Hotel berhampiran Poorter, Amsterdam

It's a small hotel with small rooms, which is something to be expected in Amsterdam in the lower price range. The bathroom sink was located outside the bathroom which was odd, and the bathroom door is a wobbly shower door. It didn't really bother me though. I was happy to find a reasonsbly priced room inside the city. The hotel is located in the city, in a calmer area, which is nice. 5 min walk and you're in the vibrant busy streets chock-full of restaurants, shops and people hanging around. 15 minutes walk and you're basically in the very center of the city. There's also a Lidl right outside the door in case you don't want to eat every meal at a restaurant. The bed is rather hard, which I find comfy, with great pillows, and the room features an old style tired hair dries, which I appreciate. Modern one would be better, but at least it's there. On the negative side, I'd say there was no fridge, so we couldn't store food, except dry food, which takes away some of the convenience with the close by lidl. There was a lack of clothes storage. Only a couple of hangers and some hooks. The light switches were sort of randomly mapped and the lights didn't have the most welcoming hue. Also if I'd visit the bathroom in the night and turn on the light it would also turn on the blinding cold hallway light waking up anybody sleeping. Lastly, I don't care for AC, but a fan would have been nice in the heat. At least there was a large window that I could use to ventilate and curtains that completely blocked all light hitting them. All in all, a decent stay on a hotel in a great area. Some rough edges, so if you don't like that maybe it's not for you. But if you're mainly gonna be out exploring the city I'd say it doesn't really matter. Right, one last thing. The hotel must be used to annoying tourists because here and there are signs thay forbid alcohol and smoking in the rooms. Aledgedly a 300€ fine is given to the person drinking in the room. It doesn't give the most welcome feeling. However the staff were nice.

We had a fantastic stay at Atlantis Hotel in Amsterdam. The staff were fantastic and very helpful at all opportunities. The location was very nice, in the heart of the vibrant area of De Pijp. Plenty to do and see locally when walking to the centre. Hotel also right beside the tram stop which brings you to the centre in 5-10 minutes. The only setback of our stay was the cleanliness. A coffee was spilt on the first night of arrival leaving a stain on the bottom of one of the bed sheets. It appeared the sheet had been replaced but rather than replacing the sheet it had simply been flipped over. Although our room was relatively clean, the hotel was undergoing renovation at the time.

I enjoyed staying here very much, really nice hotel in a peaceful elegant area with amazing architecture, yet not in the very center. Amenities are very clean, beds are excellent and comfortable, personnel is friendly and helpful.

The reception staff were lovely! Very helpful! Chap on the bar was very… cool in the way of his customer service… there wasn’t much of it! The hotel was great for the metro 54 which gets you into Amsterdam centraal, but also just a stop or two away from the Auschwitz memorial, zoo and Nemo science museum. The hotel itself is trying a bit too hard to be a hipster hotel/hostel - it was good but I don’t think we’d stay again.

Llegue el 5 de julio de 2022 con mis tres hijos y mi mujer,cuando vimos el hotel nos dijeron que tenia parking,al final el coche se lo llevo la grua ya que el parking era el garage del vecino,nos dijeron que metiesemos el coche ahi y al dia siguiente cuando lo quisimos sacar ya no estaba,UNA AUTENTICA VERGUENZA¡¡¡Esto paso cuando llegamos que eran las 7 de la tarde,cuando entramos a recepcion vimos a varias palomas en el mostrador,nos quedamos aturdidos,cuano nos encontramos al recepcionista de casualidad en el garage nos dijo que estaba atendiendo unas llamadas pero mi hijo de 10 años le vio con una bolsa que holia fatal, a saber que habia ahi dentro,cuando hicimos el pago el recepcionista se estaba intentando ligar a mi mujer,yo desde el primer momento lo vi y no le di importancia,cuando subimos a nuestar habitacion familiar nos encontramos a un gato lleno de caca,cuando entramos a la habitacion,dimos por hecho que se habia colado por la terraza pero le preguntamos al de recepcion y nos dijo que era el gato tomy que solia pase**** por el hotel,en la habitacion pedimo una cama de matrimonio y tres camas supletorias y lo que nos encontramos fue una cama enana que se suponia que era la del matrimonio y tres alfombtras alcochadas en el suelo,FUE UN DESASTRE,uno de mis hijos cuando llego la noche se le desvio la columna vertebral por que la alfombra se desinflo,a las tres de la mañana veo a el gato en la alfombra de mi hijo pequeño, cuando le intento hechar me araña, a todo esto yo no veia a mi mujer en la cama asi que supuse que estaria en el baño y ahi fue cuando derrepente abro la puerta del baño y me encuentro a mi mujer con el recepcionista en la ducha dandole tran duro que casi me da un infarto,Despues de todo heche a mi mujer y mi hijo mayor y mediano se escaparon del hotel debido al olor a lemur que habia ahi,Este hotel me ha destrozado mi familia y mi vida,SI ecuchais algo de este hotel.HUIR ES LO PERO QUE LE PUEDE PASAR A UN SER HUMANO.

The Flipper hotel was an ideal location however closer would have saved a tram trip to Downtown Amsterdam. The professionalism competency of all staff was exceptional. The cleanliness was above standard and a big priority for me regarding my stay. The cost was good considering the global cost of living crisis. I would highly recommend Hotel Flipper to any friends, family in Ireland. Much gratitude

We arrived early (about 11.30am) to leave our bags but we were kindly offered a room that was available straight away which was very kind. Our room was clean and spacious. Nice clean linen and comfy beds with a nice view of the Main Street. Air con/heating worked well. No street noise at night that I noticed although we were on the 4th floor. All staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly. Lovely free coffee in reception area. Great budget hotel in an excellent location. Will definitely stay here again

The location was great very central , wasn't impressed with washing facilities en suite had no body soap filled up was empty after a long trip to get there shower head had to be used holding it as it didn't fit on the wall no bin in the room either disapointing for the price

Staff is super friendly. Every time when we went down to lobby, they would ask if we need any drinks. We got tea, coffee, orange juice, and sometimes croissant and fruit for free. The room we stayed was quite small. There are nearby tram stops but you need to walk at least one block. Overall it was a nice stay. We often visited the park nearby and enjoyed the nice neighborhood.

I love everything about this hotel. It's affordable and has every basic amenitie you need when you travel overseas. The only down part is you have to pay to get an adaptor. So pls remember to bring your international travel adaptor if you don’t want to end up paying €15 . If you love walking and travel like local . This hotel has a good location . It’s about 30min walks to Van Gogh museum . I will definitely staying at this hotel again when I visit the Amsterdam
