Pleasant hotel, however without doubt the worst customer service I’ve experienced. I initially booked via booking.com where no upfront payment was required. I had to make an amendment to the booking and cancelled booking.com and booked Direct with hotel. I was travelling with my wife for business and to meet with Dutch colleagues at the hotel. On arrival at the hotel, I was informed they had 2 bookings for me. I advised this was a mistake and the receptionist told me that it was ‘no problem’ and the second room would be cancelled. The next day I received an email cancellation with an invoice for the 2 nights which had been taken from my company credit card. I explained that the booking was an error but the response inferred that I was lying and had booked the room for other unknown guests. Had I have known I was being charged for the room, I would have found someone somewhere who could have used it. Eventually after some e-mails I was offered a refund for the 2nd night on the basis that the hotel wasn’t full that night. I asked for a manager to review the situation and for refund to be credited back to card I paid with. I have received no further communication from the hotel or any refund. I spoke to my bank who advised the hotels position was that 2 bookings had been made and were therefore chargeable despite e-mails to contrary re refund for 1 night. I have stayed in a number of hotels in The Netherlands for business and never experienced such poor service. On a plus point, the hotel is quite nice and is in a nice town, but will not be visited again by me.

My husband and I stayed here a few nights. Great location to City Center. The room was clean and spacious as was the bathroom. We didn’t use the restaurant option because we felt it to be more expensive than what was offered locally. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. We would consider staying here again. Not sure why they have so many negative reviews- maybe it’s expectation / perceptions?

Wonderful hotel! Perfect location across from train station, and short walk into town. Very large, comfortable room with a little balcony and sitting area. The room had all amenities including a hair dryer and coffee/tea. Highly recommend and will definitely stay there again.

Das Hotel liegt mitten im Zentrum und man kann alles fußläufig erreichen. Die Infos zum Parken am Hotel in der Fußgängerzone wurden vorab super mitgeteilt. Das Personal war freundlich. Die Zimmerausstattung war sehr einfach und in die Jahre gekommen. Trotzdem war alles da was man braucht. Das Frühstück war auch einfach. Wenig Auswahl aber Toast, Aufschnitt, Obst und Joghurt war da. Wer einen tollen Citytrip machen möchte und keine Ansprüche an Ausstattung und Ambiente hat, kann hier für Holländische Verhältnisse eher günstig übernachten.

We recently stayed at this hotel as we had to be in Leeuwarden for a meeting. The hotel is very new and very beautifully decorated. The lobby is very inviting with plush sofas and stylish decor. The bar also looks very stylish and it was a shame we couldn’t get to use it. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable with a modern bathroom. I couldn’t fault anything in this room. The windows looking onto the balcony and motorway were noise tight so we had a very good sleep. Breakfast was outstanding. Customers were put into slots to visit the breakfast buffet where there was a very large selection of food. Finally, staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Every single person greeted us during our stay. The hotel is great and located not far from the city centre so an ideal place to stay for a quick visit. I would definitely come again, hopefully when all facilities such as the sauna and bar are open to everyone once again. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Erg ruime en mooie moderne kamer met een goed bed. Badkamer ook erg ruim. Alleen jammer dat er nog wat zand in het bad lag. Minpunt is dat het zo'n 20 minuten lopen is naar Leeuwarden Centrum. Ook was er geen koelkastje aanwezig in de kamer.

The hotel was very clean, and situated in a convenient place! I really began to appreciate the lengths that folks in The Netherlands go to to keep their business operations sustainable as well. Gorgeous town with lots of friendly people. I fell in love with the place. I would definitely go again, and choose this location to stay in. The view from my room was very pretty, as well.
