Que rêver de mieux pour l’accueil, l’emplacement, le confort, la propreté, la disponibilité , le calme et j’en oublie. Proche de la route principale et à côté du Rocher du Lion, cette maison d’hôtes familiale est tout ce qu’on cherchait. La maman cuisine divinement bien, et elle est très disponible , le papa s’occupe de son beau jardin, et Prabash le fils est adorable, il propose les excursions et le transport soit en tuk-tuk soit en voiture. Il est même venu nous chercher à l’aéroport à 3h de route.Les prix sont très raisonnables.Il nous a amenés à Polonaruwa, Dambula et Anurâdhapura. Le rocher du lion est tout proche ainsi que des bars et restaurants et commerces à 10mn à pied . Nous sommes restés 4 nuits . Le rapport qualité /prix est exceptionnel .

This is the best place in Sigiriya! :) we stayed here for two nights and it had been one if our favourite places in Sri Lanka. We loved EVERYTHING about this place. Everyone should come here! Mori our host is the kindest sweetest man. He never stops making sure you are happy. the food (made by his lovely wife) is INCREDIBLE!!! The most wonderful home cooked Sri Lanka food. absolutely delicious and giant portions…they just want to make you happy they’re such a nice family! The bed was very comfortable, cute place with a nice hot shower and the gardens around the place are beautiful. Mori is also an experienced senior guide of 30 years and knows everything about Sigiriya Rock and the area. He can give you a guided tour if you want (doesn’t pressure at all though he’s so nice). we climbed both Sigiriya and Pidurangala with him and it was really worth it! we got so much more out of it that way. The place is an amazing value - Just book it now! you won’t regret it :)

I think we had our best time in Sri Lanka in Sinhagiri villa. This hotel is as eco-friendly as you can get. It uses completely renewable energy (also for the air conditioning) and the food in their restaurant is 100% organic. The vegetables and fruit you have for breakfast and dinner come from their garden and are grown without using any chemicals or pesticides. It is also the best food we have had in Sri Lanka. The vegetable curry dish comes with about 5 different vegetable dishes - each one bursting with flavour and mouth-wateringly delicious. Breakfast is a treat as well with lots of fruit from the garden and local breakfast dishes such as Sri Lankan pancakes and coconut roti with sambal. In addition, you are in the middle of nature so a peacock comes for a visit in the garden each day! Sriyani and her husband are also the most warm-hearted people you can meet. We had wonderful talks with them about everything and they went out of their way for us. We actually consider them friends now and hope to see them soon again! They are passionate about the environment and run their hotel and restaurant in a way that is good for the local surroundings, the people and the planet. We highly recommend!

Не работал кондиционер, но нас заранее предупредили об этом и предложили скидку. В итоге кондиционер и не нужен был, было комфортно просто с вентилятором. Завтрак сытный и вкусный.

A unique experience waking in the tree canopy where we could hear & see the monkeys in the adjacent trees going about their daily business. Outdoor but private shower a real treat. The staff were excellent and the meals were beautifully presented and delicious including a candle lit BBQ dinner. Great stepping off point for safari’s, boat rides, Sagiriya Rock & other attractions such as a wood carver & having a traditional breakfast with a local farm family. A local nocturnal excursion spotting the rare & elusive Loris primates was amazing & a highlight. We highly recommend this wonderful venue and what it offers.

Kalundewa retreat is a beutiful place designed preserving the nature. The service provided is also as expected and the food was also tasty. Staff is also nice and friendly and is always available for anything you need. We stayed at karanda chalet and the chalet was also spacious enough. The garden is also well maintained and overall it’s a beutiful place. Few recommendations that is better if done. 1. On top of the karanda chalet outdoor pool it’s a tree with lots of bats. As nature calls their feces also sometimes fall into the pool and a lot of leaves too fall into the pool. We are very happy to see the pool in the middle of nature but having a dip and swimming in that outdoor pool is a bit risky.. so we didnt swim. If you can please clean the pool as much as possible before the guests arrive and try to come up with an idea to cover the pool when not in use. 2. So many glasses at karanda chalet are at a location that is not possible to clean daily.. clean them as much as possible and try to clean the outdoor glass doors before the next guest arrives ( so they have a crystal clear view through the glasses) 3. When we arrived a lot of leaves were fallen on the outdoor deck and the day bed cushions were not cleaned. I understand that according to the location of the karanda chalet if is very hard to keep it clean with the monkeys and the massive amount of large trees on top of it but I feel you can give a bit more effort to clean and keep to give a good looking first impression about the chalet to the guests. Please clean the outdoor day bed cushions and keep them separately so the guests can use them when needed ( otherwise the monkeys sit on them and make it dirty) 4. Bathroom is nice but being a five star hotel the bathroom amneties could have been of better quality. When ever possible please replace them to a luxury category. Also please keep up with your service. We had a nice stay there.

・Pizza Hutが近いので、最悪ここで晩ごはんを調達出来る
・騒がしさはなかったので、のんびりと過ごせる
・道路に面しておらず少し奥まった場所にある
・はっきりした「レセプション」という場所が無いので、質問がある場合は敷地内の家を尋ねる感じになるぽい？
・蚊が入ってくるので絶対にドアは開けっ放しにしない

This place was amazing and we regretted that we only stayed for 1 night as a base for climbing Sigiriya Rock. Everything was just great! Highly recommend staying here. - Staff incredibly helpful and welcoming. - Pool was clean and well maintained and a lovely spot to hang out - Restaurant on the top floor with a view of Sigiriya Rock and amazing food from the menu - The room was spacious, clean, newly renovated with a comfy bed. - Shower was hot with great pressure - They organised an early morning TukTuk so we could climb Sigiriya Rock for sunset (highly recommend) - Location is beautiful - we saw a variety of wildlife from the pool!

Nelu Villa is a stunning hotel nestled in the serene rice fields with a breathtaking view of Lion’s Rock. The staff at Nelu Villa are incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant stay. The hotel offers excellent free Wi-Fi and wonderfully cool air-conditioned rooms. The rooms are adorned with crisp white linens and provide a comfortable, relaxing ambiance. Overall, the room was exceptional, and our experience at Nelu Villa was nothing short of fantastic. I highly recommend booking your stay here; we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our visit.

This family run lodge is clean, comfortable and very friendly. The family went out of their way to make us feel welcome and show us around the local sights. You should definitely stay here if you visit Sigiriya and have the family cook you an authentic Sri Lankan dinner. The pumpkin curry is the best I've ever tasted! They will taxi you wherever you want to go in their tuktuk and take really good care of you.
