The driver will be able to take you from your hotel or Phuket International Airport to your hotel in Krabi without having to make a transfer at all. The travel duration is estimated at 2.5 to 3.5 hours, depending on traffic and the pickup and drop-off locations. The average cost of a transfer is estimated to be between ฿2,200 and ฿3,500 per car.

The price may seem higher than that of a bus ticket; however, it might be a better deal for a group of three or four people. Also, it would be good for families with kids and for travelers with lots of luggage. Make sure to clarify what is included in the fare: tolls, luggage service, waiting time, and hotel drop-off. Traveling by air may appear to be a fast mode of transportation from one place to another in case of popular tourist destinations. Unfortunately, no direct flights have been reported between Phuket and Krabi on the schedule available online. The flights may involve connecting flights through Bangkok, making the entire journey very long despite the relatively short distance between the locations.

A connecting flight would also mean that you need additional time for airport transfers and other procedures. Considering all that, flying becomes a less desirable option than traveling by road or water transport. If you are in Phuket and would like to proceed to Krabi, consider taking the bus, minivan or even a car if you prefer more convenience. The boat will be an enjoyable way to arrive in Krabi. Best Time to Travel from Phuket to Krabi

The best season to travel from Phuket to Krabi is between November and April, as the Andaman coast usually gets drier weather during that period of time. The Southwest monsoon usually impacts both Phuket and Krabi from about April to October and brings more rain and sometimes stormy seas. The weather differs each year, so make sure to check the weather forecast before traveling.

The peak season is usually the best time to visit Krabi’s beaches, limestone cliffs and island tours. The water is usually calmer, and therefore, it becomes easy for people to go on boat trips to Railay Beach and the other islands. Long hours of daylight and good beach conditions make it easy for people to combine sightseeing with activities such as swimming, kayaking and snorkeling. However, this is a busy time. Hotels near Ao Nang and Railay might be expensive, and some tours might be fully booked. It is advisable to book your hotel room and the boat transfers in advance, especially during holidays such as Christmas and New Year. Even though there are many boat services during the peak season, it is always advisable to check the schedule of the boat services.

Low Season (May to October): Fewer Crowds and Better Deals

During the off-season, you can expect some rain, lush landscapes and some chances to get a better deal on accommodations. However, there is one downside - the arrival of the southwest monsoon which is characterized by strong winds, choppy waters and heavy rain showers. Ferries and speedboat operations may be cut down due to bad weather conditions, as well as the island tours, that might have to revise their route schedule and sometimes cancel trips due to safety concerns. Road travel remains the more reliable choice. Be flexible when arranging boat rides. Don't make tight transfers with sea travel and flights.

This hotel was the most satisfying of our entire trip to Thailand: 1. The front desk service was warm and professional. 2. The weekend band performances were excellent. 3. The themed rooms had great views and excellent facilities. 4. The pool was absolutely massive, well-maintained, and very clean. 5. The hotel offered a wide range of activities suitable for both adults and children. The only downsides: Firstly, we booked the tennis court for an hour and were charged 600 Thai Baht, but the court's condition wasn't very good. We felt that a court like that wasn't worth the charge. Secondly, from my personal perspective, the hotel's breakfast wasn't quite to my taste. I didn't care for the cold dishes, and I prefer a half-buffet, half-à la carte style.

The hotel staff were tremendous and a definite asset. Thoroughly enjoyed the morning yoga sessions we attended with Sasha, who ensured an inclusive session for all levels. In a lovely setting and away from it all but you will need to taxi, or use shuttle to get anywhere. There is a small bar just outside hotel - left as you exit - ran by a couple of local brothers. It’s worth a visit definitely. I get it’s an Eco Hotel and independent but many of the hotel facilities are not what you would expect of a 5 star: gym is very rudimentary and some of kit, not in great nick; the rooms - we had a swim up suite - were quite dated furniture-wise and showing signs of extended wear and tear for instance The wi-fi for us was non-existent in room, and very hit and miss (mostly miss) in and around pool area. I’d imagine this might be a big issue for young families… The breakfast was fine, as was the rooftop bar food. In summary a pleasant enough stay, but not sure it was value for money at the price, and not comparable really to hotels we’d stayed at beforehand and since on this trip. I’d say a four star at best…

The hotel has its own private beach, which is fantastic. There's no crowded or noisy environment, and it's incredibly relaxing to lie on a beach chair and sip a drink. The hotel also has two decent-sized swimming pools. As a resort hotel, it's located in a quieter area, so it's a bit further from Ao Nang Beach. If you prefer a lively atmosphere right outside the door, then this might not be the place for you. The hotel staff are very enthusiastic and always keep a smile, which is a big plus. The room was also very clean and tidy. The only minor downside was that the breakfast selection was a bit limited. If I come to Krabi again, Dusit Thani Krabi Beach Resort would still be my first choice.

The service here is incredibly thoughtful; every staff member greets you warmly. The hotel's environment is like a massive jungle, making it easy to get lost at night, but the shuttle service is very convenient. You might encounter monkeys, lizards, and other wildlife – we even saw a snake one evening, so be careful! The hotel offers many classes, and the gym is open 24/7. Breakfast is a mix of buffet and à la carte, and I made sure to have a Thai milk tea every morning. For someone who loves natural surroundings, this place is absolutely perfect! I'll definitely be back!

This hotel offers incredible value for money. There were two adults and two children in our family, and even the younger one is nine years old. We booked a Deluxe King Room with a sea view. It had a 1.8-meter king bed and another 1.8-meter sofa bed, which was more than enough for us to sleep comfortably. The balcony was very spacious, and it even included four breakfasts. The breakfast spread was quite good overall. I highly recommend staying here; I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Krabi.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The family room with two queen-size beds was not spacious. There was no room to place our four suitcases, except on the floor. A major disappointment was the outdated bedding, which had holes in it. I had one pillowcase replaced, but later saw tears/frays at the bottom of the sheet at the foot end and on the bath mat. I also saw a stain on the duvet cover. You should expect good bath and bed linen in any hotel. Therefore, I find the value for money to be insufficient. The air conditioning worked well but made a lot of noise. The large unit was on the balcony, and every time it turned on and off, you could hear it very clearly through the windows. Furthermore, our daughters had an unpleasant experience at the swimming pool. Many Indian guests with a Muslim background were staying at the hotel. In the pool, you mainly saw ladies and girls in long swimwear (burkinis). Our girls were sunbathing by the pool and felt very stared at by some men. One of them was on a FaceTime call and turned precisely so that the girls were in view. They also saw him talking and looking at them. This was the first and last time they used the swimming pool. The hotel's location is excellent. It's close to the boulevard with shops, the beach, many restaurants, massage and nail salons, laundromats, etc. A 7-Eleven is right next to the hotel's back exit. You can book tours at one of the many tourist agencies available. All in all, for the reasons mentioned above, we would not recommend this hotel.

Visited in peak season (January) and it was incredibly crowded. All rooms were booked, and Railay Beach was packed like sardines. The facilities are definitely 4-star. I tried both the private bungalow, which was about 300+ baht more, and the basic double room. The independent private bungalow offered a much better bathroom and a more resort-like atmosphere. I'd definitely recommend not skimping on that extra cost. The sunrise and the night view when it's less crowded at Railay Beach are still beautiful. However, I'm genuinely fed up with Southeast Asia. Even if you're willing to spend a lot, the sheer number of people everywhere makes it feel like a budget backpacker trip. Oh, and a point I haven't seen mentioned: currently, the boats from the hotel to Ao Nam Mao pier (which doesn't require wading) are very infrequent, only at times like 2 PM and 4 PM. I suggest just taking the public boats; they depart once enough people have gathered. Also, this hotel is a 4-star, and the main difference from a 5-star is the lack of service – everything is self-service. Come prepared for that. One more thing: if you want to go to Ton Sai Beach, which is next to Railay Beach, I recommend wading through the water from the beach. Just be careful. Don't take the other mountain path! That experience was really bad – the path is narrow, difficult to walk, very primitive, and unmaintained, and you'll get bitten a lot.

This resort exceeded my expectations for the price. I stayed for 3 days and had a very comfortable experience. The pool was absolutely beautiful, and the resort itself was quite grand and lovely. The location was also great, not as chaotic as beachfront resorts, which was a plus, possibly due to us having a rental car. The only minor issue was when we were first assigned a room at the very end of a hallway, it had a strange, damp smell. We requested a different room and they promptly switched us. I would definitely choose Divana Plaza Resort again, 100%!

The hotel has a great location, not far from Ao Nang Beach and close to 7-Eleven, Starbucks, and a wide variety of restaurants. However, the hotel's room cleaning management—both before check-in and during the stay—did not meet expectations, likely due to cleaning staff being overwhelmed by high occupancy. On the first day, check-in was scheduled for 14:00, but upon arrival, the staff asked us to wait another 20 minutes. Since the check-in was delayed, I asked if we could get a late check-out. During our stay, housekeeping came early on the first day, but on the second day, we had to request cleaning. Having stayed 3 nights, I doubt they even changed the bed sheets 😅. Also, I had a wound on my foot and bought a bandage from 7-Eleven. When I walked back to the hotel, the bandage fell off, so I went to the front desk to ask for a plaster. The staff checked and said, 'We're completely out of stock.' I had to walk out with the wound exposed and go buy another one at 7-Eleven. The facilities are diverse and well-equipped, with plenty of activities for guests. Overall cleanliness is fair; the curtains are starting to get moldy, and there is mold on the bathroom tile grout. Considering the price, it's acceptable. The breakfast has a good variety, focusing mainly on chicken—if you want pork bacon, you have to ask the staff. There are a lot of Indian and Chinese guests. They did decorate the room for my birthday, though.

The location is excellent, and the rooms are spacious and modern. 1. The hotel has great restaurants downstairs, including a McDonald's. Of course, it's right on the main street, which is lined with restaurants. 2. There's a 7-Eleven right downstairs and a Watsons just a few steps away. Very convenient. 3. Next to the hotel's car entrance/exit, there's a day tour shop run by a down-to-earth middle-aged woman. I booked a half-day tour to Emerald Pool and the Zipline A+B package with her, both of which were fantastic. 4. If you walk down the main street from the hotel towards the beach, there's a free fireworks show starting around 6:30 PM. It's very lively. 5. Still on the main street, just around the corner on the left, there's a place to buy ferry tickets to Railay Beach. 6. Taking a Grab taxi, it's about 215 Thai Baht to get to the free Krabi Mangrove Forest tourist spot. We happened to find a small boat there, 1000 Thai Baht for a family of four, for an hour-long tour through the mangroves, including a cave. 7. The hotel's infinity pool is beautiful. 8. There's a male server at the hotel named Sun. He has dark skin, but his smile is as bright as the sun. Very enthusiastic. Thumbs up. It's a beautiful and wonderful resort, and if I come back to Krabi again, I will probably choose this one again. 😃

If you can, and if you have time to read this review before, I don’t know if I would recommend booking this hotel, especially if you’re planning on having the breakfast there. The breakfast was not an amazing experience as every other reviewer would say the only thing about this hotel would actually be the view if you want to book this hotel hopefully you do book the one that is next to the Mountain View‘s on the fifth floor that is what you want, but do not book the breakfast because you will not have for your money. Other than that, I would say well located there’s a tour person that is very insistent next to the lobby, but everything was great.

Overall, I had a pleasant stay. The reception staff were friendly, attentive, and provided good service. We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary at the Holiday Inn Resort Krabi Ao Nang Beach by IHG, staying on a room package that included breakfast for five days. Overall, we had a lovely stay, but there were a few things worth sharing—especially for fellow Muslim travellers. We had assumed the breakfast buffet would be fully halal-friendly. While there were halal options available, pork was also served, so do keep that in mind if that’s important to you. The biggest frustration was the breakfast package itself. Although we had prepaid for all five days, the hotel had no record of it. Every single morning we had to explain that breakfast was included, which became quite irritating. Thankfully, after raising the issue for the third time, the team finally resolved it. As a kind gesture, they treated us to drinks at one of their restaurants, which we appreciated. A special anniversary touch was also a little confusing. Mr. Yah mentioned that a small cake would be delivered to our room, but it never arrived. On our final day, we received a brownie instead—perhaps that was the “small cake” he was referring to. That said, we absolutely loved the beautiful welcome message arranged on our bed when we arrived. It made us feel very special. Our daughter, Ava, had the best time! She absolutely loved the Kids Club and the mini water park, which kept her entertained for hours and made the holiday even more enjoyable for the whole family. The resort’s layout took a little getting used to. It’s spread across multiple levels, so navigating around was slightly confusing on the first day. After that, it became much easier. However, families with strollers or anyone with mobility challenges should be aware that moving between the different levels can be a bit of a challenge. Despite a few hiccups, we genuinely enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and tried to make things right when issues were raised, and the resort offers a great atmosphere for families. With a few improvements in communication and record-keeping, the experience would have been even better.

the resort is huge and goes from west beach to east beach... be carefull when selecting your room, you may have to walk a lot in the compound. we had rooms on pool 1, just in front of restanrant and beside cafe amazon. best place ever for the view. the rooms are cosy, the AC works well and is quiet. the pools are great with enough room for everybody. the beach is in front. the breakfast is delicious. we will come back.... transfert : from aonang beach 100 THB per pax each trip. only downside, to leave , you won't have a prebooked ticket, so you need to wait to have 10 passengers for a boat to take you out. be carefull if you have limited connection time ....

An excellent travel experience. The hotel breakfast was very rich, with additional à la carte options available. The service was exceptionally thoughtful, from the welcome tea to check-out. Room service was also prompt and on time. The hotel's swimming pool uses circulating water, so it's very clear. Even without swimming goggles, it wasn't at all irritating to the eyes, which I loved. The hotel's massage service was also very thorough and more professional in technique than the shops on Krabi street. Plus, during off-peak afternoons, they offer a 20% happy hour discount, which is definitely worth experiencing. The toiletries and their fragrance used in the rooms also perfectly matched the hotel's ambiance. They were very effective and smelled delightful.

Service: The service here is fantastic, the staff are all very nice and always smiling. Facilities: The pools are great for swimming, there are several, and even a slide, which the kids absolutely loved. The massages are also very good and not expensive, and the therapists are skilled. Hygiene: The hygiene is excellent, very clean. Even the trash cans are spotless, with no hidden dirty spots. The management is very professional. Although the room is a bit older, it's very clean and comfortable!

A really lovely hotel that feels like a sanctuary in the hustle of Aonang. Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent and well priced food options at the onsite restaurant. Do note that this hotel does not serve any alcohol as it is Muslim run/owned. They do however serve excellent mocktails and shakes. This hotel is situated on a hill, about a 15 minute walk to the beach, but there is a shuttle that runs about 6 times a day. Walking is relatively easy, however the last little climb up the hill can be hot! The villas are spacious and cool. Thanks for a lovely stay.

This was my second stay at this hotel. The front desk attendant who spoke Chinese had a lovely, sweet smile, and all the staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The hotel facilities were fine, but I do hope for more variety at breakfast. The clear waters and complimentary water activities are a definite plus. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets in the evening and a stunning starry sky at night. My only complaint concerns the two-bedroom ocean view pool villa we booked this time. We stayed in room 2302, and the air conditioning vent had a design flaw: it was positioned directly above the main bed, and the noise was so loud that it kept us awake for several nights. We complained to the front desk, and they sent staff to adjust the vent to blow left, right, and upwards, but it didn't make a noticeable difference. We requested a room change, but the hotel was almost fully booked, so they couldn't accommodate us. Our request for an early check-out was also unsuccessful. To fellow travelers planning a stay: if you're booking a villa, I strongly recommend opting for the upper floor Sala Ocean View Villa. Do NOT book the type I stayed in, otherwise you'll truly regret it – it's a waste of money, and your overall experience will be severely compromised.

This is a natural oasis. We were immersed in nature the moment we stepped in. The resort beautifully co-exists with its surroundings, which we absolutely loved. If you are booking, do keep in mind that the resort is built on hills, so you would need to wait for the shuttle to travel to and from different areas within the property. The room was extremely clean with no complaints at all. However, since the resort is located in the hills and surrounded by nature, there were ants and insects attracted to the lights, especially at night. Because of this, we could only really enjoy the outdoor jacuzzi during the daytime. There are also monkeys and monitor lizards around the resort, although I only spotted two monitor lizards during our stay. The in-house restaurant and pool were very good as well and added to the overall experience. The whole place feels very remote and peaceful — truly the kind of destination that helps you disconnect, relax, and heal.

We were out for the entire day, but when we returned late that night, the fan had not been delivered. We had to call reception to request it a second time. 3. Missing Amenities: On our checkout date, we asked for access to a shower or changing area following a tour. Reception kindly directed us to the rooftop pool showers and assured us that amenities would be provided, so we didn't bring our own. However, when we went to use the facilities, no amenities were available. Most of these issues stem from communication gaps and could be handled better. That said, the location was great and made commuting into town very convenient.
