Muthu Oura Praia Hotel

Hotel is beautiful and staff are really friendly. Everything was very clean and smelt lovely during the Christmas period with lovely decorations. Very good supermarket right beside the hotel for anyone going self catering. It only loses a rating as we were all inclusive and food and drink is not served in the hotel but a sister hotel 10 minutes walk away. This wasn’t as big of a problem for my partner and I who are willing to walk (although would’ve been more convenient to have in the actual hotel), however, this may be less convenient for anyone not able to walk as much or families. I would like to say that I have booked this hotel all inclusive with loveholidays app.Everything went well till in the moment when I have arrived.At the arrival I was asked to sign the check in document without being informed that I need to pay a deposit of £100 which was supposed to receive it back but not happed yet.I have asked why before signing the check in I was not informed about this fee.I was told that the third party love holiday stated in their policy which.Well this is mentioned in general but not in particular for this hotel.I was told I can’t check in without paying this fee,event though was 10.30 pm and I was with a child after me.The tone use by the receptionist Camilo was rude and I have asked to speak with a manager.Same attitude received from the manager Sia.Same tone used.Nobody made me fell so bad.I have started the holiday into turn worse way possible.After I have payed the all inclusive package which was not cheap I was treated so badly. Not saying that this is not a 4⭐️ hotel.No water in the room at arrival with all inclusive.Not even a sandwich on arrival with all inclusive.They have asked me to pay a deposit of £100 for any demages I could cause but the rooms literally needs a refurbishment.Broked iron was given for use.Cockroaches in the kitchen.Not worth the price I have payed. I was told I will receive my deposit back but not happened.I want my depoist back asap.

The third time we have stayed at this venue. Standards remain high Friendly welcome on arrival We were early so unable to check in but we completed all the paperwork so that when room was ready it was a swift process We wandered back for 2pm Room was ready and we were grateful to benefit from an upgrade to an apartment. Room 410. Clean tidy well prepared apartment. Whilst some of the furniture may look a little tired, causes us no issues so long that the room is kept clean. Views out onto the main road / with the ocean visible on the horizon No issues with staff, cleaners, reception and all other staff were friendly enough. Pool clean. Plenty of beds There were occasional groups of lads around the pool but they got boisterous on only a few occasions No noise through the night. One of the two lifts was out of action for most of our stay, but no real pressure on lift space when required. Thanks everyone at MGM for a fab 10 night stay.

Stayed here for 7 nights self catering. Can’t fault the place, we were upgraded to a better room which had a massive open living area separate to the bedroom. Pool area is beautiful. Staff on reception went above and beyond nothing was ever an issue.

Just back from 4 nights at this hotel. I have to say I was a bit apprehensive after reading some previous reviews about noisy guests and poorly maintained rooms etc but thankfully my experience was excellent. On arrival we were far too early to check in as expected but thankfully we were given our all inclusive wristbands by lunchtime and were quite happy to stay by the pool availing of some drinks until 4pm when we got checked in and were upgraded to a two room apartment. Whilst it was a little dated the facilities were good and it was spacious, clean and comfortable with a decent sized balcony. I didn’t feel that the hotel was overrun by groups of young people at all. There seemed to be mainly families with younger kids as well as families with early 20 something kids who were all well behaved. I liked the fact that there was also quite a lot of Portuguese guests too. In terms of the All inclusive you can have drinks at the pool bar during the day until 6pm and use the buffet at the sister hotel next door for breakfast/lunch/dinner. It’s only a short walk across the pool and out the gate at the back. You can also eat and drink at the pool bars at all of their other hotels in the group which are all very close by and you can book into all the hotel non buffet restaurants. However, for the restaurants you have to book in advance. The buffet food was fine and plentiful albeit slightly repetitive and sometimes could have been a bit warmer. For my purposes being there for only a few nights it suited well. Location was really good too. Close enough to the ***** (5 min walk) yet far enough away from being in the madness and also very handy to the beach. There is a supermarket Nextdoor to the entrance which was just below our room and an atm and bars/restaurants Nextdoor/ opposite. Decent sized pool too with a deep end and the young girl serving at the pool bar was very friendly. I would have no hesitation returning here.

Stay was 10/10. Second time me and my mother stayed here in January we were greeted by very pleasant and welcoming staff. The room was simple and clean. We also enjoyed the hangover bar which is connected to the hotel and also 10/10 for drinks and entertainment. Thank you and until next January 😊
