Hotel dengan Bar di Agrigento

Villa Athena has been the top hotel in Agrigento and one of the well-known luxury hotels in Sicily for decades. We could not get a reservation there on our first trip to Sicily, but this spring we were able to stay for 2 nights. The location is as amazing as pictures and website show - you can look our your window or sit in the garden with a full-on view of the Temples. Absolutely stunning. Having said that, location and view are only one part of the hotel experience. Our room (temple view) was extremely small, but very well-maintained; the bathroom was decent-sized and totally modern. Still, it was the smallest room we've had anywhere in Europe in a long time, let alone for a 5-star hotel. Since we were there before summer, breakfast and dinner were served in a totally indoor space without any view and decorated in an ultra-modern style, which left us a little cold. And while the front desk staff were very welcoming, the restaurant staff did not add much to our experience -- on the first morning, we were ignored (for ordering coffee or seeing a menu) until we called someone over and we never got a single smile from anyone. We were so surprised that I mentioned it - quietly - to the front desk person. It actually made us decide to have dinner elsewhere. On the second morning, the breakfast staff was friendlier, but I have to say that it colored our opinion of the hotel. We were happy to have finally stayed at the Villa, but if I were to return to Agrigento, I'd seek out an alternative. If the Villa advertises itself as a 5-star experience and charges accordingly, it needs to deliver. We'd be willing to stay in less luxury but with warmer, more personal service.

Albergo molto carino, vicino al centro storico, personale molto cortese, questa è già la seconda volta che ci vado, ma gentilezza e cortesia è rimasta la stessa, complimenti. Dimenticavo bellissima piscina e bellissima lochetion.

Hôtel fonctionnel à la décoration terne mais l'accueil est correct, l'endroit propre, le petit déjeuner intéressant et le centre historique n'est pas loin. Le parking proposé est quelques places sur le trottoir devant l'établissement.

Io e la mia compagna ci siamo voluti regalare un viaggio in Sicilia, tappe Palermo, Agrigento e Catania. Ad Agrigento era impossibile non andar a vedere la Valle dei Templi, allora abbiamo scelto questo hotel, siamo rimasti entusiasti su tutti i punti, la struttura è eccellente ma forse le persone che ci lavorano lo sono di più, gentilissime ed estremamente cordiali. Hanno saputo rispondere con competenza a qualsiasi domanda e poi la cena, che dire, ottima, non mi immaginavo che il ristorante di un hotel fosse così! La cura nelle pietanze servite è sicuramente da 10, hanno un cuoco o cuoca oltre ogni aspettativa, ripeto non solo nel cucinare, ma nel servire, nel consigliare, nel raccontare e spiegare le pietanze, il tutto non si limitava a degli ottimi cibi ma era condito anche da quel sapere che i gentilissimi camerieri hanno saputo raccontare a dei semplici commensali. The Doric was absolutely an outstanding resort. Every room had a swimming pool (not just a dunk pool) with lounge chairs and a huge glass door opening up to the valley. The staff, especially Katia, could not do enough for us. Their service was second to none! The food was outstanding, the wine was delicious and the cocktails were superb! The grounds were impeccably manicured with a beautiful view of one of the temples on the other side of the valley. Looking forward to going back and spending a few more days in such a relaxing atmosphere.

Piccola struttura, comodissima al centro e praticamente ”dentro” la stazione ferroviaria che comunque non reca nessun disturbo e offre parcheggio a pagamento purtroppo non disponibile all'interno dell'hotel (ma parcheggi liberi poco distante). Zona tranquilla e sicura, anche se un pò difficile da raggiungere la prima volta, arrivando da Palermo di sera, per le stradine un pò tortuose che hanno fatto ” ubriacare” anche il navigatore. Camera piccina ma deliziosa e funzionale, balconcino con vista mare ( in lontananza) e bagno perfetto. Colazione non immensa, ma comunque soddisfacente e varia, dolce e salata ( unica nota: coprirei con campane di vetro anche la frutta sciroppata). Prezzo nella norma. L'hotel dispone di una terrazza che d'estate deve essere certamente un piacevole luogo di relax serale. Infine, ma da sottolineare con determinazione, la sublime cortesia del personale: gentili, cortesi e pronti ad ogni richiesta. In particolare il Sig. Daniel ,che abbiamo incontrato più spesso, sempre sorridente e garbato. Ci tornerei senza alcun dubbio.
