I strongly recommend English comfort house if you’re looking for a good place for staying in Ipoh. Although it is not located near to the city centre of Ipoh, but you can easily access it if you’re driving. The house provides you with everything that you need. comfort beds, high speed internet, food and drinks, board games, and etc. Rachel responded promptly to questions and provided clear instructions for check in/out procedures. You will surely want to continue staying with them again next time when you are back to Ipoh.

PPengguna TetamuIf you’re looking for a cozy place, a quiet environment, a nice lady with a happy smile who will welcome you to this tiny guesthouse, a clean and comfortable room, with the door that you have to remember to lock with a real key like in the old days, if you want to sleep surrounded by silence and be awakened by the chirping of birds, well, this is the place for you. The name itself and the interior decoration want to give a perception of old English cottage, although with a bit too many modern reproductions of old furniture. But it’s cute – and unusual. You can park the car inside – on a first come first serve basis. I was lucky to get the room at the first floor with the larger balcony. The bed is extremely comfortable, and the night silence helps having a perfect sleeping experience. They do not serve breakfast in the morning, but this is not a big issue for me. You can find places for that within a few minutes’ drive from here. That was my first experience there, just for one night. I will probably choose it again on my next trip to Ipoh.

PPengguna TetamuIpoh Concept Services is a very basic service apartment that is linked to the Ritz Garden Hotel in Ipoh. The location is in the centre of town, but not exactly where all the famous eateries are - it’s about a 500m-800m walk away. The hotel parking is very narrow and limited, but it’s relatively well lit and safe. The room is well maintained and the water pressure in the bathroom is excellent, although the room is a little dim and more lights would have helped. There is also a couple of pubs directly behind the hotel hence you do hear loud music at night till about midnight. There is also a swimming pool and a very small gym - with no treadmill. Overall though, this was a pleasant stay for the price we paid.

PPengguna TetamuThe look and feel of Sarang Paloh is lovely. It has an old world style which we loved. The location is also great, ten minutes from the station and close to lots of restaurants and spots in the old town.
The room has a nice style to it as does the garden you walk through. The room facilities were lacking, with no fridge and no safe which we would expect at this price point. Hot water in the shower doesn’t last long and they provide a 3 in 1 body wash, shampoo and conditioner, again something we wouldn’t expect at this price point. The hotel also doesn’t offer room cleaning. This may have been because we stayed for two nights only but this is not communicated on the website or at check in. This meant used cups or water bottles aren’t cleared nor is the rubbish bin emptied. We were also not made aware of locally available discounts for staying at the hotel.
All in all an ok stay but several small things made this not value for the money we paid.

PPengguna TetamuZum Zimmer: Wir haben das Hotel noch am Tag der Ankunft gewechselt und gar nicht dort geschlafen, die „Matratze“ ist steinhart, das Bett ist sehr klein für zwei Personen, das Moskitonetz ist trotzdem zu klein, um es zu schließen, man hört aus dem Nachbarzimmer jedes einzelne Geräusch und Wort, im Bad gab es Käfer. Zur Buchung: Die Buchung über die Hotelwebsite funktionierte nicht, weil die Zahlung nicht abgeschlossen werden konnte. Wir haben daraufhin eine Mail geschickt und mussten dann den Betrag vorab überweisen, wobei eine Transaktion von einem Schweizer auf ein malaysisches Konto natürlich ein paar Tage dauert. (War natürlich unser Fehler, uns überhaupt darauf einzulassen.) Obwohl der Betrag auf unserem Konto verbucht und die Transaktion abgeschlossen war, hat das Hotel bis zum Schluss behauptet, die Zahlung sei bei ihnen nicht eingegangen und wir mussten dann vor Ort nochmals bar bezahlen. Die Überweisung wollten sie zurückerstatten, sobald sie bei ihnen auf dem Konto eintrifft. Der Kontakt vor Ort an der nur sehr sporadisch besetzten Rezeption lief über einen jungen Mitarbeiter, der nur schlecht Englisch sprach, der Mailverkehr mit dem Geschäftsführer o.Ä. Antwort auf Mails kam dann aber auch nur noch sporadisch. Das Geld wurde uns bislang nicht zurücküberwiesen.

PPengguna Tanpa NamaThe location of the property is opposite the bar, so it's kinda noisy. The bed sheet has a dirty stain. Water pressure is good. Parking is limited if you check in early then you got the spot. The room is quite spacious. Overall it is an average stay.
