Good place to stay

The room I was in is slanted, so the bed is slanted. Didn't sleep well. Told reception, and they moved me to another room that is also slanted. So that doesn't fix my problem but the staff was friendly and tried. I guess there isn't much they can do to fix the room problem. Everything seems really old and the room design is not good with only 2 plugs in the room. One for the fan and one for the TV, so if I need to charge my phone or make a tea, I have to unplug one if them. location is good. Close to the station and center. Next to it is a lovely park.

I stayed overnight in Aberdeen and chose the Mercure Aberdeen Caledonian Hotel for its convenient location near Union Square and the train station. While some areas of the hotel reflect its age and could benefit from modernization, the rooms were still comfortable and the overall atmosphere was pleasant. What truly stood out was the exceptional service. The staff and concierge were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay. Their professionalism and warmth more than made up for any shortcomings in the facilities, and they left a very positive lasting impression on my experience

The hotel was a stone throw from all main attractions in the city. Short walk to the theatre, art gallery and restaurants and bars. The staff working were lovely, well mannered, attentive and happy to help. The room was large and spacious. As you are in the city centre we found the downfall was noise levels. Drunken people and for some reason drilling could be heard in the night. The windows are thin and the seagulls enjoy a early morning sing along. All of this can't be helped by the hotel. Drinks at the bar were nice. I think the food menu could be upgraded to include vegetarian/vegan food options. So you don't need to ask. I stayed for a week and would definitely stay again.

A typical chain hotel. The facilities are well-maintained, and the rooms are quite spacious, feeling comfortable and roomy. The cleanliness is acceptable. However, those with a strong aversion to germs might still want to wipe things down with disinfectant wipes.

Great location and ambiance, the restaurant food is fantastic, and the rooms have an antique charm, like a castle.

We asked for an earlier check in and it only cost £10 for the hour. Room was clean and tea or coffee. Safe and a fridge in the room. We used the lounge in the evening and it was very comfortable

The hotel is well located within the city centre. Heater in the room was exceptional for winter, with a fan for air circulation. The lift was down on the first day, had to drag my luggage up to the 4th floor. It was repaired the next day. Front desk was helpful & approachable. The room was acceptable for a solo traveller & house keeping was good too.

Great old building ,close to things you need

The room is so extremely noisy from the road and railway and pubs etc. informed water was off for 45 Minutes. Even after 4 hrs had to ask several times for water in the tap and toilet. Never to return and no helpful staff neither.

We had a wonderful experience at the Mercure Aberdeen Caledonian Hotel. Every staff member I encountered, from the valet to the check- in to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help! Thank you! Will recommend to my colleagues!
