The Capaldi Hotel, Restaurant & Spa

We stayed at the Capaldi in December 2024 just after Christmas. We couldn't have been happier. The rooms were extremely comfortable, the food delicious. The general manager, Carol, is quite frankly the best general manager we have ever had. Nothing was too much trouble and she thought of everything that could make our stay more enjoyable. We will definitely be back.

This is an outstanding hotel - some of the best service and food! We checked in at the hotel and Carol the manager greeted us with a smile and from then on it was her presence that made all the difference to the quality of our stay. Carol was present at meal times to ensure that guests were happy. She helped and advised us on excursions, ensured that I got a massage appointment after our hike to the Atlas Mountains!! She also very kindly gave us a late check out at 1pm so that my husband and son could experience the dune buggy’s! I could see how well the entire staff responds to Carol’s guidance and the service was polite and efficient. The ambience in the bar is nice for quiet family evening - do try the selection of Moroccan wines. The food is delicious and Michelin quality! Each and every dish we ate was made with care and was flavourful. I have stayed as several hotels across the world and have to say this was one of the best experiences that we have had! The rooms are comfortable with all the amenities we needed available in the room. They are rustic but that goes with the surrounding Atlas Mountains. Thank you to all the staff of Capaldi hotel for making our visit a memorable one!

I celebrated my 60th birthday at this amazing hotel and would not have wanted to be anywhere else! From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left…. (With tears in my eyes) we were utterly spoilt! If I could give more stars I would. It’s a stunning hotel in almost the middle of nowhere, although a mere 35 mins from Marrakesh. The accommodation is pristine, the food sublime and the staff incredible. You would be crazy not to come here. I can also recommend hiking in the Atlas Mountains. It was a humbling experience after the luxury of the Capaldi hotel. Thank you to everyone for looking after us so well. I will never forget your kindness and wonderful hospitality.

What an absolute gem of a hotel. Set at the base of the Atlas Mountains with amazing views and lovely walks. The hotel itself is beautiful - wonderful attention to detail to make it luxurious yet still cosy and very welcoming. Wonderful staff and service.

Thank you, Tara, Ed, Carol and team for a wonderful stay at your relaxed and beautiful hotel at the foothills of the mountains. After a few frantic days of golf and sight seeing in Marrakech it was wonderful to retreat to the Capaldi. Decorated in modern but traditional Moroccan style, the room we had was so spacious and quiet. The air con is there if you need it. We enjoyed the daily menu changes and quality of the food from breakfast through to dinner. Sit upstairs on the roof of the restaurant for pre-dinner drinks and watch the sun go down and the colours of the mountains change. Watched Casablanca in the private cinema on our last night for something different to do. Took the guided walk of three hours from the local town of Amizmiz. The walk can be tailored to your ability. We had lunch in the home of a local family. Lovely fresh bread and super hot tagine; mint tea and water. That was quite special. Thank you to our guide Abdu. Very knowledgeable and friendly. One word of advice - take walking shoes, trainers aren’t enough. Enjoyed the spa at the hotel as well. Good massage. Thanks for everything, we came back recharged and relaxed. Tracy

We have just returned from an idyllic 4 day break at The Capaldi feeling wonderfully pampered and relaxed. The hotel is beautiful with extensive gardens full of olive and palm trees and the breathtaking Atlas mountains providing a stunning backdrop . There are two lovely pools (one being heated) and some of the rooms/villas have their own private pool. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated with its own terrace and a rooftop with sun loungers to relax in privacy. The bar/restaurant area was great and served delicious breakfast including pastries, fruit salad and pancakes and eggs to order. In the evening there was a daily changing menu where you have a choice from 3 starters, 3 mains and 2 desserts. There is a rooftop terrace which was a lovely place for sundowners. The wine list was good and we tried a selection of local wines and beer during our stay. I had a hammam and facial during the stay. The spa facilities and staff were both great and I really enjoyed the treatment. The thing that makes The Capaldi so special though are the staff and excellent, attentive service that they provide. We had a suitcase that did not turn up on arrival and came in the following day on the next flight to Marrakech. The team made went above and beyond to make sure we had adequate supplies until the case arrived and assisted us in keeping in contact with the airport to help track the lost case and also assisted with our transportation to the airport once the bag had been located. Aside from helping us with the lost baggage every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful and the consistently high levels of customer service is something the whole team should be very proud of. Although the main purpose of our short trip was to relax, recharge and read (there is a well stocked library and book exchange area) whilst enjoying the gorgeous sunshine, there were plenty of activities available and some of our fellow guests had great experiences hiking and paragliding in the mountains. We really did love everything about our stay and are already planning our next visit.
