Ececellent location for travellers planning to go Whistler/Blackcomb for Skiing or sniowboarding. The hotel is just a few minutes walk to the gondolas. The pod is clean, neat but still a bit wallet unfriendly for a capsule type hotel. Suggest travellers to avoid upper level pods because of climbing up and down. All staffs are nice, very helpful plus there are racks to store snowboards and locker for storage. , However,combination locks are not provided. Remember to bring at least 3 combination locks if you are interested to stay in this pod hotel.

It took me ages to book online my future stay in Vancouver with that mediocre hostel through first Hostelworld and later directly online with the hostel itself. A real nightmare! Now, I am spending additional time to make sure I post negative reviews online but I am glad to do it. I can assure you that Cambie downtown Seymour hostel is not a reliable, trustworthy hostel you can rely on. Early April, knowing that Canada is busy in spring, autumn and summer, I started doing my homework and booked my stay with Hostelworld. Since then, I did not finish being on the phone and computer correcting booking issues with the hostel staff. First, Hostelworld booking # did not match the hostel one. OK it was corrected. Second, the bookings which followed were cancelled by the hostel without my authorization and they blamed me and Hostelworld. Third, the hostel manager called Victor begged me to cancel the Hostelworld ones and keep his bookings performed directly online with the hostel instead. I did it. And now after all those acrobatics back and forth, Victor has the nerve to cancel them. What a disgrace! I was stunned. FYI, his staff working is rude, impatient and lack of courtesy customer service when I took myself the time to call from USA and confirm my bookings. I was paying the phone calls. It was a real nightmare. Now, I just booked somewhere else. Yes, online Seymour is the cheapest but cheap is expensive. I wasted 2 months and now, today, in June I got a cancellation email from Victor. Unfair not ethical professional business attitude from that hostel! I wish to make sure you all know about it and book somewhere else where it is guaranteed you will have a place where to stay. Anyway, if you decide to book with that hostel, make sure you confirm your booking because what you paid and book might be not what you get. Coming from Canada, it is very strange but unfortunately the staff is not originally from that country. That is why they behave that way. I am a world traveler and never had such nasty, mediocre, and poor level experience. I booked my stay with Edmonton, Calgary, Banff, Lake Louise, Gasper and Tofino within a couple of seconds without going through that ordeal/nightmare. I did not deserve such treatment. The hostel messed with all my bookings. I can write a book. I won't recommend that hostel to my best friends.

Perfect location for downtown vancouver with lots to offer, the staff seemed nice but the guy on the desk on the evening was not impressed with. Very abrupt and unhelpful and unwelcoming. The other staff I dealt with seemed nice and freindly. Connected to q bar which runs events on the evening which is great for socialing, but wouldn't recommend if you was there amd wanting to sleep earlier in the night as music is loud and can be disturbing. Cleanliness was average but what you'd expect from a hostel as its not about there cleaning but sometimes the people staying there with toilets and shower areas not really respected for other guests. Didn't impact my experience and is probably what you'd expect for one of the cheaper hostels in the area

The hotel location is different from the trip.com page , must reconfirm with host. The check in process is easy. However the first night is really nightmare , I arrived late and when I went to washroom , the washroom seems not being used for long time , dusty with two big spiders in the shower place, I was so scared to use it and also the room was freezing cold at night because it is in first floor and no heating . Other than that, the location is quite safe and bus stop is right outside the house and 10 min to Richmond skytrain station which easily to access to city with 1hour. The room also spacious and clean with comfortable furniture.

Location is neutral, as there is not much around to see or eat. From the outside, it looks dated as well, but you'll be surprised once you step inside. It is exceptionally well-maintained and clean. Breakfast room even has a pool table for your enjoyment. If you have a car, this is a great place to stay.

Great place to stay at a fantastic price! Very clean, walking distance to downtown, and the staff are awesome. The beds are comfortable, and there’s some great restaurants on the same block. Claudio, the manager, is the man! Would definitely recommend.

Excellent hostel right in the midst of Victoria. A short walk to the harbor and Chinatown. Super duper value. Free sumptuous breakfast (cheese, olives, tuna, hard boiled eggs, jam, butter, bread, waffles and blue berries) and free dinner!

I almost didn't book here because it appears to be a 1950s motel with fresh paint. That would have been a huge mistake. The location is perfect for wandering downtown and the parks by the lake. The room was bright, colorful, and one of the cleanest ever. I couldn't stop being amazed by the updates and upgrades, and all the bright colors kept me smiling. The color matched vw bus in the lot defines the character. I will choose Hotel Zed again over any of the boring up-scale or traditional places to stay in Kelowna. It's different, fun, and a great place.

Friendly, and helpful staff.The location is very good. The Real Canadian Superstore is very close by, and a Costco is right behind Superstore.. Orchard Park Mall is across the street. The rooms were very clean. The beds, well I slept like a baby on them all night. Absolutely love the beds. The showerhead in.the room we were in was very modern and I loved it. The breakfast was pretty good. You can toast your bread/waffle fancy toaster you would see in Tim Hortons or A&W.Tgey have hard boiled eggs, cereal, muffins, granola bars, yogurt, tea, coffee, apple juice, orange juice and cranberry juice. Also they have a pool and hot tub very close to the reception desk to check in or out. Only a few parking spots in front, a few on the side and the rest of the parking is located in the back. If you park on the side of White Spot parking you will get towed or ticketed.The is a cement dividers and if it snows you may not see them as they are small. Please be aware and be careful. The staff were very friendly- I apparently was the guest of the day and received a nice little treat basket in my room when I checked in. The bed was comfortable with lots of big pillows. Probably the best thing was the amount and type of towels provided. They had plenty of face cloths, hand towels, bath towels and even a bath sheet. Usually I need to call to ask for extra towels- not here! The room was well appointed with a mini fridge and microwave. I gave this a 4 mainly because of location. Although there are restaurants within walking distance, there’s nothing else really nearby. I had a mountain view room which also meant I faced Grandview Hwy. Traffic started about 6am and because there is a little balcony- there is not much sound proofing. Overall my stay was a good one, and if I needed to be in this area again I would choose to stay here.

THE GOOD: CCQ -- Clean, Comfortable, Quiet. Even the beds surprised me. Despite being firmer than I'm used to, they worked out pretty well. Staff was friendly enough, parking OK. THE BAD: Positively TINY rooms! As for the bathroom, well... I've been in bigger aircraft lavatories. In no way is this place ADA-compliant (no elevator, narrow halls, narrow doors). As for their alleged ”continental breakfast,” the facts were not a good match for the description in the property's guest guide (see photos below). There were no donuts or muffins... Just some half-used loaves of store-bought bread, a bunch of granola bars from Costco (which are, largely, little more than refined sugar), something which wanted to be coffee (and more closely resembled burned hydraulic fluid), and a jug of room-temperature orange juice. THE BOTTOM LINE: If you need a place to stay in an emergency, and nothing better's available, you'll probably do OK with this place. Outside of that, look elsewhere. Even if you end up paying more, look elsewhere!

Eclectic old-fashioned motor hotel in a central location. Clean rooms, nostalgic architecture and decor, comfortable beds, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Well priced and accessible. This motel has a colourful history of movie and TV shows filmed there: check Google and the collection of photos in the lobby! It even has its own jigsaw puzzle (a hard one)! There was a lovely playful dog across the fence outside the kitchen door. We spent a night here on the way to a special occasion and will definitely be back.

I stayed two nights (Apr 5 & 6), then returned for two more nights (Apr 21 & 22). I enjoyed every minute, thanks to Ruth, Linda, Dave, & Team. This property is extremely well managed, clean, safe, and quiet. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained. I am looking forward to staying again in July, with friends/family.

You paid what you get, no complaints.

Best hostel I've stayed at in Canada during g my time here. Clean, lots to do and a large kitchen area for you to cook if you don't want to eat out.great Location just off the highway and is in close distance to the chief, Shannon falls downtown and so much more. Would definatley recommend

We stayed here for a night and we were very satisfied with the hotel. The brewery downstairs had good food and drinks. Location was perfect for walking one of the main streets of Squamish where there were plenty of food options and shopping options.
