We spent 2 nights in one of the upgraded double rooms. Upon check in we were promptly greeted by a woman who spoke perfect English, she has been married to an American for 50 years after all. She directed us around to the parking where we could store our bikes. Upstairs we found our room to be clean, well appointed, and spacious. We really liked having the small refrigerator in the room but sure would have loved a small microwave as well. The bed was comfortable, we had a sofa and a chair (a second chair would be nice), the shower roomy and hot. The hotel location was perfect, almost next door to the central plaza and within easy walking distance to grocery stores, the train station, and the historical sites. We did not try the breakfast so can't comment on that. Our only complaint was that the air conditioner was a bit too small for the room. The room faced the west side and it got quite warm in the afternoon. We put the A/C temperature at 18 but the room never got below 24 and the fan was tepid at best. Otherwise it was a fine room for a 2 night stay

Our youngest child unfortunately tripped and badly cut his head whilst at the hotel. In a flash on seeing him the hotel were out with bandages and ice packs and an ambulance was called, they were so incredibly helpful and understanding we can't thank them enough This over and above attention to detail and a lovely and warm welcome and always asking what more we needed Has always been so and have stayed there four times over the last 8 years turning up each time with an extra child Thank you

The Kolpig movement is a social foundation. Therefore the hotel looks more like a hostel, bright, sleek and functional. From the parking lot you walk through a nice outdoor space (beer garden) to the reception desk. Everything looked very clean and well kept. Our room was quite small but well designed and so was the bathroom. The only chair stood in front of the desk, and it would have been nice to have a second seat. We found that there were rooms of different sizes for the same price. We stayed in 103 whereas our friends in 105 had much more space. We had comfortable beds and it was quiet at night. Unfortunately we could not try the restaurant because it was closed due to a private function. The breakfast the next morning was good with nice choices and very friendly staff. It’s less than 20 minutes to walk to the city. The receptionist recommended the “Naturfreundehaus” (Outdoor sitting only!) which was only a short walk away. The food was excellent! We certainly would stay in the Kolping hotel again!

Trotz Corona war hier alles Bestens. Schönes großes Zimmer, wo man auch noch gut Arbeiten könnte. Auch der Service beim Frühstück war angenehm und zuvorkommend, das Angebot vielfältig. Ein kleine Tischlampe oder Lampe über dem Tisch wäre eine gute Ergänzung. Das Auto kann man auch im nahen Parkhaus zum Pauschalpreis gut unterbringen.

Wir waren auf unserer Städtereise nun zum wiederholten Male in einem B&B Hotel. Aber dieses Mal hatten wir ein bisschen Pech mit dem Zimmer(103). Nicht nur das es ein Behindertengerechtes Zimmer war, was ja vollkommen ok gewesen ist (Rollstuhl gerechte Dusche und Toilette), sondern die Lage direkt zum Eingang hin war nicht gerade optimal. Viele Raucher, die sich vor der Tür versammelten und gequalmt haben wie die Dollen, so daß es nicht möglich war das Fenster zu kippen ohne im Zimmer zu ersticken. Abgesehen davon trug das laute Erzählen der Raucher auch noch dazu bei, dass man das Fenster erst in der Nacht öffnen konnte, um ein bisschen Frischluft und Ruhe genießen zu können. Abgesehen davon kann das Hotel mit einer top Lage punkten. ( Direkt gegenüber befindet sich die Einkaufs-und Restaurantmeile), genauso wie mit einem fairen Parkplatzpreis!! Aber aufgrund der schlechten Lage des Zimmers gibt es von uns keine Weiterempfehlung.
