I had a pleasant stay at Sheraton Grand Taipei. The staff were very professional and spoke English well, which made communication smooth. There is a convenient luggage storage service available, which was a big help. The room was clean and well-equipped with essentials such as a hairdryer, drinking glasses, dishes, and complimentary bottled water. However, one point to note is that the lower floor houses the main restaurant, and during lunchtime, the area gets quite busy with tour groups and other guests. As a result, food smells can linger in the elevators and even stick to your clothes when walking past. It would be great if the hotel provided air freshener spray in the room to help with this. The location is excellent, just one stop from Taipei Main Station and within walking distance to the NanXi shopping area, making it extremely convenient for both travel and leisure. Overall, I would definitely recommend Sheraton Grand Taipei for its great location, attentive service, and comfortable stay

The hotel location is superb without a doubt. Convenient and Clean. However, because we booked a triple room for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 toddlers), they only provided towels for 3 pax. When we requested for an extra towel, they were unable to. The bathroom and shower area is separated which is good but the frosted glass door for both are those not lockable kinds. There was a huge group of students hotel stayers during our stay and it literally jammed up the lift lobby every night around 8 pm++ (planned to come back earlier or later else, you will clash with the group). The fun tent meant for kids is located on the 8th floor but we cannot access it using the same lift from our hotel room, we would have to go to the lobby and change to the other lifts to reach the 8th floor. Luckily, the hotel is able to arrange for our last breakfast at 5 am (collect at the lobby) when we check out as our flight was early in the morning.

Absolutely fantastic! It's an old-school, grand hotel that's really impressive. The management is excellent, the rooms are well-maintained, and the bathroom was spotless – not a spec of dirt anywhere. Our suite had multiple balconies, but the neighboring Sky Room offers a better value with its direct view of Taipei 101, even if the balcony is a bit smaller. The eastward-facing rooms have great views of the river, Taipei 101, and the city skyline with its bustling highway. I highly recommend the Grand Hotel Yuanshan – it's truly beautiful!

The buffet breakfast offers a great variety of local snacks, and the restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating, making for a comfortable dining experience. The service is also top-notch. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Taipei!

The saving grace is the toilet which is quite huge and ironically, better sound insulated from the room than the next door is to mine.

Hotel papa whale invitesu singers to perform during weekend afternoons. And it’s surrounded by yummy food - TKK Chicken and the dumpling joint. Highly recommended ! Only complaint is the step to the bathroom and toilet. Make sure your elderly can climb that one step.

The deluxe room while not the biggest I have experience, but still pretty big and comfy. Hotel service is excellent. Even got a surprise birthday cake from them when I was there. Only issue i had was the TV does not really allow me to do mirroring nor it support chromecast. So kind of stuck with the channels that the hotel provided for night in room entertainment. An area which I find could be improved would be the hotel breakfast offering, as there is a lack of variety from day to day. Other than that the overall experience has been great. Will definitely come back again in future.

Pros 😊 - fuss free check in (room was ready ahead of check in time so recep let us in) - water dispenser avail (don’t have to buy your water) and 2 bottles in room daily - small area at L5 for you to relax at with some snacks and drinks (great if you’re having a late flight and need somewhere to rest after checking out, or if you arrive early before check in) - easy walk to xmd - bus stop outside with buses that gets you to most places Cons 😞 - poor sound proofing (can hear kids running down the rooms, people chatting outside, opening/closing of doors) - room not super conducive for light sleepers. E.g there is gap between the pelmet and curtain so once the sun rises, the light will shine into the room, your room will not be in the complete black-out state. Can bring an eye mask to help with this! - very basic room amenities. - slightly steep price given how basic and no-frills this hotel is.

The Taipei Fullerton is a well located and comfortable place to stay, but it's let down for cleanliness and showing it's age a little. The first room that I was shown had someone's left half ice cream in the fridge, and the bathroom had not been cleaned properly. Whilst they did act and moved me to a new room (which I think was a slight upgrade as it had a sofa and a little more space), you can still notice that the windows suffer from the humidity and aren't kept in good condition, and other small things like this, like the lights in the lift having dust and dirt inside them. Also the lighting in the bathrooms is quite poor, you cannot easily see yourself in the mirror which can make shaving difficult. A real shame these small details aren't kept on top of, because otherwise the staff are lovely and the bed is one of the most comfortable I've slept in at a hotel.

This is my second time back at the hotel and I can 100% confirm this is one of the best value for money hotel with everything I love! From great buffet breakfast, amazing staffs and service to their clean rooms, sauna, steam room and hot spring! There are even snacks and cold drinks in the rooms that are for free! I know that this will be my number choice with regards to a well-rounded hotel to stay in whenever I visit Taipei!

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Ningxia Night Market! Just a turn downstairs and you're there, super convenient! The room and bed linens were very clean, with no strange odors. The room facilities were good, offering many TV channels, and the hot water was fast and stable. Shampoo and body wash were provided. The staff were very helpful and offered assistance.

For the past 10 years, whenever I visit Taipei, I’d definitely book my few nights stay at Star Beauty. I wouldn’t say it’s the best but their prices were pretty reasonable with good bed and they upholds a standard of cleanliness. The nearest MRT station would be Jiantan but it’s probably a 10 mins walk. And about 13 mins walk to Shilin Night Market from hotel. Their room walkway is slightly dimmer but that’s no issue for me. Hotel surrounding has lots of convenient stores and eateries..

We stayed on the 17th floor, and the shower pressure was unbelievably low – it felt weaker than a toilet flush. I reported this to the front desk. They asked if we'd like them to send someone to check it, but it was already past 9 PM, and we had already showered. Given we were only staying one night, I simply wanted to bring it to their attention, not necessarily request an immediate fix. Whether the hotel followed up to inspect or repair it after we checked out remains to be seen, and will be for the next guest to find out. Also, the pillows were quite soft. I asked the front desk if they had firmer options. The staff member who answered the phone surprisingly asked how many nights we were staying. After I replied 'one night,' she just said, 'Oh, we only have one buckwheat pillow and one memory foam pillow.' So, we had no choice but to try those. I'm still puzzled why my length of stay was relevant to the pillow inquiry.
