusive, especially since Platinum members are entitled to a late checkout until 2 PM, something the hotel had also communicated to me. I hope they improve on this next time. I was supposed to receive a complimentary in-room bubble bath experience once per stay, but I didn't get it. I'm not sure if there was a miscommunication between Trip.com and the hotel.

The large bathtub in the bathroom was very comfortable for a soak, easing the fatigue from a day of walking around. The exquisite bar cabinet in the room was also very stylish; my child exclaimed, 'This is so fancy!' as soon as we entered, which was both adorable and genuine. 💯 **Special Shout-out to the Service:** Especially to Zhao at the front desk! Upon check-in, she proactively offered snacks to our child and gave us excellent advice, helping us with a discounted upgrade. What touched me most was after we checked out, I accidentally left my sunglasses in a taxi and contacted the driver to send them back to the hotel. This was not the hotel's responsibility, but Zhao didn't hesitate at all. She readily signed for them and mailed them back to me. Such a sense of responsibility and enthusiasm is truly rare and commendable. Next time I'm in Shanghai, this will definitely be my first choice!

Parking was also super convenient; I parked in the hotel's underground garage for two days, and it was even free! For someone like me who takes the subway to tourist spots, it's such a relief. Upon check-in, they even upgraded me to a premium business double room for free, which was perfect for a family with a child, as the two beds could be pushed together. As soon as we entered the room, we found a complimentary fruit platter and the air conditioning already on. The hotel's interior is also lovely and very clean. Even my child said they loved this hotel and wants to stay here again next time we visit Shanghai. I completely forgot to take photos; I only have a picture of our late-night snack from the hotel on my phone, which is a bit embarrassing.

This time, I stayed in a room facing Nanjing Road. Through the three bay windows, I could see the bustling crowds on the pedestrian street below, the silhouette of the Peace Hotel's South Tower opposite, and the large clock on the Custom House clock tower in the distance. Almost every corner of the hotel tells a story: the grand corridor and octagonal lobby on the ground floor, the peace dove sculpture made of thousands of glazed tiles, the historic 'Chaplin Staircase' by the east entrance, the European old-money-style Victor Café, the Peace Museum tucked away on the mezzanine floor, and the legendary Jazz Bar hidden within the Jasmine Lounge. Taking the gleaming mosaic-tiled old elevator up to the 9th floor's Cathay Room, the rooftop bar offers panoramic views of the Bund. The Dragon & Phoenix Restaurant is adorned with auspicious dragons and phoenixes and eight blessings, while the Peace Hall, with its long space, high vaulted ceiling, and the legendary spring-loaded teak floor, still whispers tales of its past splendor. Staying in a Gold room includes lounge access. We experienced both the afternoon tea and happy hour, and the food quality was good with a rich selection. The happy hour now also offers hot dinner items; while not as extensive as the Cathay Room buffet, the variety is still considerable. The biggest advantage is the tranquility—during my visit, there were rarely more than two or three tables of guests, allowing for a quiet and relaxing meal. The Gold Lounge's ambiance is excellent, continuing the hotel's Art Deco style with a Shanghai twist. The service staff are professional, proactive, and know how to maintain an appropriate distance. The Jazz Bar was another highlight of this trip. The elderly jazz band, famous for holding a Guinness World Record, is quite well-known. After dinner, we went for a drink and listened to some music. While the performance and the female singer's vocals weren't stunning, the atmosphere was truly unique. Upon entering, the dapper maître d', with slicked-back hair, warmly escorted us to our seats; the bar staff were skillful in recommending drinks; and the handsome bartender’s movements were swift and precise. Watching the white-haired musicians on stage deliver piece after piece, I felt a genuine sense of disorientation, as if time had rewound several decades.

They didn't even notify guests in advance about the traffic restrictions due to a conference in the hotel area. I arrived in Shanghai in the afternoon and couldn't check in until 9:30 PM. The hotel had no contingency plans or measures in place. Many guests were quite upset at the time. Breakfast also required queuing, and the taste was mediocre with no particular highlights. When checking out, the staff didn't even bother to look up. Maybe they should all go for some training at a hotel like Atour (All Seasons) first.

The weather wasn't great during our stay, but the laundry and drying facilities were very convenient and fast. Ordering takeout was also a breeze; honestly, everything in Shanghai has a queue, and sometimes ordering takeout at the hotel was quicker and tasted just as good as going out to eat. As for transportation, it's very close to the subway station, just across the road, making transfers to places like Disneyland and the Science and Technology Museum super convenient. Plus, the Bund is about a 5-minute walk away. From the nearby ferry terminal, you can take a 2 yuan ferry to Dongchang Road Terminal on the other side, and then it's just a sky bridge walk to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. Regarding noise, with the window open during the day, it was a bit noisy because of the shops below, and with the window closed, there was a faint sound. However, it was very quiet at night, practically silent. All in all, I was very pleased with this stay.

One of the highlights was the outdoor bar area overlooking the Bund – it’s a beautiful place to relax in the evening with amazing views of the Shanghai skyline. The location is excellent and within walking distance of the Bund, making it easy to explore the area on foot. I had actually booked the hotel for the swimming pool so when the hotel announced the pool closure at the last minute, it was very much dissapointing. Had i noticed it on the trip app before the cancellation deadline, i would have definitely changed to another hotel. The hotel itself is a grand hotel, as the app indicated it as a premium hotel. That means big room, comfortable beds, good location near the north bund which was just 5 mins walk with all its offerings. But other than that, it felt rather ordinary compared to premium chain hotels. I'm sharing pictures so you can judge for yourself. First day experience was not the most pleasant unfortunately. My didi driver had to unload all luggages and i had to bring all in myself until a bellboy noticed me. He was probably the only person who was really service oriented that day. For the lack of facilities that is expected from the initial advertised offerings and lack of gestures to replace the lack of those facilities, the lack of professionalism that is rather expected of a ”premium rated” hotel, it is an average stay.

I'm so glad I chose Puli for my birthday this year; it made for an unforgettable 27th birthday. First and foremost, a heartfelt thank you to the entire Puli team and staff, especially Candy Tang. (The handwritten birthday card had such beautiful and sincere penmanship!) High-end hotels are built on service and design. Design is silent order, and service is an invisible anticipation, creating a perfectly balanced atmosphere where you feel cared for but not disturbed. Honestly, this is a basic expectation for luxury hotels, so I wasn't expecting anything extraordinary. When booking, I simply mentioned I'd like a simple room setup and a small cake. However, the entire team gave me a huge surprise by upgrading my classic room to a deluxe suite. I'm incredibly grateful because, for the team, this wasn't a 'have to' but a 'chose to.' What moved me the most was the genuine well wishes I received from everyone during check-in. A special thank you here to Candy Tang, Hugo, and the entire Guest Experience Team. I've always admired Jaya's design. As someone with a background in interior design, I had the privilege of staying at The Legian in Bali, and I was deeply touched by Jaya's rustic and symmetrical aesthetic. Time seemed to slow down in that healing space. However, Bali's unique environmental advantages, in my opinion, only enhanced Jaya's design there. So, I was actually very curious to see how Jaya's design would translate to the heart of Shanghai. It's rare to find such a tranquil oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of Shanghai's prime city center. The entrance is discreetly hidden next to L'Oréal. As you step in, the light is first 'noise-canceled' from the urban chaos by the lilies of the valley at the entrance. To the right is an endless corridor, bathed in amber lighting paired with dark volcanic rock and ebony wood, leaving only a soft, uniform glow. It's no exaggeration to say that the moment you walk in, the brightness of the outside world is toned down, and a profound sense of calm washes over you. The lighting also adapts throughout the day, with cooler natural light during the daytime and beautifully rich, warm yellow light after dusk. When booking, I wondered if I'd get a newly renovated room or an older design. I decided to leave it to fate, though I secretly hoped to experience the original design. To my surprise, not only did I get my wish, but I was also upgraded to a suite over 100 square meters! When I entered the room in the afternoon, everything was already perfectly set up. Opening the door, I was truly touched deep down. Thank you to all the staff for their hard work behind the scenes, preparing a handwritten card, red wine, a small cake, fruit, and a fully stocked complimentary mini-bar. Everything was wonderful. Even better, a friend booked a beautiful restaurant for my birthday. While I was trying on dresses and high heels (brand new, unworn, hence placed on the table for a photo – I'm a considerate person!), someone rang the doorbell. It was my friend, presenting me with 199 roses! I nearly fainted from happiness! (My bonus pool kept growing!) Thank you, my dear Rita. I must praise Puli's bed. I personally prefer soft beds, and this one was incredibly embracing, likely a custom Simmons Black Label. I just crashed and fell asleep instantly. The suite itself has a small kitchenette to the left of the entrance and a small restroom to the right, followed by the living room. Turning right leads to the bed, and the wardrobe is also very spacious. To the left of the bed is a large washroom with double sinks, a bathtub, a shower, and a separate toilet. My friend and I were chatting about how perfect it would be for a long-term stay. We started calculating how much it would cost to rent for a month, and after doing the math, we fell silent and simply said, 'Work harder, and it will happen...' Hahahahahaha (Seriously, wealthy individuals, you should consider it!). The next day, a Saturday, there was also a wellness class – a very professional Vinyasa yoga instructor. It was such a lucky day! There were only three of us in the class: my friend, a newly acquainted sister named Kumiii Jiang, and myself. We had a wonderful chat after class. Afterward, the staff even gave me a late checkout! Hahahahaha. I also visited Sister Kumiii's room and saw the new design. It's noticeably brighter, retaining some of the rustic elements while incorporating more modern touches. The lighting is stronger, brighter, and more transparent, with added light beige elements. They also addressed the issue of the original design's narrow sink, which made it difficult to place items. Sister Kumiii was touched by my friend's and my friendship. I thought 'good things should be shared' and even asked the staff to move the heavy 199 flowers (grateful!) to her room, and she took photos. Finally, I want to thank the Puli Hotel and its team again. You made my 27th birthday truly unforgettable. While I believe service should be designed to be seamless, the kindness shown by all the staff, above and beyond their job descriptions, truly infused Puli with soul. Though I haven't stayed in countless hotels over the years, this particular experience, through a confluence of circumstances, was one that moved me deeply and will stay with me forever. When we requested rooms on the same floor, Lvy and Chloe from Guest Relations went above and beyond, even upgrading our rooms – we were incredibly touched! Even though it was plum rain season in Shanghai, with misty rain every day, standing by the large floor-to-ceiling window in the room offered unique views, near and far, allowing us to appreciate a different kind of scenery. #StayCation Meeting friends in the city since living on the outskirts is easier, so this hotel was one I wanted to try. I’ve stayed in a few hotels in the same area, and I feel that this hotel has been maintained quite well. It’s definitely not like the HoJo in America. I do feel the upper floors during the seasonal transitions can get either too warm or too cold, but the hotel and staff are good to address. I received an oscillating fan for my foreign temperature, which was appreciated. The breakfast is basic yet varied, as it has what everyone needs. The gym is really nice and the executive lounge looks relaxing. The views are good. I don’t know if there was a pool, but I didn’t see one. The bed was comfortable and they have bathroom necessities if you need them. Staff are strongly bilingual and the lobby is inviting. Enjoy the locals dancing at the park across the street, see an opera, or try any cafe pub and shopping within walking.m distance. Thanks for holding my bag all day long. Easy to SF Express to home if roaming around regardless. #HoJoChina is an exemplar model.

My friends and I had lunch at the hotel restaurant. The 4-person set meal was too much for 5 of us, but the food was fresh, varied, and delicious. We had the leftovers packed and stored at the restaurant. For dinner, we dined at the hotel restaurant again, ordered a few dim sum dishes, and to our delight, the chef re-heated and artfully plated our packed leftovers – a truly touching gesture. The hotel's ambiance is elegant and tranquil, perfect for photos. Our room had a balcony, was clean and tidy, and well-equipped. For afternoon tea, the hotel provided complimentary fruit, small snacks, and a free mini-bar with beer, soda, etc. Enjoying a cup of coffee on the balcony, with its wrought-iron railings, reflecting the red tiles and green leaves, bathed in the soft, fragmented sunlight and a gentle breeze, while listening to the evening concert's melodies – it was a wonderfully relaxing and ritualistic afternoon tea experience. The front desk and restaurant staff were proactive and attentive. The doorman at the main entrance could use further training, but the management handled issues promptly, professionally, and effectively.

There are so many restaurants nearby that I didn't even know which one to choose. The room was very spacious, and the view from the window was expansive. The bedding was so comfortable; I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the hot water pressure was incredibly strong – if you're light, remember you can turn it down a bit. The hotel's breakfast buffet was very rich and served until 10 AM. The front desk staff, Xiao Chen and Xiao Xu, were so enthusiastic! They helped me arrange my room, and even kept my forgotten items at the front desk for me. Thumbs up! There's also a large underground parking lot with plenty of empty spaces. I'll definitely book here again next time.

It's also close to Hongqiao Station. For many Shanghainese, this hotel holds a special sentiment, having hosted various world leaders. The overall environment is excellent, with a large lawn and lush greenery perfect for a leisurely stroll. The decor features a charming old Shanghai villa style, and the lobby rivals any five-star hotel. This time, I felt the service had significantly improved. The lobby staff were fantastic; the lobby manager even upgraded my room and arranged an early check-in since I arrived early. Their enthusiasm and thoughtfulness were truly impressive. The breakfast was also upgraded, with new Cantonese dim sum like steamed tripe and spareribs with black bean sauce. I'll definitely be back often and hope they maintain this level of service.

The hotel is just across the road from Jing’an Temple, so the location is very convenient for sightseeing, shopping, and getting around the area. However, the hotel signage is not very obvious, so you might miss the entrance if you are not paying close attention. The reception area is also not clearly stated at the entrance, so do take note that it is located on Floor 12. The room was spacious and comfortable, which was a plus, especially when travelling with luggage. The bed was very soft, and the water pressure in the bathroom was good. Cleanliness was also good overall, but toiletries were not prepared in the room, so you will need to request them from the receptionist. One thing that could be improved is the air-conditioning. It worked, but the airflow was a little inconsistent. Sometimes the wind was strong, and sometimes it became soft, so it felt like the air-conditioning kept turning on and off. Transport-wise, the location is convenient, but getting a taxi around the hotel area may not be very easy. It can be hard for taxis to stop by the roadside, so you may need to pay attention and catch the taxi quickly when it arrives. The breakfast was excellent and was one of the highlights of the stay. There was a good variety of both Western and Asian options, especially the western cuisine are all good qualities.

The front desk guy was polite but not overly friendly. The lounge was just a bunch of aunties chatting and cracking melon seeds; they didn't really acknowledge guests or ask if anyone needed anything. Plus, a latte was like 45 yuan, which isn't good value, especially since it wasn't made with any special beans. If you're not looking for top-notch service, I'd still recommend staying here. The room itself is perfectly fine. I just wish they had more one-bedroom apartments; I'd consider a long-term stay then. A studio isn't really suitable for two people for an extended period.

在這裏累計住了7+2+2+3一共14天，還算有發言權，有幾句話不吐不快（加號是續房） 先説優點： 這條街很棒，很多有意思有品位的店 屋子裡有幾本好書 説缺點吧： 衞生條件一般，廁所馬桶反味嚴重，我入住期間累計用過小林廁所除臭，香水，線香，精油香薰，效果平平，很是苦惱。 浴室下水道很容易堵，且不好清理。住到後面不太敢在屋裡洗頭髮甚至。 蟎蟲問題嚴重。入住第二天我開始過敏，用葯不管用在退房之前去了醫院，到現在也還沒好。 時間觀念很差，中間跟房東提出希望換一下床品，因為有一個網上會議約好保潔於15:15之後到。房東因為沒有鑰匙提出讓我留下鑰匙。實際上14:47的時候阿姨直接進屋，在我提出需要稍等之後，阿姨離開，表示那就來不及了，最終沒換浴巾沒換四件套。 最後，我認為屋內風格與網上描述有些差距，作為一個設計師為噱頭的民宿，連我都能看出來屋內設計很混亂。 一開始500左右的價格是性價比的，續到最後900一天我覺得已經不具備推薦價值了。 第一次寫長評，寫完舒服多了。

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, very close to Nanjing Road. Famous eateries like Meilongzhen Restaurant, Ka司令 Bakery, and Wangjiasha are all within walking distance. The front desk was prompt and efficient in responding to my requests. Plus, they have a laundry room on the first floor with ironing facilities, which was super convenient. Overall, I'd give their hardware, software, and service a perfect 5 stars – it's definitely on par with a five-star hotel.

It’s our first time in Shanghai and I chose this apartment because of its location. It’s very near to the Jing’an temple, bakeries, very good restaurants like Lai Lai Xiao Loong Bao, Ren He Guan, a Guilin noodle shop that we loved and many more, a Family mart and a short walking distance to the Jing’an temple metro station. Cosmo World is always guarded at the lobby. The reception team is amazing, especially Lisa. They are all very kind, helpful and always ready to help, even when super busy. They really do go the extra mile. We took a 2-bed room for a family with 1 adult and 2 kids. The room was a good size for us and very well-equipped. We stayed for 2 weeks. The only thing that can be improved is perhaps the shower door, if there’s a rubber seal it would be better so the water doesn’t easily leak outside. Everything else was just perfect for us.

I booked the Dongyuan, which is very quiet. It's in a small building at the back of the main building, by the garden. You need to use your card to access the elevator, which ensures no unauthorized people can come and go. The room has an old-school state-run hotel vibe, but it's actually quite comfortable to stay in. Housekeeping was thorough every day, and they provided 4 bottles of mineral water, 4 tea bags, and 2 instant coffee sachets daily. Coming back to the room in the evening to boil water and make a cup of tea was just fantastic. The hairdryer was in the bedside table drawer; I spent a while looking for it at first 😅. They also provide mosquito repellent tablets, so pretty much everything you might need is there. If you need anything else, you can contact the front desk via the in-room phone, and they respond quickly, which is great. WIFI is available in the room, along with cable TV with plenty of channels. There's also a small safe in the wardrobe for valuables. With the blackout curtains drawn, I slept straight through until morning, not knowing what time it was!🤣 Both the bed and pillows were very comfortable. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit.

This hotel, which has been operating for many years, was once considered a boutique establishment. I finally decided to fulfill my long-standing desire to stay here, as I wasn't driving this time. The room was quite spacious, and you could tell from the architecture and the original decor that a lot of thought went into it back in the day. To be honest, my stay left me a bit concerned. The original design has a high step between the bed and living room areas, and there's another step in the living room itself. With the dim, greenish lighting, I was constantly worried about tripping while moving around. The light switches, though innovative for their time, are now hard to figure out due to age and lack of instructions. The shower design, with its seating area, was quite thoughtful for its era. However, the shower door has no sealing strip to keep water in, and the showerhead is just mounted on a fixed holder that doesn't swivel. You literally have to hold the showerhead while showering, which was quite unexpected. The toilet seat seems to be a later replacement, and it's completely mismatched and ill-fitting. 😓😓😓 What truly baffled me was that the 'clean' towels provided on the second day had visible stains, as shown in the picture. While I'm sure they were disinfected, offering such towels to guests is simply unacceptable. It's especially frustrating that in an age where most hotels offer late check-out, I received a call reminding me about check-out just half an hour beforehand, with the excuse that many guests were checking in that day. As someone who stays in hotels over 200 days a year, I can tell you that's no excuse; it reflects a shortage of housekeeping staff and disorganized management. I will not be staying at this hotel again! As a Trip.com Black Diamond member, I stand by my review.

Plus, there were some oversights in the cleaning; I actually found a T-shirt left by a previous guest on the back of a chair! I only stayed for one day, so I didn't get to experience the other hotel amenities. Overall, I would still recommend this hotel!

1. Location The location was absolutely fantastic. It's just a 10-minute walk from People's Square Station, and People's Square is right at the beginning of Nanjing Road East, which was incredibly convenient. 2. Cleanliness When multiple people used the bathroom at the same time, the water pressure dropped a bit. Also, Shanghai tends to be quite humid, and with the added humidity in the bathroom, I think addressing any mold issues would make the rooms even more popular. It was hard to find accommodation with four rooms, but each of the four rooms had a large bed. While the cushioning wasn't anything to write home about, it was good enough to rest a tired body! 3. Service Whenever I had questions or needed something, I'd send a message on WeChat, and they responded very quickly and helpfully. I also successfully ordered deliveries to the contact number and address they provided before my arrival. I was really grateful that they were so flexible with check-in/check-out times, allowing us extra time since there were no bookings immediately before or after ours. I was able to leave my luggage at the accommodation until I went to the airport, so I could do some shopping and then head home comfortably. Haha. 4. Facilities As Koreans are used to ondol (underfloor heating), it was quite cold. The large windows also contributed to this, so I recommend bringing warm clothing. Disposable slippers were provided, but there were no separate slippers for the bathroom. Personally, I think it would be a good idea to bring your own disposable slippers (the disposable slippers were very slippery in the bathroom! Be careful!!). Disposable toothbrushes, toothpaste, towels, hairdryers, etc., were all provided! Thanks to the great location, I had a wonderful trip, and I'm very grateful for their flexibility with check-in/check-out. Thank you so much.

We actually gained a few pounds staying here because the food was so good! The hotel is as central as you can get in Shanghai and is in a beautiful and historic old building that dates from early last century. It is surrounded by restaurants, has a metro line around the corner and has a theatre and even a Starbucks on its doorstep (which compensates a little for not having breakfast available in the hotel). My room was very spacious and well equipped with a powerful rain-shower and small bath, tea and coffee making facilities, a very comfortable bed and excellent wi-fi. The room and hotel in general is a little dated but doesn’t suffer from this. The reception on the first floor is nicely appointed and is accessed via a lift or beautiful stone staircase from street level. Staff are very helpful and welcoming. Rooms are quiet given the roadside proximity and I slept soundly each night. The Bund was about a 25 minute walk at night and there were lots of malls and restaurants to choose from just a stroll from the hotel itself- we ate at a Turkish-style bistro about 10 minutes walk away on the first night which was great value, and had a real buzz. There are also some nice bars nearby for a late night drink before bed. Overall, I would highly recommend as a weekend stopover option for central Shanghai, with metro accessibility and lots to do nearby.

The hotel is actually the Super 8 (Bashi Kuaijie) on the second floor, while Jinjiang Inn is upstairs. The room is small, but that's acceptable given Shanghai's high hotel prices. There's just enough space to open a suitcase, which is fine for one person. I appreciate that there's a window to the outside. The location is super convenient; you can get to Chenghuang Temple by shared bike, and the subway is close by. I'd stayed here for a night or two before and found it decent, so I chose this good-value hotel again for my solo trip. As before, there are only two small towels and no large bath towels, which I was prepared for. However, they didn't change the bedsheets for all three nights this time, which I'm not too happy about. Although food delivery can only be left in a designated area in the lobby, the elevator doesn't require a key card to access the second floor. I hope they can improve security to match the Jinjiang Inn upstairs, at least requiring a card to operate the elevator, to avoid such a big difference and a feeling of hierarchy.

Good value for money. The hotel is quite old but was clean and very functional and the room was fairly spacious. The aircon worked well and the shower was good. Breakfast was fine although only a few options for vegetarians but we did still get yogurts, fruit, cereal, toast and eggs and coffee was really good. Location was okay, just a little bit of a walk but nothing too much. Staff were great, professional and friendly. They used a translation app to help us and check in was really efficiently. They allowed us to store our luggage whilst we spent the last day exploring before our flight home. For Vegetarian travellers, there's a good restaurant literally around the corner, 5 minutes at the most from the hotel. Located really conveniently for the metro for People's Park and not too far to Nanjing road and down to the bund. We would recommend this hotel and would certainly stay here again I think. Shanghai.

Its location is excellent, situated on Huangpi South Road, close to the subway station, and not far from popular commercial areas like Xintiandi, Central Plaza, and Huangxing Plaza. The staff were warm, welcoming, and very accommodating. As it's a newly opened hotel, the facilities are great, and the soundproofing in the rooms is also good. The in-room voice-controlled smart device was very useful; it could open and close the curtains, turn the TV on and off, control the lights, tell jokes, sing songs, and more. The drinks in the mini-fridge were complimentary, and they even offered late-night snacks. All in all, everything was quite good.

In Shanghai, on Nanjing Road, in People's Square, and at subway stations, I can find such a B&B. I personally feel that it is very good. I actually had concerns and worries when I came here. I have stayed in several B&Bs throughout the journey. This is my overall feeling. I feel the most satisfied. 1. It is convenient to travel. It is less than 300 meters east of the People's Square subway station, and you can walk straight from the intersection of the 14th subway station without any twists and turns. 2. Convenient transportation. Self-driving vehicles can also drive directly downstairs, and there are parking lots around the building. People's Square Subway Station has three subway lines, which can directly reach Pudong Airport, Hongqiao Airport, Shanghai Railway Station, Shanghai South Railway Station, Nanjing East Road, Xujiahui, Lujiazui, Century Park, Zhongshan Park, Lu Xun Park, Peace Park, museums, and the Chinese Art Museum , Oriental Sports Center, Jiaotong University... 3. Safe and convenient. The building where I am located has property security, and there is an access control on the first floor. I was very satisfied with my stay at this hotel, and I'll definitely choose it again next time I'm in Shanghai. First off, the room size was perfect for two people, and it was spotlessly clean with daily housekeeping and timely replenishment of amenities. The front desk staff and cleaning ladies were all very friendly and accommodating. We arrived early, and they allowed us to check in ahead of time. The weather wasn't great during our stay, but the laundry and drying facilities were very convenient and fast. Ordering takeout was also a breeze; honestly, everything in Shanghai has a queue, and sometimes ordering takeout at the hotel was quicker and tasted just as good as going out to eat. As for transportation, it's very close to the subway station, just across the road, making transfers to places like Disneyland and the Science and Technology Museum super convenient. Plus, the Bund is about a 5-minute walk away. From the nearby ferry terminal, you can take a 2 yuan ferry to Dongchang Road Terminal on the other side, and then it's just a sky bridge walk to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. Regarding noise, with the window open during the day, it was a bit noisy because of the shops below, and with the window closed, there was a faint sound. However, it was very quiet at night, practically silent. All in all, I was very pleased with this stay.

The rooms are quite spacious and all have windows with a reasonable layout. There's a TV with screen mirroring, though I didn't really use it. Tea bags are provided. Overall, it's pretty good. The room had a slight damp smell, which is normal.

I found this Puyan Hotel last minute for a business trip to Shanghai. The location is incredibly convenient. You can see the hotel right outside Exit 5 of Dashijie Metro Station, which serves both Line 8 and Line 14. The hotel lobby is clean and bright. The room hygiene was also excellent. All the service staff were very polite. The front desk staff were also incredibly helpful and patient. They even offered to help with my luggage, which was a nice touch. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Shanghai. It's close to many popular attractions. I'll definitely book here again next time I'm in Shanghai. Thank you to all the staff.

Although the room is a bit small, it's really great value for money. The only thing that left a bad taste was a young, blonde-haired front desk guy. Since I was traveling, I had a lot of packages delivered to the hotel in advance. When I mentioned it to him that evening, he told us to squat on the floor and look for them ourselves. We looked but couldn't find them. Then he briefly checked the hotel's storage locker and dismissively said, ”Nope, nothing. You guys contact the courier yourself, they probably just deliver them anywhere.” His attitude was very rude. I mean, is it possible for over a dozen packages to all be delivered to the wrong place at once? We didn't bother arguing with him. The next day, a different front desk guy was on duty, and he immediately helped us find them – and they were right there in that storage locker… I was speechless.

Except for the price, there's nothing wrong with the hotel. It's now 30% more expensive than the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, which is crazy! The staff were all very friendly and greeted us proactively. I accidentally left my car window open in the parking lot and only realized it the next day. A staff member had covered the window securely with a black plastic bag – I was so touched! We booked the Dreamy Fantasyland Room. Since my child is over 12, we paid an extra 299 RMB (I think that was the price), which was like a rollaway bed fee, and she happily slept on the fireplace bed. For the 10th anniversary, the room came with some small gifts, and since it was my birthday, I also received a birthday badge, stickers, and a small cake. To accommodate the 'Extra Hour of Fun' event on Friday and Saturday nights in July, Mickey Avenue was open until 11:30 PM, and the Star Gazer's Cruise also ran until 11:30 PM. A big thank you to all the hard-working staff!

The resort is beautiful, giving you the feeling of having a private estate all to yourself. It's very close to Disneyland, and there's a free shuttle available all the time from the hotel lobby to the roadside entrance. The front desk staff are absolutely wonderful – so warm and attentive. As soon as they see someone approach, they immediately stand up and ask if they need assistance. The two gentlemen at the front desk, pictured here, were especially great; seeing that we had two children, they even upgraded us to a family room. The hotel blankets are very soft, and the plants in the courtyard are stunning. The only slight unpleasantness was at breakfast. The gentleman working in the breakfast area was incredibly kind, making sure no guest felt neglected, and even had his apprentice with him to train him. He was consistently enthusiastic. However, there was a 'Miss Grumpy' in the breakfast area who seemed to be in a bad mood, spoke unhappily, kept looking at her watch, and had a dismissive attitude, almost like she was looking down on people – a real 'Shanghai princess' vibe. I believe that if you're in the service industry, you need to have a service spirit and consciousness, not act as if you're superior just because you're in Shanghai. If it weren't for 'Miss Grumpy,' I would give this hotel a perfect score.

Check-in was seamless, and we were pleasantly surprised by our beautiful room—it was spacious, spotless, and exceptionally comfortable. The amenities were excellent. We especially loved having a private in-room onsen, while the public onsen was equally relaxing. Although our room was quite a distance from the lobby, the hotel’s complimentary buggy service made getting around quick and convenient. What truly stood out was the outstanding service. The staff responded to our requests almost instantly and even went above and beyond to help coordinate my ******* food delivery. Since ******* drivers aren’t allowed to enter this area, you’ll need to pay a small additional fee for the driver to walk in. Our guest services team handled the communication with the driver and ensured the food was delivered directly to our room. We genuinely felt well looked after throughout our stay. Another huge plus is the complimentary shuttle service to Disneyland, making this hotel an excellent choice for anyone planning a Disney trip. After such a stressful start to our holiday, this hotel completely turned things around. With its exceptional service, beautiful rooms, excellent facilities, and convenient Disneyland shuttle, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommended!

This time, my experience was much better than last! The room had no strange smells, and the overall cleanliness was great. Even though it was still quite crowded this time (probably due to the summer holiday), everything was well-organized. Check-in was smooth, and I managed to catch the shuttle bus downstairs at 7:25 AM, though it didn't drop us off until around 7:40 AM after waiting a bit for it to depart. Still, pretty good! **Environment:** Excellent! **Round-trip shuttle bus from hotel to Disneytown:** We only left at 7:25 AM (because we were really pushing it with time, it was already quite late!). After waiting a bit, we were dropped off at the entrance at 7:40 AM. I recommend heading straight for TRON Lightcycle Power Run first – it's my favorite! However, when we got there, we already had to queue for half an hour, so if you can wake up earlier, definitely do so! **Early Park Entry (up to 1 hour before opening):** It was useful! We only rode TRON Lightcycle Power Run, which was great. But I managed to get a lot of photos with no other guests! Also, while walking from Tomorrowland towards Toy Story Land, we happened to catch Mickey and Minnie doing their thing before the park even opened. It only took 8-10 minutes to queue, which I wasn't thrilled about. But the staff told me, 'Oh my goodness, you have no idea, it usually takes two hours to queue for this!' So we waited for a bit and got to interact with them! Satisfied!

As first-time Disney visitors, our whole family had an unexpectedly wonderful experience: **Space Magician**: The 40+ sqm space is incredibly well-utilized. The slide in the room made the kids scream with delight the moment they walked in! My 6-year-old and 4-year-old immediately turned the slide area into their secret base. Sleeping on the 1.8-meter main bed with mom was completely comfortable for both kids, and dad got plenty of rest on the bottom bunk of the 1.2-meter bunk bed. **Parent-Child Detail Obsessive's Dream**: Corner protectors and outlet covers are fully equipped. The children's showerhead is at just the right height, and a thoughtful step stool is provided at the washbasin. Details truly matter here. **Behind-the-Scenes Dedication**: The owner personally cleans all rooms and public areas. All linens are washed in-house, not outsourced. Toiletries, drinking water, and snacks are all high-quality brands, often the same ones the owners or their children use. So, features like a wet/dry separation bathroom, Laifen hairdryer, and JmGO projector, which would be praised elsewhere, almost go unnoticed here. **Hidden Disney Tips**: The owner provided many practical tips for our park visit, saving us a lot of trouble! At checkout, my daughter was given a small drink, which she said tasted great, and kept asking her mom to buy more on the way home. **Suggestions for Improvement**: I hope a detachable bed rail can be added to the side of the bed (for more peace of mind when sleeping with younger children). Providing stroller rental would be even better. Although slightly more expensive than surrounding B&Bs, enjoying private butler-style service for 200 RMB per person is incredibly good value! We didn't get to experience the large lawn in the yard, the mini-pool in the backyard, or the rooftop terrace this time, but they've left us plenty to look forward to. It looks like our accommodation for our second Disney trip in a few years has already been pre-booked!

I visited Qianyun after looking at dozens of places in the area. I wanted to be away from typical city area, have a bathtub and nice outdoor area, and with easy access to Shanghai Disneyland. Qianyun met all those requirements and more! The location was immediately very serene and surrounded by forest, but still easy to access lots of waimai food delivery options. They were also very kind and proactive about sharing information about local restaurants and activities, and provide a breakfast and evening fruit every day. They offer free car transport to Disneyland, and I was excited to use this service but I ended up enjoying my time at the hotel so much that I opted to stay and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere instead! The hotel pets are so friendly - within five minutes the little cat Banban was on my lap and purring. The room itself is decorated very nicely with all the amenities you need. The bathtub inside is very comfortable and I loved the outdoor hot spring tub as well. The attention to hygiene is very highly emphasized and I was impressed with how clean and luxurious everything felt. I will definitely visit again and recommend to anyone hoping to have a convenient getaway from the city, or who would like to be near to Disneyland Resort while also experiencing a more peaceful area and for a good economical value and high quality service! Thankyou for the wonderful stay, I felt very welcome at all times.

Except for the price, there's nothing wrong with the hotel. It's now 30% more expensive than the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, which is crazy! The staff were all very friendly and greeted us proactively. I accidentally left my car window open in the parking lot and only realized it the next day. A staff member had covered the window securely with a black plastic bag – I was so touched! We booked the Dreamy Fantasyland Room. Since my child is over 12, we paid an extra 299 RMB (I think that was the price), which was like a rollaway bed fee, and she happily slept on the fireplace bed. For the 10th anniversary, the room came with some small gifts, and since it was my birthday, I also received a birthday badge, stickers, and a small cake. To accommodate the 'Extra Hour of Fun' event on Friday and Saturday nights in July, Mickey Avenue was open until 11:30 PM, and the Star Gazer's Cruise also ran until 11:30 PM. A big thank you to all the hard-working staff!

Pros: 1. This is probably the closest well-known brand hotel to Disney. The shuttle service is excellent, with frequent trips covering Disney, the airport, and the train station (Image 1). 2. The room was clean and the staff were friendly! The minibar offered free chips and drinks, though unfortunately, it was a fixed selection of only two cans per day (Image 7). There was plenty of complimentary bottled water. Cons: 1. The room lighting was too dim, especially in the bathroom. I suggest increasing the wattage of the lights. 2. The bathroom lacked hooks or other facilities to hang clothes or towels. I highly recommend adding hooks. 3. The showerhead needs to be replaced; the spray area is too small. I suggest checking out the Courtyard by Marriott Puxi for reference. 4. The closet was narrow and long, with very little hanging space, so it couldn't accommodate many coats (Image 6). 5. It would be perfect if they could add a FamilyMart convenience store at the entrance, similar to the nearby Novotel (which even shares the same airport shuttle bus!).

This might be okay for camping, but not really suitable as a hotel. As soon as I turned on the exhaust fan, black debris started falling. Just after sitting on the sofa, I spotted long cobwebs. There were spiderwebs in several places. The wall-mounted air conditioner in the main double bed area blew directly onto the bed, while the bunk beds at the other end got no air circulation at all. The person sleeping on the double bed was freezing at night. The AC fan blades, even when adjusted upwards, would slowly drop down on their own. Plus, the bed was very short; my feet would hang off if I moved even a little. Directly facing the bed was a large, uncovered mirror. Although the bunk beds were single, they actually offered decent space, similar to a high-speed train. However, they were separated from the bathroom by just a board, and the automatic toilet flush would wake up anyone sleeping there. The environment itself was undeniably beautiful: lush trees, chirping insects and birds. But every time I opened the door, I had to shoo away mosquitoes. Entering required careful timing to rush in and prevent mosquitoes from flying inside with me. Throughout the night, I swatted several mosquitoes, flies, and moths. The mosquito repellent provided was the old-fashioned mosquito coil pad type. Even with it on and the window open all night, one of my companions still felt very uncomfortable and nauseous. It's about a 10-minute walk to the Disney metro station, but the actual entrance to Disney is still quite a distance away. However, that's more an issue with Disney's layout.

I stayed at Qing Shu Homestay many years ago, and I've chosen it again without hesitation after comparing it to other newly opened hotels recently. It's so convenient with its pickup and drop-off service, which is a great personal touch, and breakfast is included. It's very close to Disneyland and quiet at night. I booked a twin room, which was very spacious, equipped with hangers and a dehumidifier. Everything was great, except for the showerhead in the bathroom, which could use an upgrade. I'd suggest adding some Disney-themed fabric sofas and maybe some Zootopia stickers on the walls to enhance the atmosphere. I hope this great value-for-money homestay continues to improve and thrive!

Extremely satisfied with my guesthouse stay! The room was spacious and well-soundproofed, and everything was clean and tidy. The amenities were even more comprehensive than a hotel's, they even provided disposable bathtub liners! Breakfast was plentiful too. The owner is the 'gets things done, no-nonsense' type – doesn't chat much or ask too many questions, but all your needs are perfectly taken care of. Since there's no elevator, the owner helped carry our luggage upstairs, and they arranged pick-up and drop-off to both the subway station and Disneyland. It's less than a ten-minute drive to Disneyland, and they even have strollers for rent through a partner, which was great value for money. A very satisfying experience overall. I imagine the small courtyard would be even more beautiful in summer. I'd definitely come back if I have the chance!

We booked the Frozen-themed room, and my child was so excited as soon as we entered, having a blast on the slide. The staff were incredibly friendly and thoughtful, right from their initial communication before check-in. They also gave us lots of helpful tips for our Disney trip the next day, which saved us a lot of time and made our visit really enjoyable. The free pick-up and drop-off service for a two-night stay was incredibly convenient, especially after watching the fireworks when everyone is leaving and it's hard to find a taxi. Having a driver waiting for you was a fantastic experience. Before we returned to the hotel, the front desk staff even turned on the air conditioning in our room, so it was warm and cozy when we got back – a really thoughtful touch. I highly recommend this guesthouse; I'll definitely choose to stay here again the next time we visit Disneyland.

I stayed at the Garden Hotel again during the May Golden Week holiday to watch the Longines Global Champions Tour in Shanghai. My first stay at the Garden Hotel was 30 years ago. The marble in the lobby, the Rose restaurant, and the small mosaic tiles in the corridors still maintain their grand and elegant style. That's why I always come back to this familiar place whenever I return to China. It was a family member's birthday on the day we checked in, and the hotel gave us a box of rich chocolates. I was truly touched by the hotel's thoughtfulness, it made us very happy! **Facilities**: The TOTO toilet at the Garden Hotel is my favorite because of its washlet function, making going to the restroom so comfortable! The depth and length of the bathtub are also perfect for me. The slippers are very thick and durable; I always feel reluctant to throw them away when checking out. I even take the used slippers with me to wear on planes or high-speed trains. **Hygiene**: The hygiene details are impeccable. The towels are soft and comfortable, with dense loops, making them very reassuring to use on the skin. **Environment**: The hotel has its own garden, where you can enjoy a rare tranquility in the city of Shanghai during a morning stroll! Just one traffic light to the left of the hotel entrance, there are many small bars and restaurants! There are even two Michelin-starred restaurants! It's definitely worth a walk and exploring. **Service**: I bought many things online, and they were delivered to the hotel in batches. The concierge meticulously recorded everything and delivered them to our room! When we left, the concierge helped put our luggage in the car trunk, opened and closed the doors, and politely bid us farewell. **Welcome Package**: We received canned drinks and snacks, which was a nice surprise!

I stayed at this hotel back when it was still the Kempinski and always had a pleasant experience. This time, under the new IHG Vignette Collection branding, the stay fell far short of expectations. Upon arrival, there was no one outside to assist with luggage. Staff members only rushed out after they saw me already pulling my bags from the car myself. The check-in process was noticeably slower, and I wasn’t offered an upgrade — which used to be a regular, appreciated gesture during my previous stays. I was given one of the smallest rooms I’ve ever had in this hotel. The room itself had several issues. The microwave didn’t work at all, so I couldn’t heat up the takeaway I’d brought. The bedroom TV remote wasn’t responsive; I struggled with it for a long time and eventually just managed to turn the TV off, but not control it. The worst part was the noise from the room above — constant, disruptive sounds that went on until well past midnight, severely affecting my sleep. I did call reception about it, but the noise continued. Checkout felt impersonal and rushed. No one asked how my stay was. I simply handed over my room key and that was it. When my pre-ordered car had trouble finding the hotel entrance, I handed the phone to a staff member expecting them to guide the driver. Instead, he simply found out where the car was parked, handed the phone back, and left me to drag my luggage there on my own. The only positive is the central location, which remains excellent. But for service, room comfort, and attention to detail, this was a letdown. I hope they can bring back the standards they used to have.

I recently stayed at Yitel Premium and absolutely loved it! The location is amazing—right in the heart of the pedestrian street, so it's super convenient to walk anywhere. It's also really close to a famous Xiaolongbao restaurant, and DiDi drivers can pick you up right in front of the hotel. The hotel itself is very clean, and housekeeping did a great job cleaning my room every single day. The best part was that my stay coincided with my birthday, and the staff was so sweet to upgrade my room for free! The service here is top-notch. I also loved the complimentary tea and coffee in the lobby, and the free washing machine was a huge plus. The only minor things were a slight cigarette smell that probably came through the AC vents, which was understandable. However, the only real downside was that my room faced the main road, so the traffic noise was quite loud. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and I highly recommend it!

I’m so glad I chose the Mehood Elegant Hotel. It was the perfect location — close to everything, not too crowded, yet not too remote either. I traveled solo with my 14-month-old toddler, and he was absolutely spoiled by all the hotel staff. Everyone treated us with so much kindness and care. Jerry checked us in and out and even gave me a cute fridge magnet. The breakfast was delicious with so many options to choose from, the rooms were cleaned daily, and bottled water was always replenished. Xiao Jun also took great care of us, and Yinhe Juan felt like an auntie to us. We looked forward to seeing them every morning at breakfast. They all made my stay feel so warm and welcoming — truly like a home away from home. I’m incredibly grateful for their hospitality, and if I ever find myself back in Shanghai again, I’ll definitely be booking Mehood. PS: the view from my room was incredible!

I’ve stayed here for the second time ( first was before Covid lockdown) in January 2020, both times I got an upgrade to the Pearl tower and bund view!!! This time i. May because I needed to be closer to the vfs consulate embassy service for an appointment ( roughly 10 min slow walk) Thank you so much. The room is neat and tidy, and the front desk service is excellent, I called to get toothbrush & toothpaste and they responded in a couple of minutes. The shower is a little worn out but clean and the view out of the bathroom is spectacular. I ordered room service dinner because I am on a diet and the dumplings were so yummy. The hotel is beautiful and smells really good.

The hotel is well-located, right in the middle of the pedestrian street. We stayed in a standard room, but after our flight was canceled due to a typhoon, we extended our stay for another day and were moved to an upgraded room. The room was fantastic, we were probably lucky. It had two rooms: a living room with a sofa and a magnificent view of the pedestrian street. Besides a tea set, there was also a coffee machine. There was also a large, separate bathroom. It's an ideal option for a family with a child. The breakfasts are very good, with options for both children and adults. The only thing I didn't notice was an omelet station; there were fried eggs and scrambled eggs instead. But you won't go hungry; a delicious and hearty breakfast is guaranteed.

The room was fantastic – spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Every staff member I encountered was incredibly friendly and helpful. They even offer complimentary water not just in the room, but also by the stairwells. The overall ambiance and design really capture the essence of old Shanghai, and the staff have that 'Old Kle' charm themselves. The location is unbeatable; stepping out, you're surrounded by restaurants, and Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street is literally ten steps away. I even managed to snap a pic of a menu from the restaurant across the street, right from my window! 😂

Stayed 10nights here with my family mixed with toddlers and senior citizens. We were all very satisfied and in fact impressed by their service, the friendliness and helpfulness of staffs in the hotel. They were patient with our multiple requests, had baby amenities and handled our taobao parcels well. Even helped me call one delivery person which failed to contact me several times and ensured I get my parcel successfully. My aunt forgot to return hotel cards and they did not charge me. How nice of them. Will definitely come back to this hotel next time. Location great for food and didi too

Staying at Shangri-La Shanghai was exactly what a city escape should feel like: luxurious without being fussy, courteous without feeling formal. We were on the 25th floor, and the view of the river was the best part of the day — morning light on the Huangpu, the skyline stretching out, and at night the Pearl Tower glowing just down the road. It’s quiet up there, real tranquility despite being so close to all the tourist attractions. The comfort carried through everywhere: the indoor pool and jacuzzi were perfect for unwinding, the gym had everything we needed, and the grand lobby is lined with high-end stores if you feel like browsing. But the thing we’ll remember most is the afternoons — tea time in the lobby with a live folk music performance drifting through the space. It turns the whole lobby into something calm and beautiful. Courteous staff, comfortable rooms, and a location that puts you right in the heart of Shanghai. We’ll be back.

The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The front desk staff were warm, polite, and handled check-in efficiently and smoothly. The facilities were well-maintained and comprehensive, and the cocktails at the lounge were excellent. Our overall experience far exceeded our expectations, and we'll definitely choose to stay here again on our next trip!

I messaged them on WeChat beforehand to arrange a birthday setup and a personalized room key, and everything was perfectly arranged on the day of check-in. Upon arrival, Angel personally escorted me to the room, explaining the hotel facilities and the surrounding area along the way. Julie even gave me a small lion keychain. The service was impeccable, and they were very accommodating. Breakfast was on the 52nd floor with an amazing view. A foreign lady in a red suit brought a small birthday cake and arranged a window-side sofa seat for me. Enjoying breakfast while overlooking Lujiazui was a wonderful experience. The room faced the Bund directly, offering an unparalleled view. The pool was well-maintained, and I particularly enjoyed the hot spring area. While the hardware might be a bit older, as the saying goes, 'an old Ferrari is still a Ferrari' – the classic charm and quality are definitely there. Overall, it exceeded my expectations, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Shanghai.

We checked in late at night, and when I called to arrange airport pick-up, the person on the line was very helpful and patient. The concierge also diligently answered all my questions. At the front desk, we met Jack, who upgraded our room because we had a child with us. He was very enthusiastic even working late at night and even gave us a flight simulation voucher – a big thank you to him! The next day, we met Helen at the front desk, who was very kind and gentle, and helped us coordinate our flight simulation experience. Although the hotel is a bit older, it's well-maintained. The breakfast is abundant and serving until 11 AM is a nice touch. The kids' play area, however, is quite old and might have a musty smell due to a lack of ventilation. I hope it can be upgraded soon!

I stayed for two nights this time, and it was a pretty good experience. Bob provided excellent service – always on top of things. The hotel was quite busy, mostly with guests from the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai areas coming to check it out. Parking was ample, with both an underground garage and outdoor spaces. The underground garage isn't huge, maybe 70-80 spots. You can enter and exit multiple times, and parking is free. It's very close to Happy Valley, about three to four kilometers away, though driving is definitely more convenient. Moon Lake is right next door, and you can catch a distant view of it from the 5th floor. The room had both a bathtub and a balcony.

Actions speak louder than words—just look at the photos! Honestly, the pictures online didn't particularly grab me (they were just okay). I booked the hotel simply wanting a relaxing break, and it totally exceeded my expectations! The hotel environment is fantastic. Even with the rain, it didn't detract from the beauty; if anything, it enhanced the therapeutic vibe. A unique touch was using the room key to tap a jade stone by the door to enter. The hotel has so many thoughtful little service details. In the morning, they subtly leave a warm 'good morning' drink outside your door. In the evening, there's a turndown service with snacks and hot tea—very considerate! The room is gorgeous. It's a shame it was raining and a bit hot outside, so I didn't get to relax on the balcony. Otherwise, enjoying a drink out there with the view would have been lovely. The salmon and shrimp at the buffet were both fresh and delicious. The afternoon tea at the executive lounge had the same desserts as the buffet. The desserts really showed some skill, especially the Basque cheesecake, which had a wonderfully moist and smooth texture. Even though it was the Dragon Boat Festival, there were quite a few people attending classes, but most were very well-behaved, and the class atmosphere was quite immersive.

After a disappointing experience at our previous hotel, we booked this one in the middle of the night. Thankfully, our reservation was confirmed instantly, allowing us to move over immediately. From the moment we arrived, the reception team was warm, friendly, and incredibly efficient. Check-in was seamless, and we were pleasantly surprised by our beautiful room—it was spacious, spotless, and exceptionally comfortable. The amenities were excellent. We especially loved having a private in-room onsen, while the public onsen was equally relaxing. Although our room was quite a distance from the lobby, the hotel’s complimentary buggy service made getting around quick and convenient. What truly stood out was the outstanding service. The staff responded to our requests almost instantly and even went above and beyond to help coordinate my ******* food delivery. Since ******* drivers aren’t allowed to enter this area, you’ll need to pay a small additional fee for the driver to walk in. Our guest services team handled the communication with the driver and ensured the food was delivered directly to our room. We genuinely felt well looked after throughout our stay. Another huge plus is the complimentary shuttle service to Disneyland, making this hotel an excellent choice for anyone planning a Disney trip. After such a stressful start to our holiday, this hotel completely turned things around. With its exceptional service, beautiful rooms, excellent facilities, and convenient Disneyland shuttle, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommended!

Like many reviews wrote, the water in the pool here is really too hot. It is the hottest of all the hot springs in Shanghai that I have been to. It feels too hot. I saw that several children could hardly soak in the water for a while. I don’t know why so many people complained. I saw that the management was still saying in the comments that it met the hot spring temperature requirements. What they said is that your water is too hot, and they are giving you suggestions. Everyone in the hot spring said that the water was hot, not that you violated any regulations... It takes talent to reply like this

I visited Qianyun after looking at dozens of places in the area. I wanted to be away from typical city area, have a bathtub and nice outdoor area, and with easy access to Shanghai Disneyland. Qianyun met all those requirements and more! The location was immediately very serene and surrounded by forest, but still easy to access lots of waimai food delivery options. They were also very kind and proactive about sharing information about local restaurants and activities, and provide a breakfast and evening fruit every day. They offer free car transport to Disneyland, and I was excited to use this service but I ended up enjoying my time at the hotel so much that I opted to stay and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere instead! The hotel pets are so friendly - within five minutes the little cat Banban was on my lap and purring. The room itself is decorated very nicely with all the amenities you need. The bathtub inside is very comfortable and I loved the outdoor hot spring tub as well. The attention to hygiene is very highly emphasized and I was impressed with how clean and luxurious everything felt. I will definitely visit again and recommend to anyone hoping to have a convenient getaway from the city, or who would like to be near to Disneyland Resort while also experiencing a more peaceful area and for a good economical value and high quality service! Thankyou for the wonderful stay, I felt very welcome at all times.

This May Day holiday, my husband and I checked out the newly opened Yin Tang Yu Dao B&B in Shanghai. Tucked away in a village, its white walls and black tiles exude a classic Chinese charm. The environment is serene and peaceful, far from the city's hustle and bustle, with lush greenery that's incredibly healing. It's very close to an ancient town, perfect for leisurely strolls, soaking in the lively local atmosphere – so pleasant and comfortable. They also offer special traditional Chinese medicine wellness courses. Slowing down to experience them is wonderfully soothing for both body and mind. The Fairmont Gold room is very spacious, featuring a separate entry area, a walk-in closet, and a well-appointed bathroom with a wet and dry separation, a vintage bathtub, and double sinks. The bedroom includes a large sofa and a desk, and the overall layout follows an inverted 'S' shape. Both the layout and decorative details show thoughtful design, exuding an old-world artistic charm. This time, I stayed in a room facing Nanjing Road. Through the three bay windows, I could see the bustling crowds on the pedestrian street below, the silhouette of the Peace Hotel's South Tower opposite, and the large clock on the Custom House clock tower in the distance. Almost every corner of the hotel tells a story: the grand corridor and octagonal lobby on the ground floor, the peace dove sculpture made of thousands of glazed tiles, the historic 'Chaplin Staircase' by the east entrance, the European old-money-style Victor Café, the Peace Museum tucked away on the mezzanine floor, and the legendary Jazz Bar hidden within the Jasmine Lounge. Taking the gleaming mosaic-tiled old elevator up to the 9th floor's Cathay Room, the rooftop bar offers panoramic views of the Bund. The Dragon & Phoenix Restaurant is adorned with auspicious dragons and phoenixes and eight blessings, while the Peace Hall, with its long space, high vaulted ceiling, and the legendary spring-loaded teak floor, still whispers tales of its past splendor. Staying in a Gold room includes lounge access. We experienced both the afternoon tea and happy hour, and the food quality was good with a rich selection. The happy hour now also offers hot dinner items; while not as extensive as the Cathay Room buffet, the variety is still considerable. The biggest advantage is the tranquility—during my visit, there were rarely more than two or three tables of guests, allowing for a quiet and relaxing meal. The Gold Lounge's ambiance is excellent, continuing the hotel's Art Deco style with a Shanghai twist. The service staff are professional, proactive, and know how to maintain an appropriate distance. The Jazz Bar was another highlight of this trip. The elderly jazz band, famous for holding a Guinness World Record, is quite well-known. After dinner, we went for a drink and listened to some music. While the performance and the female singer's vocals weren't stunning, the atmosphere was truly unique. Upon entering, the dapper maître d', with slicked-back hair, warmly escorted us to our seats; the bar staff were skillful in recommending drinks; and the handsome bartender’s movements were swift and precise. Watching the white-haired musicians on stage deliver piece after piece, I felt a genuine sense of disorientation, as if time had rewound several decades.

I stayed at this hotel many years ago when there weren't many good hotels in Shanghai, and it left a deep impression. Later, every time I traveled to Shanghai for business, I stayed at other newer hotels. This time, I chose this hotel with my kids because I wanted them to see Shanghai's skyline. Overall, I was quite satisfied, especially since I booked late and couldn't get a family room, so I ended up booking two different room types for the two nights. However, the front desk helped us change both nights to family rooms, which I'm very grateful for. I feel like this hotel offers great value for money if you're traveling with a larger group. Perhaps because of this, breakfast was incredibly crowded – I almost don't remember ever seeing such a crowded hotel breakfast. For both days, we were seated at tables added in the aisle. What's more, after the staff cleaned the tables, they didn't set out cutlery, so we had to ask for it. One staff member was very polite, while another seemed quite displeased.

When I was choosing a hotel, I fell in love with the room at the Shanghai Club at first sight, and it certainly didn't disappoint. The room was even more beautiful than I imagined, with meticulously designed details everywhere. It felt exquisite and elegant, perfectly matching the hotel's overall style. The hotel's service was also top-notch – professional and just the right amount of warmth, which made me feel very comfortable. If I had to point out one thing, the room might have been a tiny bit damp, but in Shanghai, and in an old building, that's understandable and didn't affect my stay. The breakfast options weren't extensive, but there was enough to eat, and the taste was decent, neither outstanding nor poor. The main draw here was definitely the ambiance. They didn't even notify guests in advance about the traffic restrictions due to a conference in the hotel area. I arrived in Shanghai in the afternoon and couldn't check in until 9:30 PM. The hotel had no contingency plans or measures in place. Many guests were quite upset at the time. Breakfast also required queuing, and the taste was mediocre with no particular highlights. When checking out, the staff didn't even bother to look up. Maybe they should all go for some training at a hotel like Atour (All Seasons) first.

Once again, staying at the Jing An Shangri-La, Shanghai felt just like coming home, and it was a truly rewarding experience. We booked a king room and a twin room for our family of three. When we requested rooms on the same floor, Lvy and Chloe from Guest Relations went above and beyond, even upgrading our rooms – we were incredibly touched! Even though it was plum rain season in Shanghai, with misty rain every day, standing by the large floor-to-ceiling window in the room offered unique views, near and far, allowing us to appreciate a different kind of scenery. Breakfast was as sumptuous as ever, the rooms were still incredibly comfortable, the environment offered a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle, and the surrounding area remained perfect for shopping and dining. Though it's an established five-star hotel, it exudes a fresh vibrancy within its rich heritage. Every visit here brings new discoveries and new experiences!

We booked the Kempinski for Children's Day, hoping to create a wonderful memory for our child. As a popular spot for its 'influencer-worthy' pool, the Kempinski truly lives up to its reputation. It has a distinct beauty both day and night, and I really felt the charm of Shanghai. The driver told me that many people come specifically to take photos of the hotel with the Oriental Pearl Tower – it’s a classic shot. Now for a few minor issues: Our room had a great view (as shown in the picture), but the bathroom felt a bit dated and wasn't ideal. For a bubble bath, the water pressure wasn't strong enough, and the bubbles didn't quite materialize. This is a small point. Also, I found the Black Forest cake to be just average. However, the burger we ordered for in-room dining (Picture 7) was absolutely delicious! It was huge, and I ate the whole thing. It came with truffle mayonnaise, and the patty was firm and juicy – highly, highly recommended! The price was definitely 'Kempinski-level,' but the taste, like private chef quality, was excellent. I asked for an extra children's amenity kit for the room, and they provided a small bag that even included a Children's Day toy (Picture 14). I also bought some ice cream, chocolates, and macarons from the lobby. The ice cream was the best – the strawberry flavor I had even had large pieces of real strawberry, which was a pleasant surprise! Ms. Julia Li was incredibly thoughtful and suggested I place the order through Dianping, showing great consideration for the customer. Big kudos to her! She was the only one who told me this, despite me buying items three times, so a special thank you!

I'm so glad I chose Puli for my birthday this year; it made for an unforgettable 27th birthday. First and foremost, a heartfelt thank you to the entire Puli team and staff, especially Candy Tang. (The handwritten birthday card had such beautiful and sincere penmanship!) High-end hotels are built on service and design. Design is silent order, and service is an invisible anticipation, creating a perfectly balanced atmosphere where you feel cared for but not disturbed. Honestly, this is a basic expectation for luxury hotels, so I wasn't expecting anything extraordinary. When booking, I simply mentioned I'd like a simple room setup and a small cake. However, the entire team gave me a huge surprise by upgrading my classic room to a deluxe suite. I'm incredibly grateful because, for the team, this wasn't a 'have to' but a 'chose to.' What moved me the most was the genuine well wishes I received from everyone during check-in. A special thank you here to Candy Tang, Hugo, and the entire Guest Experience Team. I've always admired Jaya's design. As someone with a background in interior design, I had the privilege of staying at The Legian in Bali, and I was deeply touched by Jaya's rustic and symmetrical aesthetic. Time seemed to slow down in that healing space. However, Bali's unique environmental advantages, in my opinion, only enhanced Jaya's design there. So, I was actually very curious to see how Jaya's design would translate to the heart of Shanghai. It's rare to find such a tranquil oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of Shanghai's prime city center. The entrance is discreetly hidden next to L'Oréal. As you step in, the light is first 'noise-canceled' from the urban chaos by the lilies of the valley at the entrance. To the right is an endless corridor, bathed in amber lighting paired with dark volcanic rock and ebony wood, leaving only a soft, uniform glow. It's no exaggeration to say that the moment you walk in, the brightness of the outside world is toned down, and a profound sense of calm washes over you. The lighting also adapts throughout the day, with cooler natural light during the daytime and beautifully rich, warm yellow light after dusk. When booking, I wondered if I'd get a newly renovated room or an older design. I decided to leave it to fate, though I secretly hoped to experience the original design. To my surprise, not only did I get my wish, but I was also upgraded to a suite over 100 square meters! When I entered the room in the afternoon, everything was already perfectly set up. Opening the door, I was truly touched deep down. Thank you to all the staff for their hard work behind the scenes, preparing a handwritten card, red wine, a small cake, fruit, and a fully stocked complimentary mini-bar. Everything was wonderful. Even better, a friend booked a beautiful restaurant for my birthday. While I was trying on dresses and high heels (brand new, unworn, hence placed on the table for a photo – I'm a considerate person!), someone rang the doorbell. It was my friend, presenting me with 199 roses! I nearly fainted from happiness! (My bonus pool kept growing!) Thank you, my dear Rita. I must praise Puli's bed. I personally prefer soft beds, and this one was incredibly embracing, likely a custom Simmons Black Label. I just crashed and fell asleep instantly. The suite itself has a small kitchenette to the left of the entrance and a small restroom to the right, followed by the living room. Turning right leads to the bed, and the wardrobe is also very spacious. To the left of the bed is a large washroom with double sinks, a bathtub, a shower, and a separate toilet. My friend and I were chatting about how perfect it would be for a long-term stay. We started calculating how much it would cost to rent for a month, and after doing the math, we fell silent and simply said, 'Work harder, and it will happen...' Hahahahahaha (Seriously, wealthy individuals, you should consider it!). The next day, a Saturday, there was also a wellness class – a very professional Vinyasa yoga instructor. It was such a lucky day! There were only three of us in the class: my friend, a newly acquainted sister named Kumiii Jiang, and myself. We had a wonderful chat after class. Afterward, the staff even gave me a late checkout! Hahahahaha. I also visited Sister Kumiii's room and saw the new design. It's noticeably brighter, retaining some of the rustic elements while incorporating more modern touches. The lighting is stronger, brighter, and more transparent, with added light beige elements. They also addressed the issue of the original design's narrow sink, which made it difficult to place items. Sister Kumiii was touched by my friend's and my friendship. I thought 'good things should be shared' and even asked the staff to move the heavy 199 flowers (grateful!) to her room, and she took photos. Finally, I want to thank the Puli Hotel and its team again. You made my 27th birthday truly unforgettable. While I believe service should be designed to be seamless, the kindness shown by all the staff, above and beyond their job descriptions, truly infused Puli with soul. Though I haven't stayed in countless hotels over the years, this particular experience, through a confluence of circumstances, was one that moved me deeply and will stay with me forever. We had a wonderful stay at W Shanghai – The Bund and would definitely choose to stay here again. The hotel is stylish, very clean, and the facilities are excellent. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. We really appreciated that they accommodated a late check-out after our flight was delayed, which made the end of our trip much less stressful. The breakfast buffet had a fantastic selection of both Western and Chinese dishes, with plenty of variety each morning. We also enjoyed spending time at the outdoor pool and fitness centre, both of which were well maintained. One of the highlights was the outdoor bar area overlooking the Bund – it’s a beautiful place to relax in the evening with amazing views of the Shanghai skyline. The location is excellent and within walking distance of the Bund, making it easy to explore the area on foot. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience and would highly recommend W Shanghai – The Bund to anyone visiting Shanghai. It offers great service, excellent facilities, and an unforgettable view.

The hotel's location is excellent, and cleanliness wasn't an issue. However, the facilities had some significant drawbacks. The bathroom door was very problematic; the toilet and shower shared the same glass door, which was extremely difficult to slide and very inconvenient (as shown in the picture). There were too few power outlets, making charging devices a hassle. The light switches weren't clearly marked, and the night light shone directly into your eyes. Regarding service, the younger male front desk staff member was rude and unprofessional. When I checked in, I wasn't the only guest, and he was impatient and impolite with everyone, not using any basic pleasantries. He also didn't inform me about any of the hotel's facilities; I had to find the laundry room myself later. At one point, a hotel call came in to the female staff member opposite him. She wasn't sure about the situation, hung up, and then asked the male staff member, who directly mocked the guest who had called for inquiries – that was completely out of line. He also made a point of pretending to be busy with other things (even though guests could see his screen and he clearly wasn't busy) before grudgingly responding to guest requests. Although the hotel's physical amenities aren't a major issue, I will not be staying here again due to the service attitude. Being next to a university, I'm sure they won't miss one guest.

I was worried it would take a long time and that the staff might become impatient, but she was incredibly patient throughout, without a hint of perfunctoriness or laxity. She clearly explained each step of the process item by item. For technical terms I didn't understand, she rephrased them in easy-to-understand language and explained them repeatedly. Thoughtfully, she took out a pen and paper, wrote down a detailed list of materials I needed to provide, and noted important considerations for each item, saving me from making multiple trips. While I was waiting for the procedures to be processed, she saw me standing and proactively guided me to the seating area, even offering me drinking water. Her attentiveness was evident in every detail. When handling the business, she was skilled and efficient, verifying information carefully and meticulously. She double-checked every detail with me to prevent any errors. Midway through, I added several additional questions related to various different services, and she answered each one in detail, proactively informing me about related benefits and precautions, showing incredible thoughtfulness. Throughout our entire interaction, her demeanor was appropriate, polite, and humble, and her speaking pace was just right. She showed empathy for the customer's difficulties and displayed no impatience or perfunctoriness. Her professionalism and service awareness were impeccable. It's precisely because of such a diligent, responsible, and thoughtful front desk employee that the overall image of the establishment has been greatly enhanced, making my entire process smooth and worry-free. Such excellent service deserves high praise. I've found a real gem in this modern tower. The hotel occupies floors 15 to 18, and the reception is a 10/10 – the staff are super friendly, they offer coffee, tea, and little pastries, and there's also a very comfortable coworking area. The rooms are like a small studio with a kitchenette: microwave, washing machine, dryer, a full-size fridge, and plenty of closet space. The bed and pillows are extremely comfortable, and the shower… wow! The water pressure is amazing, absolutely wonderful. The door is floor-to-ceiling, so steam from long showers doesn't escape into the rest of the room. The sink area is a bit small, but it's fine for one or two people. Special mention: the magnifying mirror and the Japanese toilet – a real luxury that I really appreciated. We were so comfortable that we ended up extending our stay by 3 more days. The only downside: the metro is about 1 km away, maybe a bit more. But the value for money is so good that what you save on the hotel easily covers a taxi ride. From now on, this will be my go-to place in Shanghai. Highly recommended. I'll definitely be back.
