This hotel offers incredible value for money, even more economical than some domestic chain hotels at the same time – quite surprising! I initially booked for two nights, had a great stay, and extended for another night in the same room. My child didn't want to leave and spent every day playing with other kids at the pool. Overall, it's an established five-star hotel. I booked a 2.7-meter king-size bed, which is perfect for families with children. The breakfast was plentiful, with everything you'd expect. While having breakfast, I noticed almost half the guests were foreigners, either families with kids or couples. There are plenty of restaurants right across the street, making dining very convenient. The 'Charming Xiangxi' theater is right next door, but we weren't interested in that type of show and didn't go – but it might appeal to others. We walked back to the hotel from the Landmark Gate (East Gate) once, and it was a bit far, so I'd recommend taking a taxi. Choosing Pullman this time was a very wise decision; it's an older hotel but very well-managed overall. Highly recommended! Friends can consider it based on their own circumstances.

Staying at Wotianju this trip was a delightful surprise! It's incredibly close to all the attractions, basically within ten minutes. We drove there ourselves, and the hotel itself is unbelievably huge – you even need to drive to get around inside! The front desk also gave us a free room upgrade, which made us really not want to leave. The hotel pays attention to details everywhere: the butler service is super responsive and on-call, the welcome fruit was chilled, and even a simple blanched lettuce at the Chinese restaurant was delicious. You can tell the chef really knows their stuff – it was fresh and not greasy. You could easily just stay at the hotel for all your eating, drinking, and entertainment needs. There's a huge lawn, and reading a book and having tea by the river under the trees was just incredibly relaxing; time just seemed to slow down. After dinner, we'd go swimming and then soak in the hot springs. Honestly, even though it's an outdoor hot spring, the cleanliness was excellent. Back where we're from, a hot spring of this quality for two people would cost about the same as a night's stay! I forgot my facial cleanser when we left, and the butler even arranged for SF Express to send it home – absolutely perfect! You can tell the owner put a lot of effort into the hotel's construction, design, and staff management. I would definitely come back to Zhangjiajie just for this hotel again. A hundred points!

We had a fantastic stay at Forest Homestay at Sunrise and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. The room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Waking up to the scenery each morning was a real highlight of our stay. The food in the restaurant was excellent. We ate there multiple times and everything we ordered was fresh, delicious and very reasonably priced. It was a lovely place to relax after a long day exploring the park. What really made our stay exceptional, however, was the staff. They were incredibly kind, patient and helpful from start to finish. Before we arrived, they helped organise our transfers to and from the hotel, making the journey completely stress-free. They also took the time to plan our itinerary for Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, explaining the different routes and helping us make the most of our time there. Thanks to their advice, we managed to avoid the long queues and see all of the major highlights efficiently, making our visit far more enjoyable. The genuine warmth and hospitality of everyone at the hotel made us feel very welcome. We would happily stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.

This is a European-style hotel with spacious rooms and a pleasant environment, but the facilities are outdated. The central air conditioning was broken, and while there was a standing AC unit, it emitted a musty smell that gave me a headache after an hour. I ended up having to leave the French windows open and sleep without AC. Luckily, the weather wasn't hot, and at least the air was better. I recommend the hotel regularly clean its AC filters, as breathing in moldy air is unhealthy. Breakfast was decent, but the plastic bowls and cutlery really cheapened the experience. Details matter. Outside the room's balcony was a large, desolate platform that made the area look rundown. The bathroom fixtures were old, and the hairdryer was so ancient it was practically a display piece. On the positive side, Hu Wenwen at the front desk provided attentive and detailed service, which deserves commendation.

Upon arrival, the doorman was very enthusiastic and helped with our luggage. We were also upgraded to an executive room during check-in. Since we were traveling with seniors and children, they thoughtfully arranged two rooms directly opposite each other. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The executive room had a small desk perfect for working, and a small balcony. There were shows nearby, as well as a commercial street with plenty of dining options. We were even lucky enough to catch a drone show at night. We had three nights of accommodation in Zhangjiajie, and I'm so glad we chose this hotel for all three days. Our itinerary for tomorrow hasn't started yet, but I hear it's very close to the East Gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, within walking distance! I've already recommended this hotel to friends coming for the National Day holiday. The scenery around the hotel is also incredible!

The room was great, and they even provided disposable toilet seat covers. The location is also fantastic, right at the entrance of the ropeway! After checking out and coming down the mountain, I was resting in the lobby. While I went to the restroom, leaving my backpack to save my seat, a middle-aged woman wearing a staff badge threw my backpack aside to take my seat. She even grabbed 4 or 5 surrounding cushions to prop herself up comfortably, saying she wanted to sleep and demanding I give up the seat I had saved because it 'looked bad' for her to sleep out in the open. May I ask if 3:00 PM is supposed to be the staff's nap time? Moving my schoolbag aside while I was away and expecting me to give up my seat for her—no way!

I love love this place. The hotel admin helped to book the park tix and planned the itinerary. I had to cancel the Grand Canyon and received a full refund. This hotel is located at a more quiet stretch of Wulingyuan. Unlike Pullman and Howard Jones their location is at the main street and more hectic. Manyuan room is spacious clean and mattresses are good. For those looking for halal options there are 2 restaurants nearby and amazingly there is also a halal fried chicken in the National Forest Park. Thanks to xiao xiao and xiao hai at Manyuan. ♥️♥️♥️

If I had to describe this hotel in one word, it would be 'comfortable.' It's located across from the Hilton and has parking. The only downsides are that the decor is a bit dated. However, the cleanliness is impeccable. Plus, the newly renovated hotel across the street also belongs to them! 😄 The owner is absolutely fantastic! 🔝 He gave us a very detailed explanation of the tour routes, and he even helped us book tickets for Tianmen Mountain and the Forest Park, which saved us money and hassle. I also highly recommend the hotel's restaurant. The food is delicious and affordable. The 98 RMB 'three pot' set meal has generous portions – too much for two people to finish. Finally, the breakfast buffet is great. I felt like the two of us easily got 50 RMB worth of value back from our stay just from breakfast. This place comes highly recommended!

I had such a lovely stay here! It’s a shame that I only stayed for one night. I was able to check in early, which was great after an early train ride and was greeted by friendly staff and a welcome package of snacks, toiletries and homemade glutinous rice wrapped in bamboo leaves! It was so thoughtful and kind of them. The location is perfect with the lower cable way station for Tianmen Mountain just a couple minutes walk away. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The room was perfectly clean and had everything I needed. I would absolutely recommend staying here!

If you want a quiet place with exceptional service, this is the place to stay. We spent 5 nights here. They provide personalised trip planning, discount ticket booking for all attractions in the Zhangjiajie area, and a free shuttle to the South gate entrance. The shuttle is free back and forth (up to 3km one way) for any reason - dinners near the gate, for example. The breakfast is served to you and was delicious, they also accommodated my vegetarian requests. This is a small hotel - but with a homestay or B&B vibe. A lot of care and detail has been put into the design of the entire facility. There is an elevator. There is a natural spring with a dipper in the lower level - excellent drinking water! We refilled our water bottles there several times. Our room had the forest view with a terrace. It was great to have the extra space to relax in. This comes up as a Didi location, so it was easy to schedule our rides to and from the airport and train station. We took a Didi back from the east gate one day - so crazy there and noisy in that area! If you like huge hotels and a party atmosphere, stay there. Otherwise, choose the Qiquan.

I timed it myself: about 20 minutes to the high-speed rail station, 15 minutes to the airport, and only about 10 minutes to the bus/train station. Getting a ride was super easy, making it a true gem for business travelers or anyone needing to catch a train/flight. What was most surprising is that despite such a convenient location, the hotel's surroundings were exceptionally quiet, completely undisturbed by traffic noise. I slept incredibly soundly at night and could even hear birds chirping in the morning. The service was also very friendly. I highly recommend this hotel to travelers who value both convenient transportation and a peaceful environment for rest! I will definitely choose to stay here again next time.

I traveled with my family and chose this hotel. The accommodation experience was absolutely amazing. I have to give it a five-star rating! The moment you step into the hotel, you will be infected by its elegant and grand atmosphere. When checking in, the staff was not only extremely efficient, but also patiently answered our various questions about nearby tours. Their attitude was as friendly as old friends who had not seen each other for a long time. The room is very warmly decorated, spacious and bright, with great lighting. As soon as you open the window, you can see the beautiful city view, and your mood will instantly improve. The bed was clean and comfortable, and even the pillows were at just the right height, allowing my family and I to have a good night's sleep. The bathroom is also very user-friendly, and they provide toiletries specifically for children, which is very thoughtful. The hotel's supporting facilities are also quite complete, and the children had a lot of fun. The equipment in the gym is new and diverse, meeting my daily exercise needs. The catering is even better. The breakfast is rich and varied, from local snacks to Western cakes, each one is delicious. The restaurant environment is also very elegant, the waiters are warm and polite, and the dining experience is excellent. This stay left us with a deep and wonderful impression, both in terms of service and facilities. Tucked away on the hillside of Baofeng Mountain, this guesthouse truly lives up to its name as a secluded mountain retreat, occupying its own valley, completely free from the hustle and bustle of traffic and crowds. The overall design is rustic and natural, with the architecture seamlessly blending into the mountain landscape, devoid of any overly commercialized, deliberate embellishments. The owner, a designer who returned from Shanghai, runs the guesthouse with a relaxed and laid-back aesthetic, not driven by a commercial mindset. Every corner reveals subtle artistic touches, and the entire place exudes a strong personal warmth. I had a long, in-depth conversation with the owner late into the night about spatial design and the philosophy behind creating a mountain retreat. It offered profound insights that went far beyond a typical accommodation experience. The guest rooms boast large open-air viewing balconies that open up to an endless expanse of the Wuling Mountains, offering direct, breathtaking panoramic views of Tianzi Mountain. The room was quiet and healing, and the tranquil mountain atmosphere allowed me to completely shed the tension of city life. It truly is a rare therapeutic space where one can find emotional solace. The meals are authentic Tujia local flavors. I highly recommend the bamboo shoot stew with cured pork. The cured pork was generous in portion and quality, with a pure and genuine smoky flavor. All ingredients tasted as if they were fresh from the mountains. The owner even gifted us a few extra local home-style dishes, which perfectly suited our taste – simple yet thoughtfully prepared. At 6:30 AM, I set off from the guesthouse to hike up to the Baofeng Mountain temple. The empty mountain was serene, allowing me to slowly experience inner cultivation and a state of mind free from external pursuits. The spiritual gains from this mountain retreat far surpassed the beauty of the scenery itself. In Zhangjiajie, where formulaic, 'influencer-style' guesthouses are ubiquitous, Dayong Secluded Haven is one of the very few that stays true to its essence, offering a top-tier experience with both aesthetic appeal and genuine warmth. It's not just a place to stay; it's more like a spiritual sanctuary nestled in the mountains, a refuge from worldly noise that truly allows you to quiet your mind and converse with yourself. This trip was truly unforgettable, and I will definitely return.

It was the best experience! The room exceeded our expectations, we couldn’t even imagine it to be so nice. Especially, we were touched by the caring attitude of the owner! Even before we checked in he helped us to pick up our packages, everything was ready for us in advance. Also, he helped us to plan an amazing route in Zhangjiajie park and gave us a free ride to the South Gate, which is just 10 minutes close. Overall, it was very comfortable, beautiful and clean. They also make breakfast un the morning that is really cute! We felt welcomed for the whole stay, and it made our experience in Zhangjiajie unbelievable❤️ without any doubt would rate it 10/10 and strongly recommend everyone!!!

We stayed for 4 days , our room was clean and very comfortable. We had not organised ourselves very well , but Tim organised and book our tickets for the Forest park , the Tianamen mts and the Canyon. We were given good advice when to start our day . The hotel has a great breakfast and laundry . We had a sl problem with a Didi payment and Robert immediately sorted the payment . It was great to have so many English speaking staff. Chelsea from the front desk was helpful with everything right down to providing umbrellas. The proximity to the park and peaceful surrounds makes this hotel feel like a home away from home . A phone call to the hotel was answered by Tim and my request to book my tickets was done even before we arrived. Service at that level is priceless. We thank the team for making our stay soo comfortable. The score I give is 20 out of ten .we requested a tour guide for the day and Sasa was the English speaking guide excellent knowledge .

Really liked this hotel as it was spacious and looked modern. There was a washing machine in the room which I didnt need to use and detergent was included. No dryer though but you can bring your clothes to reception for them to dry. There was a house cat and dog. Very cute. Water pressure was not strong enough for me and took some time for the water to be hot. There was no hand soap so had to ask reception. Bed was not too comfy but it was fine as I was tired from the day. Breakfast did its job and sufficient with variety and transfer was included which was convenient.

The walls in the bathroom were dirty and stained, and the entire room felt unclean, with visible marks throughout. There was a strong smell of cigarettes everywhere, as the hotel allows smoking in rooms and even in the corridors, with ashtrays placed throughout the hotel. We booked a non-smoking room, but it still smelled heavily of smoke. We asked to change rooms, and the hotel kindly moved us to another non-smoking room, but unfortunately that one also smelled strongly of cigarettes. After spending time in the room, I started getting headache and even having the window open all day did not help remove the smell. The carpet was in very poor condition, heavily stained and clearly not properly cleaned for a long time—possibly since the hotel opened. This is the fourth hotel we have stayed in while travelling in China, and all the previous hotels had no cigarette smell at all. If I had known about this situation, I would never have booked a room here. The only positive aspect of this hotel was the staff; the reception team was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Miss Wendy (who is the front desk manager and looks like the only one who spoke English) was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and incredibly proactive. Wendy anticipated our needs, provided helpful local recommendations, allowed us to choose the room we preferred, and even helped us to select tickets to the national park without any hassle. The room had a fantastic view of the mountains, which made the stay feel very special. Breakfast was outstanding—easily a 10/10—with a wide selection and a beautiful view from the restaurant. The location is also a major plus: very close to the train station and extremely convenient for both the airport and train stations. As an added bonus, there is restaurants nearby, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere in the evenings. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie. Because of the Wendy we extended our trip in this hotel for another week.

As one of the few e-sports hotels in Cili with complete environment and equipment, all large 3c games of computer equipment can be played one night a day. The mattress is very soft and warm. The room sanitation is perfect. Especially the handsome handsome guy on duty that day is very enthusiastic. It is right to find them if you need to. Overall good value for money in a very busy touristy place.

Location is Ok, very close to the Tianmenshan cable car and Dayong Ancient Town, and with lots of restaurants and supermarket. The taxi stops easily in front of the hotel, just make sure to select the right LAVANDE HOTEL as there are many. 👎🏻The breakfast could have some jam or loutiao, there is coffee machine, cow and soya milk, and then Chinese savoury options, just not much variety, generally no spreads for the bread that you can toast 😅  Big low is the fact that you can smell smoke everywhere 🚬  Corridors, public rooms, lifts, even if there are thousands of signs forbidding it.  The reception doesn’t speak 🤣 maybe because we looked different, but everything was a silent conversation, even if we spoke Chinese ;)  So, very nice place, but there’s room for improvement
