When we here was a bit of a wait to get registered. The room was nice and very clean. It contained a fridge, microwave, coffee maker etc. However, it did not contain a phone book. Free wifi was available for the guest. The room did not contain a bath mat the tub, although a fair size, was quite slippery. I slipped twice while trying to shower. They provided breakfast which had a wide variety of good food. The hotel is pet friendly, it is my suggestion if you dont like pets go elsewhere. It is pet friendly that should indicate something. It was a fantastic place to stay over all.

While travelling to Edmonton from Toronto - my son and I stayed at this nice little hotel conveniently located in the heart of Regina right near a lot of cool restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful and our room was big, bright and very clean. Breakfast was included and there was a lot to choose from. We had a double room with two big beds and the bathroom with bathtub was quite large too. It was very quiet, which is much appreciated and there's free parking on site, which is great too!

Totally concur with previous 1 star reviews. Colonial is now a grade “F” dive that has shady and destitute looking people living there and lurking around. Colonial used to be a good, family motel years gone by, but it’s not even a shadow of its former status. After making our reservation, we phoned a couple of days in advance to see if we could check in early. Front desk staff said no problem. Then on arrival day, tried to check in 1 hour early and were told to come back at 3:00 pm, the regular check in time. Checked in at 3:00 pm and walked down hallway to room. Didn’t need to unlock door, as it was wide open and both beds were all ruffled and unmade! Housekeeping staff working in another room said they needed 5 more minutes to get our room ready. When room was supposedly ready, microwave oven was missing. Staff supplied one after we asked. Room didn’t look properly prepared and clean (and there was no fresh scent of cleaner), but we had to leave for several hours. Got back to room later that evening to settle down. Closer inspection at that point revealed very dirty floor. Next checked bed, lifted cover and found a curly hair on wrinkled sheets!!! Holy crap, the staff hadn’t changed the sheets!!! Had a sleeping bag in our vehicle, so brought that in room to sleep in, placed on top of second bed. Lost a lot of sleep, as we were awakened off and on for a couple of hours starting at 3:00 am with noise and commotion in hallway (drunk and loud talking, knocking on doors, doors banging shut, etc.). Shocked to find such a flea bag dump on 8th Street situated within a very good neighbourhood. Dives like this are to be expected on west side of Saskatoon, but certainly not on east side. People with nice houses across from Colonial must be aghast at what they have to look at now every day and the potential for crime. What a nightmare stay!! As seniors, this was -- hands down --- the worst motel/hotel experience ever!! At checkout next morning, tried to get a refund after explaining the nightmare details. Clerk was sheepish and said sorry, but he couldn’t do anything. What he then said took the cake: “Next time you come to stay, maybe the manager could work out some kind of discount.” Next time!!?? Not a snowball’s chance. Warning, loud and clear: DON’T STAY HERE!! In fact, don’t come anywhere near the place!! Period!!

Have stayed here many times. This is a clean well kept hotel. All though the staff has a heavy oriental accident it is never the less friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spartan but clean. Microwaves and a fridge in each room. Located immediately off #1 highway but far enough off-highway to limit vehicle noise. Many fast food outlets are within walking distance. The hotel has no laundry service and there are no self-serve public laundries we could locate in Swift Current. If travelling with family or friends I recommend you request the Safari Family Room. It has two bedrooms and a fully stocked and equipped kitchen. I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

Wifi didn’t work but the very nice Lady at the front desk got us into another room where it did work. Room’s are clean. Service is friendly. Overall a good place to stay. We will definitely stay there again on our next travel to Manitoba. There was a bit of noise outside but nothing to loose sleep over…..
