Our reservation was booked through a third party for 2 adults and 2 children and stated “room assigned at check in.” We are a family of four and we were assigned a single king bed room when we checked in our first night (unbeknownst to us). Once we realized the room wasn’t going to work for us we immediately approached the desk (it’s now around 9pm), requesting to be relocated to a room that would better accommodate our family with either a pull out bed or double queen. The man who checked us in at the front asked that we wait for the manager (we waited 45min until 10PM with a 5 and 7 year old) to see if she would move our room assignment. We have never had an issue at other hotels getting a room that would accommodate us—management here, however, refused to change our room assignment despite there being availability unless we went through our third party vendor to cancel and rebook directly at a much higher cost... I didn’t realize hotels don’t have control over room assignments anymore (insert sarcasm)? We ended up buying an air mattress that our kids slept on (after they slept on the floor the first night as they did not have a rollaway bed either). The pros: the maid service was fantastic going above and beyond, making both the air mattress and king bed, refreshing linens and toiletries. The hot breakfast was also satisfying and more than your standard continental. Regardless we’ll be staying at the La Quinta up the street from now on when in Lakeway.

Absolutely amazing resort! Restaurant, pool and spa, you never have to leave! The best part is easily the service though. They are always so great here and they definitely go above and beyond in their personal service to you the customer. They have a great restaurant and bar! The food is good and the bars are always open and ready to serve! My only complaint was it wasn’t busy and they closed the restaurant early….which I get but I almost felt like they rushed us out. However it was fine and we were happy to hit the other bar so the staff could go home since there were only two people there anyways.

Lovely well priced hotel in great area. Lots of dining options nearby. Would have been even better had they not charged the credit card I gave them for incidentals to pay for the room I had already paid for through Trip.com ! This was the second time in two months they did this to me. And each time I had to call or go by and tell them to correct their mistake. Asst manager, Faith, told me they can’t tell if Trip guests have already pre-paid for their room or not …. !?! Funny not funny how all the other hotels I book via Trip can tell and don’t double charge me for my room fee ….. 🤔
