From Hong Kong

  • By MTR and Foot
    Take the MTR East Rail Line to Lok Ma Chau Station, then follow the clearly marked signs to the Futian Port immigration checkpoint. After clearing both Hong Kong and mainland China customs, it is a short, covered walk directly into Futian District and the station entrance.
  • By High-Speed Train
    For a faster and more comfortable option, board the Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hong Kong High-Speed Rail at Hong Kong West Kowloon Station. The journey to Futian Station takes about 15–20 minutes, with frequent departures throughout the day. Tickets can be purchased in advance through Trip.com or the official 12306 app, both of which accept international credit cards.

  • Hong Kong International Airport (HKG)
    • Airport Express + High-Speed Rail: Ride the Airport Express to Kowloon Station (about 20 minutes). From there, walk or take a short taxi to West Kowloon Station, then board the high-speed train to Futian Station (about 15–20 minutes).
    • Cross-Border Bus: Several direct cross-border coach services operate from HKG to Futian District. After clearing immigration, it’s a brief taxi or metro ride to Futian Station.

High-Speed Rail Tickets

  • Online Booking: Reserve seats through Trip.com or the official 12306 website/app. Both platforms accept international credit cards, including Visa and Mastercard, making them friendly for Malaysian users.
  • Station Counters & Machines: If you prefer to buy in person, Futian Station has staffed ticket counters and self-service machines with English menus. You must present your passport to purchase or collect tickets.
  • E-Tickets: When booking online, you can often use an e-ticket by scanning your passport at the gate, eliminating the need for a paper ticket.
  • Typical Fare : A one-way Hong Kong West Kowloon → Futian high-speed train ticket is usually around ¥68 (CNY), roughly RM 42 for a standard second-class seat. Prices may vary slightly by train class or time of day

Metro Tickets

  • Single Journey Tokens: Purchase from vending machines at any metro station; instructions are available in English.

Stayed at the Crowne Plaza Futian for a good stay. Before arriving, I communicated with Joy online about the check-in process. She managed to get us a room upgrade during check-in, which was a pleasant surprise. The upgraded room was more spacious than the standard room; we could easily spread out our two suitcases and personal belongings without feeling cramped. The room was also very clean, with no visible dust or stains. The hotel is located in Futian, surrounded by many good restaurants, making it convenient for walks and shopping after dinner. Access to the metro is also close by. The room was quiet once the windows were closed, allowing for a restful sleep after a day out. The water pressure in the bathroom was stable, and all the in-room amenities worked perfectly. Overall, it was a very good stay.

The location is extremely convenient. It's right at Exit A of the Convention & Exhibition Centre Station. There's an elevator directly to the hotel inside the 2-D Town shopping mall. The hotel is also right next to Huangting Plaza and Link Central City shopping mall, which is very convenient. Comfortable Accommodation The room space is quite large, so a family of three didn't feel cramped. Although the hotel has been open for a while, the facilities are well-maintained. Delicious Food The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of options, including Chinese, Western, and Japanese dishes, catering to different tastes. Well-Equipped Fitness Facilities The fitness center is outsourced, but it still provides service outside of office hours. Hotel staff can open the door for access, offering 24-hour fitness service.

Getting to Futian Station by taxi is also very easy. The guest rooms are spacious, and the Four Points' signature comfortable beds provide a great night's sleep. The rooms are clean and tidy, with complete bathroom facilities and stable internet. Some room types even offer river views. The soundproofing is good, ensuring a peaceful rest. Check-in at the front desk was efficient, and the service attitude was attentive. The breakfast buffet offers a rich variety of options, a good mix of Western and Chinese cuisine, including freshly made Cantonese dim sum like Chee Cheong Fun and Koay Teow. The food quality is consistently good, and the dining environment is comfortable. Hotel amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, a 24-hour gym, and ample parking space in the underground car park, including charging spots, which is very convenient for those traveling by car. As a Marriott five-star hotel, it offers good value for money overall. It's suitable for both business trips and travelers commuting between Shenzhen and Hong Kong. My stay was very satisfying, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Shenzhen.

Had an amazing weekend stay here. The hotel is situated right in the heart of the Futian CBD, surrounded by great shopping malls and parks. We tried the buffet at Café Zen, and the seafood selection was fresh and diverse. The indoor heated pool and gym facilities were excellent and well-maintained. The room was luxurious, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. It is a perfect oasis in the middle of a bustling city. Special thanks to the staff for their warm hospitality!

Service: Special thanks to Bella and her team! The Ritz's service attitude was satisfying, but due to objective renovation issues, construction noise could be heard on every floor (starting at 8:30 AM, even on weekends). Bella was very considerate in trying to resolve the issue, and I'm very grateful. I believe this also perfectly embodies the Ritz's 'Ladies and Gentlemen serving Ladies and Gentlemen' philosophy. Facilities: The current Ritz-Carlton Shenzhen is definitely not in its best state. Even in the newly renovated rooms (renovation completed six months ago), there was still a faint smell of renovation. Running an air purifier made it tolerable. The new rooms are indeed spacious and well-maintained, with very new facilities. Pool: It's very small and the water is extremely shallow. Many people just walk across the pool, and there's no staff to stop them. The 'fire cloud' evening view is beautiful, but I wouldn't recommend it for serious swimmers. If you're just looking for a photo op, it's fine. Cigar Bar: The staff were very patient, but the quality of the cigars varied, and the cocktails were just average. Overall, as a first-time guest at the Ritz-Carlton Shenzhen, I found their service to be the best among hotels in the Futian district. However, objectively speaking, the renovation definitely detracted a few points from their 100-point service. I look forward to a better experience on my next stay at the Ritz! 🥂

I stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel Shenzhen for a temporary business trip, and the attention to detail in their service left a lasting impression. Upon arriving at the hotel entrance, Max, the manager who assisted me with my previous check-in, immediately recognized me and provided exceptional service. His incredible memory for guests truly showcases the high-caliber service at luxury hotels. The guest room had an open layout, offering a nearly perfect stay and rest experience. The sofa lounge area, workspace, and sleeping area were clearly separated, creating a smooth flow that's ideal for business travelers. The bathroom featured a bathtub and a smart toilet, and all facilities were well-maintained, making for a comfortable stay during my business trip. Breakfast was at the FOO restaurant, which boasts a timeless 'old money' design that has stood the test of time. My favorite part was the seating experience; there were numerous semi-private 'booth' style seats that offered great comfort and allowed for an undisturbed dining experience. The breakfast selection was impressive, featuring everything from Kashi yogurt, a wide variety of bread options, freshly made wontons, to Chinese brewed flower teas. It's clear that the Four Seasons invests heavily in its dining offerings, making the early morning breakfast experience for a business trip truly satisfying.

This is an old hotel that's been around for decades, and you can tell that the furniture used back in the day was top-notch. The rooms are spacious, elegantly decorated, and well-equipped with various facilities. However, with time, it's a bit outdated now; the lack of smart toilets is a noticeable drawback. But on the bright side, the spacious rooms, elegant decor, and comprehensive facilities, along with meticulous cleaning, really allow us to sleep soundly and comfortably without a worry. I absolutely have to give a huge shout-out for the hotel's service and food! 👍 **Service:** It was Dragon Boat Festival, which coincided with my mother's birthday and Father's Day, so I came back to Shenzhen to celebrate with my parents. Since the booking was quite last-minute, I messaged the hotel, just hoping, to ask if they could arrange a birthday setup. The hotel staff readily agreed and did an amazing job with the birthday decorations! Upon arrival, we were informed that both rooms had been complimentary upgraded to high-floor deluxe rooms, and the birthday decorations inside the rooms were perfect! I'm incredibly satisfied! 😊 **Food:** Breakfast is served at the all-day dining restaurant, the Beer Bar on the 3rd floor. IHG members can move to the Prego Italian restaurant for a quieter atmosphere. The continental buffet breakfast offers a rich variety and excellent quality, including a noodle station and made-to-order omelets. The omelets and black truffle scrambled eggs were particularly amazing! For lunch, we used a dining voucher at the Fu Lin Men restaurant on the 2nd floor. Note that the voucher can only be used for à la carte stir-fries; it's not applicable for tea or dim sum, and cannot be combined with member discounts or group purchases. The dim sum at Fu Lin Men is excellent; the shrimp dumplings are smooth and tender, the tripe is crisp, and the stir-fries are consistently good. After using the voucher, the total cost for three people was 210 yuan, which was a very satisfying meal overall! 😋 Great value for money! I'll definitely consider staying here again next time I'm in Luohu!

My stay at Metropark Hotel Shenzhen was fantastic! The hotel is located right in Luohu Dongmen, very close to Shaibu metro station, making it super convenient for getting around and finding food. The all-suite rooms are spacious, clean, and the bedding is comfortable. The soundproofing is also quite good. Check-in at the front desk was efficient, and the staff were gentle and patient. The hotel also has a laundry room and a gym, making it suitable for business trips, short vacations, or even longer stays. The surrounding commercial area is well-developed, and it offers great value for money. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Shenzhen!

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Shenzhen Yantian for a summer camp with our child, and unfortunately, a typhoon hit, disrupting our travel plans. We're incredibly grateful for the hotel's thoughtful arrangements. A very capable and handsome gentleman with glasses at the front desk kindly extended our check-out time, allowing us to pack without rushing and giving our child ample time to rest. This really saved us in a pinch. The hotel offers expansive sea views from its high floors, and the rooms are clean and comfortable with complete amenities, making it very family-friendly overall. Even with the extreme weather, the staff were patient, attentive, and responded promptly. Beyond the excellent facilities, the service truly had a warm touch. Our experience was fantastic, and we'll definitely choose this hotel again when we visit Yantian next time. Highly recommended!

It's amazing to be by the beach and to wake up and see this. But it's worth noting this is a homestay and not a hotel so sometimes the standards expected of a hotel may not be there. My personal view is that small minor inconveniences are ok and this homestay in particular is rather responsive in service (ask to clean the floor as there is sand, and to refill the soap) - just that I came from Holiday Inn earlier and I can see some differences. They have a Chinese video platform provided via a projector so you can view quite a lot of Chinese programmes. The location is the best and they have a cafe/restaurant associated with another homestay that serves pricey but nice food with good ambience, called Banyan Haven, so check it out.
