Touching down at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) puts you exactly 50 kilometers from the bustling city center. While taxis and ride-hailing apps battle notorious highway traffic, savvy travelers bypass the gridlock entirely. Enter the KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit—the undisputed champions of the Kuala Lumpur airport transfer. Mastering this rail system is your first step to a flawless trip, ensuring you spend less time in transit and more time enjoying your vacation.

Key Takeaways

  • Speed & Efficiency: The KLIA Ekspres reaches KL Sentral in just 28 minutes, making it the fastest transport option available to beat the traffic.
  • Fares at a Glance: Adult one-way tickets cost MYR 55, while a return trip is priced at a discounted MYR 100.
  • Two Distinct Services: The "Ekspres" runs non-stop to the city, while the "Transit" makes three strategic commuter stops along the way.
  • Seamless Connectivity: Both trains terminate at KL Sentral, the ultimate gateway to the city's LRT, MRT, and Monorail networks.

What is the difference between KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit?

The KLIA Ekspres is a non-stop high-speed rail service connecting KLIA Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 directly to KL Sentral in just 28 to 33 minutes. Conversely, the KLIA Transit shares the exact same tracks but makes three intermediate stops, extending the journey slightly to 35 to 39 minutes.

Many first-time visitors confuse the two lines. The Express trains are marked with prominent purple signage, while Transit trains use teal. Because both lines charge the exact same MYR 55 fare to KL Sentral, airport passengers should always opt for the Ekspres to save time and secure a dedicated seat without commuters getting on and off.

If you are staying at around the Bukit Bintang, KLCC, or Pavilion shopping districts, taking the direct Ekspres train is your best tactical move to start your holiday right.

It's okay hotel but old fashion, I will not recommend this hotel to my friends. I found ants 🐜 on the bathroom, don't know what was going on. It's walking away to Petronas twin tower, perhaps 5 minutes walk. Restaurant in front of hotel, muslim cemetery behind the hotel, parking lot beside the hotel on the left side, on going construction on the right side of the hotel. I will not staying in this hotel anymore. Perhaps it's 5 star 15 years ago, not now.

While the view is nice, the hotel is quite a distance from the city center, especially if you want to see the Kuala Lumpur night skyline. There was no hot water, so I had to shower with cold water. The hairdryer is very weak; I recommend bringing your own. Unfortunately, the Twin Towers are not visible from the pool, which was a major disappointment as that was my main reason for choosing this hotel. There were also no instructions on how to use the pool.

I highly recommend Parkroyal Collection Kuala Lumpur to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway and a chance to pamper themselves. I was very impressed with the hospitality of the staff — they were friendly, welcoming, and always attentive to guests’ needs. I stayed in the Collection Club Premier King Room and was extremely satisfied with the facilities and amenities provided. The hotel’s location is also very strategic, making it convenient to explore Bukit Bintang on foot with family. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I will definitely stay here again in the future.

Very good, and they have staff who can speak Chinese. Right downstairs is a large shopping mall, which makes shopping super convenient. We stayed for three nights, and the hygiene was excellent. I would definitely choose this place again next time I visit. The Wi-Fi signal was also good.

Oops, I wrote the last review incorrectly 😂 How do I delete it? I got this hotel mixed up with one in Malacca! 🤣 Overall, this hotel is pretty good. There's a mall right downstairs, making it convenient for dining. The breakfast selection is quite extensive, but it can get crowded. The swimming pool is outdoors and offers views of both the Petronas Towers and KL Tower. The hotel's cleanliness is excellent throughout. My only minor complaint is that we booked two rooms, and on the first night, one was 1842, right next to the elevator. We heard the elevator going up and down all night. Luckily, they moved us to adjacent rooms for the second night.

Our family of 4 stayed at the 3 bedroom suite which was actually big enough to house 6 people. The rooms were spacious, the living room was comfy for the family to hang out and the kitchen was well equipped with cutleries and all things we needed. Cleanliness was acceptable, no complains. The pool and gym is great! The location is around all the bars, so the streets may be abit sleazy at night. But it doesnt really bother us. Only takes about 8-10min walk to Bukit Bintang shopping belt and mrt so its good. But because of the popular location, many GRAB cars dont want to pick us up due to the heavy traffic. Hotel breakfast is not very good, better to eat outside. Other than that, very enjoyable stay. Recommended for families or big groups.

The hotel is close to shops and restaurants (just next to a mall). However, there is no LRT station nearby but can always use grab car. The only downside is that there are a few very tiny insects on the table. I am sure those insects are not harmful but just feel a little uncomfortable.

The hotel Pacific Express Central Market prime position is its biggest selling point—it is perfectly situated within close proximity to Pasar Seni and Masjid Jamek LRT, and it so near Central Market(walking distance less than a mins. To petaling street(china town) 10mins When it comes to dining, there is absolutely no need to worry at all, even if you’re not a particularly picky eater. The area surrounding hotel is teeming with a diverse array of food stores, local eateries and cozy restaurants, offering an extensive selection of delicious cuisines to suit all tastes, you’ll find plenty of wonderful dining options just a short walk away. Overall my stay at Pacific Express Hotel Central Market was perfect.(except the water heater is not function well, water flow hot for a while then cold again rm8521), other than that the room is spacious, with small refrigerator, nothing to compare with such nice room and reasonable price. The unrivaled location, convenient dining choices combine to create a truly wonderful living experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kuala Lumpur, and I will definitely choose to stay here again. Room is perfect clean, with a large lobby, good security. Must try!

This hotel is a foodie's paradise! Our room window overlooked the night market, and we ate durian every single day. The restaurant directly across the street from the hotel, with the red light, also really hit the spot – delicious and clean. The hotel rooms themselves were top-notch; we booked the largest room type. The front desk staff were warm and friendly. I've already recommended it to my friends!

I already sent an email for confirmation of the extra bed along with other few questions to the hotel on the same week i booked on trip which was 3 weeks prior to the date i check in. But on the day itself, the receptionist told me they will check with the housekeeping team. When i got into the room, no extra bed installed so i saw that the sofa is a sofa bed & tried to install it. It was dusty & definitely not an extra bed i paid for so i called the front office for confirmation, they replied again with “we’ll check with housekeeping “. I waited for more than 20mins still no callback. Got tired of waiting, i told my mum to call them again then i went to the bathroom. I turned on the water in the bathtub because there was debris & hair in it. Guess what, the water didn’t go down the drain hole, i tried pressing the lid a few times to create a pressure only then the water slowly started to flow. There’s more but in conclusion it was not an enjoyable stay as i expected from the mouth say from other people & other reviews.

This is our 2nd time staying here at Furama Hotel Bukit Bintang ❤️ Our first stay was wonderful and our 2nd stay was even better 😘 Our Executive room with a beautiful city view was the perfect setup for a relaxing vacation. We want to give a special thank you to ”Sir Nomi at the front desk for his excellent assistance in upgrading us to this room. Exceptional service💯❤️ The location is perfect for us since Lalaport is right nearby , and there's connecting bridge from the hotel. Personally, i think Lalaport offers the best view of Merdeka 118, especially if you go up to the rooftop garden. The views there are highly Instagrammable 📸 👌 The food in the executive lounge was great, with many selections available and unlimited coffee. It was also less crowded during the breakfast buffet. The two staff members, Sir Rahman and Mam Selvi, were very helpful and prompt in assisting us during breakfast. Sir Tafo, who worked on the evening refreshments , was very friendly and pleasant with our special son. I really appreciate him being so patient and accommodating. I will definitely book the Executive Club again for our next visit in your hotel. It was a superb experience😍

The hotel's location is convenient, making travel quite hassle-free, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. The rooms are generally clean and tidy, with all essential amenities provided. The bedding is reasonably comfortable, meeting daily rest needs. The front desk staff are polite and efficient, making check-in and check-out a smooth process. The only minor downsides are the average soundproofing, as occasional hallway noises can be heard, and some facilities show slight signs of wear. Overall, it's a solid, value-for-money choice, suitable for short stays. If soundproofing and facility maintenance could be improved, the experience would be even better. It's a good option for a temporary stopover when traveling.

Overall a comfortable 2-night stay at Travelodge KLCC. Satisfied with the hotel cleanliness, no dirty stains on the bedsheets, mattress, or blanket. The hotel is within walking distance of Chinatown, you can find a lot of restaurants to choose from. It is also located near the Pasar Seni LRT/MRT station and Pasar Seni Bus Hub, very easy to get around. The only issue was the bathroom water pressure. Sometimes the water flow would suddenly become very weak. The selection for breakfast buffet is limited, although it did offer both local and international dishes.

The breakfast had a great variety and was delicious. There's a famous market nearby, and the hotel is about a 5-minute walk from the Chowkit Monorail station. There are two towers, North and South, with the pool located in the South tower. They also have a coin laundry. The only downsides are the high price and that they don't explain how to use the facilities to foreign guests. Overall, I recommend this hotel.

As my grandpa said: 'Location, Location, and Location!' The Pavilion Mall is right across the street. It's a 10-minute walk via the skybridge from Pavilion to KLCC and the Petronas Twin Towers. The room hygiene and service were five-star. Breakfast was average, not very good. I even found a hair in my noodles, which was disgusting. Summary: Highly recommended for its incredibly convenient location. I recommend the signature pork tripe noodles at Bamboo Noodle House on B1 of Pavilion, and the signature shredded chicken and prawn noodles at Nanyang Restaurant. Also, Tiffany & Co. at Pavilion is about 15% cheaper than in China. Plus, Chanel cosmetics are slightly cheaper (2-5%) than at duty-free shops like Sun Dream. And finally, the last picture shows the bill from Bah Kut Teh at Bao Xiang Lou on the 4th floor. The taste was mediocre, and it wasn't cheap, with an additional 10% service charge and 10% tax. Not recommended.

The twin towers were clearly and fully visible from the room. The lobby is on the 2nd floor. We stayed in a Twin Tower Suite, which wasn't very spacious, but it did come with access to the executive lounge on the 32nd floor. However, we spent most of our time having breakfast on the 5th floor, as the variety there was much better. The 32nd-floor lounge didn't offer much in terms of food, though it did have the advantage of a twin tower view while dining [crying emoji]. The hotel is very close to KLCC, and there's a shuttle service available, which is very convenient. It's a bit further from Pavilion, about a 15-minute walk. Now, about the booking experience. The price I paid online already included tourism tax and service tax. However, when I checked in, the front desk told me they wouldn't charge a deposit but then asked me to pay the tourism tax. Luckily, I had printed out a bilingual version of my booking confirmation, which clearly showed that the hotel fees I'd already paid included the service tax. After that, the front desk asked for a 1000 MYR deposit, so I gave her ten 100-denomination cash notes. Then, at checkout, they tried to charge me service tax again! I had to pull out my booking confirmation once more. The front desk staff took a photo of it and then gave me twenty 50-denomination cash notes as a refund. Overall, the hotel's view is good, and the location is decent. The concierge on the 1st floor was helpful, but the rest of the service was just average.

The hotel states check-in is at 3 PM, but we were able to check in at 1 PM, which was a lifesaver after an overnight flight! The front desk staff, especially the 'little dark-skinned guy' (he was so nice), was always smiling. He spoke slowly to us, probably worried we wouldn't understand, which was really thoughtful. Our room was right next to a restaurant, and a KK convenience store was just across the road – super convenient. It's also only about a fifteen-minute drive to attractions like Independence Square.

The service was excellent. The front desk, bellboys, concierges, AC repair staff, and the team who replaced a faulty kettle and replenished toiletries all provided quick responses and polite, enthusiastic service. As for the facilities, there are four elevators, so we never had to wait long, which was very convenient and efficient. However, the in-room amenities weren't quite 5-star. There was only one box of tissues, the bathroom only offered bar soap (no liquid hand soap), and the toilet paper holder was awkwardly placed. On the positive side, the bedding was comfortably firm, and the air conditioning was nice and cold after it was adjusted. Breakfast also wasn't 5-star. The food selection was average, with only two tea options, though all the fruit was pre-cut, and the food itself tasted quite good. The hotel's location is superb. It's a leisurely 5-minute walk to major shopping malls like Pavilion, Lot 10, and Fahrenheit88. You can even use the air-conditioned walkway through the Ritz-Carlton to reach the mall. It's a 20-minute walk to the Twin Towers and less than 10 minutes to Alor Street night market and famous bak kut teh restaurants. Plus, being located right next to the main road, traffic was smooth during our 4-day stay, unlike the frequent congestion on the street next to Pavilion.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The breakfast was decent, and the lunch buffet on the second day was especially delicious. The room and bathroom were sparkling clean, which I really appreciated. However, my room was located at the end of the floor, right next to the emergency stairs. Although there is a strict no-smoking policy in the rooms, there seemed to be someone smoking either in a nearby room or at the stairwell. Unfortunately, the cigarette smell seeped into my room, which made the stay less comfortable as I am sensitive to smoke. It happens on the second night, luckily my check out day is the next day.

This Ritz-Carlton is rumored to be the 'floor' (benchmark/standard) for all Ritz-Carltons globally, offering excellent value for money among Kuala Lumpur's five-star hotels. Firstly, the hotel environment is absolutely magnificent, with a classic European style. The service was also quite good; the front desk even upgraded our room type upon check-in. The room facilities were well-equipped too. During our stay, a service attendant would come for turndown service every evening and even brought snacks. My friend's room was quite noisy, and they were promptly moved to another room. The hotel's location is also fantastic, very close to Pavilion, and there's a dedicated covered walkway directly connecting it to Starhill Gallery. Of course, there were some drawbacks. For example, the breakfast was quite disappointing, to the point that we preferred to eat out on subsequent days. Additionally, the soundproofing in the rooms was not very good.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 – Another Exceptional Stay at Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur (13–18 June 2026) Our family stayed at Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur from 13 to 18 June 2026, and once again, the hotel never disappoints. From the moment we made our pre-arrival request until the day we checked out, everything was handled with exceptional professionalism and genuine hospitality. A very special thank you to Liz, who personally contacted me via WhatsApp before our arrival to coordinate every detail of our 5-day stay. She arranged our airport pick-up, coordinated with the front desk, and ensured that our Family Room and Deluxe Double Room were on the same floor, which made travelling with our three young children so much easier. Her dedication and attention to detail were truly outstanding. A heartfelt thank you to Anna from the front desk for organising a beautiful birthday surprise for my wife. The birthday cake, balloons, and the staff who came to our room made it an unforgettable celebration. Thank you to Ratney at the front desk for the warm welcome during check-in and the excellent service at departure. Ratney kindly arranged a late check-out as our Singapore Airlines flight was in the evening and coordinated our transportation with the concierge, allowing us to enjoy our last day without rushing. A special thank you to Noorin from the restaurant team, who went above and beyond on our first morning by arranging for the breakfast buffet to be delivered to our room after our teenage children overslept and missed the buffet timing. That thoughtful gesture meant so much to our family. Finally, thank you to Fareez from the concierge team for carefully planning our departure to avoid Kuala Lumpur’s peak-hour traffic and for assisting us with all our luggage. Thanks to his excellent planning, our journey to the airport was smooth and stress-free. Beyond the outstanding staff, every aspect of our stay was excellent. The room service food was delicious, the housekeeping team kept our rooms spotless every day, and they happily provided fresh towels whenever we requested them without any hesitation. The laundry service was efficient, and the breakfast buffet offered an impressive variety of delicious dishes with plenty of variety to suit every member of our family. It is the people who truly make this hotel special. Their warmth, professionalism, and willingness to go the extra mile are the reason we keep returning. A well-deserved 10/10. Thank you to Liz, Anna, Ratney, Noorin, Fareez, the housekeeping team, the restaurant team, and everyone at Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur for making our family holiday another memorable one. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kuala Lumpur and look forward to staying with you again very soon.

Although it's called an apartment, it's managed like a hotel, with a front desk, room service, disposable toiletries, and even daily housekeeping! It's no secret that labor costs are expensive abroad. Most apartment-style B&Bs don't provide daily housekeeping for consecutive stays, let alone personal amenities. But Sfera has it all! ~For me, after a long day of traveling, returning to a hotel exhausted and seeing a clean, tidy room and bedding 🛏️ is truly a joy and comfort~ My room had two bedrooms (one large, one standard) and three bathrooms with a kitchen and bathtub 🛁, perfect for two generations. I bought some pre-made meals from KK downstairs, heated them up in the microwave or oven (the hotel provides its own), and enjoyed them in my room. The elevator requires a room card, so takeout orders are placed on the takeout stand at the front desk on the first floor (G). Unlike in China, where robots deliver food, you need to go downstairs to pick it up. Luggage storage is available at the front desk after check-out, but it's on a rotating schedule and often unmanned. If you need urgent help, someone will come out only after ringing the bell. 😐 The hotel's swimming pool is on the 5th floor, and the gym is on the top floor (S floor). Access is available from 8 AM to 10 PM with your room card. They're large and clean. The pool has separate areas for children and deeper water. The gym has a terrace with a direct view of the Petronas Twin Towers or the TV Tower, perfect for family outings. Although it's close to the Petronas Twin Towers, it's still quite a distance to walk. It's a 5-minute walk to the MRT (Light Rail) station, and a taxi takes about 10 minutes to get to KLCC or Sungei Wang Plaza (around NT$20), which I personally find quite convenient. Next door is Summersuites, which also offers apartments, but you get what you pay for. The next door is a private landlord, while this is a hotel. The comparison makes it clear why it's so expensive. The room was clean and comfortable but the temperature control was unsatisfactory. Despite multiple attempts to adjust it, the room remained at an uncomfortably warm, room temperature. While the breakfast selection itself was adequate, the 40-minute wait to be seated was unacceptable and reflects poor crowd management. Furthermore, scheduling the café’s renovation from 1st to 5th May was a poor decision. Doing so during a long weekend and rain rave festive period significantly impacted guest experience and contributed to the delays.

Overall, my stay here was quite satisfying. In terms of cleanliness, I was pleased as the unit was clean and well-maintained. As for the location, it is average. There are no shops outside the apartment, only a café within the building. The distance to the MRT is about an 8-minute walk, which is still acceptable but may not be ideal for those who prefer closer access. In terms of service, I am generally satisfied. However, the security is quite strict. That being said, I understand that it is for the safety and comfort of the guests. Regarding the facilities, the amenities outside the apartment are quite limited (mainly just the lift). However, inside the unit, the provided facilities are adequate, including a clothes dryer, iron with ironing board, kitchen, and television. That said, there is a minor issue that needs improvement—the refrigerator and freezer were not cold enough. Lastly, this place is suitable for a comfortable stay with basic amenities, although there are a few small areas that could be improved.

I stayed for 6 days and 5 nights, and the bonus was the view — I could see both the Petronas Towers and KL Tower from my room (302). The room wasn’t fully soundproof though, since I could hear conversations from the room across mine, but honestly it wasn’t too disturbing based on my experience. The location is super strategic: lots of food places nearby, close to bus stops and MRT stations, walking distance to Pavilion, and I even found a laundry right next to the hotel. With the affordable price and really convenient location, I’d definitely consider staying here again if I visit Kuala Lumpur in the future.

Huge plus - the location. The hotel isn't new, but it's perfectly adequate for 2-3 nights. The main attractions, like the Petronas Towers, and the metro are close by. The downside is that street noise is very audible, but the hotel itself is clean and comfortable.

TLDR: Ceylonz is a great hotel, but the provider (Five Senses) is not. Book a different provider if you want to stay at Ceylonz. (Trip.com does not let me post videos, refer to the pictures below) Initial room conditions: When we first entered the room we encountered these things: - Leftover jacket from the previous guest(?) - stains on the chairs - water stains on the wardrobe - dead ants in the wardrobe - a flickering light Service: Because we chose to stay for 7 nights, we had a 1 free make-up room offered to us which we appreciated. However when we flagged up the issues we found on the first day, they gave us a make-up room on the second day and consumed our free make-up room without our choice. We wanted to use it in the middle of the trip like the 4th day. Because of this we had no toilet paper, tissue box was empty, towels were not replaced. After the 2nd day, they no longer replied to our texts when we enquired about using the sports lounge, requesting a makeup room, getting more toilet paper. Very bad service. After their make-up room, they removed the jacket and cleaned the seat stains, but they did not fix the light or clean the dead ants in the wardrobe. We understand fixing a light might not be possible but the ants were easily removable and we did it ourselves after they left. It felt like they were cutting corners as they also did not replace our tissue box, clean the dead ants or clean the water stains on the wardrobe. Ceylonz: The hotel comes with - nice pool, - 2 gym rooms with great views, - a minimart at the ground floor, - amazing location, walking distance from Bukit Bintang's Pavilion Room: - the amenities provided are not the same for every room, the last time we came there was a water dispenser and pull-out kitchen, this time there isn't (same five senses at ceylonz, same room type) - spacious - tall ceiling - well equipped - bay window - the walls are relatively soundproof so you cannot hear other rooms but the door is not and the hallway is very audible from inside the room, we can hear people chatting, checking in, pulling luggages Bed: - not soft, hard bed with springs - pillows and blanket is okay - uncomfortable bed We would have given this place a glowing review if they: - Stuck to their 1 complimentary makeup room offered - service: replied to our enquiries at all after the 2nd day - better room cleanliness/make-up room diligence: cleaned the dead ants and the water stains on the wardrobe

We're pretty picky, and we stayed here for the Sammi Cheng concert. The hotel service was absolutely top-notch, fantastic! The only minor hiccup was a slight communication issue between the booking agent and the hotel, which delayed our check-in by about 30 minutes. However, both Trip.com and the hotel offered compensation, which was appreciated. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and there was absolutely no noise, which was a definite improvement over the Guangzhou Four Seasons. The room was also impeccably clean and tidy – a big shout-out to the cleaning staff! I'll definitely try to choose Four Seasons for my future travels.

The staff is incredibly welcoming, and the hotel’s location is absolutely perfect. The scenery is simply stunning, and the fantastic infinity swimming pool is a major highlight of the stay, and visiting the SkyBar is an absolute must-do for your bucket list—the views there are spectacular. As a small suggestion for improvement, the room’s sound isolation could be slightly enhanced to reduce occasional noise from outside or the floor above. Aside from that, everything else was excellent, and I had a fantastic stay!

Service: There's a front desk, making check-in and check-out very convenient. Environment: It's 400 meters from the subway station, a 15-minute walk to Pavilion KL, and other attractions are also nearby. Facilities: The hotel doesn't provide disposable toiletries or slippers, but it does have a washing machine. Hygiene: The hygiene is quite poor. The bathroom had a strange smell, and there were especially many cockroaches, countless cockroaches.

Hotel location is near to various nice eateries. Is walkable to ICC Pudu local breakfast market which is a good place to experience an authentic, old school Malaysian-Chinese breakfast in KL. The hotel is considered clean and well equipped with what is needed in a room. However, one of our room was smelly. It maybe caused by someone smoking next door or previous guest has been smoking in the room. We got both rooms for non-smoking but yet one of it was a smelly room. Attached photo is a view taken from the swimming pool at roof top.

The scent in the hotel lobby is lovely. We arrived at the hotel around 10 a.m. and couldn’t check in yet, so we left our luggage and went out. When we came back at 3 p.m., our room was ready. A staff knocked on the door to ask what supplies we needed, and they were delivered quickly. The room is a bit dated, but you can still see its grand style. It’s spacious, the bed is comfortable, the air conditioning works great, and the hot water pressure for the shower is excellent! I’d choose InterContinental again if I come back to Kuala Lumpur!

I originally booked a 4D3N stay at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur for a business trip, but I ended up extending my stay by an additional night (direct book through hotel as a member of World of Hyatt). That alone probably says a lot about how much I enjoyed my experience here. One of the first things that impressed me was the lobby, located on the 39th floor, just above Thirty8 Restaurant. The panoramic view of Kuala Lumpur upon arrival is simply stunning and creates a memorable first impression. My room overlooked Impiana Hotel rather than the Petronas Twin Towers, but I was perfectly happy with it. The room was spacious, and I especially loved the huge window with a comfortable sofa beside it. I spent quite a bit of time simply watching the sky change colours at sunset and observing the city below. The room layout was thoughtfully designed, with a separate shower and bathtub area from the toilet, as well as a wardrobe section that felt almost like a mini walk-in wardrobe. The Balmain toiletries were another nice touch. The fitness facilities were excellent. The gym was well equipped, and I noticed the treadmills had been upgraded since my previous stay. My favourite facilities, were the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. I also appreciated the thoughtful details such as electronic lockers and disposable underwear provided for guests using the wellness facilities. The changing rooms and bathrooms were equally comfortable. Location is another major advantage. KLCC, Suria KLCC, KLCC Park and several public transport options are all within walking distance. Breakfast at Thirty8 was a highlight. I intentionally arrived around 6.40am each morning to enjoy the sunrise view before the restaurant became busy. The food selection was extensive, delicious and complemented perfectly by the incredible scenery. Most importantly, the staff were outstanding. Everyone I encountered was warm and professional. Special thanks to Azroy at the gym, who took the time to explain the facilities and amenities during my first visit. His friendliness made a great impression. Overall, this is a hotel I genuinely look forward to returning to.

The classic will always be The classic. Malaysia Shang is no exception. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a very warm Ms Shabana who checked us in smoothly. And while we waited to be checked in, she arranged for us to have some drinks at the cafe which we truly appreciate. Also, a big shoutout and thank you to the team who’s made such a beautiful set up for this birthday staycay- with a cake , fruits and balloons! The birthday boy was pleasantly surprised. What can I say?! All my requests were met and not only that, they exceeded my expectations. Thank you so much Shangri La! You’ve made this stay so wonderfully memorable- yet again! Your stellar service is really commendable. Please keep up the excellent job! We will be back for sure!

The front desk staff were lovely and provided excellent service, though the room service was a bit slow and inefficient. The hotel's location is great, right across from Sunway Putra Mall in Chow Kit, and the surroundings are decent. However, the facilities are quite old. Most of the guests seem to be Indian, so there aren't many breakfast options suitable for Chinese palates, but you can still manage to find something to eat. Getting around is easy with Grab, LRT, and MRT readily available. Overall, it's fair for the price, but I wouldn't particularly recommend it for Chinese travelers. You might be better off choosing a hotel near Bukit Bintang or Chinatown.

The environment here is very comfortable. Booking through Trip.com also meant no tax, and the front desk was very friendly towards Chinese guests. I was traveling with my mother, and despite a slight language barrier, check-in was smooth. The staff were all very professional and approachable. We had a lot of luggage, and they helped us deliver each piece to our room. The room itself was very spacious and clean. The surrounding area has convenient transport links, with malls and restaurants nearby. You can even take a leisurely walk to the KL Tower or Petronas Twin Towers. It was a great experience, and I would definitely come back again.

10 mins drive to the shopping area. Fast and hassle free check in & out. However, room wasn’t housekept when we have put the tag outside the room to indicate housekeeping required. So we came back to a room with our previous day rubbish whatnots. But thankfully, the reception was there and we had requested for clean towels and amenities. Do note that no toothbrush is provided.

I had a wonderful stay at Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur and it truly exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious, elegantly designed, and extremely comfortable, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning views of the city skyline. Every detail felt luxurious, from the bedding to the bathroom amenities, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast was absolutely amazing and definitely one of the highlights of my stay. There was a wide variety of options, from local favorites to international dishes, all prepared with great quality and attention to detail. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious. The dining ambiance was also calm and refined, making it a perfect way to start the day. The hotel facilities were impressive, and the location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions, dining options, and transportation. The service was excellent — staff were always ready to assist with a smile, ensuring a pleasant and comfortable stay. Overall, the combination of a beautiful room and excellent breakfast made my stay memorable. I would highly recommend Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur for anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable getaway in the heart of the city.

The accommodation is near Dang Wangi LRT station, close to the Petronas Twin Towers and the Menara Tower. The staff provided good service. There's a 50 RM deposit which is refundable upon check-out, and a 2 RM tourist tax, which is standard for all hotels. The single room has no window but has an en-suite bathroom, an electric kettle, tea, coffee, a fridge, and a TV. We think it's good.

This was my 4th or 5th time staying at Momo's Hotel, but standards have seriously dropped. I booked a Queen bed but was given two single beds pushed together. To make matters worse, the signature body wash felt diluted with water compared to my previous stays. The most unacceptable part was a severe privacy breach: I requested a toothbrush in the morning, but I think id due to a staff communication error, housekeeping opened our door without knocking the door while my girlfriend and I were barely dressed, however the housekeeper got apologised immediately to me. When I reported this unauthorised entry during checkout, the receptionist not really take it seriously without any real apology. As a loyal customer, this poor service and lack of respect for privacy is deeply disappointing.

Location is superb, just 2 mins walking to Kerinchi LRT Station. Reception is helpful and the service is satisfactory. Spacious room and the water pressure is strong enough. Getting to and from the airport is convenient: first, take the express train to the central station (you can also buy the express ticket on Trip.com, it's cheaper than exchanging cash and buying at the airport), then just a couple of metro stops to the hotel. It's clean, and they didn't charge the deposit at check-in that was stated during booking and should have been requested. The breakfasts are fantastic and have everything: fruits, vegetables, omelets, various meats (beef, chicken, lamb), soups, pastries, and good coffee. I didn't notice any cockroaches or other pests in the hotel. The hotel's location is excellent – it's just one stop from the Petronas Towers.

How much does the KLIA Ekspres ticket cost in 2026?

A standard one-way KLIA Ekspres adult ticket costs MYR 55, while a round-trip return ticket is discounted to MYR 100. Children aged 6 to 15 pay MYR 25 for a single trip, and infants below six years old travel completely free of charge.

Travelers can purchase tickets via self-service kiosks, official counters at the arrival hall, or online. To avoid the queue after a long international flight, smart travelers buy digital QR-code tickets in advance through the app or website.

If you are traveling as a family, look out for the Family Package. For just MYR 120 one-way, two adults and two children can ride the Ekspres, offering massive savings for larger groups. There is also a Group Saver fare priced at MYR 40 per person if you are traveling in a group of three or more adults.

Where can I board the KLIA Ekspres at the airport?

You can board the train at Level 1 of KLIA Terminal 1 or at the Gateway@klia2 shopping complex in KLIA Terminal 2. Simply follow the overhead signs directing you to the "ERL" or "Express Rail Link" upon exiting the baggage claim area.

The airport layout is highly intuitive, designed to get passengers from the baggage carousel to the train platforms seamlessly.

  • At Terminal 1 (T1): After clearing customs, take the lift or escalator down to Level 1. You will spot the purple ticket counters immediately in front of the platform entrance.
  • At Terminal 2 (T2): The station is located within Gateway@klia2. It requires a short walk from the arrival gates through the mall corridor, but the pathway is flat and easily manageable with heavy luggage trolleys.

Pro-Tip: Do not discard your physical ticket or close your QR code app after boarding. You must tap out at the electronic fare gates when exiting at KL Sentral.

Navigating the KLIA Transit Stops: When Should You Use It?

While the Ekspres is built for pure speed, the KLIA Transit serves crucial local hubs. If your itinerary involves destinations outside the immediate Kuala Lumpur city center, the Transit line is your best friend.

Bandar Tasik Selatan (BTS)

This is the most critical stop for cross-country travelers. Alighting here connects you directly to the Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS), Kuala Lumpur’s colossal interstate bus hub. If you are catching a bus to Melaka, Penang, or Singapore, this teal line stop is mandatory.

Putrajaya & Cyberjaya

This dual-purpose station drops you at the administrative capital (Putrajaya) and the national tech hub (Cyberjaya). It also intersects with the MRT Putrajaya Line. If you booked a stay at to see the famous Pink Mosque, taking the transit line here costs only MYR 9.40.

Salak Tinggi

This is a park-and-ride station for local aviation workers and students attending the nearby Xiamen University Malaysia. Tourists rarely need to disembark here unless visiting specific suburban transit hotels for overnight layovers.

Arriving at KL Sentral: The Last-Mile Connection

KL Sentral is the undisputed nucleus of Malaysia’s public transport. Once you disembark from the KLIA Ekspres, you are standing in the heart of the city's connectivity matrix. From here, you have multiple ways to reach your final destination:

  • LRT Kelana Jaya Line: The most popular route for tourists. It connects directly to KLCC (for the Petronas Twin Towers) and Pasar Seni (for Chinatown and Central Market).
  • MRT Kajang Line: Accessible via a short, air-conditioned walkway to Muzium Negara station. Use this line to reach the bustling shopping district of Bukit Bintang.
  • KL Monorail: Located across the adjacent Nu Sentral mall. Ideal for reaching hotels in the Chow Kit or Imbi areas.
  • E-Hailing: Grab and local taxis have designated pick-up points at the KL Sentral arrival level. Just follow the "e-hailing" signs to the dedicated waiting lounge.
Pro-Tip: Ensure you have a Touch 'n Go card (Malaysia’s universal transit card) to tap into the LRT and MRT lines. You can easily purchase one at the MyRapid customer service office located inside KL Sentral.

Expert Strategies for a Seamless Ride

To maximize your Kuala Lumpur airport transfer, keep these final logistical details in mind before boarding the train to the city.

Utilize the free in-train 4G Wi-Fi to message your hotel or finalize your itinerary while zooming past palm oil plantations. Take advantage of the overhead racks and designated luggage compartments near the doors if you have bulky suitcases, golf clubs, or strollers. All carriages are fully air-conditioned and wheelchair-friendly, ensuring a highly comfortable ride regardless of mobility levels.

Trains run continuously from 5:00 AM until midnight. During peak hours, trains depart every 15 to 20 minutes, giving you total peace of mind that the next ride is never far away. If you want to check specific train times in advance, head to the official rail app or confirm your schedule when booking your flights.
