The location is unbeatable; just cross the road and you're greeted with stunning riverside views. The environment is picturesque, the dining options are diverse and vibrant, the service is thoughtful and meticulous, and the hygiene is impeccable. Words can't describe how wonderful it is. Choosing to stay at Meilun Meihuan is always the best decision, and it's definitely worth repeat visits! Absolutely fantastic! 👍👍

The Long Bar on the ground floor of the old building is highly recommended; it has been meticulously restored to its original appearance from a century ago, exuding a vintage yet exquisite ambiance. On Friday nights, live jazz musicians enhance the already fantastic atmosphere.

The hotel was very nice. The breakfast buffet had a mix of western food and Chinese food. The only improvement I would suggest is a more powerful toaster, but that obviously isn’t a deal breaker. We stayed in a lovely room with a balcony. The housekeeping was wonderful and came every day during our stay. The view of the Bund from the elevator waiting area/lobby was really nice, especially in the evening. Highly recommend staying at Blossom House!

Facilities: This is an old-school five-star hotel. While the style has a bit of history to it, everything is impeccably clean. It truly showcases the quality of a five-star hotel and makes you feel at ease. Hygiene: Nothing to complain about, absolutely excellent! Spotless. Environment: Many foreigners stay here, making it feel like you're abroad. Of course, Shanghai is indeed an international metropolis, and you see a lot of foreigners on the streets. Service: I have to complain about the hotel's breakfast, specifically the noodle and wonton station right at the entrance. You're a five-star hotel, after all. Yet, the wontons and noodles are pre-cooked. If you want some, they just roll them around in the broth, which is incredibly perfunctory. They taste mushy. It really cheapens the experience. They even give you a tag and tell you to pick it up after three minutes. Does it really take three minutes to swish something in a pot? It's out in 20 seconds, tops. However, the egg pancakes are made fresh! An egg pancake requires tomatoes, onions, minced meat, mixing, spreading, rolling, and plating – wow, that sounds like a lot of work, right? But they make each one fresh, and you have to wait for it. If no one orders, they just leave the pan empty! You guys are truly dedicated! Perhaps wontons and Chinese noodles just don't 'agree' with hotel settings, and they have to be pre-cooked. That's a tough pill to swallow.

My friends, a couple, came to visit from out of town for the Qixi Festival, so I booked them the Delmonico Bund Suite. I went to check out the room beforehand and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. The hotel has a strong old Shanghai retro vibe, and the room amenities are very thoughtfully arranged, even including a vintage gramophone. The view from the window is incredibly atmospheric, you can directly see the big clock on the Bund's historic buildings, making it perfect for a festive stay. The hardware facilities are top-notch, and the attention to detail is impressive. The location is superb, right on Jiujiang Road. It's just a few minutes' walk to the Bund, and it's super convenient for a city walk exploring Nanjing East Road and Yuanmingyuan Road. The only minor drawback is that the hotel doesn't have its own parking. You have to walk about a hundred meters to a nearby parking lot. Overall, the quality is excellent and it's highly recommended for couples visiting Shanghai for a special occasion. It's very photogenic and creates a fantastic festive atmosphere.

They moved us to another room and it wasn’t a problem. Very friendly staff. Would stay here again. Nice buffet breakfast and gym as well.

It's right next to Binjiang Park, so you just cross the road and you're by the river. Super Brand Mall is right next door, and the Pudong Art Museum is also very close. There are plenty of dining options nearby as well. Whether you're in a car or walking, the 'Three Piece Set' (Shanghai Tower, Jin Mao Tower, and Shanghai World Financial Center) is constantly in view. The breakfast was incredibly rich and diverse. The only reason I didn't give a perfect score is because there was no bidet.

We booked a family-friendly scenic room, and the night view was absolutely stunning. You could see the 'Shanghai Trio' (Lujiazui skyscrapers) and Yu Garden. Even with an extra child's bed, the room was still spacious and comfortable. The rooms with Oriental Pearl Tower views would have been a bit small with an extra bed, so we opted for this one to enjoy a different kind of view, and it was perfectly situated. We could see the Yu Garden area lit up all night long. Getting around was super convenient; Yu Garden was very close. Just across the street, past the zebra crossing, was the subway station, making it incredibly easy to travel. The subway goes directly to Hongqiao Railway Station and the airport. The staff provided excellent service, and the breakfast was a rich mix of Chinese and Western dishes. Overall, I was very satisfied and will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Shanghai.

A special thanks to Rosy for her full-service assistance and to Scarlett for the carefully prepared gift and handwritten card. Also, the handsome guys and beautiful ladies at Flair were all very nice. I apologize for not remembering the name of the lovely lady who checked us in, but her recommendations for hotel benefits really saved us some money. The river view room was decent, and watching the lights of Pudong Development Bank from it was worth the price. Although it shows some signs of age, 'The Lion King' (referring to the Ritz) is still a worthy visit among the luxury brands in the city.

A short walk right out of the hotel brings you to an intersection, where across the street, the Sanku Restaurant offers unique and tasty dishes. Yuyuan Garden is also diagonally opposite the intersection, though personally, I feel it can't quite compare to the gardens in Suzhou and Yangzhou. The Bund is also quite close, about a 10-minute walk away. The hotel's facilities are relatively new, and while the rooms are a bit small, it's acceptable. The cleanliness is also decent. The front desk is small, but the service is good. Plus, there's a nice rooftop garden on top of the hotel. Overall, it's a decent hotel, offering reasonable value for money. If you're looking for a lively area for shopping, this could be a good choice.

I specifically came here because of the TV show 'Blossoms' and I'm very satisfied. A big thank you to the lovely lady at the front desk who upgraded my room! All the staff I encountered were polite and enthusiastic, I give their service a perfect score 💯. The decor really suits my aesthetic, it's worth savoring every detail. The Peace Hotel truly lives up to its reputation as the face of Shanghai; as a Shanghainese myself, I'm so proud of it! I particularly recommend their guided tours, held daily at 10 AM and 2 PM. The half-hour explanation gives you insight into its century-long history, and there are many beautiful crafts to admire too. The breakfast selection is also very rich, and we were pleasantly surprised to find our favorites like wontons, potstickers, and soup dumplings. Just a small suggestion: it would be even better if low pillows were available. Overall, the experience was fantastic, and I'll definitely recommend it to friends. We'd love to have the chance to stay here again! 😃

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The hotel is beautiful, comfortable, and the location is absolutely fantastic — very convenient for exploring the city. There are just two areas that I think could be improved. First, when me & my daughter came to the hotel with 3 bif lugguages, the bell staff did not assist with carrying our luggage, which was a little disappointing Second, I found the bathroom quite stuffy as there was no proper ventilation or exhaust fan. Improving the ventilation would make the room much more comfortable.

Pros: The location is excellent, with bus and subway stations nearby, making it very convenient to visit attractions like the Bund and the pedestrian street. There are also plenty of restaurants right downstairs. The rooms are spacious, facilities are new, and the cleaning staff are friendly and provide great service. Cons: The hotel occupies just one floor of a building, so it doesn't have its own independent storefront, only a reception lobby on the fourth floor, which feels a bit humble. The staff also seem a bit disorganized. Furthermore, there are no bellhops or other reception staff (only the front desk), which gives it a somewhat distant feel – but then again, this is Shanghai, so it's understandable. Also, a heads-up for everyone: we booked a group deal package, which incurred an extra 50 RMB for weekend stays. Our room was an inner-facing one; we didn't quite understand this when booking but found out upon arrival that the window was blocked by a billboard. For those who care about ventilation and natural light, please consider this carefully.

Our stay at The Edition was fantastic! I absolutely loved the cozy, home-like feel of the wooden decor. The hotel's location is also superb. A special shout-out to our butler, Elaine, who was incredibly thoughtful and warm! She knew it was my birthday and arranged a simple decoration for us, and even surprised us with a small cake and welcome fruit. The service was impeccable. Our room also came with Le Labo samples, and I happily took home the slippers and toiletry bag. It definitely lives up to its premium price; I'll definitely be back!

While the basic accommodation needs are met, there's definitely room for improvement in the details. In the mornings, there was often a loud banging noise from the corridor, which was quite disruptive and woke me up early, preventing a good night's sleep. The in-room facilities felt quite dated, and the bathroom waterproofing was inadequate; water would easily seep out during showers, making the floor slippery – a minor but present hazard. I hope the hotel considers renovating and upgrading the bathroom facilities and improving sound insulation between floors. On the positive side, the hotel's unique scenery and ambiance are big pluses. The lobby frequently features a resident band playing live music, creating a wonderful atmosphere in the common areas with their melodious tunes. The rooftop bar offers expansive views and an excellent sightseeing experience. The antique Rolls-Royce parked outside is a rare sight and makes for a stylish photo opportunity. Overall, it's a mixed bag of pros and cons.

The facilities are a bit old, which is a common weakness for state-owned hotels in Shanghai. The hotel and Ctrip's approach also feel outdated; they still require a deposit upon arrival, seemingly worried guests might consume items from the mini-bar. Nowadays, many hotels in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and even northern regions offer complimentary mini-bars, yet Shanghai still seems quite stingy. As a Shanghainese myself, I find this embarrassing. If it weren't for its prime location on Nanjing Road, nobody would stay in a hotel with this kind of management style. The Broadway Mansions Hotel across the street is exactly the same!

1. Overall, I had lower expectations after seeing reviews on Xiaohongshu, but my actual experience was quite good. 2. Check-in was indeed slow; I arrived around 3 PM, and the room wasn't ready until almost 4:30 PM. 3. The room essentially has no view, so the lower the room type price, the better. This time, I didn't believe it and specifically booked the 'Lingkong' (Sky-High) room, which felt like a waste. 4. The public areas offer decent views, but it's weather-dependent. It was overcast during my stay, so no clear skies or sea of clouds. The photos are mostly heavily edited. 5. It's the tallest hotel, so it's worth experiencing once, especially since the prices didn't increase much during the National Day holiday. 6. The only issue was with late checkout; it took three attempts to get it extended to 2 PM. The key point is that the morning staff seemed unhelpful. From a customer's perspective, both delaying check-in and making guests leave early is really disappointing and a very poor experience. 7. The pool is too small; it's fine for kids, but it doesn't align with the hotel's positioning. 8. Room 9515's view is a definite miss. Even though the view is generally ignored, the main view has the Oriental Pearl Tower far to the left and the Financial Center far to the right. The dark visual feel is a design flaw, and this kind of view falls short of what 'Lingkong' implies, especially since it was recommended as a 'Lingkong' room when I booked. 9. After all that, despite the regrets and complaints, there's certainly a lot of room for improvement, but I still recommend experiencing it once. 10. All photos are of the public areas.

The front desk staff were warm and welcoming, smiling as we arrived. Grand Hyatt Shanghai truly lives up to its flagship reputation, showcasing extremely high professional standards. The breakfast spread was extensive, a great blend of Eastern and Western cuisine. Although it's in Pudong Lujiazui, getting around by public transport, subway, and shopping are all quite convenient. We stayed on a high floor, offering a wide view of the city, including the beautiful Oriental Pearl Tower and the Huangpu River. Personally, I wholeheartedly recommend Grand Hyatt Shanghai, with its rich history and soaring height, as the top choice for anyone visiting Shanghai.

My stay coincided with rainy weather, and it was a bit damp both indoors and out. However, the room thoughtfully provided a dehumidifier, which significantly alleviated the discomfort – a huge plus! What truly impressed me was the front desk service – professional and enthusiastic. I needed to mail a package, and they proactively helped me take photos, pack it, and contact the courier. The entire process was seamless and incredibly heartwarming. Based on my current experience, both the facilities and service are quite good, with no obvious drawbacks. 1. Can you provide a high-floor river view room? No, it's fully booked during the holidays. 2. Can I wait for a room with a good view to become available? Apparently not. 3. I'm not staying, only my parents are. But the check-in slip still showed 3 people, which I don't understand and find confusing. 4. Room 279: The good points are the panoramic glass windows, its location at the end of the hallway (making it quiet). The downsides are that my parents had to walk a very long way, there was hardly any river view – it was almost the worst view room. 5. Is picture 3 unsealed? And other disposable items were also crumpled. 6. I suggest learning to use a fish scale cloth to wipe the mirrors; they're full of water stains. The shower room could use some mold remover. 7. The hotel's hardware is good. It's right by the river, beneath the Oriental Pearl Tower, offering peace in a bustling area. After a night cruise, you just cross the road to get back to the hotel. It's also very close to Super Brand Mall, the aquarium, and the art museum.

The entrance to Park Hyatt Shanghai is a bit small, but even though it's been around for years, the design and decor are still impressive. Turndown service was a nice touch. Also, due to a change in my itinerary, I had booked for two days but only stayed one, and the hotel was very accommodating in assisting with the cancellation. A suggestion: Honestly, for a room rate of over 2000, the non-alcoholic drinks in the mini-bar should really be complimentary. It feels quite stingy, truly. There's only one power outlet on one side of the bed. And the most unexpected thing was that the rainforest shower didn't have hot enough water... This is truly unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber. Since it was already past midnight when I showered, I didn't bother contacting the hotel and just used the smaller showerhead. Also, why are the room number signs in the hallway so small???? Breakfast... a slight disappointment, but still acceptable.

While strolling along the Bund in Pudong during spring, I was instantly captivated by the Mandarin Oriental's exterior – particularly the cherry blossoms blooming beneath the trees. This time, I specifically chose the Mandarin Oriental, and the experience was excellent. Upon check-in, Lucky at the front desk kindly upgraded us to a river-view room for free, allowing us to witness the Huangpu River and the Oriental Pearl Tower transform under different lights each day. The hotel breakfast offered a wide variety of choices; the organic oat cup was a pleasant surprise (here, I'd suggest the hotel prioritize ingredient quality over simply offering many options for breakfast). During our stay, we encountered a guest in the adjacent room smoking. The hotel's response was incredibly prompt, placing four air purifiers in the hallway and our room. They also repeatedly checked in with us to ensure the issue was properly resolved. In contrast, during a previous stay at another five-star hotel in Shanghai with a similar situation, I was told, 'The hotel is quite helpless when guests smoke with their doors open, so you'll just have to tolerate it yourselves.' Upon checkout, David, the duty manager, apologized again and even presented us with a lovely small gift, which our child absolutely adored! Throughout our stay, the housekeeping, concierge, and luggage services were all exceptionally attentive. Highly recommend!

A nostalgic stay, the facilities are a bit old but still exquisite. The views are unbeatable, and the night scenery on both sides of the Huangpu River is captivating. The early morning photo shoot with 'Zaoxiang Time Travel Photography' was an unexpected delight. The makeup artist was beautiful, kind, and skilled; her work perfectly captured the essence of old Shanghai. The handsome photographer was very professional, quickly guiding us through each scene, patiently directing our poses. Almost every shutter click resulted in a perfect shot! He also repeatedly reminded us to watch our step for safety. In the end, every photo was so wonderful it was hard to choose. It was a fantastic experience, and they even printed the photos into an album for a souvenir. Although the price was higher than expected, it was worth every penny spent. Definitely a bonus to staying at the Broadway Mansions!

This was my second time bringing my 72-year-old mother to the Banyan Tree on the Bund, and it happened to be her zodiac birth year. The hotel specially arranged a birthday setup, full of ceremony, and even gave her a birthday cake. My mom was pleasantly surprised, and the service was as excellent as ever. Our butler, Cynthia, was incredibly thoughtful and warm, making us feel right at home! The rooftop terrace bar offers a direct view of the Lujiazui 'Three-Piece Suit' in Pudong, perfect for enjoying afternoon tea while admiring the beautiful scenery. The night view is even more stunning! The only slight drawback is that the hotel is a bit old, and the showerhead isn't very comfortable, but the cleanliness is still very good. Breakfast was quite ordinary, but my mom said she was very satisfied overall 😊 A special thanks to Alisa, who was so considerate of my mother. Because it was raining, she arranged a complimentary transfer service for us from the hotel lobby directly to the South Railway Station, putting a perfect end to my mother's trip to Shanghai 👍

The service was good, and the environment was pleasant. My room had a river view. However, there were people smoking in the rooms or hallways, and when I opened my door, I could smell smoke. I suggest better separation between smoking and non-smoking areas. Also, breakfast wasn't great; there were very few choices, and some of the fried items were overcooked. I waited a long time for a wrap, only for it to be quite unappetizing. I noticed a staff member serving youtiao (fried dough sticks) – one hand had a glove, the other didn't, and they used their bare hand to break the youtiao to put into a wrap. At the noodle station, the noodles were placed so far back and so high up that it was really inconvenient for guests to get them. The staff standing nearby didn't offer any help. I recommend placing food items in more accessible locations. Overall, the dining options and management definitely need improvement.

Other hotels I have stayed at had fried eggs one at a time, which was good. The price-performance ratio is extremely high at the same price. The 2-bedroom apartment is spacious and comfortable for a family. After comparing the Westin hotel rooms at the same price, I decided to choose the sea view!

First off, the room decor is absolutely stunning, as it always is at W hotels. I've stayed at Ws in Xi'an, Macau, and Chengdu, and now Shanghai – their design aesthetic is consistently modern and really resonates with us Gen Z. The room layout and attention to detail are spot-on. They never disappoint when it comes to style. Secondly, I won't go into too much detail about cleanliness; W hotels consistently maintain high standards, so no issues there. Thirdly, the service was excellent. Any request I had was promptly considered and accommodated by the hotel. You feel the exceptional service from the moment you step into the hotel. Staff members are present from the luggage drop-off all the way to the elevator lobby, waiting to assist. Furthermore, the dining experience was fantastic. The breakfast at every W I've visited has been superb, truly top-notch. Finally, since it was our first time at the Shanghai W, the front desk even upgraded our room! I was pleasantly surprised to find myself in a 'Marvelous Suite'. The whole experience was absolutely brilliant. The only minor drawback was that the drinks and room setup included in the Ctrip package weren't prepared in advance, even though I had called a day earlier. If those details could also be taken care of beforehand, so you walk into a fully prepared room, then this would truly be a 10/10 experience.

The view was pretty good, with sights like the Oriental Pearl Tower. However, the room itself definitely felt quite dated; I didn't check when it was last renovated. On the bright side, the toilet had heating and washing functions, which was a nice touch (though I have to specifically complain about the pillows – they gave me a stiff neck!). Lady Luck was on my side when I managed to snag a room at One City One Room, specifically the Seagull on the Bund, one of the most prestigious, and known to old Shanghainese as the Seagull Hotel. I brought my family to check it out. **Transportation:** Not super convenient, taking a taxi is best. The surrounding area is full of famous Shanghai tourist attractions. **Room View:** Lujiazui to the left, the Bund to the right, and the Waibaidu Bridge directly below – absolutely stunning. The view is definitely the biggest selling point of the Seagull on the Bund. **Room Amenities:** This was my first time encountering a capsule coffee machine with oat milk – they truly understand Shanghai! Such thoughtful details, very touching. They also provided high-quality fruits, including imported cherries and dragon fruit. Plus, there was so much wine, drinks, chocolates, and pastries that we couldn't even finish them all. The hardware facilities were all top-notch, and the wireless charger was very convenient. **Breakfast:** The breakfast spread was truly a feast for the eyes, instantly making me understand the phrase ”beauty that whets the appetite.” It perfectly showcased Shanghai's exquisite refinement. **Service:** I can't help but mention again how beautiful the young lady who served us was. Every staff member was incredibly well-trained, truly impeccable. Overall, although the hotel is expensive, the attention to detail is superb. If you have the budget, it's definitely worth experiencing.

This is my second time staying at this hotel. I booked an executive twin room with my child. The room was clean, and its location right in the heart of Jing'an Temple makes dining and taking the subway incredibly convenient. I first booked it because of its proximity to Eileen Chang's former residence, Changde Apartment, and I booked it again because of its excellent location and service. My child particularly loves the hot spring pool here. We also ate several meals at CP Jing'an this time, which was very convenient. However, you need to watch the time when taking a taxi. I noticed during this trip to Shanghai that Jing'an Temple is really congested. Getting to the hotel was a constant jam, and the ride to the airport was also quite slow. The hotel breakfast is excellent! There's a wide variety, and I always eat too much. Check-out time is also very flexible; my flight was at 4 PM, and the front desk staff kindly extended our check-out to 1:30 PM, which was fantastic service. I'll definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Shanghai.

For afternoon tea, the hotel provided complimentary fruit, small snacks, and a free mini-bar with beer, soda, etc. Enjoying a cup of coffee on the balcony, with its wrought-iron railings, reflecting the red tiles and green leaves, bathed in the soft, fragmented sunlight and a gentle breeze, while listening to the evening concert's melodies – it was a wonderfully relaxing and ritualistic afternoon tea experience. The high floor offers expansive views, but unfortunately, my room this time faced south, so I couldn't see the 'Three-piece Suite' (referring to the iconic Lujiazui skyscrapers). The Executive Lounge on the 40th floor is a bit small but has large floor-to-ceiling windows with a great panoramic view. The afternoon food selection was a bit simple; I wonder what the evening spread is like. The room facilities are complete but show their age. To charge my phone at night, I had to unplug the bedside lamp. A particular annoyance was the sink faucet – it was difficult to operate with soapy hands, forcing the water to run continuously. Thanks to Ms. Ye at the business center. I urgently needed to print and sign a document, but there were compatibility issues between Word and WPS. She patiently helped me adjust the formatting and even waived the fee. Finally, a minor complaint about the traffic outside the hotel. I'm not sure if it was due to the WAIC conference, but Changle Road right outside was incredibly congested. A taxi, which was only 300-400 meters away, took more than ten minutes to reach us.

The location is incredibly convenient, just a five-minute walk from Jing'an Temple Metro Station, which connects to three lines, making it super easy to get anywhere. There are also plenty of bus routes. I'd even recommend taking the bus during off-peak hours to enjoy Shanghai's street views. The apartment comes fully equipped with a washing machine, a large refrigerator, a microwave, a gas stove, and a Bluetooth speaker. They've also thought of the little details, providing nail clippers, a fruit knife, sandalwood incense, a lighter, a multi-purpose charging cable, kids' toothpaste, and power outlets with USB ports. It's truly amazing! Their service is outstanding! The concierge responds to requests within three seconds. What's even more thoughtful is that when the housekeeper saw me washing and hanging clothes, she brought over a drying rack. When I needed an extra comforter, they brought a new one over and even took off their shoes before entering. The property might not be brand new, but it's impeccably clean, and the attention to detail is exceptional! I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Shanghai!

This hotel, which has been operating for many years, was once considered a boutique establishment. I finally decided to fulfill my long-standing desire to stay here, as I wasn't driving this time. The room was quite spacious, and you could tell from the architecture and the original decor that a lot of thought went into it back in the day. To be honest, my stay left me a bit concerned. The original design has a high step between the bed and living room areas, and there's another step in the living room itself. With the dim, greenish lighting, I was constantly worried about tripping while moving around. The light switches, though innovative for their time, are now hard to figure out due to age and lack of instructions. The shower design, with its seating area, was quite thoughtful for its era. However, the shower door has no sealing strip to keep water in, and the showerhead is just mounted on a fixed holder that doesn't swivel. You literally have to hold the showerhead while showering, which was quite unexpected. The toilet seat seems to be a later replacement, and it's completely mismatched and ill-fitting. 😓😓😓 What truly baffled me was that the 'clean' towels provided on the second day had visible stains, as shown in the picture. While I'm sure they were disinfected, offering such towels to guests is simply unacceptable. It's especially frustrating that in an age where most hotels offer late check-out, I received a call reminding me about check-out just half an hour beforehand, with the excuse that many guests were checking in that day. As someone who stays in hotels over 200 days a year, I can tell you that's no excuse; it reflects a shortage of housekeeping staff and disorganized management. I will not be staying at this hotel again! As a Trip.com Black Diamond member, I stand by my review.

This hotel is 8-9 years old, and the facilities are quite poor. There's absolutely no street view. I initially went to the Marriott Renaissance by mistake, which is around the same price and also has similar operating hours, but it's in a much higher building. If you're not in one of the street-facing rooms at the Mercure, you're looking right at the back of a residential complex. 😢 The late-night snack was just noodles and wontons from that day! And the breakfast the next morning 😂😂😂 was even worse... I arrived at 9:20 AM and most of the food was gone, and they weren't restocking it promptly. I observed that by 9:45 AM, there was hardly anything good left. If you want breakfast, you better go early! I came here based on Ctrip reviews, but honestly, it was just mediocre. I don't know why it has so many good reviews! The Marriott Renaissance, for a similar price, offers city night views (not of the Oriental Pearl Tower, though) and an indoor pool, and it's closer to Yu Garden. The two hotels are only about a 10-minute walk apart! Anyway, if there's a next time, I'll definitely choose the Marriott Renaissance. 😂😂😂 Oh, and the hairdryer in the hotel 😂😂😂 had a bad connection; I had to hold it to make it work. I also don't know if it was just my imagination, but when I first entered the bathroom, there was a slight smell of urine... and my nose is particularly sensitive. To sum it up in one sentence... this room is not worth 1200! The service, however, was very good! No doubt about that.

The big sign said Jinjiang Inn (not Bestay Hotel Express). I don't understand why no Hotel in China I have stayed in ever gives direction on how to reach by public transport. They all seem to assume everyone will automatically take a taxi and I always have to do a lot of research on how to get there by public transport. Hotel is very good value for money. Rooms are small, cozy, and clean. I especially like the separation of wet/dry area for the shower. Perfect for solo travellers. Everyone friendly and receptionist very helpful. There is a washing machine, detergent provided for free. Also, tumble dryer but I never managed to use it as it was permanently busy. It took me around 15-20mins walk to Yu Garden and The Bund area. Lots of food stores nearby. In Shanghai, on Nanjing Road, in People's Square, and at subway stations, I can find such a B&B. I personally feel that it is very good. I actually had concerns and worries when I came here. I have stayed in several B&Bs throughout the journey. This is my overall feeling. I feel the most satisfied. 1. It is convenient to travel. It is less than 300 meters east of the People's Square subway station, and you can walk straight from the intersection of the 14th subway station without any twists and turns. 2. Convenient transportation. Self-driving vehicles can also drive directly downstairs, and there are parking lots around the building. People's Square Subway Station has three subway lines, which can directly reach Pudong Airport, Hongqiao Airport, Shanghai Railway Station, Shanghai South Railway Station, Nanjing East Road, Xujiahui, Lujiazui, Century Park, Zhongshan Park, Lu Xun Park, Peace Park, museums, and the Chinese Art Museum , Oriental Sports Center, Jiaotong University... 3. Safe and convenient. The building where I am located has property security, and there is an access control on the first floor. You need to swipe your face to enter and exit, which largely prevents undesirable people from entering. We had a fantastic stay and were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The staff were exceptionally warm and attentive, always even greeting us at the door, opening doors and checking cars for belongings left behind after long shopping trips. The hotel has a beautiful, luxurious atmosphere, with excellent facilities including a very well-equipped gym and separate men’s and women’s sauna and steam rooms as well as a pool and hot tub. There is also an onsite spa opened till 2am! The ‘This Works’ bathroom toiletries in the rooms were a lovely touch and smelled wonderful. Breakfast was outstanding, with an impressive selection and freshly prepared omelettes, steamed buns and pancakes. The English-speaking staff were also incredibly helpful throughout our stay and provided great recommendations of places to see and where to eat close by. The location is excellent, within easy walking distance of Nanjing Road and the Bund. Overall, a beautifully presented hotel with genuinely excellent service — we would happily stay here again and am glad we chose to stay here as there are an overwhelming amount of choices available but we feel we made a great choice!

I found this Puyan Hotel last minute for a business trip to Shanghai. The location is incredibly convenient. You can see the hotel right outside Exit 5 of Dashijie Metro Station, which serves both Line 8 and Line 14. The hotel lobby is clean and bright. The room hygiene was also excellent. All the service staff were very polite. The front desk staff were also incredibly helpful and patient. They even offered to help with my luggage, which was a nice touch. They mentioned having a late-night snack, but I only caught it one evening. Perhaps we're just not good at walking, but the distance to attractions was a bit awkward – mostly 1-1.5 kilometers, which was a bit tiring to walk. Taking the subway for one or two stops seemed unnecessary for three people, so we just opted for taxis.

Beyond my expectations, I was very satisfied. I stayed for one night and bought two and a half-day tickets. No need to wake up early, I had a great time. I slept until I woke up naturally, had breakfast, and then slowly headed out. The front desk service was very attentive; the staff, both male and female, were all very thoughtful. The Woody and Donald Duck pancakes at breakfast were delicious. It's rare that the coffee wasn't bad, and the Mickey disposable coffee cup was a pleasant touch. My child and I both loved the complimentary luggage tag. If I had to pick two things that weren't satisfactory: 1. For a hotel at this price, it surprisingly didn't have a swimming pool. 2. I have to complain about their room service. After returning to the hotel from Disney, I was already very tired. I ordered a tomato seafood beef noodle for 118, and specifically called to ask for two sets of children's cutlery. They said it was all disposable and they would give me a few extra sets. However, when it was delivered to the room, they only gave two extra pairs of disposable chopsticks but no food containers. That was quite thoughtless.

The location was great and easy to find, though it was a bit of a walk from the subway station. We even caught the Disney fireworks display right as we were approaching! As first-time Disney visitors, our whole family had an unexpectedly wonderful experience: **Space Magician**: The 40+ sqm space is incredibly well-utilized. The slide in the room made the kids scream with delight the moment they walked in! My 6-year-old and 4-year-old immediately turned the slide area into their secret base. Sleeping on the 1.8-meter main bed with mom was completely comfortable for both kids, and dad got plenty of rest on the bottom bunk of the 1.2-meter bunk bed. **Parent-Child Detail Obsessive's Dream**: Corner protectors and outlet covers are fully equipped. The children's showerhead is at just the right height, and a thoughtful step stool is provided at the washbasin. Details truly matter here. **Behind-the-Scenes Dedication**: The owner personally cleans all rooms and public areas. All linens are washed in-house, not outsourced. Toiletries, drinking water, and snacks are all high-quality brands, often the same ones the owners or their children use. So, features like a wet/dry separation bathroom, Laifen hairdryer, and JmGO projector, which would be praised elsewhere, almost go unnoticed here. **Hidden Disney Tips**: The owner provided many practical tips for our park visit, saving us a lot of trouble! At checkout, my daughter was given a small drink, which she said tasted great, and kept asking her mom to buy more on the way home. **Suggestions for Improvement**: I hope a detachable bed rail can be added to the side of the bed (for more peace of mind when sleeping with younger children). Providing stroller rental would be even better. Although slightly more expensive than surrounding B&Bs, enjoying private butler-style service for 200 RMB per person is incredibly good value! We didn't get to experience the large lawn in the yard, the mini-pool in the backyard, or the rooftop terrace this time, but they've left us plenty to look forward to. It looks like our accommodation for our second Disney trip in a few years has already been pre-booked!

I visited Qianyun after looking at dozens of places in the area. I wanted to be away from typical city area, have a bathtub and nice outdoor area, and with easy access to Shanghai Disneyland. Qianyun met all those requirements and more! The location was immediately very serene and surrounded by forest, but still easy to access lots of waimai food delivery options. They were also very kind and proactive about sharing information about local restaurants and activities, and provide a breakfast and evening fruit every day. They offer free car transport to Disneyland, and I was excited to use this service but I ended up enjoying my time at the hotel so much that I opted to stay and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere instead! The hotel pets are so friendly - within five minutes the little cat Banban was on my lap and purring. The room itself is decorated very nicely with all the amenities you need. The bathtub inside is very comfortable and I loved the outdoor hot spring tub as well. The attention to hygiene is very highly emphasized and I was impressed with how clean and luxurious everything felt. I will definitely visit again and recommend to anyone hoping to have a convenient getaway from the city, or who would like to be near to Disneyland Resort while also experiencing a more peaceful area and for a good economical value and high quality service! Thankyou for the wonderful stay, I felt very welcome at all times.

The breakfast selection was fantastic, and the children’s options were especially cute, with little Hello Kitty biscuits and pancakes. The free kids’ activities were another lovely touch — my daughter had so much fun making her own bracelet. There was plenty to keep the kids entertained, including computers and vending machines, which they absolutely loved. We also really appreciated the free daily shuttle buses to Disneyland. The journey was only around five minutes, making it incredibly convenient, and the buses ran regularly enough that we made great use of them during our stay. We bought a 1.5-day park ticket and the shuttle made getting to and from the park so easy. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and it was great that they spoke English. We also loved how child-friendly the room was. There was even a little tent for the kids, and you could really tell that the hotel had thought carefully about families and the little details that make a stay special. Overall, we had a fantastic stay. The location, facilities, activities and thoughtful touches made it a wonderful choice for a Disneyland trip, and we would definitely stay here again!

I booked this place thinking it would be convenient to rest after a day at Disneyland, and to my surprise, the hotel offers a shuttle service to and from Disney, which was incredibly convenient and quick. The guesthouse room location is great, and the environment is pleasant. If you need anything, just ask the owner. They even have Disney headbands for rent, though I didn't borrow any. The owner has a cat and a dog, both so cute! The cat is the same age as Disneyland, so you can even pet the cat when you talk to the owner, hehe. Overall, the guesthouse is very thoughtfully decorated. The room has a foot bath tub, perfect for soaking your tired feet after a long day at Disney, and the front desk even provides foot bath liquid. There's also a special plug-in card for electricity, which is really convenient. I booked a double room, and they provided two pairs of adult slippers and child slippers. The bathroom has disposable toilet seat covers, and there are disposable foot bath bags, which made me feel very comfortable. There's also a projector in the room for entertainment, though I didn't use it. This hotel pays great attention to detail, I really love it!!!!!

On the first day, since we didn't have time for breakfast, she prepared yogurt and red bean bread for us. The breakfast on the second day was simple yet delicious. The courtyard is lovely and the stay was very quiet. The two 1.5-meter beds were perfect for our family of four. Although we didn't get a chance to enjoy the large bathtub, seeing the disposable tub liner thoughtfully placed next to it showed how much care she puts into everything. We will definitely come back here the next time we visit Disneyland!

My friend was only staying in Shanghai for a day, so naturally, I wanted to give her an itinerary that offered both 'old-world charm and new-age chic.' While passing Nanjing West Road recently, this InterContinental 'Luxury Collection' hotel immediately caught my eye. And just as I expected, critical as she is, she complimented my taste the moment she walked in. Its most appealing features are its convenient location and its ability to be a tranquil oasis amidst the bustle: step outside, and you're on the vibrant Nanjing Road; turn around, and you're in the quiet serenity of a residential area. My friend said the elevator decor instantly made her feel like she'd 'traveled through time,' and that unique 'Haitian style' evoked long-lost memories of Shanghai. She had originally come to sightsee but happily spent most of her day lingering at the hotel. What she loved most were the terrace and the restaurant. On a summer evening, the breeze felt just like those childhood nights spent cooling off in the alleyways – she used to live in a Shikumen house. She remarked, 'If only I could lie in a wicker chair, fan myself with a palm-leaf fan, eat watermelon, and watch an outdoor movie, that would be truly divine.' She also adored the red hanging ornament in the lobby; it was vibrantly bright, yet its glass texture gave it a lively feel, much like Shanghai's character – passionate yet steady, with a touch of lightness within its composure. The food did not disappoint either. I pushed her to try the Shiqipu Noodle Restaurant, where the owner asked in Shanghainese, 'Mi dao ai hao fa?' (Is the taste good?), and she smiled and replied, 'Authentic,' instantly tearing up. She specifically bought the sweet variety of butterfly pastries from the International Hotel – saying 'only sweet is truly Shanghai.' Her only regret was: having stayed in too many foreign-style grand hotels, this time, with Shanghai elements everywhere and Shanghai flavors in every bite, it was 'just missing the sound of Shanghai.' Perhaps the cicada chirps in the alleyways and the hawkers' cries from the Shikumen are the hometown sounds she truly yearns to hear. However, she has already declared: the next time she returns, this will be her chosen hotel, and she plans to visit all the routes I arranged. I believe the charm of Shanghai has never been in its superficial glamour but in its ability to always find the most fitting way to blend East and West, ancient and modern, living as a unique 'Haipai' (Shanghai style). This is also the root that every Shanghainese person cherishes. Below are the three half-day itinerary options I created for her, which I've also compiled here, hoping they might help someone else: Option 1 · A Stroll Through Old Shanghai Charm Start from the hotel's main entrance on Fengyang Road and turn into Huanghe Road. I had a very satisfying stay. The lobby atmosphere and environment were excellent, and the location was superb. It's only a 15-minute walk to The Bund and Nanjing Road, making it convenient for taxis and public transport. The room was simple, clean, and well-equipped with all facilities in good working order. You could see the 'three-piece set' (referring to the three iconic skyscrapers of Shanghai) and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower from the window. The front desk service was attentive, and check-in was quick and easy, not taking much time at all. The room was very well-maintained and even had a mini-bar and complimentary snacks. Overall, I had a great experience and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai.

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. It's only a 15-20 minute walk to the Bund. This time I stayed in an executive room which included breakfast and access to the executive lounge. The breakfast spread was very generous with a wide variety of choices, and the food tasted good too. The only downside was that the room showed clear signs of wear and tear, with dark stains around the bathtub. Also, getting a taxi was a bit inconvenient as drivers often didn't know how to get to the lobby on the second floor.

Decent stay, but several misses for a 5-star property My stay at the Pullman Shanghai Central was a mixed bag—nice in some areas, but disappointing in others. Check-in: The staff were very friendly and welcoming on our first day. However, I was surprised that they wouldn't let me check in until 3:00 PM. At most other hotels, I'm usually able to get an early check-in (even if I arrive at noon), so this felt a bit rigid for a property of this level. The Room: The room itself was comfortable—the bed was soft and the shower pressure was actually perfect (not too strong, not too weak, just right). Unfortunately, the room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke upon arrival. To their credit, when I called the front desk, they immediately offered to change my room, which was very professional of them. Breakfast: This was the biggest letdown. The breakfast buffet felt more like what you'd expect from a 3-star hotel rather than a 5-star Pullman. The quality and selection just weren't there for me. Overall: It was an okay stay—nothing terrible, but nothing exceptional either. I wouldn't rate it a 10/10, more like a solid 6. Good service from the staff, but the check-in policy, smoke issue, and food really held it back.

This hotel truly lives up to its high ratings as a family-friendly destination. Most guests we saw were families with young children, even babies, who came to enjoy themselves. There were plenty of kid-friendly activities, including an indoor children's playground, an outdoor white sand beach for digging, a high-altitude zipline, and an outdoor swimming pool. My child enjoyed them all. I also want to thank our butler, Jerry. When we arrived, our room wasn't ready yet, so Jerry kindly upgraded us to a prepared family room, allowing us to check in immediately. He also promptly sent us all sorts of activity information via WeChat. The next day, my child was having so much fun that we were running a bit behind schedule. Despite it being a holiday and rooms being tight, Jerry still managed to give us an extra hour for late check-out. There were two minor dissatisfactions with the hotel's facilities. First, the sound insulation of the room door was very poor; we could clearly hear conversations from people passing by in the hallway. Second, if you needed to use the restroom from the outdoor play areas, including the pool, you had to walk through a very, very long area to the corresponding section below the lobby to find one, and there were no signs indicating its location. Later, when I asked a staff member in the fitness area, they mentioned that the men's and women's changing rooms by the pool also had restrooms, but again, there were no signs whatsoever.

A perfect National Day holiday experience, highly recommend Anandi Hotel Shanghai! I came for a relaxing and healing break during the National Day holiday, and the entire stay exceeded my expectations. The hotel environment is secluded and peaceful, and the wooden guest rooms are warm and soothing. The Eath mattress, various pillows, sleep aid device, and wellness bath sachets were all provided, ensuring an exceptionally sound night's sleep. The balcony offered a wide view, and the hot tub was incredibly relaxing and therapeutic. The Hengyue Xinshe hot spring, singing bowls, and yoga workshop activities were abundant, and there were also special craft experiences during the National Day, creating a strong holiday atmosphere. I must especially praise our dedicated butler, Yoyo! Despite the large number of guests during the holiday, Yoyo was attentive and thoughtful throughout. During check-in, she meticulously explained all the healing facilities in the room and provided a personalized wellness tea based on my constitution. Any requests were responded to incredibly quickly.

I stayed one night at Yuansu Hot Spring Hotel in Shanghai, and the overall experience was better than expected. The room was very clean and well-equipped, making for a comfortable stay. My favorite part was the private hot spring tub in the room. After returning in the evening, I could soak anytime without needing a reservation, which offered excellent privacy. The hotel also offers therapeutic activities like meditation. Unfortunately, I only stayed one night and didn't have much time to try them, but they seemed quite unique. Parking at the hotel is very convenient, with plenty of spaces available. If you're driving, you basically don't have to worry about parking. The hotel staff provided excellent and patient service. They were always quick to help with any issues and spoke very kindly. Even though it was just a one-night stay, the overall experience was great. If I'm looking for a quiet place to relax and enjoy a hot spring in Shanghai in the future, I would definitely consider coming back here.

A true hidden gem in this modern high-rise. The hotel is in the same building as the Novotel – specifically, Citadines occupies floors 15 to 18. The check-in experience is an absolute 10/10: the team is incredibly welcoming, offering coffee, tea, and small pastries, plus there's a very pleasant coworking space. The rooms feel like compact studios with a kitchenette: microwave, washing machine, dryer, a full-sized fridge, and lots of storage. The bed and pillows are supremely cozy, and the shower… just wow! The water pressure is outstanding – truly a delight. The door goes from floor to ceiling, so steam from long, hot showers stays inside the bathroom. The sink area is a little tight, but perfectly fine for one or two people. Special shout-out: the magnifying mirror and the Japanese toilet – a real touch of luxury that I thoroughly enjoyed. This time was just a long weekend, and we had a fantastic, relaxing stay. The only small drawback: the metro is about 1 km away, maybe slightly farther. But the value for money is so excellent that what you save on the hotel more than covers a taxi ride. In fact, I had a 6:00 am train from Hongqiao and pre-ordered a Didi – it took just 15 minutes door to door, which was incredibly convenient for me. Considering how reasonable the price at Citadines already is, the Didi cost felt like nothing. That sealed the deal for me. This is my third time staying here, and it remains my go-to place in Shanghai. Highly recommended – I'll be back again soon.
