This was a return stay, and it happened to coincide with a typhoon. The hotel service was excellent. When we checked out, Mr. Lin at the front desk helped us with our luggage and held an umbrella for us. We're very grateful! The breakfast was great. On the day of the typhoon, when we couldn't go out, we leisurely enjoyed breakfast, watching the Huangpu River and the heavy rain intertwine – time became warm. First DIY cocktail: Quite good. Minibar: Didn't use it, but there's Coke and Sprite, which young people probably like. Cleanliness: The cleaning auntie was very attentive. We stayed for 9 nights and got to know her well, which was nice.

The most delightful stay of our trip! The hotel is very close to the Bund, so we could take leisurely strolls along the river and soak in the Shanghainese charm. The room was clean and comfortable, with thoughtful touches everywhere. Our dedicated concierges, Echole and Vicky, provided gentle and impeccable service. At night, we could enjoy the dazzling night view of the Bund, taking in all the romance of this magical city. It's truly a rare and wonderful memory of our stay in Shanghai. I particularly loved the century-old elevator – pulling the iron gate felt like traveling through time, very cool! It would be perfect if there was an extra spot in the restroom to place a phone.

I booked a Deluxe Twin Room, which was spacious, bright, and well-lit, offering great comfort. The cleanliness was reassuring, and the functional layout was excellent. The lobby is grand and expansive, and the overall service was superb. The breakfast, while standard, showed a thoughtful touch. In short, it met all my expectations for Westin's standards. The hotel's location is fantastic, right next to the Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and the Bund intersection. You can even clearly see the 'Three-piece Suit' (Lujiazui skyline) from the hotel's rooftop terrace. The interior design is beautiful and very photogenic, and the overall cleanliness is excellent. The air conditioning in the room is very responsive to temperature and fan speed adjustments. The amenities are absolutely top-notch: the hairdryer is a Dyson, the toiletries are L'Occitane, and the slippers are thick and plush. The most pleasant surprise was having a choice between a down pillow and a latex pillow, which is a real plus for anyone with neck issues. The refrigerator in the room cools very well; a pudding I bought stayed perfectly fine for two days, unlike some hotel fridges that barely cool at all. The self-service laundry room downstairs has separate washing machines and dryers. I had a piece of clothing that wasn't completely dry when I arrived, and after drying it downstairs, it was soft, dry, and completely odorless. It's clear that even though it's a shared facility, the cleaning and disinfection are very thorough. The hotel also has a delivery robot, so any takeout you order is promptly sent up by the front desk via the robot. All in all, the entire stay was perfectly comfortable and I highly recommend it.

For this trip, we chose the Pudong Shangri-La. The hotel's Guest Relations Manager, Lynn, provided excellent and thoughtful service. She prepared our room in advance and arranged an upgrade to a higher floor room with a view of the 'Three-Piece Set' (referring to the iconic Lujiazui skyline), and even arranged a late check-out for us. We are very satisfied with her service. The hotel's location is also very convenient, making travel quite easy. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a fantastic view. Although the hotel shows some age, it is well-maintained. Overall, we are very pleased with our stay.

Location is right beside the bund but because of that, traffic can be horrible. There’s no sheltered drop off bay, so if it rains, you will get a bit of rain when you get out of the car to the hotel. I am impressed with the free laundry and dryer provided but there’s only 3 washers and 3 dryers. Good thing is that you can track their use on the tv. Breakfast selection is quite ok, cooked disheschanges everyday except for the standard fares and fruits.

Annie, Petter, and Clover at the front desk were incredibly attentive. They helped us with umbrellas and luggage storage, which was a lifesaver as we experienced a typhoon and couldn't go out. However, the night view from our window was absolutely stunning! We could enjoy the 'three-piece set' (likely referring to iconic buildings) and the Oriental Pearl Tower without even leaving the room, thanks to the fantastic location. The room itself was smart and very clean, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a clothesline in the shower area. There's also a free laundry room, and even though there was a bit of a queue, it was super convenient for summer business travel. The hotel's location is excellent; you can walk to Chenghuang Temple, Yu Garden, The Bund, and Nanjing Road if you're not too lazy. The breakfast was also very good. Highly recommend! There's a Spanish restaurant on The Bund that I'd recommend; it's delicious.

My kid found this hotel online and insisted on staying here. I initially thought it was a bit pricey, but I couldn't say no to them, so I reluctantly booked it. However, as soon as we entered the room, we were absolutely stunned by the beautiful view! The Oriental Pearl Tower was right before our eyes, along with blue skies, white clouds, and the Huangpu River! Truly unbeatable! It felt totally worth it. The only thing is that all the drinks in the mini-bar cost extra, so we didn't end up having any. 🤭 I'd suggest the hotel offer complimentary drinks to guests traveling with kids! ✌️

It would definitely be even better with a few more staff on hand. A special thanks to the front desk staff who were a huge help during our stay. Five stars, hands down! We chose this audio-visual room for our trip to Shanghai, and the location is absolutely incredible. It's just a few minutes' walk to the City God Temple and Yu Garden, and also very close to the Bund, making it super convenient for sightseeing and dining. The room was clean and odor-free, the bedding was soft, and the soundproofing was excellent – it was really quiet. The giant 4K projector and surround sound system, with plenty of content and easy phone mirroring, really created a private cinema experience. After gaming, we just snuggled up and watched movies. Check-in at the front desk was quick, and they were very responsive and helpful. For a downtown location, the value for money is outstanding. We'll definitely stay here again next time we're in Shanghai. Highly recommended for couples!

The location is superb, within walking distance of Yu Garden and the City God Temple, and also walkable to the Bund and Nanjing Road. Yu Garden is less than a 10-minute walk away. Nearby, at Gangcheng Mingdu, you can find Haidilao hot pot and mala tang. There's also a convenience store just over the overpass. When I returned to the hotel in the evening, there was supper available. The self-service laundry was very convenient, and the lobby offered free herbal tea and hot tea. A great bonus was the shuttle service to Yu Garden, the Bund, Xintiandi, and Yunnan Road Food Street.

This was our 3rd stay at Atour Hotels in China. All 3 locations, ie GuangZhou, Foshan and Shanghai, have the same high standards. Hotel room was clean, well maintained and comfy. Location is excellent as it’s near The Bund and short walk to Nanjing Pedestrian Street. Breakfast spread was great and they also serve free porridge for supper nightly from 9.30-11pm too. You can also do your own laundry FOC and the service staffs even help to transfer your laundry from washer to dryer and when completed they will pack your cleaned and dry clothings into a bag for your pickup. Again we are very happy with our 5-nights stay with Atour Hotel. Keep up with the great service !

Finally got to experience the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund, and it was fantastic: 1. **Prime Location:** Absolutely the best spot on the Bund. You can step right out to the Bund morning or night. 2. **Top-notch Service:** The lobby was full of very courteous staff who were always ready to help. If they caught your eye, they'd offer a friendly smile. The doormen outside, as soon as they saw your room card, would warmly say, 'Welcome back!' They'd also help with luggage, both getting in and out of the car, making you feel truly at home. The air conditioning and the thick duvet made the room temperature uncomfortable. I called the front desk at 2 AM, and someone quickly came with an engineer to check the AC. Although the problem wasn't solved, their prompt response was commendable. While I was on my phone at breakfast, a waiter proactively and thoughtfully brought me a phone stand. During checkout, they even asked about my stay experience. Overall, this level of service is rare; it made me feel like a valued guest and truly enhanced my Shanghai trip. I will definitely choose the Waldorf Astoria again.

1️⃣ The hotel is located in a historic building on the Bund. While its luxury might not compare to other high-end hotels in the same price range, staying in a historic building right on the pedestrian street offers a unique and fulfilling emotional experience. 2️⃣ Turn left from the hotel and you'll find the Peace Hotel and the Bund. Turn right and walk a few hundred meters to reach the start of Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and a Metro Line 2 station. The location is absolutely perfect. 3️⃣ The room isn't particularly luxurious but it's very clean and tidy. The bathroom has a wet/dry separation but isn't very spacious, which is understandable for an old building. The room also has a fridge and a coffee machine (the fridge comes with complimentary Coke and Sprite). 4️⃣ Regarding the balcony: Being on the seventh floor with good soundproofing, there's no need to worry about noise from the pedestrian street disturbing your rest at night. The balcony isn't huge, but it's big enough for two people to chat and enjoy a drink or meal facing each other – it's not as cramped as I imagined. There's also space to hang clothes. As for taking photos, due to the floor level and high railings, it's a bit tricky to find the best angles (or maybe my photography skills are just terrible 😢), but you can still capture some memorable shots. Just check out the pictures. 5️⃣ Finally, I want to mention the service. From luggage storage before check-in to check-out, the service was excellent. The staff were very gentlemanly, patiently answering all questions. Highly recommend.

I am very happy to stay at this hotel because its location is very strategic, with a lot of food vendors right in front of the hotel. It is close to Yu Garden and the metro a walk of less than 5 minutes gets you there. The receptionist, XingZi, is very friendly and extremely helpful. She kindly upgraded our room, which was initially too small, to a larger room with a bigger bed. XingZi also helped me a lot in managing my Taobao package delivery that I hadn't received. My family and I highly recommend this hotel and are very satisfied with XingZi's service, thank you 😊

For our wedding anniversary, they sent a congratulatory message along with an Edition cake and fruit. The next day, we received more fruit and chocolates, which were delicious. The service was top-notch, even among 5-star hotels. Every evening, water and glasses were placed on our bedside table, and slippers were conveniently laid out next to the bed. The room service attendant even wrote a handwritten note wishing us a pleasant trip. Yona, our room attendant, was particularly outstanding; she responded to any requests in the fastest possible time. At check-out, she even gifted us an Edition hat, leaving us with a truly lasting impression of the hotel. Breakfast was ordered directly from a Michelin-starred restaurant, which made it hygienic, neat, and allowed us to enjoy our meal with elegant plating. Another special touch I'd like to commend is the idea of serving bottled water in cans.

An absolutely wonderful experience! **Facilities:** Even though it's an older hotel, I was initially worried the facilities might be outdated. But when I arrived, I realized there was no need to worry at all. The overall vibe is one of rich heritage and understated luxury, without feeling old-fashioned. I personally loved it. **Hygiene:** The hygiene was excellent; I didn't notice any issues. **Environment:** Simply fantastic. Both the hotel itself and the guests staying there collectively create an atmosphere that made me feel it was truly great value for money. This is a hotel with genuinely sincere service and a superb location, well worth experiencing. I absolutely loved it.

And 27ml of shampoo isn't even enough for long hair, though it might be okay for short hair. It really doesn't match the price of the room. The staff in the lobby were always rushing around and almost bumped into people; generally, they didn't even greet guests. Check-out wasn't quick, which was a real waste of time. And there's no need to constantly ask if we've eaten the peanuts or had the drinks. If we eat or drink something, we'll naturally pay for it. With such an expensive room rate, we wouldn't bother with such small economies.

Location is the biggest advantage. It’s about a 5-minute walk to Yu Garden and the nearby bazaar area, with a metro station literally just across the street. Getting around from here is very easy, whether you’re heading to tourist spots or other parts of the city. The room itself was clean and well-maintained. A nice modern touch is the delivery robot service, which handles in-house deliveries efficiently. You can also order from Taobao and have packages sent directly to the hotel before check-in, which is quite convenient for early arrivals or shopping-heavy trips. One downside is the package handling system. Deliveries are left in a shared corner area with other guests’ items, so you need to sort through and find yours yourself—there’s no organized storage or labeling beyond that. Laundry is free and available 24/7, which is a big plus for longer stays. However, there are only two machines, so you may need to queue during busy hours. Overall, it’s a very accessible and practical stay, especially for travelers who value location and convenience over extra hotel services.

I came to Shanghai to apply for a visa and spent a long time looking for a hotel on the app. This one has a great location, just a few minutes' walk from the visa center, and right next to the Bund. After I finished my business, I could conveniently go sightseeing around the Bund and buy some local specialties for my family. The hotel is in a historical heritage building, which gives it a lot of character. The room wasn't huge, but it had everything we needed. The front desk service was excellent. A staff member named Bubu checked us in very quickly and even gave us a map of nearby tourist attractions. She was very helpful and enthusiastic, and whenever we had questions, she responded immediately without any impatience. One night, we couldn't find the curtains to close, and a staff member came right away to help us. It turned out there was a zipper on the side of the window frame, which was quite hidden. When we checked out, we were able to store our luggage at the front desk, and the staff gave us luggage claim tags, which was very convenient.

The hotel's location is excellent, close to everything, and the surroundings are great. The river view rooms are especially fantastic, right next to an art museum that seems to be quite popular. It's so convenient to take a stroll by the river or snap photos of Lujiazui in the evening. Dining and shopping are all within a 5-minute walk. The breakfast is also very rich, making it a perfect spot for a summer vacation. The only downside is that when I checked in on Sunday afternoon, I was starving and wanted to heat up some food using the microwave at the hotel lobby bar. The server told me it was broken, haha. For such a large hotel, a broken microwave could be replaced or repaired, right? Leaving it at the bar indefinitely seems odd. If it wasn't broken, then it's a customer service issue, and their basic etiquette needs urgent improvement! Luckily, I asked the neighboring main restaurant, and their staff kindly heated my food for me – thumbs up to their microwave! And guess what, when I left today, the 'broken' microwave was still sitting there.

Park Hyatt Shanghai I finally got to experience the Park Hyatt Shanghai. I'd heard it was an older hotel, but after staying there, I didn't find it dated at all; it's still fantastic overall. The Park Hyatt Shanghai was designed by Tony Chi. The lobby isn't overtly luxurious but uses a blend of wood, stone, artwork, and Eastern elements to create a tranquil yet sophisticated sense of space. Even after many years, this design remains timeless. The Park Hyatt has been around for two decades. You pass through a bamboo grove to reach the hotel entrance, then through multiple doorways and a high-ceilinged, spacious corridor to find the elevators to the lobby. As you delve deeper, the city's noise gradually fades until you arrive at the sky lobby on the 87th floor, where the view dramatically opens up, offering panoramic vistas of Lujiazui. This time, I booked an Oriental Pearl Tower River View King Room, specifically room 8402. The floor-to-ceiling windows directly face the Jin Mao Tower and the Oriental Pearl Tower, and you can even glimpse the Bund. The charm of the Park Hyatt Shanghai's Oriental Pearl Tower view rooms isn't just the city skyline outside; it's also the interior space itself. The room continues the Park Hyatt's consistent understated aesthetic, never overtly flashy with luxury, yet full of thoughtful details. Centered on modern Eastern aesthetics, it eschews the elaborate decorations of traditional luxury hotels, making extensive use of dark wood veneers, natural stone, leather, and art pieces to create a subdued and refined atmosphere. Warm lighting, a restrained color palette, and clean lines give the entire room a sense of tranquility and relaxation beyond the high-altitude views, allowing you to experience Shanghai's unique urban aesthetic among the clouds. The room slippers were incredibly comfortable. The bathrobe felt a bit rough after putting it on. The toiletries were Le Labo Bergamote 22, and a Dyson hairdryer was provided. The minibar in the room is chargeable, but the butler delivered welcome desserts and fruit, and a bottle of champagne arrived after check-in. Sipping champagne while gazing at the view outside truly elevated the experience. The breakfast restaurant is Century 100, located on the 91st floor, offering a semi-buffet and à la carte options. The beef noodles, eggs Benedict, and waffles were excellent, and the breakfast quality overall was very good with well-prepared dishes. Having stayed in many city hotels, the Park Hyatt Shanghai gave me a feeling of being economically prosperous. The service, as expected from Park Hyatt, was consistently excellent – not overly zealous, but always meticulous, natural, and just right, making the entire stay very comfortable. Truly sophisticated design is never about that initial 'wow' factor; it's about growing to love it more after you've settled in and finding it more and more enjoyable with each stay. This is what impressed me most about the Park Hyatt Shanghai, and it's why I'd be willing to return for a second visit. Many people find the Park Hyatt Shanghai too minimalistic, but to me, it's a classic and very aesthetically pleasing. Of course, everyone has their own opinion, and hotel experiences are inherently subjective. Finally, I'd like to thank Miumiu and Jerry, as well as Tommy Bao from the concierge on the first floor. Their service was impeccable, and I wouldn't have had such a great experience without them. I hope they receive proper recognition!

My last stop in Shanghai was a fantastic experience. The hotel staff were all incredibly diligent and responsible, with very friendly attitudes. The front desk answered calls promptly, and the public areas had a unique and beautiful design. The luggage space in the room was very generous, which was practical. Because I'd had some unpleasant experiences at other hotels previously, I specifically requested several hygiene-related accommodations this time. The hotel implemented all of them before check-in and even proactively communicated with me to confirm, going so far as to upgrade my room. After housekeeping cleaned the next day, a dedicated staff member even came up to double-check. During my stay, I didn't see any bugs, and the bedding was very clean – I'd say it's the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. The only minor drawback was that it was quite hard to get a ride-sharing car using my phone. I heard the hotel can help arrange taxis, but I didn't try it. However, walking from the hotel to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the Aquarium, or Super Brand Mall isn't too far, and strolling there in the evening with a breeze blowing was quite pleasant. I wish the hotel continued success and hope they maintain this standard. This will definitely be my top choice for future visits to Shanghai.

The only downside: The facilities are indeed a bit old, lacking modern amenities like smart toilets. Pros: Great location! I personally feel it's even better than the Heping location. The Stock Exchange Museum and the World Living Room are within walking distance. Excellent service! Especially the photography studio on the second floor of the hotel, the photographer's skills are great, and the prices are reasonable. There's also the elderly master who gave us a history tour of the hotel, speaking for over an hour from the 16th-floor platform down to the lobby – the讲解 was fantastic! Even after we'd arrived home, the front desk called to ask if we had forgotten some toiletries. The service is definitely five-star! The executive floor and front desk staff were also very welcoming and promptly resolved any issues we had!

The room view is absolutely stunning! I was told there are only two rooms of this type facing the Bund, and you can see the Oriental Pearl Tower from here. The room is spacious and very comfortable, and the minibar is complimentary. Breakfast was decent, pretty standard. What's really great is that you can order room service 24/7, and the food is delicious. The butler was also always available for communication online. We went to Prince Restaurant on the 2nd floor, and even though it was only half an hour before closing, they welcomed us. One dish was a bit spicy, so the chef kindly remade it for us. The two wonderful staff members (a man and a woman) stayed with us the whole time, which was incredibly thoughtful. Highly recommend this place, I'll definitely come back!

The location is excellent, quiet in the bustle. You can directly watch the Huangpu River view from the room, which is especially beautiful at night. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and took us to the room. The breakfast was quite satisfactory, not many varieties. I asked for poached eggs, and they actually had 2 eggs fried together. Other hotels I have stayed at had fried eggs one at a time, which was good. The price-performance ratio is extremely high at the same price. The 2-bedroom apartment is spacious and comfortable for a family. After comparing the Westin hotel rooms at the same price, I decided to choose the sea view!

Excellent! It was exactly the river view room we wanted, and the customer service representative did a great job arranging it. The river view was fantastic both day and night. Before I even arrived, my butler, Yukiiii, proactively called me to confirm my arrival time and preferences. Since I was arriving early that day, she actively helped coordinate an early check-in. While I understood it depended on room availability, she consistently followed up, ultimately allowing us to check in smoothly ahead of schedule. This kind of service makes you feel like your pleasant stay has already begun before you even reach the hotel. During my stay, communication was primarily through WeChat. Whether I had questions or requests, Yukiiii's replies were incredibly prompt, often almost instant, and she handled things very efficiently, making the entire process completely stress-free. Good butler service isn't about constantly making their presence known, but about being there the moment you need them. The room also had fresh flowers, a welcome fruit platter, desserts, red wine, and a handwritten welcome card. The sense of occasion was perfectly pitched – not overly deliberate, but genuinely making you feel the hotel's thoughtfulness. Every small detail added warmth to this stay, making it feel like more than just a night at a hotel, but a memorable experience. The hotel itself was equally surprising. The architecture retains the classic charm of the Bund's historical buildings while incorporating modern design language, resulting in elegance and quality. Outside the window, you have the Huangpu River and the Lujiazui skyline, offering completely different charms by day and night. Every corner of the room is perfect for capturing memories, and any casual photo turns out beautifully. Finally, I really want to extend a special thank you to Yukiiii. From the pre-arrival communication to every response during my stay, and even her concern before I checked out, I felt her professionalism, attentiveness, and sincerity throughout. Many hotels have excellent hardware, but what truly makes people want to choose them again is often this kind of service. This stay has also made me better understand why so many people love the Regent brand. I look forward to staying at the Regent Shanghai on the Bund again on my next visit to Shanghai.

The main issues lie with the afternoon tea and happy hour. For afternoon tea, the Puerh tea was already dry. As for the happy hour noodles, I'm not sure what the chef was thinking – they were cooked, then cooked again, left to sit, and then cooked one more time when ordered. Do they think all guests are grandmas? **Facilities:** My room was upgraded for free, and it was very spacious. The only drawback is that you have to step into the bathtub to use the shower, which isn't ideal, but it's understandable given the hotel's 90s foundational layout. **Hygiene:** The hygiene was excellent. My only minor complaint was the insufficient hand soap.

The hotel is exceptionally comfortable, and its location is perfect—making it very convenient to travel anywhere in the city. The service from every member of the staff was outstanding, especially Ms. Alisa at the front desk. She was incredibly warm, professional, and attentive throughout my stay. Her genuine hospitality made me feel truly welcomed and cared for. My initial booking was for just five days, but I loved it so much that I extended my stay twice, ending up with a total of 16 days here. Out of the three hotels, Donghu excelled in location, room size, and staff attitude. I was particularly impressed with the prompt housekeeping; the cleaning staff on the third, fourth, and fifth floors were all wonderful. The transportation is also very convenient, with various bus routes and subway lines nearby, making it easy to reach most attractions.

It's been beautifully renovated while perfectly preserving the historical charm of the Shikumen architecture. The area has a wonderful local vibe, and it's super convenient – just a five-minute walk to Jing'an Temple metro station, making it easy to get anywhere. My family really loved this little courtyard home. It was a fantastic experience and much better value than staying in a chain hotel. After comparing several hotels, I decisively booked this Atour Hotel near Jing'an Temple and Nanjing West Road. The hotel's location is truly unbeatable, surrounded by popular Instagrammable spots, making it super convenient for exploring with kids. I specifically booked the Little Yellow Duck-themed family room on Ctrip, which my kids absolutely adore. It was full of childlike fun, and they were incredibly happy when we checked in. The hotel facilities are perfectly suited for families traveling with children. There's a 24-hour self-service laundry room with a dryer, which was a huge lifesaver for washing the kids' clothes during our trip. Every night at 9:30 PM, they also offer complimentary warm late-night congee. After a long day of sightseeing, a bowl of that was so comforting and heartwarming, making us feel right at home. The hotel's service was thoughtful and attentive, the living environment clean and comfortable, and all the amenities were complete and well-maintained. It fully met all our family travel needs and offered fantastic value for money. This is definitely our top choice for traveling with kids!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the hotel manager, Lucy, warmly welcomed us and ensured a smooth and efficient check-in process. She kindly arranged a room on the 16th floor with a breathtaking view, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The room was spacious, clean, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast was good, offering both European and local dishes. While the selection was not extensive, the quality of the food was very satisfying. One of the hotel’s greatest advantages is its outstanding location. There are countless shopping opportunities within walking distance, with something to suit every taste and preference. Restaurants, cafes, and major attractions are also conveniently nearby. A special thank you to Lucy and the entire team for their exceptional hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail. We truly felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout our stay. Booked the Jiaotong Concert and immediately reserved a stay at Fenyang Garden Hotel, which is conveniently close. We were able to check in early upon arrival. My friends and I had lunch at the hotel restaurant. The 4-person set meal was too much for 5 of us, but the food was fresh, varied, and delicious. We had the leftovers packed and stored at the restaurant. For dinner, we dined at the hotel restaurant again, ordered a few dim sum dishes, and to our delight, the chef re-heated and artfully plated our packed leftovers – a truly touching gesture. The hotel's ambiance is elegant and tranquil, perfect for photos. Our room had a balcony, was clean and tidy, and well-equipped. For afternoon tea, the hotel provided complimentary fruit, small snacks, and a free mini-bar with beer, soda, etc. Enjoying a cup of coffee on the balcony, with its wrought-iron railings, reflecting the red tiles and green leaves, bathed in the soft, fragmented sunlight and a gentle breeze, while listening to the evening concert's melodies – it was a wonderfully relaxing and ritualistic afternoon tea experience. The front desk and restaurant staff were proactive and attentive. The doorman at the main entrance could use further training, but the management handled issues promptly, professionally, and effectively.

It's situated in the Caojiadu commercial area, within walking distance of Jing'an Temple and Zhongshan Park. Wanhangdu Road is right downstairs, making it convenient for dining and shopping. 🔊 **Soundproofing is a major flaw** This really needs to be complained about! I could clearly hear conversations from the next room, and at night, there was a frequent, very noticeable ”woo-loong woo-loong” noise in the room, which felt like it might be due to aging water pipes or air conditioning ducts. I'm not sure what it was, but it sounded like a tractor. If you're sensitive to noise, I recommend bringing earplugs. 🍳 **Breakfast is indeed plentiful** I have to praise the breakfast; the variety was excellent, with both Chinese and Western options. The live noodle station offered scallion oil noodles and mini wontons, which tasted great. The fruit section had red dragon fruit and wax apples, which is more generous than many hotels at a similar price point. The breakfast hours are long, which is great for late risers. 🏨 **Renovation is good, but it's clearly an older hotel** A The lobby and public areas are quite grand, and the room was spacious and bright with expansive views from the floor-to-ceiling windows. The bedding was comfortable. However, the facilities clearly show that it's an older hotel, with some equipment noticeably aged. Nevertheless, the hygiene is well-maintained. 💁 **Front desk service is excellent** The front desk staff were very enthusiastic, check-in was swift, and requests were handled promptly. **Summary:** Great location, fantastic breakfast, and attentive service, but the soundproofing and aging facilities are definite drawbacks. Whether you get a good night's sleep might really depend on luck.

First, let's talk about the airports. It's super convenient to get to and from Pudong and Hongqiao airports. Just take Exit 14 of Line 2, and no matter how much luggage you have, you can get directly to the hotel effortlessly. Next, the hotel's location is excellent, right in the core area of Jing'an Temple. Jiuguang Department Store is just a stone's throw away, a mere 30-50 meter walk. Now, about the hotel's service: Ms. Ma was fantastic. She was very observant and great at conversation. When she saw us holding bread, she recommended some excellent local brands. Seeing us wearing Lululemon, she told us about the Lululemon outlet at Bicester Village. And when she noticed us drinking coffee, she immediately suggested the hotel's cappuccino. She has that clever Shanghai wit combined with northern Chinese hospitality – truly wonderful. Finally, regarding room service, they were incredibly responsive. Ice arrived within two minutes, and towels were delivered right away!

There are plenty of food options nearby, though after 9 PM, food delivery from the malls becomes scarcer, but you can still find many items to order. The breakfast selection is also very rich, with Chinese options like congee, noodles, wontons, savory soy milk, tofu pudding, bread, and fruit. You can definitely fill up if you're not too picky. For late-night snacks, they offer simple white congee, millet congee, and some pickles. It's really comforting to have a warm bowl of congee at night. Coming back to the hotel at night, you can also do your laundry and even dry it, which doesn't affect your travel mood at all.

在這裏累計住了7+2+2+3一共14天，還算有發言權，有幾句話不吐不快（加號是續房）先説優點：這條街很棒，很多有意思有品位的店屋子裡有幾本好書説缺點吧：衞生條件一般，廁所馬桶反味嚴重，我入住期間累計用過小林廁所除臭，香水，線香，精油香薰，效果平平，很是苦惱。浴室下水道很容易堵，且不好清理。住到後面不太敢在屋裡洗頭髮甚至。蟎蟲問題嚴重。入住第二天我開始過敏，用葯不管用在退房之前去了醫院，到現在也還沒好。時間觀念很差，中間跟房東提出希望換一下床品，因為有一個網上會議約好保潔於15:15之後到。房東因為沒有鑰匙提出讓我留下鑰匙。實際上14:47的時候阿姨直接進屋，在我提出需要稍等之後，阿姨離開，表示那就來不及了，最終沒換浴巾沒換四件套。最後，我認為屋內風格與網上描述有些差距，作為一個設計師為噱頭的民宿，連我都能看出來屋內設計很混亂。一開始500左右的價格是性價比的，續到最後900一天我覺得已經不具備推薦價值了。第一次寫長評，寫完舒服多了。

We stayed in the Villa Executive Double Room and had a fantastic experience. The room was located on a high floor, and the views from the bedroom were absolutely amazing. For us, the view was what really made the stay so special. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable, with an exceptionally comfortable bed. We also really enjoyed the Executive Lounge access included with the room. The staff there were attentive, professional, and provided excellent service throughout our stay. Breakfast offered a great selection of food, with plenty of options to choose from. The only downside was that it could get quite busy during peak times. We loved the swimming pool facilities, especially the hot pool and sauna. In fact, we wish we had spent more time there during our stay because it was so relaxing and enjoyable. The hotel's location is excellent. Situated in the French Concession area near Huaihai Road, it is close to the metro and within walking distance of many of Shanghai's main attractions. The hotel is beautifully decorated, and we even loved its signature scent. The Art Deco-style lobby is particularly impressive. Overall, the hotel felt very professional and welcoming, and we had a wonderful experience. We would happily stay here again.

This hotel, which has been operating for many years, was once considered a boutique establishment. I finally decided to fulfill my long-standing desire to stay here, as I wasn't driving this time. The room was quite spacious, and you could tell from the architecture and the original decor that a lot of thought went into it back in the day. To be honest, my stay left me a bit concerned. The original design has a high step between the bed and living room areas, and there's another step in the living room itself. With the dim, greenish lighting, I was constantly worried about tripping while moving around. The light switches, though innovative for their time, are now hard to figure out due to age and lack of instructions. The shower design, with its seating area, was quite thoughtful for its era. However, the shower door has no sealing strip to keep water in, and the showerhead is just mounted on a fixed holder that doesn't swivel. You literally have to hold the showerhead while showering, which was quite unexpected. The toilet seat seems to be a later replacement, and it's completely mismatched and ill-fitting. 😓😓😓 What truly baffled me was that the 'clean' towels provided on the second day had visible stains, as shown in the picture. While I'm sure they were disinfected, offering such towels to guests is simply unacceptable. It's especially frustrating that in an age where most hotels offer late check-out, I received a call reminding me about check-out just half an hour beforehand, with the excuse that many guests were checking in that day. As someone who stays in hotels over 200 days a year, I can tell you that's no excuse; it reflects a shortage of housekeeping staff and disorganized management. I will not be staying at this hotel again! As a Trip.com Black Diamond member, I stand by my review.

The bedding is comfortable, and the toiletries are Diptyque. Breakfast is fresh with new items introduced weekly. Overall, I highly recommend it; if I'm on a business trip nearby again, I'll definitely choose to stay here.

The rooms at Andaz Xintiandi are decent; you can tell the older hotel is being maintained, and it's not in terrible condition. For those considering staying here, pay close attention, as this is my first negative review this year, and I'll objectively explain where the service falls short. Upon arriving at Andaz, the doorman didn't proactively greet me when I got out of the car, nor did he help with my luggage. Only after I took my bags out of the trunk did he symbolically come over to take them, without saying a word or greeting me. As soon as I entered the building, he just dropped my luggage and went back to the door? I was utterly baffled. For a hotel supposedly on par with Grand Hyatt, is this the first impression they want to make? The overall check-in process was fine, though it felt cramped and uncomfortable, with no available seating. The second point that made me extremely uncomfortable was when I went downstairs to swim. There was no one at the gym reception to greet me. A man in a suit, who looked like a manager, glanced at me when I stood at the reception desk, then pretended not to see me and continued talking to other staff. I watched as I was completely ignored. Is your chat more important than a guest's needs? If I hadn't raised my voice to ask where the pool was, they wouldn't have bothered with me at all. My enthusiasm for swimming was completely gone. The pool was also full of unruly kids, hogging space and splashing everywhere, and the lifeguard did nothing. If it weren't for the decent front desk staff, I wouldn't give any points for service. Friends looking for comfort should definitely avoid this place. Based on my experience this time, I will absolutely not choose this hotel again, and probably not even any Andaz hotel!

FAR EAST HOTEL APARTMENT. The location is superb, just a 5-minute walk from Exit 1 of Renmin Square Metro Station. The decor is simple and stylish, making for a very comfortable stay. My booking also included a drink voucher for the sixth-floor bar and a cultural T-shirt. The one-bedroom apartment with a living room and balcony came with a small kitchen and mini-bar, and they thoughtfully even provided lychees. The front desk service was polite and attentive. The only minor issue was that the washing machine was a bit too powerful and washed off the logo on my clothes. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'll definitely be back!

Initially, I booked for 2 nights, but due to changes in my travel plans, I wanted to extend to 4 nights. During my stay, I inquired about the monthly rate for a long-term stay. A staff member took down my contact information and promised that a colleague would follow up, but I never received any callback, even by check-out. Each time we extended our stay, we had to go to the front desk to reactivate our room key cards. The lobby is on the 38th floor, requiring an elevator transfer. The underground parking lot lacks clear hotel signage, so if you're driving, you have to figure out the route yourself. Parking costs 50 yuan per day. The biggest drawback of this experience was the obvious flaw in internal communication. I had requested a late check-out until 2 PM. However, at noon, I received multiple calls from housekeeping and had staff knocking on my door repeatedly asking about extending our stay or checking out. The constant disturbance ultimately forced me to check out early with my child and move to another hotel. The lobby staff were polite on the surface, but they lacked proactive service awareness. I was traveling with a child, and not once did anyone offer slippers or bath towels (I brought my own toiletries, so this is just an objective observation). Compared to hotels of a similar caliber, there's a significant gap in the meticulousness of their service, which I believe is the main reason for the branch's low overall rating.

The owner was very kind. Our group requested a late check-out because our flight was late, and the owner generously allowed us a bit of extra time, which was great. The hotel's location is pretty good, close to a subway entrance. It's not far from the Site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Sihang Warehouse, the Bund, and the City God Temple – all accessible by bus or subway. Picture 1 was taken at the hotel, and Picture 3 was taken on the way to the Sihang Warehouse. The environment is also decent, though the soundproofing is just okay. There was some construction going on near our room at the time. The hotel facilities are a bit old, but the cleanliness is alright. Breakfast offers both Chinese and Western options, but the variety and taste are quite average. Noodles and mini wontons have to be ordered separately from a window, but they are free. There were many foreigners of various ethnicities. About 400 meters from the hotel, there's a Shanghai restaurant called ”Shanghai No. 1” that's worth trying; it's popular with local Shanghainese. Hope this helps everyone!

The hotel is as central as you can get in Shanghai and is in a beautiful and historic old building that dates from early last century. It is surrounded by restaurants, has a metro line around the corner and has a theatre and even a Starbucks on its doorstep (which compensates a little for not having breakfast available in the hotel). My room was very spacious and well equipped with a powerful rain-shower and small bath, tea and coffee making facilities, a very comfortable bed and excellent wi-fi. The room and hotel in general is a little dated but doesn’t suffer from this. The reception on the first floor is nicely appointed and is accessed via a lift or beautiful stone staircase from street level. Staff are very helpful and welcoming. Rooms are quiet given the roadside proximity and I slept soundly each night. The Bund was about a 25 minute walk at night and there were lots of malls and restaurants to choose from just a stroll from the hotel itself- we ate at a Turkish-style bistro about 10 minutes walk away on the first night which was great value, and had a real buzz. There are also some nice bars nearby for a late night drink before bed. Overall, I would highly recommend as a weekend stopover option for central Shanghai, with metro accessibility and lots to do nearby.

It's not too far to get anywhere by taxi, and you can even cycle to Nanjing Road for shopping, which is quite convenient. The service was very attentive and friendly. I really should have booked for a couple more days, but when I tried to extend my stay, it was already fully booked. My only minor suggestion is that the soundproofing is a bit lacking since the rooms are quite close together. You can clearly hear activity from neighboring rooms and the hallway, especially if people are coming back late or traveling in groups. This caused a slight disturbance to my sleep in the mornings and evenings.

The hotel is actually the Super 8 (Bashi Kuaijie) on the second floor, while Jinjiang Inn is upstairs. The room is small, but that's acceptable given Shanghai's high hotel prices. There's just enough space to open a suitcase, which is fine for one person. I appreciate that there's a window to the outside. The location is super convenient; you can get to Chenghuang Temple by shared bike, and the subway is close by. I'd stayed here for a night or two before and found it decent, so I chose this good-value hotel again for my solo trip. As before, there are only two small towels and no large bath towels, which I was prepared for. However, they didn't change the bedsheets for all three nights this time, which I'm not too happy about. Although food delivery can only be left in a designated area in the lobby, the elevator doesn't require a key card to access the second floor. I hope they can improve security to match the Jinjiang Inn upstairs, at least requiring a card to operate the elevator, to avoid such a big difference and a feeling of hierarchy.

It is less than 300 meters east of the People's Square subway station, and you can walk straight from the intersection of the 14th subway station without any twists and turns. 2. Convenient transportation. Self-driving vehicles can also drive directly downstairs, and there are parking lots around the building. People's Square Subway Station has three subway lines, which can directly reach Pudong Airport, Hongqiao Airport, Shanghai Railway Station, Shanghai South Railway Station, Nanjing East Road, Xujiahui, Lujiazui, Century Park, Zhongshan Park, Lu Xun Park, Peace Park, museums, and the Chinese Art Museum , Oriental Sports Center, Jiaotong University... 3. I found this Puyan Hotel last minute for a business trip to Shanghai. The location is incredibly convenient. You can see the hotel right outside Exit 5 of Dashijie Metro Station, which serves both Line 8 and Line 14. The hotel lobby is clean and bright. The room hygiene was also excellent. All the service staff were very polite. The front desk staff were also incredibly helpful and patient. They even offered to help with my luggage, which was a nice touch. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Shanghai. It's close to many popular attractions. I'll definitely book here again next time I'm in Shanghai. Thank you to all the staff.

Also, the air conditioning is a central system. Even with outdoor temperatures around 25-28 degrees Celsius in the evening, setting it to 23 degrees didn't provide cooling or dehumidification. The view is good with a large window, but the screen is damaged and needs repairing. Another suggestion is to avoid putting the hairdryer in a black velvet bag; those bags shed a lot, and often I find myself having to wipe down and run the hairdryer to clean it when it comes from such packaging in many hotels. The staff were very good and responsive to guest feedback. You have to pick up food deliveries from the lobby, but that's acceptable.

They sent a small cake for my son's birthday, and when my daughter accidentally left her shoes in the room, the hotel verified it and even mailed them to our home free of charge – so thoughtful! The great thing about staying at the Disneyland Hotel is that after a tiring day, you can come back, get some rest, and then take a boat back to the park to watch the fireworks show, or even enjoy them from the hotel itself.

1. The hotel boasts an excellent location, just a 10-minute walk from World of Disney at Disneytown. 2. The rooms are significantly larger than those at the Disney hotels, and ground-floor rooms even come with a private patio. 3. While the breakfast selection isn't extensive, everything is exquisite, especially their freshly made and cooked mini wontons, which are absolutely delicious. 4. The front desk staff are incredibly thoughtful. Yesterday, I got caught in a heavy rainstorm on my way back. Even though I had already checked out and was just picking up my stored luggage, the front desk staff still brought me towels and a hairdryer. I have a small suggestion: since there's a bit of a walk from the hotel entrance to the lobby, and Shanghai experiences a lot of rain in the summer, it would be great if a covered shelter could be built at the main entrance for guests waiting for the shuttle bus.

Everything else was fine, but they made me wait an hour and a half to check in. The platform clearly states check-in is at 2 PM, but we didn't get into our room until 3:40 PM! That's an hour and a half wasted! I asked if I could do laundry, and the front desk said yes. After paying and dropping it off, I was told it would take 5 hours, and they said they'd deliver it to my room, but they didn't. I had to call several times to finally get it! Overall, it was decent, but the check-in wait was way too long! It feels like they're misleading customers. Plus, there's a clear no-smoking policy in the room, so I don't know how that burn mark got on the side of the bed!

Staying at the Toy Story Hotel was absolutely worth it! The themed atmosphere was immersive from start to finish. There were little movie Easter eggs everywhere, and the room was clean and comfortable. Even the toiletries had a themed design. The free shuttle bus to and from the park was super convenient, and the best part was getting an hour early entry, which saved us from so many long queues. The staff were very gentle and kind, and the character interactions were incredibly heartwarming. We could always go back to the room to rest when we were tired. Bringing kids to Disney and staying here made the trip so much easier and more enjoyable.

This Disney homestay really won me over! 🎀 For my recent trip to Disney, I discovered an amazing guesthouse that I absolutely have to recommend to everyone! 🏠 Guesthouse Name: Shanghai Ruyi Pavilion Special Guesthouse 📍 Location: Super close to Disney, about a 10-minute drive. The owner offers shuttle service, which is incredibly convenient! 🌳 Environment: The room is decorated very warmly, the bedding is comfortable, and the hygiene is really well-maintained. 💁♀️ Service: The owner is so enthusiastic and thoughtful! 🍽 Dining: The breakfast selection is good, and everything tastes great. 💰 Value for money: Among guesthouses around Disney, the price is genuinely fair. It's hard to find such good facilities and service at a similar price point. Staying at this guesthouse really added a lot to my Disney trip. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Disney!

The B&B is relatively close to Disneyland. In the morning, the store is responsible for sending us to the entrance of the scenic area. It is very convenient to take the bus directly to the hotel when we come back. It is very convenient to go back to the city and the store helps to send us to the subway station. After a day of playing, they turned on the air conditioner in advance and the room was not cold. The children like the bunk beds and find it interesting. The hot water shower has a strong water pressure. There is a simple breakfast. I am satisfied 😀

The location was great and easy to find, though it was a bit of a walk from the subway station. We even caught the Disney fireworks display right as we were approaching! The inn had little lights on its roof that were visible from afar. Check-in was smooth, and we were escorted to our room. Breakfast was delivered to our room the next morning and had such a wide variety of dishes that my child and I couldn't even finish it all! 😄 They also offer a shuttle service to Disney, which was incredibly convenient. I'd definitely consider staying at this guesthouse again on our next trip!

It's very close to Disneyland, less than a ten-minute drive. The owners, a husband and wife, are incredibly kind. They provide pick-up and drop-off service to and from Disneyland, ask about your departure time every day, and also pick you up and drop you off from the subway station. You don't need to worry about finding a taxi at all. They even told us how to enjoy the rides; they were very welcoming. The rooms are quite spacious, and it's quiet at night. The cats in the yard are adorable and friendly.

This original B&B by Mr. Gao & Ms. Feng is definitely worth saving! As first-time Disney visitors, our whole family had an unexpectedly wonderful experience: **Space Magician**: The 40+ sqm space is incredibly well-utilized. The slide in the room made the kids scream with delight the moment they walked in! My 6-year-old and 4-year-old immediately turned the slide area into their secret base. Sleeping on the 1.8-meter main bed with mom was completely comfortable for both kids, and dad got plenty of rest on the bottom bunk of the 1.2-meter bunk bed. **Parent-Child Detail Obsessive's Dream**: Corner protectors and outlet covers are fully equipped. The children's showerhead is at just the right height, and a thoughtful step stool is provided at the washbasin. Details truly matter here. **Behind-the-Scenes Dedication**: The owner personally cleans all rooms and public areas. All linens are washed in-house, not outsourced. Toiletries, drinking water, and snacks are all high-quality brands, often the same ones the owners or their children use. So, features like a wet/dry separation bathroom, Laifen hairdryer, and JmGO projector, which would be praised elsewhere, almost go unnoticed here. **Hidden Disney Tips**: The owner provided many practical tips for our park visit, saving us a lot of trouble! At checkout, my daughter was given a small drink, which she said tasted great, and kept asking her mom to buy more on the way home. **Suggestions for Improvement**: I hope a detachable bed rail can be added to the side of the bed (for more peace of mind when sleeping with younger children). Providing stroller rental would be even better. Although slightly more expensive than surrounding B&Bs, enjoying private butler-style service for 200 RMB per person is incredibly good value! We didn't get to experience the large lawn in the yard, the mini-pool in the backyard, or the rooftop terrace this time, but they've left us plenty to look forward to. It looks like our accommodation for our second Disney trip in a few years has already been pre-booked!

I visited Qianyun after looking at dozens of places in the area. I wanted to be away from typical city area, have a bathtub and nice outdoor area, and with easy access to Shanghai Disneyland. Qianyun met all those requirements and more! The location was immediately very serene and surrounded by forest, but still easy to access lots of waimai food delivery options. They were also very kind and proactive about sharing information about local restaurants and activities, and provide a breakfast and evening fruit every day. They offer free car transport to Disneyland, and I was excited to use this service but I ended up enjoying my time at the hotel so much that I opted to stay and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere instead! The hotel pets are so friendly - within five minutes the little cat Banban was on my lap and purring. The room itself is decorated very nicely with all the amenities you need. The bathtub inside is very comfortable and I loved the outdoor hot spring tub as well. The attention to hygiene is very highly emphasized and I was impressed with how clean and luxurious everything felt. I will definitely visit again and recommend to anyone hoping to have a convenient getaway from the city, or who would like to be near to Disneyland Resort while also experiencing a more peaceful area and for a good economical value and high quality service! Thankyou for the wonderful stay, I felt very welcome at all times.

Pros: 1. This is probably the closest well-known brand hotel to Disney. The shuttle service is excellent, with frequent trips covering Disney, the airport, and the train station (Image 1). 2. The room was clean and the staff were friendly! The minibar offered free chips and drinks, though unfortunately, it was a fixed selection of only two cans per day (Image 7). There was plenty of complimentary bottled water. Cons: 1. The room lighting was too dim, especially in the bathroom. I suggest increasing the wattage of the lights. 2. The bathroom lacked hooks or other facilities to hang clothes or towels. I highly recommend adding hooks. 3. The showerhead needs to be replaced; the spray area is too small. I suggest checking out the Courtyard by Marriott Puxi for reference. 4. The closet was narrow and long, with very little hanging space, so it couldn't accommodate many coats (Image 6). 5. It would be perfect if they could add a FamilyMart convenience store at the entrance, similar to the nearby Novotel (which even shares the same airport shuttle bus!).

This might be okay for camping, but not really suitable as a hotel. As soon as I turned on the exhaust fan, black debris started falling. Just after sitting on the sofa, I spotted long cobwebs. There were spiderwebs in several places. The wall-mounted air conditioner in the main double bed area blew directly onto the bed, while the bunk beds at the other end got no air circulation at all. The person sleeping on the double bed was freezing at night. The AC fan blades, even when adjusted upwards, would slowly drop down on their own. Plus, the bed was very short; my feet would hang off if I moved even a little. Directly facing the bed was a large, uncovered mirror. Although the bunk beds were single, they actually offered decent space, similar to a high-speed train. However, they were separated from the bathroom by just a board, and the automatic toilet flush would wake up anyone sleeping there. The environment itself was undeniably beautiful: lush trees, chirping insects and birds. But every time I opened the door, I had to shoo away mosquitoes. Entering required careful timing to rush in and prevent mosquitoes from flying inside with me. Throughout the night, I swatted several mosquitoes, flies, and moths. The mosquito repellent provided was the old-fashioned mosquito coil pad type. Even with it on and the window open all night, one of my companions still felt very uncomfortable and nauseous. It's about a 10-minute walk to the Disney metro station, but the actual entrance to Disney is still quite a distance away. However, that's more an issue with Disney's layout.

Everyone is so friendly, I really like the details in the room, a free transfer that they provide(we bought early entry tickets, so I thought that they dont provide such an early shuttle, but the earliest one was 07:00 and we were able to enjoy Disneyland for 100%. 2. The room was spacious, had a big bath. Its perfect to enjoy after Disneyland! 3. The breakfast was very limited, we couldn’t eat that. But the delivery services goes here. I stayed at Qing Shu Homestay many years ago, and I've chosen it again without hesitation after comparing it to other newly opened hotels recently. It's so convenient with its pickup and drop-off service, which is a great personal touch, and breakfast is included. It's very close to Disneyland and quiet at night. I booked a twin room, which was very spacious, equipped with hangers and a dehumidifier. Everything was great, except for the showerhead in the bathroom, which could use an upgrade. I'd suggest adding some Disney-themed fabric sofas and maybe some Zootopia stickers on the walls to enhance the atmosphere. I hope this great value-for-money homestay continues to improve and thrive!

This B&B has all the basic amenities, including a projector. Most importantly, the owner is super nice and offers free pick-up and drop-off services, including to Disneyland and the subway station, with very flexible timings. Even if we finished late at the park, the owner would wait for us. The breakfast in the morning had a good variety and was very healthy; the pickled vegetables were delicious 😋. If visiting Disneyland is your main itinerary, staying here is a perfect choice! I'll definitely stay here again next time I go to Disneyland ^_^

Service: Before checking in, I read many reviews complaining about the check-in staff. I definitely experienced it myself. All the staff avoided eye contact; it was hard to find someone to help with check-in, and everyone seemed busy. There was a young man near the elevator entrance who suggested not standing there. He would just lower his head and walk away when he saw guests; I don't know what purpose it served to have someone standing there. The bellhop at the luggage storage was enthusiastic, but I suggest increasing the refrigerated storage space and training staff. They shouldn't advise guests to carry their refrigerated items with them when checking out, especially on such hot days; it's better to leave them in the air-conditioned hotel. The staff at the entrance who helped with luggage and opened car doors were polite, and their service was appreciated. Some of the hosts at the breakfast restaurant were very warm and friendly. Others were not, and some were only friendly towards Japanese guests. The chefs at the cooking stations were all excellent, and the food was delicious. Facilities: Older hotels always have shortcomings in their hardware. As soon as I exited the elevator on the guest floor, I smelled dust, and there was a musty smell in the room. The shower equipment was old and difficult to use, the washbasin was quite low, and the small magnifying mirror for makeup/removing makeup was broken; either you had to hold it up very high to see your face, or it would fall down and still not work. This can't be changed in the short term, so it needs renovation. During renovations, I suggest not installing mirrors facing the bed again. I slept very poorly at night. Cleanliness: The cleanliness was much better than I expected. There was no dust in the nooks and crannies, which was a pleasant surprise. Noise: The room was very close to the elevator, but surprisingly, there was not much noise, which was acceptable. However, there was a regular rumbling sound, which I suspect was the subway passing by; it was very noticeable. The sound disappeared after the subway stopped at night and reappeared in the morning. Overall, it was not a very pleasant experience, but I've tried it. I won't choose this hotel again.

The hotel is located in the heart of Jing An, within walking distance of the metro station, making it incredibly convenient to get to major commercial areas. The room was spacious and elegant, the bed soft and comfortable, and the entire room was spotlessly clean with excellent soundproofing. The front desk service was attentive and efficient, housekeeping was meticulous and thorough, and the breakfast offered a rich variety of delicious options. The overall ambiance is light luxury and grand, making it perfectly suited for business or leisure travelers. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Shanghai.

You can't beat the location – right in the heart of Nanjing West Road, bustling outside, yet quiet inside. The hotel is all-suite, with the smallest room being 62 square meters, offering separate living and sleeping areas, so space is definitely generous. Each suite comes with a kitchen (induction hob, microwave, etc.) and a washer-dry dryer, which is incredibly practical for long stays or dealing with the rainy season. The hotel's design has an old Shanghai charm, but it's not overly fussy; the Art Deco details are very appealing. Rooms are comfortable, and the restaurant is pleasant. There are reliable dining options nearby, and it's convenient for business meetings. The gym is outsourced to a chain brand, so the equipment is better than typical hotel gyms; there's also a pool for a relaxing dip. The terrace offers expansive views, perfect for an evening drink. Overall, the facilities are practical and impressive. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Shanghai.

The hotel is well-located, right in the middle of the pedestrian street. We stayed in a standard room, but after our flight was canceled due to a typhoon, we extended our stay for another day and were moved to an upgraded room. The room was fantastic, we were probably lucky. It had two rooms: a living room with a sofa and a magnificent view of the pedestrian street. Besides a tea set, there was also a coffee machine. There was also a large, separate bathroom. It's an ideal option for a family with a child. The breakfasts are very good, with options for both children and adults. The only thing I didn't notice was an omelet station; there were fried eggs and scrambled eggs instead. But you won't go hungry; a delicious and hearty breakfast is guaranteed.

Stayed for four nights and it was a very comfortable hotel. Transportation: It's very close to the train station, making travel around the area very convenient. It's also only a 15-minute ride to the Bund. The subway station is about two traffic lights away from the hotel (a 5-8 minute walk). One day, I took my child to Disneyland, and a taxi ride took 45 minutes. Facilities: You can tell it's been renovated and upgraded. The smart toilet was convenient, and the hairdryer was a Laifen. The swimming pool was bright and comfortable; my child wanted to swim there every day during our stay. Service: The service was warm and friendly. The room was cleaned thoroughly every day, which always put me in a good mood when I returned; the concierge proactively helped with luggage and was very responsive with car services. Suggestion: During peak breakfast hours, I recommend adding a seating service. Over the weekend, there was a corporate event, and the number of diners surged. It was hard to find a table, and the staff weren't very proactive in clearing tables. I suggest improving service awareness in this area.

Travelling with a pet is not easy by a long shot. There any many, MANY difficulties. Thankfully, one of the easiest and least stressful parts of this journey was this hotel. Incredibly accommodating for pets, with very clear guidance and rules, alongside wonderful staff who are super helpful and understanding (big big shout out to Eagle and Shane for their help!). The room was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room for me and my cat, Whiskey. The location is great for easily getting into the airport with a great shuttle bus service included. Here's a review for one of the top hotels on my Shanghai staycation favorites list! I've been to Aranya many times, and this time I came to escape a typhoon 🌀 so I didn't take many new photos. I'll use my previous comments instead. 📍 I was upgraded to an Executive room. The front desk arranged for check-in on the 10th floor. The entire hotel has a subtle, calming fragrance. Coupled with the crystal-shaped lights everywhere, a sense of healing naturally arises. The check-in process was very smooth; typically, it includes a hand-wiping tea ceremony, a mood/constitution assessment, and a sound bath, emphasizing a sense of ritual and healing right from arrival. 🛌 The room facilities are complete. If there's a bathtub, you can try a herbal bath sachet. Some rooms offer views of Suzhou Creek. 🌟 Both in the morning and at night, small snacks (the truffle chocolates and nuts are especially good!) are delivered to your door, along with refillable beverages tailored to your constitution. The hotel also offers various wellness classes at different times (yoga, sound baths, sleep recovery, etc.). 🚗 The underground parking is very convenient.

During the Dragon Boat Festival, I brought my family for a trip nearby. The Shimao Wonderland InterContinental, though I'd heard mixed reviews online, I decided to experience it for myself. After confirming our check-in time and our preference for a quiet room, Hanna from the front desk proactively added me on WeChat. She reminded me that because it was a holiday and there was an amusement park nearby, parking might be tight, advising me to inform her 30 minutes in advance so she could make arrangements. We checked in on Dragon Boat Festival noon, and I was surprised to see the lobby's seating area packed with people and a long queue at the front desk. However, thanks to Hanna's foresight, our room was already reserved, making the check-in process quick and efficient. Our room was arranged away from the elevator, and the soundproofing was remarkably good. We couldn't hear any plumbing from the adjacent rooms or the floors above/below, whether it was the shower or the toilet. This undisturbed experience is a rare find, whether in hotels built years ago or newly constructed ones, a truly effective soundproofing is hard to come by. There was a minor issue with the sink drainage during our stay, which was promptly resolved, showing their attentive service. However, I have to complain about the sink's design; it was a square basin, which easily splashed water, and water tended to accumulate near the faucet – not very practical. Our stay included a complimentary travel photoshoot with three free photos. The photographer was excellent at creating a lively atmosphere, and our family portrait turned out vibrant and natural, boosting our mood significantly! Online reviews for the Western restaurant were mediocre, but the Chinese restaurant, Cai Feng Lou, received many positive comments. I spontaneously decided to try it, worried about not getting a table, but Hanna immediately helped us book a table for that evening. The standout dish in the set meal was the diced wagyu beef – a true test of a chef's skill. Each piece was large, yet perfectly tender, flavorful, and didn't get stuck in your teeth. This mastery certainly justifies the numerous trophies and prestigious brand accolades at the entrance! At the restaurant entrance, there was also an introduction to the Shimao Quarry Hotel's background and construction history. Indeed, many aspects of its design were quite visionary, considering it took 12 years to build! The cliffside light show at 8:30 PM featured stunning opening audio effects, and the fountain design added a lot to the visual impact of the mythological story. The Chenshan Botanical Garden, included in our hotel package, was even more amazing. I felt like I could spend two days there, enjoying nature, the charm of the vast lawn, the beauty of the dawn redwood forest, and the tranquility of the camphor forest. Overall, it was a good experience, but the price was just too unfriendly. Even without it being a major holiday, it was so expensive. Given the current economic climate, a more affordable price would be needed to maintain sustained market demand.

The hotel's location is excellent, and cleanliness wasn't an issue. However, the facilities had some significant drawbacks. The bathroom door was very problematic; the toilet and shower shared the same glass door, which was extremely difficult to slide and very inconvenient (as shown in the picture). There were too few power outlets, making charging devices a hassle. The light switches weren't clearly marked, and the night light shone directly into your eyes. Regarding service, the younger male front desk staff member was rude and unprofessional. When I checked in, I wasn't the only guest, and he was impatient and impolite with everyone, not using any basic pleasantries. He also didn't inform me about any of the hotel's facilities; I had to find the laundry room myself later. At one point, a hotel call came in to the female staff member opposite him. She wasn't sure about the situation, hung up, and then asked the male staff member, who directly mocked the guest who had called for inquiries – that was completely out of line. He also made a point of pretending to be busy with other things (even though guests could see his screen and he clearly wasn't busy) before grudgingly responding to guest requests. Although the hotel's physical amenities aren't a major issue, I will not be staying here again due to the service attitude. Being next to a university, I'm sure they won't miss one guest.

I've found a real gem in this modern tower. The hotel occupies floors 15 to 18, and the reception is a 10/10 – the staff are super friendly, they offer coffee, tea, and little pastries, and there's also a very comfortable coworking area. The rooms are like a small studio with a kitchenette: microwave, washing machine, dryer, a full-size fridge, and plenty of closet space. The bed and pillows are extremely comfortable, and the shower… wow! The water pressure is amazing, absolutely wonderful. The door is floor-to-ceiling, so steam from long showers doesn't escape into the rest of the room. The sink area is a bit small, but it's fine for one or two people. Special mention: the magnifying mirror and the Japanese toilet – a real luxury that I really appreciated. We were so comfortable that we ended up extending our stay by 3 more days. The only downside: the metro is about 1 km away, maybe a bit more. But the value for money is so good that what you save on the hotel easily covers a taxi ride. From now on, this will be my go-to place in Shanghai. Highly recommended. I'll definitely be back.
