Very nice, clean, and safe environment. Healthy and delicious food.

The location is pretty good, near lots if restaurants and metro station. Easy to get the cabs. Walking distance to the opera house and city center. The room is big and the bathroom is clean. The only weak point us the air condition which is too old to cool down.

Hotel is conveniently located and there is a 24-hour bar which is good to have business discussions within the hotel at any time of the day. 

Great location in central Almaty but not a true 5 star hotel in my opinion. Overall old and the pictures don't really show the details of the wear and tear. The tap ran dirty brown water for a good 5 minutes, which stained one of the towels. When I checked out, the walkie talkie went off, apparently the cleaner had already inspected my room within the 2 minutes between when I left the room and when I reached the front desk, and the front desk did not hesitate to ask to charge me. Initially, I wasn't going to complain about the water as I believed they were just cleaning their water tanks. Thankfully, I took a video of the dirty tap water and showed them; they waived the charge. But it's the way they immediately rushed to find potential evidence of my misuse of the room and the mannerism when they asked to charge me that was really off-putting. Not great customer service.

Helpful reception staff, the rest is very poor. problems with water, not working AC (awful experience in July, trust me), huge stairs at the main entrance (cannot bring the suitcase without help, but there is nobody there from the hotel staff!), broken furniture and even front door of the room, old (and not clean) bed linen, leaking shower cabin. cannot recommend

This is the second hotel I stayed at in Almaty. It's definitely an old-money style hotel. The hotel is located near the Koktobe cable car, which is convenient for getting around. The breakfast selection is not extensive, but it's still quite nice. The past two days have been sunny in Almaty. It's a great start to the new year!

I was a little skeptical at first, thinking it would be old. In the end, I booked it because of the location. Overall, I am satisfied. Generally, airline crews will choose hotels for their stay, so they won't be too bad. It's not far from the cable car station, about a 20-minute walk. It's also not far from the Cathedral, a 15-18-minute walk. I am a bit picky. The facilities are acceptable and clean. The room is quite satisfactory. The breakfast buffet is average.

The room is not big, which is the common situation of most hotels in Almaty. But the room facilities are good. It is not as shabby as many hotels, but magnificent. There is a large community in front of the hotel with very good greenery. You can take a walk in the evening.

The location is very good, in a quiet place in the city center. Just over 1 km walk to the north is the Ascension Cathedral and 28 Warriors Park, about 1 km walk to the west and south is the Central Museum, and less than 1 km walk to the east and south is the Peak Tram Station. The room is also very good. Although it is old, the equipment is well maintained. The wash basin, shower head, and toilet are all very useful and do not look dilapidated. I like their swimming pool and gym the most. The pool water is clear and the fitness equipment is very good.

Best hotel to stay in Almaty. Reasonable price for 5 stars with a variety of breakfast. Spa facilities were great - the hotel pool, sauna and jacuzzi were amazing!

Super comfortable hotel, quiet and elegant environment, delicious breakfast, once only for receiving foreign ministers, now open to the public, super location, convenient to go anywhere.
