Posizione privilegiata vicino a tutto, anche a Gaia, sulla riva opposta del fiume raggiungibile tranquillamente a piedi. Ottima accoglienza, personale gentile e disponibile. Buona la colazione sia dolce che salata, nello stesso locale c'è un servizio ristorante e, a volte, c'è musica dal vivo. Solo la pulizia è migliorabile ma anche così è più che accettabile. Avevamo una camera familiare all'ultimo piano con vista suggestiva sul Ponte Dom Luis I e Gaia. Straconsigliato!
Menina Colina Guesthouse

Last year I had the most wonderful stay at Menina Colina, and was excited to return. Unfortunately I now wish I had reserved elsewhere, as it has been nothing but a disappointment. Prices are so much higher than a year ago, but I thought I got what was a good deal on the garden room. Turns out it is greatly overpriced for what is offered, as it has none of the exquisite design or attention to detail that the interior rooms have. It also seems to be neglected in terms of maintenance. The coffee machine was leaking, and after reporting it, it was made out to be my fault as I was using it incorrectly. I had to physically show a member of staff the leaked water for them to agree to replace it. I was really annoyed that they felt that they needed to demonstrate to me how it works rather than just replacing it immediately. The next disappointment was that the room was initially not serviced at all, and no explanation was given. When you are paying $165 for a mediocre room (not even including breakfast), one would at the very least expect the bins to be emptied. The bathroom also had a terrible smell that permeated the room, and mosquitoes were a problem too. Management did offer me lunch or attendance of their fado show, but none of these arrangements fitted into my busy programme. I thought a small financial compensation would have made more sense. That did not happen, and nothing further was mentioned or discussed on check-out. The final issue was the online check-out which they require. When I tried to complete it, my bill was for my entire stay, although 3 of the 4 nights had already been paid months in advance. So my conclusion is unfortunately that Menina Colina’s standards have dropped significantly, and that it is overpriced for the lack of attention to detail that is evident in several areas.

OK so we arrived very early and the whole of the front and one side of the hotel is surrounded by construction for the new metro. I really feel for the staff but they were handling it well. We did have to wait a long time to check in but that was because they wanted to give us a room away from the building work. The junior suite was great and the welcome was fab. Breakfast was stunning and the staff were adorable.

Recently stayed here as part of my husbands 70th birthday, hotel kindly upgraded us to a deluxe room and there was a small cake waiting for us which was a lovely touch. The room was really lovely, only downside is that they only give you 1 free bottle of water per visit and only few pods for coffee machine which given it was a deluxe room a bit poor. However, apart from this small glitch, everything else we could not fault at the hotel. Bed was very comfortable, reception staff were very helpful in advising us on on areas to visit. Lovely continental breakfast and cooked one but not to order so on hot plates instead, local restaurants nearby which I would recomend are Solar Moinho de Vento & Meia Nau, which are both 5 mins walk away.

The first main reason to stay at this hotel was to see Luis bridge directly. Super close to river within 50 steps from hotel and easy to see bridge. But the hotel room had 2 major defects. The first one was drain system at shower booth did not work well. whenever i took shower, the water did not drain well and it was about to overflow and flood over shower booth. The second one was my room was at top of the building where i could enjoy the sky through the window. But the problem was that the window did not close firmly. Overall, everything was perfect like location, friendly staff except 1 woman at front desk whose behavior did look so angry all the time. Of course i can understand why that hotel's facilities were not in good condition because the building was totally old. Breakfast was very nice to enjoy. Before i stay in Porto, i had stayed 3 nights at Holiday inn in Lisbon. Comparing with 2 hotels each other in terms of breakfast, this hotel seemed to be better. Next time, if i should travel in Porto, i would find another hotel except this one due to those defects i've mentioned above.

Loved staying at this hotel. Upon arrival staff was enthusiastic to greet us and give essential information to enjoy our stay in Porto. We were recommended to a restaurant called O Fado which was local cuisine with traditional local music,Fado Rooftop views of bridge and river. Charming area. Tram is accessible right outside. Great breakfast.

Nisbah harga/prestasi keseluruhan adalah baik, hotel ini bersih dan bersih, walaupun ia bukan hotel yang bagus, ia mempunyai segala-galanya yang sepatutnya ada. Tidak mengapa untuk hidup begitu-begitu. Acungkan jempol 👍

Location was about 5 mins drive from Vila Da Nova Devasas train station and 10 mins walk to Camara Gaia subway station. It’s not that close to Porto city centre. You got to Uber or walk everywhere. No free water in room unless you’re a Hilton Honors Silver member and above, and that’s only for the 1st bottle. Items like cotton pads and vanity kits were not restocked unless requested. Hand towels were also provided on the first day only. Dental kits have to be requested as well. Kinda disappointed based on the fact that it was a stay for our honeymoon but even so water was chargeable at 6 Euros per bottle because I was only a Blue HH member. Towel racks were not available, only hooks. Otherwise great service from the ground staff who could speak English except for a waitress who couldn’t understand “no ham no bacon” for our omelettes! Simple breakfast served daily. We were also given a small cake to celebrate. Thanks for the stay.

The hotel is located next to the TRINDADE metro station which leads to the airport and which connects the différents metro lines which is very practical. The staff is of high quality and very welcoming and friendly. I have already stayed in this hotel in 2020. The room is very clean and well appointed. I recommend this hotel

Es un Alojamiento que esta pensado para robar al turista. NO es una persona. Es la empresa o quien la gestiona que armo un sistema de robo. LEAN OPINIONES EN GOOGLE POR FAVOR. Y estoy seguro que hay gente a la que le robaron pero no se dieron cuenta por no contar todo el dinero en el momento y seguir viaje. Nos dijeron que tenias que poner un cartel para que te hagan el cuarto y sino no entraban. No dejamos el cartel y cuando se denuncio el robo, y después de demor**** 3 días, nos dijeron que vieron en las cámaras que entraron a arreglar la cortina que no funcionaba. Primer punto la cortina cuando nos fuimos seguía sin funcionar. Segundo nunca nos avisaron que iban a entrar al apartamento. Tercero no nos informaron que entraron, tampoco cuando hicimos la denuncia sino después que pedimos que revisen las cámaras. Quien entra a robar con cámaras en los pasillos? de nuevo LEAN OPINIONES EN GOOGLE. Es sistemático y armado por la empresa o quien la dirige. Nos reconocieron que entraron al cuarto, cuando no lo pedimos y no nos avisaron. Parece que en Portugal se puede entrar a un departamento ocupado a hacer supuestos arreglos sin avisar a los huéspedes. No lo había escuchado nunca. Y lo mejor reconocen que entraron al cuarto, pero como dentro no hay cámaras no pueden dar fe de que nos robaron. Pero de nuevo no fuimos los únicos. En otro cuarto también entraron, abrieron las valijas pero no encontraron dinero. Y quien dice ser el manager, se hace el desentendido. Por eso sostengo que es la empresa quien tiene armado un plan de robo a los pasajero. La otra opción es que nosotros y los otros huéspedes de otros paises, nos hayamos puesto de acuerdo para hacer falsas denuncias... Eso si estaría bueno que nos expliquen como fue que denunciamos un robo sin saber que alguien había entrado al cuarto?? Tuvimos suerte parece... Porque el cuarto no se limpio, y no nos avisaron que alguien iba a entrar o entro... o sea denunciamos el robo y justo en las cámaras se ve que alguien entro... raro que no solo seamos deshonestos y perdamos tiempo de nuestras vacaciones en falsas denuncias, sino que también somos magos...
