This hotel is located in the heart of Xi'an, offering extremely convenient transportation. There's a subway station right outside, as well as a tourist service center for trips to the Terracotta Army. The Bell Tower and city tour bus stops are also very close by. Despite being in a bustling area, the hotel's location is surprisingly quiet. Furthermore, the hotel's facilities, rooms, and cleanliness all meet star-rated standards. I highly recommend this hotel to first-time visitors to Xi'an.

Disappointing Stay Despite an Impressive Suite We were really looking forward to our stay at the Sheraton Xi’an North City Hotel, particularly as we had booked an Executive Suite. Unfortunately, while the suite looked impressive at first glance, our overall experience was disappointing and fell short of the standard we had experienced at the other hotels during our trip. The main issue was the air conditioning, which simply did not cool the room adequately. The temperature remained around 27°C, making it difficult to relax or sleep comfortably. The solution offered by the hotel was to provide two portable air coolers, but unfortunately these made little difference to the room temperature. For a hotel of this standard, we would have expected the air conditioning to be functioning properly rather than relying on portable units. There were also issues with the fridge/minibar and room service. After checking in, we noticed that the fridge/minibar had not been stocked and contacted reception to ask about it. Unfortunately, communication was difficult, and after around 40 minutes we were still waiting for an answer. We were told that a manager would call us back, but this did not happen. Eventually, someone came to the room and explained that if we wanted drinks, we would need to order them through room service. This would have been acceptable had room service been reasonably prompt, but on the two occasions we ordered, delivery took around an hour. To be fair, however, the food itself was very good once it arrived. Housekeeping was another area where we were disappointed. On the day before checkout, towels had been left in the bath as a clear indication that they needed replacing. When we returned late that evening after a full day of sightseeing, the towels had still not been replaced and the bed had not been made. Fresh bottles of water had been left, so there had clearly been some room servicing, but the incomplete housekeeping was disappointing. There were also some cleanliness issues within the suite. Although it looked impressive, closer inspection revealed dirty marks on the mirror and tabletops, while the safe contained a noticeable amount of dust. More concerningly, we found part of what appeared to be a medical tablet inside the safe. These are small details individually, but together they suggested that the room had not received the level of detailed cleaning we would expect before a new guest arrived. We don't want this review to appear unfair, because there were positives. The Executive Suite itself was spacious and had the potential to be an excellent room, and, as mentioned, the food we ordered from room service was very good. The problems were also not about the friendliness of individual staff members; rather, they concerned communication, follow-through, housekeeping and the resolution of basic room issues. Overall, it was a shame because we had been looking forward to our stay here. Unfortunately, the combination of an uncomfortable room temperature, delays in resolving the minibar issue, slow room service and inconsistent housekeeping meant that the stay was not the relaxing experience we had hoped for. Compared with the other hotels we stayed in during our trip, the Sheraton Xi’an North City lacked consistency in several areas that are important to us. We hope the hotel will take this feedback constructively, as with better attention to maintenance, housekeeping and service follow-through, the property could deliver a much better guest experience.

This hotel is absolutely worth a special mention! First off, the location is excellent, with convenient transport links. The accompanying garden is truly unique in Xi'an. The public areas are grand and spacious, and even though it's not a tall building, it has four elevators. Our room itself was fantastic – great size, layout, natural light, and a lovely view, truly feeling like a suite. But the most outstanding highlight is their service. From the doormen and front desk to housekeeping, everyone was incredibly polite and helpful. Any request we had was addressed immediately. We had arranged for a twin bed setup beforehand, and it was all ready when we arrived, which was very thoughtful! Specifically, on our last day, our museum plans changed, and we couldn't get back to the hotel in time for checkout. We spoke to the front desk, and they graciously extended our checkout time on two separate occasions. As an extra touch, the hotel breakfast offers small bowls of *paomo* (a local specialty), which was a nice little bonus.

Lovely hotel, we had a huge room with 2 TVs and probably one of my favourite showers out of hundreds of hotels. The breakfast was great, staff very friendly and great location right at the heart of Xian and only 30-40min by Didi from XianBei (North Station). The exterior of the hotel didn't do it justice, but once you are in the lobby everything is taken care of. Drum and Bell towers are both easily walkable 10-15min stroll through restaurant streets and make a lovely sunset visit (open till 9pm) and wandering around the exciting if slightly chaotic street food vendors of the Muslim Quarter just next to the towers are well exploring. Get some Biang Biang or a Xian traditional Chinese Burger. The Metro is also about 10-15 mins walk roughly near the drum tower which can take you to Huaqing Palace in about 50mins North East of the city (1 simple line change) I suggest you get entry tickets and shuttle for both palace and Terracotta Warriors (+10 mins shuttle from Huaqing Palace).

Didn't expect to have a choice of both soft and firm pillows! The shower pressure was fantastic too, washing away all the day's fatigue. And they even had freshly made Xi'an oil noodles for breakfast! Simple pleasures like these really make a couple's trip. Definitely my top choice for the next vacation!

Walking distance from the Bell Tower, and there are plenty of great food options near the residential area. Most importantly, the warm welcome from the front desk staff (Ms. Haiyan) was fantastic. Even though I had to change my flight last minute and cut my trip short, this Xi'an journey was perfect. Five-star rating across the board!

The on-site restaurant on the fourth floor offers great value for money, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. Front desk staffer Xiao Yang was also very welcoming and hospitable.

My first time trying this place, and I thought it was great! I booked the cheapest room, which I think was a 16-person dorm, but the front desk lady upgraded me to a 12-person one. I even extended my stay for another night. The environment inside is quite peaceful. Everyone in the common areas is pretty respectful, except for a few loud shouts during billiards sometimes! Oh, and there were a lot of foreigners, couples mostly, chatting among themselves – it had a nice vibe. Since it was my first time, I wasn't familiar with everything and didn't prepare toiletries. When I went to shower, I even saw two guys coming out of the same stall, which honestly stunned me a bit. However, the privacy in the restrooms and shower rooms is excellent; they're all enclosed. The hot water comes on quickly, the water pressure is strong, and everything is clean. Everyone seemed pretty well-behaved. I mostly kept to myself, though, and didn't really interact with anyone. At one point, a foreigner asked me in English if he could use a stool. I honestly didn't understand anything he said, but I got his meaning and just waved my hand. He must have thought I was refusing him because he started to leave. I was so flustered I couldn't speak, just waving my hands around like fans, trying to convey my meaning. He must have seen my panic and understood, so he moved the stool. Only then could I relax and continue drinking my hot water alone. (I saw the front desk staff, both a guy and a lady, speaking English with the foreigners, and I was so envious! Ugh, I can only read English; I can't understand or speak it. I really need to practice my listening and speaking skills. I'll try my luck again next time.) Overall, I think it's a pretty good place. Oh, and its location is fantastic, right by the Bell Tower. But make sure you exit the correct subway station, or else a directionally challenged person like me will spend almost an hour wandering around trying to find it!

Days of Encounters Marking my tenth year as a Marriott Ambassador, and ten years of encountering the world. Arriving at Le Méridien Xi'an, a beautiful sunrise greeted me, sparking another wonderful encounter. Over the years, the good I've seen has outweighed life's difficulties. I've stayed at this Le Méridien Chanba hotel over ten times, and each visit brings unexpected small joys and delights. My sincere thanks to Yuly from the front desk for her warm, generous, comforting, and thoughtful service. She made Le Méridien Xi'an Chanba feel like a ”home” to me. Spring thoughts ponder millennia, but summer cicadas sing through the ages. Autumn's grandeur fades into winter, a pot of ice clear, suddenly warm and then cold. Days just pass one by one, and warmth accumulates year after year. I believe those sudden, tender moments that flash in my mind are perhaps the unexpected encounters brought by my travels. Thank you, Le Méridien, my old friend, for your companionship over the years. You've constantly captivated me with diverse aesthetic spaces and enveloped me with warm greetings. Love love love this hotel!!! I stayed with my friend in a 2 bed 2 bath room for 8 nights and it was extremely spacious and comfortable. The rooms were very clean and the beds super super super comfy ( I could sleep it in all day but my itinerary was super full). The photos online are quite true to the actual room. They had extremely good service too, starting from the airport pickup, where they were on time and the car was spacious and luxurious! We did the 5 seater sedan at RMB100, the price is comparable to a didi premium but the difference is that they would track your flight and made sure to you were taken care of. The hotel even had Butler service and was very attentive, I could even get them to help store my friend's birthday cake sent from the local cake shop and send it up to us when we were back. The laundry service was handy for a long stay, it was easy to use (and we were on the same floor so it felt like home to just go to and from our room to the laundry room). They even had special prices for popular shows, easily saving more than 50% of the listed price. Thanks for being a home away from home! PS the cats on the 2nd floor is super cute!

On a road trip, we passed through Xi'an and chose an executive room at the Westin, and we were absolutely delighted! The hotel's location is unparalleled; stepping out, you're right on the South Square of the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, practically on the Grand Tang Dynasty Everbright City Pedestrian Street. The hotel isn't new, but it's exceptionally well-maintained, exquisite in every detail, and truly faultless. The room wasn't huge, but all the facilities were top-notch and very easy to use. The executive lounge boasts the most stunning views, with the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda practically at your fingertips, and the South Square's scenery and visitors all visible below. I must particularly mention the Westin's beds; both the mattress and bedding were incredibly comfortable. We've driven through Xi'an many times and stayed in many similar hotels, but this experience at the Westin was the best. I probably won't bother trying other hotels when I visit Xi'an again. (Just a tiny, minor suggestion: some areas of the executive lounge floor were a bit sticky…)

The service was excellent; staff greeted us proactively every time. Breakfast was plentiful, offering both Spanish delicacies and local Xi'an specialties. We paid extra to upgrade to an executive room, and the afternoon tea was substantial. The executive breakfast, which allows à la carte ordering, is highly recommended. The hotel's location is fantastic, close to major attractions and with convenient transportation.

First, the positives: the location and the view from the window are excellent. Although it's an older five-star hotel, the room cleanliness is truly impeccable. The front desk and restaurant staff were also very professional. Breakfast was delicious. The downsides are also quite obvious: the shower water pressure was low, and the drain was very slow, causing water to pool. The room faced the street, so it was a bit noisy at night. There's no swimming pool, and the gym is tiny. I heard from the staff that the hotel is gradually undergoing renovations and upgrades. I hope for a better facility experience next time.

My stay at Grand Hyatt Xi'an was absolutely fantastic, and a special shout-out to Vivian at the front desk! She made the check-in process incredibly efficient and thorough, patiently explaining all the hotel's amenities. Knowing I had an early flight the next morning, she proactively and thoughtfully arranged complimentary airport transfer, saving me the hassle of booking a car myself. After check-in, she even presented me with a special 'energy pack' filled with authentic local snacks from Shaanxi – a truly heartwarming and generous gesture. Her communication throughout was gentle and attentive, demonstrating full professionalism. With such amazing front desk service, I'll definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Xi'an, and I highly recommend everyone to stay here and ask for Vivian!

The hotel environment is really great, with lots of greenery and trees everywhere, making for a very comfortable stay. This time I stayed for quite a while, and the butler was wonderfully attentive throughout my stay, always responding promptly to any requests and handling them with incredible patience. They even helped me find something I accidentally left behind right away, which was a huge relief when traveling with kids. This is definitely a family-friendly hotel, and choosing a package for a long stay offers great value for money. The only minor suggestion is that the restaurant food was a bit bland, so we opted to eat out for a few days. However, the overall experience was still very good, and I would definitely consider this hotel again for our next family trip.

I had a particularly satisfying stay this time! The hotel's location is excellent, making it very convenient for dining out and getting around. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient with the check-in process. The room was spotless, the bathroom had a great wet/dry separation with no odors, and the bedding was soft and clean. The soundproofing was fantastic; I couldn't hear any hallway noise at all at night. All the facilities were complete and working well, the air conditioning was quiet, and toiletries were fully stocked. The cleaning staff were thorough, and any requests were promptly handled. It's really great value for money, my top choice for business trips or vacations, and I've already recommended it to friends!

The hotel isn't large, but its location is incredibly convenient, right next to the city wall. You can literally open your window and see the ancient wall. It's not far to walk to Yongning Gate, the Stele Forest, and the Bell Tower. Downstairs, there are bars and BBQ joints. The facilities are comprehensive, the decor is stylish and modern, and the service is warm and attentive. I absolutely loved the view from the rooftop terrace and the high-quality breakfast!

Right across from the Drum Tower, the location is excellent. The room was clean, tidy, spacious, and bright, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. The staff cleaned punctually every day. When checking out, the front desk lady even asked if I needed two bottles of warm mineral water, which was very thoughtful. The only minor drawback is that the room isn't soundproof. However, I still love staying at Ji Hotel; I like its layout, the small tea table, and the black tea is good too.
