We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The view of the waterfall from the room is absolutely breathtaking, and the room itself is large and very comfortable. What truly made our trip special was the staff’s kindness — he went out of his way to show us around the city, recommend great places to eat, take us for a walk, and even bring us to a show. Thank you so much for taking such good care of us. This place exceeded all our expectations and I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is highly recommended, close to Tianmen Mountain, and many food shops around the hotel, from the spacious room window you can see the view of Tianmen Mountain, and the hotel owner is very kind, he can explain and provide your travel itinerary while in Zhangjiajie, and help you to buy all kinds of tourist tickets in Zhangjiajie, thank you for the accommodation, if I go there I will stay there again....

We had such a wonderful stay here! From the moment we arrived, everything felt warm and welcoming—they even kindly picked us up from the train station, which made the journey so much easier. Tian was incredibly kind and helpful, especially when it came to organising our tickets to enter the village.
The hotel itself is perfectly located, just a short and pleasant walk from the Furongzhen scenic area. After a peaceful night’s sleep, we woke up to a delicious Chinese breakfast, which was a lovely way to immerse ourselves in the local culture.
It was a truly special experience for both me and my mum—we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend!

Amazing services. We got train station pick up service. We got breakfast. We can choose noodle or mantao and pao and egg. They allowed us to have late check out too. Perfect location in the heart of Fenghuang. Next time if i can visit then definitely will stay here again.

5月3號晚上入住的，管家升級了套房，屬實驚喜，民宿老闆很熱情，第二天還帶我們看了整棟別墅，每個房間都佈置的很舒適，管家小哥哥非常好，3號晚上主動提出幫我去高鐵站接孩兒爸，後來4號外出回來才知道山路有多黑，真的非常謝謝可愛的管家小哥哥。
民宿的生態環境很好，門口的一花一木和小菜園的各種蔬菜瓜果能證明經營者的非常用心，民宿現在還在提質改造升級中，小孩姐特別期待旁邊星空房的燒烤吧，整體入住下來非常舒服，值得二刷。

The owner was fully committed for us to have the best experience in Fenghuang city. We were contacted 2 days before our arrival for a pick-up from the railway station. Everything went so smoothly. I was speechless regarding the quality of the service. It was also relieving as I travelled with my parents who are not that young anymore. We had the same shuttle service for our way back to the station. The hôtel also helped us book a guided tour to visit the surrounding. We are not just receiving a room in this hotel. We received much more. We were really grateful for your kindness.

ВВиктория ;₽This was one of the most atmospheric places we stayed at during our trip to Zhangjiajie.
The hotel is located in a very scenic mountain area, away from the crowds, yet still conveniently close to Wulingyuan. Even the road there sets the mood, with beautiful green hills and rock formations all around.
The room is cozy with panoramic windows, and the view is simply incredible. Right from the room, you can see majestic mountains and cliffs. In foggy weather, everything looks especially magical - like being inside a traditional Chinese painting. It was such a pleasure to sit with a cup of tea and just enjoy the view.
The food definitely deserves a special mention - everything was fresh and very вкусно, with a good variety for breakfast and plenty of options to choose from. You can really tell the meals are prepared with care.
Another highlight is the animals: there are 6 cats and 3 dogs living on the property. They are very friendly and calm, adding a warm and homely touch to the stay.
The staff are very attentive and helpful, always doing their best to make the stay comfortable. Special thanks for helping us purchase tickets to the parks - it made everything much easier.
Overall, this is a perfect place for those who want to relax, enjoy nature, and spend time in a peaceful and beautiful environment. We would definitely love to come back!

🛏️ 1. Exactly as pictured & Great value for money
- The room is fantastic, very new, and spotlessly clean. I booked a room with a bathtub and got the 4th floor. It looked exactly like the photos. The price in late March was amazing—less than $30/night (getting a bathtub at this price is super worth it!). The furniture looks brand new.
- The bathroom is great, with clearly separated wet and dry zones. It has a smart toilet with a heated seat and auto-flush!
- Amenities are quite complete. However, the hotel provides disposable towels. If you have a larger build, they might not cover you completely (I'm petite, so it didn't bother me), but the material is highly absorbent.
- Good to know: the building has an elevator, but you do have to carry your luggage up a few steps to reach the entrance, so it's not 100% wheelchair accessible. But once inside, you can comfortably use the elevator without carrying your bags up to the higher floors.
📍 2. Quiet location but easy to get around
- The hotel is slightly tucked away from the busy, bright areas, making it very quiet and perfect for a good night's sleep.
- Getting to the park is super easy. You can catch a Didi to the East Gate, and it’s very cheap—only about $0.70 per ride.
- As for food, even though it's not right next to convenience stores or restaurants, you can easily order food delivery. If you want to eat out, you can take a Didi or walk to the restaurant area. It's not far, less than 1 kilometer away.
👩🏻💼 3. Friendly owner & Excellent service
- The owner manages the reception herself and is extremely hospitable. She gives great advice on exploring the park. Whether you plan a 1-day or 2-day itinerary, she can recommend the perfect walking route. I planned a 2-day trip, so she suggested entering via the East Gate on the first day and the South Gate on the second day.
- She is always in a good mood and genuinely seems to love her work. Her bright energy makes talking to her an absolute joy 🤣 I was so impressed!
- Her English is okay for basic communication, but for convenience and speed, we used WeChat. The translation feature made it smooth, and we understood each other perfectly.
🎟️ 4. Better ticket discounts through the hotel
- I highly recommend this! If you need tickets, let the hotel book them for you—the prices are actually better than booking through popular travel apps.
- Whether it's the national park ticket (she also helps book your entry time slot for every day you plan to visit—though if you want to change the time, you need to ask her to update it for you), Baofeng Lake, or the Grand Canyon Glass Bridge, she can get them at a cheaper price.
- Another perk is the unpredictable weather in Zhangjiajie. Letting her book day-by-day or close to the date means you don't have to risk booking too far in advance. I changed my plan easily because of fog and rain, and it was completely stress-free.
🚑 5. A personal note of gratitude (why I'm writing this review so long)
Late at night on March 25th, I had a medical emergency. I reached out to the owner, and she was incredibly helpful. She actually left the hotel counter to take me to the hospital and helped sort everything out 😭🙏 (I truly apologize to the other guests staying that night!). I was so touched and grateful, and didn't know how else to repay her, so I wanted to write this review to pass on the good word.
Summary: This stay was super comfortable and truly heartwarming. Not only because of how much she helped me, but the rooms and facilities are genuinely excellent. If you're looking for a place to stay, please keep this hotel in mind! ❤️

GGuest UserHost is a super nice guy and very helpful. He helps you book your tickets as well as with communication and he has many good tips for you. Usually people hang downstairs, there are also three cute cats. Usually people order food and have dinner together. You will easily meet fellow travelers here. The place is otherwise very basic and could need repairs and more frequent cleanups. But that is not the focus here. The hostel is also close to the starting point to Tianmen mountain.
PS: The package for the avatar mountains has hiked to 450 RMB including cablecars and elevator (you can use the ticket on 4 consecutive days). 12 RMB to take the bus to its south gate. You need two days to finish the avatar mountains. Then one more day for Tianmen mountain. Another day for the canyon, if you want.

Jjing9020We traveled in the off-season in March. The owner kindly upgraded our room because other rooms had central air conditioning, while ours had an independent unit, making it warmer, and it also offered a mountain view. Although the facilities showed some age, the room was very comfortable! Outside the window was an incredibly beautiful natural landscape, with a few chickens running around – very rustic and authentic. Our trip to the Zhangjiajie scenic area was good, but the accommodation was definitely the highlight. The only minor inconveniences were the bathroom lacking a door and some of the light switch sockets not working, but these didn't bother us much. During our entire trip, staying in Furong Town and Changsha, we either got ripped off or encountered incredibly cold and unhelpful hosts. This experience, in contrast, was a breath of fresh air. The owner was very warm and genuine, going above and beyond to ensure our comfortable stay. Liu Jie picked us up from the high-speed rail station and later dropped us off at the airport, chatting with us all the way. He was very down-to-earth and did his best to help us with any issues, arranging bookings and tickets for us. Tan Fang and other staff members also helped us book tickets, recommended itineraries, arranged meals and snacks, and offered all sorts of advice. We originally planned to stay only two nights for peace and quiet but ended up extending for another night. We were so happy to have met them; this was truly not your average guesthouse!

GGuest UserThe Zuixiangxi Grand Hotel truly lives up to its name, both in terms of being 'the best' and 'grand.' It's conveniently located right next to the main scenic area, offering direct views of the most beautiful sights. The hotel itself is quite large, as is its parking lot, which even has charging stations. Right in front of the hotel, there's a big landscaped square. Despite its proximity to the core scenic spots, it's very quiet. The rooms are spacious and clean, offering excellent value for money. The restaurant is also very large, allowing you to enjoy delicious meals without even leaving the hotel, and the breakfast spread is extensive. The front desk staff are incredibly welcoming, providing gifts upon arrival and departure. Ctrip customers even have a dedicated reception floor! There are also amenities like a supermarket and opportunities for ethnic costume photography. If you're looking to meet international guests, this hotel sees a lot of them. It really feels like there's nothing guests can't imagine that the hotel can't provide. It's perfectly suited for self-driving travelers who want to avoid unnecessary expenses.

The soundproofing could be better, and the 'stargazing room' effect wasn't great, though most people probably aren't booking it for that. Overall, it's pretty good, and it's not far from the East Gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.

We stayed for two nights at the Suxin Tianmen Yinlu Hotel and were pleasantly surprised by its comfort, location, and service. It’s an excellent choice for travellers planning to explore Tianmen Mountain and the surrounding area.
Location: 8.5/10. The hotel is conveniently located just a 15 minute walk from the entrance to Tianmen Mountain National Park and the Tianmen Cableway station. This made it easy for us to start our day early and avoid the busiest crowds.
The hotel is a bit old, but it’s well maintained and clean. Our room was quiet and comfortable, with everything we needed for a good rest after long days of exploring.
The staff were incredibly nice and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. They gave us useful tips on the best routes and timing for Tianmen Mountain, helping us avoid long queues. A special mention goes to the breakfast they prepared for us. Despite the hotel not having a formal restaurant, the staff took care to arrange a hearty and delicious breakfast each morning. It included local specialties and some Western options — exactly what we needed to fuel up for a day of hiking.
Value for money: 9/10. For a 2‑night stay, the price felt very fair. You get a clean, comfortable room in a strategic location with exceptionally kind and helpful staff — exactly what you need when exploring Tianmen Mountain.
Minor notes: the hotel’s design is a bit dated, but this didn’t affect our comfort in any way. The focus here is clearly on practicality and hospitality rather than modern aesthetics.
I would definitely recommend the Suxin Tianmen Yinlu Hotel to anyone visiting Tianmen Mountain for 1–3 nights. It’s not a luxury resort, but its convenient location, clean rooms, and wonderful staff make it a practical and welcoming choice.

Its location was fantastic, just about a 5-minute walk to both the bus station and the park entrance. The owner even thoughtfully provided a hand-drawn map and explained route planning, which was incredibly helpful for first-time visitors to Zhangjiajie. Plus, they offer unlimited bottled water to take with you when hiking – truly a great and honest guesthouse!
