Oh dear.. I had high hopes from this small hotel that won " four in a bed" then realised it was from 5 years ago and it looks like nothing has been done since then. I tried to book breakfast and although the manager was very nice about it, I was the only one who would want breakfast and he would have to bring in the chef.. I felt sorry for him and said it was ok, but as a hotel you would imagine you should be able to get breakfast. The room was spacious but with probably the most uncomfortable bed I have slept in. Everywhere looked so tired and in need of a face lift. I am only going to mention the avocado bathroom suite as although I like retro this was a bit too much. So all in all, best intentions but a poor experience.

We stayed on 28th October as my sister had her wedding reception at the inn at the park The meal for wedding reception was excellent as were the staff Breakfast was fine, bacon very overcooked but plenty of everything and sausages were delicious The only slight complaint was as soon as we arrived (we had my 92 year old father with us) The owner had her card machine at the ready and asked for payment we had just walked through the door hadn’t even put our bags down!!! Rooms were clean but needed updating especially the bathrooms

Small user friendly hotel bar and restaurant, stayed two nights and attended a wedding reception hosted by the hotel, entire stay was faultless, friendly welcoming staff and owners, large room was lovely and clean with all the required extras in the room, food and drinks were all reasonably priced and the premises are also dog friendly , breakfast was great and plenty of options available, breakfast waitress was a delightful cheery soul who was helpful and happy to ensure we enjoyed our breakfast.
