The hotel resort is excellent. Everting was very carefully designed and perfect for family travelers. We spent two nights in a villa on a golf course, with beautiful view, garden and terrace, The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Silvia of the reception was very kind and helpful. She helped us find the perfect villa, and did all her best to make our stay easy.

Highly recommend. Flawless hotel, excellent service, super friendly staffs, amazing food quality. Every detail of our stay has been incredible. Also a special mention to the extremely helpful reception team. 2am room service is top notch, also one reception lady is so kind, she went above and beyond to help us to find a good Presunto, we will definitely come back because of the great service, which made our holiday stress free and enjoyable

WELL/Praca - Nice down here but expensive everywhere including the restaurants. VDL Residents get in free to pool(20 euro non resident)and get drinks discount but still 20 euro for a G&T & lager. Music, pool and sun loungers(if you can get one it’s busy and rarely any left) are good though. You can’t take any liquids in they will suck every last euro from you. All restaurants down here although expensive serve quality food. Accomodation- apartments are nice, spotless, really good, got everything you need in it. The reception staff are all so nice and can’t do enough for you, nothings a problem. Golf - book all 7 tee times for 7am but practice area doesn’t open till 7 so couldn’t have a warm up. Sometimes the cart guys and starters aren’t even in at this time which is annoying. The range is also limited to max 150 yards and closes at 5pm. Practice facilities let this place down. (Pro’s words also). Courses generally in good condition, the royal slightly better but a lot of ignorant players with thousands of unrepaired pitch marks which is a shame. Ocean front 9 a bit ropey condition wise. Both are a real test off white tees. Both have some superb holes of all different outlooks a real mixed bag, great. The grass is weird here and most tees are very spongy like moss which is different. Spikes restaurant - food and drink decent but expensive , service average, a bit slow but a nice venue. Nice setting looking into the practice putting green and 18th green. Resort shuttle - really good. Only one covering the whole resort, which is massive for the first few days so a bit slow but increased to 2 and so much better. The drivers are very polite and can’t do enough for you.
Lakeside Country Club - Apartamentos Turísticos

Lovely spacious and clean 2 bedroomed apartment with balcony overlooking the resort area. The air con was excellent, and the daily servicing of the apartment was appreciated! Reception staff on check-in and check-out were all very friendly and helpful! Also, very pet friendly... The indoor poor was excellent and very clean. The onsite restaurant served the inclusive breakfast and had outside seating which allowed us to sit with our dog. Lovely lady serving breakfasts.... The restaurant at night served a good choice menu in very pleasant surroundings, again with extremely helpful and friendly staff. Good onsite parking but some stairs to negotiate! The location is in the heart of the Quinta do Lago area and a car was essential; the longish walk to the beach and board walks was only by road, about 15 minutes to The Shack, but not that many bars and restaurants close by. There is a shopping mall and supermarket about 5 minutes drive.

I know reviews are subjective, but I’ll try and be as honest as I can. Sorry for the lengthy review. Pro’s On entry to our room we were given a complementary bottle of wine, mixed fruit and macaroons, which was a lovely addition for our anniversary stay, Hugely appreciated and unexpected thank you! A beautifully presented hotel with gorgeous grounds and an opulent feel. The “ front of house “ staff were very welcoming ( offering a glass of water and a custard tart on arrival ( intriguing) The room was well kept and spotlessly clean , not huge, but well proportioned with quality linen and soft furnishings.The staff,( specifically Diana in the buffet, the head concierge and the check in were excellent, but in general they were adequate and friendly, but some seemed either demotivated or disinterested ( perhaps training issues?? Who knows..? Cons The breakfast experience was disappointing, no “staffed” egg station but a tray of rather sad pre-fried eggs and a tray of boiled eggs. ( in fairness one could order other egg dishes from the table, it just didn’t make for a seamless breakfast, & the “hot food “ was never particularly warm?. But the most disappointing experience was the poolside etiquette ( or severe lack of it) Around 90% of beds were “towelled up “ by 8am with about half a dozen people in-situ ,by 9 they were all gone with about a dozen people actually using them ( what added to the embarrassing behaviour was that most of the clientele were British ( who usually complain about such crassness‍♂️‍♂️‍♂️. ) This HAS been mentioned in other posts. There IS a “ policy notice “ somewhere but it’s blatantly ignored and totally unenforced by the staff. It just creates anger , disappointment and frustration for anyone who wants to use one there and then, when “reserved ones “ are left unattended till often lunchtime and well beyond! IF you have a policy? Either endorse it? Or remove it! Please don’t get me wrong, there’s quite a few really really nice elements to the hotel BUT, for me, it’s a beautiful but Typical Hilton . No “frills” with the exception of some complimentary cold water by the pool 1st thing in the morning. Given the Conrad’s PRICE POINT and status the overall experience was a little underwhelming. We personally wouldn’t return here when looking for a 1st-class 5*. I would have GLADLY given this feedback directly to the hotel, but wasn’t asked at checkout anything about how our stay? Or if we enjoyed it?. Again there’s some REALLY GOOD elements to this hotel, but it’s let down by faults that are easily remedied.
Ria Park Hotel & Spa

Checked in to ria park as a last minute booking following a nightmare end of our holiday (in a local apartment) where my youngest son and I were unable to go home as planned with the rest of our family. We had stayed a night before we arrived at Ria park in another local 5 star hotel and had a terrible experience there. From the moment we walked in to the ria park we were made to feel so safe and welcome. The room we were given was perfect, we ordered room service and it was absolutely fantastic. The hotel is so clean. We received a lovely welcome tray with some treats for my son and fresh fruit and waters. The air con was perfect, great tea and coffee facilities. Maid service so efficient. We didn’t have a chance to use the pool but was clean and lovely, lots of loungers available. We were able to get a late check out which I was extremely grateful for after a difficult week and an evening flight. Breakfast was brilliant, lots of offer and we ate lunch at the pool bar. Brilliant selection, I was particularly impressed as I was able to get a vegetarian soja bolognaise. It’s in a great location for lovely restaurants and days out. I’m so pleased we stumbled across this hotel and will be booking to stay here next year. A special mention to Marta on reception. The was just the most kind and lovely person. So helpful. Thank you!
