Set right next to the best part of the city, Leidseplein which is very well connected to all the notable landmarks including walkable distance to both the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museum as well as the famous Voldelpark. The hotel has very modern interiors and all the facilities to make ones stay comfortable. The room and bathroom were very clean and spacious unlike the other European hotels. The hotel staff were courteous and helpful. There are 100's of restaurants serving all types of food and all are within walking distance from the hotel. Getting to Dam Square which is the shopping hub and Amsterdam Central station is just a single tram ride. Overall, the hotel is very clean and comfortable and nothing can beat the convenient location of this hotel.

After our Viking Rhine Cruise ended in Amsterdam, we planned to stay the night to check out the city. This hotel had the right combination of price, location, and amenities. We chose one of the 2nd floor suits which included a balcony for smoking. The room was located above the side street which was lined with sycamore trees so the balcony was screened by the branches—it was lovely. Noise level was not bad since this was not the tourist sector but it was still the city so it wasn’t quiet or dark. The room was spacious especially the bathroom. From the hotel we walked to the old city and passed several canals along the way. We didn’t wind up eating at the hotel but we did order from the bar and the bartender was friendly. The staff was friendly and called a cab for us in the morning to get to the airport. Would stay here again.

We picked this hotel because it’s away from the crowds of the city. Very peaceful and had no complaints. We walked to the tram to go into the city. A taxi is good if not wanting to walk 15 minutes to the tram. We walked to the museums nearby. It’s about !5 minutes. The room was nice with an upgrade to canal view. Staff were all friendly and even gave us a glimpse into the John Lennon suite. Breakfast was good with lots to choose from. Special thanks to our waiter Beau! He was so helpful and sweet! We also enjoyed the executive lounge each evening. There also are chairs and tables outside right by the canal with swans cruising by. We were there every evening relaxing after a busy day in town. Ask for a fan or windows opened because a/c is sometimes not cool enough.

Hotel 717 lives up to its buzz and in fact, exceeded our expectations. From start to finish our stay was delightful. We were greeted warmly at the front doorstep and treated to a welcome cocktail after checking in. The property is beautiful! Expertly curated with whimsical, decorative details throughout. Our room was spacious, and the bed + bedding were sublime. Staff was exceptionally kind, with extra special praise earned by Camilla and Wolf who went above and beyond for us! It was quite difficult to leave Hotel 717, although the send-off tin of cookies eased our sadness and heightened our hopes to return asap. Thank you, Hotel 717! We are grateful for you all!

We decided to splurge on this 5 star hotel for a long anticipated family reunion. Unfortunately the experience was marred by a series of disappointments caused by utterly incompetent hotel staff. When I called ahead on the day of our arrival to request an early check-in the hotel rep. sternly informed me that I would have to pay a 120 Euro charge for the privilege! We are experienced travelers and never have we encountered such a demand. We took our chances regardless and decided to show up 2 hours early. Sure enough, our room was already ready and we were allowed to occupy it at no extra charge. Things really started to go south when a limousine that I had arranged for separate airport pickup of my daughter’s family through the concierge showed up at the airport unequipped with a baby car seat. I had expressly requested this when I booked the service. This was also specified in the booking confirmation sent by email to me by the concierge. The reaction I later got when I complained to the concierge was that I was not charged extra for the baby seat - as if this was the main issue! Furthermore, this was the first time that I was informed of such a charge, as no mention of this had been made in the email confirmation of the limo reservation which I originally received from the concierge. More importantly, what is more concerning is the utter indifference he showed for the safety of a guest’s infant grandchild. All that concerned him was the money angle to the failure. Things soon got worse. When we checked into our room we lifted the bed cover to discover several hairs and multiple red and yellow stains. Unbelievably, the chambermaid had neglected to change the bedsheets. This, in a 5 star hotel! After we called reception, staff was quickly sent to our room to change them. We never heard further from management about this. We later had dinner at Serre restaurant onsite and left the place hungry. The chef seems to focus on presentation and less on the reasonableness of the portions. My wife had a fish main course which was equivalent to 3 forkfuls. The minuscule dessert was pretty to look at but was grossly inadequate even for one person. The restaurant style is a throwback to the old Nouvelle Cuisine school. For the icing on the cake: a voucher for a round of drinks on the house at the rooftop bar that the guest services manager had kindly given me was bungled by the bar staff. When I arrived home I discovered a mysterious charge of 66 Euros by the Twenty-Third Floor Bar. The bar staff set new standards of incompetence in taking my voucher and charging me anyway.I had to call the hotel for credit but I am losing money anyway from the spread in exchange rates used by credit card companies. To be fair, the Superior View room was extremely spacious and comfortable with a magnificent view. The large pool and ample spa facilities were enjoyable and a significant convenience . We stayed here during kingdays, it a very nice location. It's in near of every shop, restaurants club and etc. Very clean hotel. Came across with Housekeeping supervisor Cristina very friendly staff which we request extra towels and coffe and she delivered so fast. Breakfast was also okay. Downside about it that there no airco in the hotel so it can get hotel. But you can open the window which okay.. other than that I would recommend and definitely coming back.

Hotel location was good as it is in the central area to almost all activities that we went. But however, hotel room service did not help us to empty our toilet trash bin every single day despite that we gave tips everyday, so I'm not sure how clean exactly is their room service. Bring extra cash for hotel tax and deposits as we were only told on the 1st night of checking in when the recept call up to our room to ask us to go to the reception to pay for our hotel tax and deposit, where only the deposits will be refunded upon checking out if you did not consume their in-room beverages or destroy their hotel etc. Hotel location is very near to 2 super mart, and also the ******** coffee shop, cafe and restaurants, not very convenient for kids as every where smells of ********. Breakfast was super good spread, large varieties, we love it.

My partner and I stayed at INK hotel in Amsterdam in early July and to say that our stay was wonderful would be an enormous understatement! Not only is the hotel itself incredibly unique, creative and beautiful, the staff is unparalleled! Upon entering, we were greeted by Rob and Valerie who were both so welcoming, warm, informative and personable. It was my partner’s birthday during our stay and it was my desire to make it as special as possible. This was a daunting task as I am not familiar with Amsterdam nor do I speak Dutch. Thanks to Rob and Val, his birthday was a huge success! Val assisted me with the train routes, times and directions and both she and Rob provided me with creative ideas. Rob then made phone calls for me to inquire about reservations and tickets as I was having difficulty navigating websites written in Dutch. After a perfect day, we walked into a fabulously decorated hotel room with balloons, chocolate hearts, champagne, etc. It was absolutely amazing!! We have traveled around the globe, stayed in hundreds of hotels and never have we experienced such exceptional treatment by hotel staff!! We will definitely make sure to stay at INK on our next visit to Amsterdam and will recommend that all of our friends and family do as well. Thank you INK hotel for providing such excellence!!

This hotel had so much going for it. In a great area for visiting the museums, on a quiet residential street, friendly and helpful staff on reception. However, it was badly let down by the cleaniness - litter on floor in reception was an indicator of worse to come. The first room had dirty bedlinen. We were moved to a second, which did have clean sheets, but the toilet was filthy. We were only there for one night - I wouldn't have stayed two. We had a late flight so asked reception if we could leave our bags while visiting the museums. We were given a keycard to a shared room with lots of bags - not secure at all, anyone could have helped themselves to anything. Reception assured us it was 'secure' as they only gave the key to their many guests. They could easily have issued baggage tickets, and accompanied customers to deposit and collect bags, but they didn't, anyone could have walked out with anyone else's belongings. Come on XO - sort the cleaning and security and this could be such a great hotel. However, we won't be back. There were flyers in reception for lots of family attractions - and porn. Not ideal in a leaflet stand at child height.

The room was spacious for such a central location, with a nice view from the high-up window. The room got pretty warm day and night, but the air con helped a little bit. If you go in summer, it would be worth bringing or buying a mini fan if you can.

First impressions not good. Guy on reception was very rude to us on check in and almost made my girlfriend cry. Tired from travelling and not knowing the exact thing to ask for at the desk when we checked in resulted in shocking service. The room however was very nice spacious and clean. Bed was big and clean but pillows left a lot to be desired. Shower was nice but no shampoo only soap. All linen was nice and clean. Location was amazing probably the best part of the hotel

We had a really lovely experience at de bedstee which exceeded our expectations. The capsule was much more spacious than we expected (I’m around 5 ft 5 and could kneel) and the air conditioning kept it nice and cool. The double bed was very comfortable with multiple plug sockets and adjustable LED lights and there was enough space on a shelving unit to keep your bags and shoes in - the capsule is obviously lockable so keeps your belongings safe. The wifi was excellent. Also came with dressing gowns and towels for the communal bathrooms. The bathroom was very clean and well equipped with soap, shower gel shampoo and hairdryers. We had a stressful journey with our flight being cancelled and then rebooked with multiple delays, and the staff were very accommodating to this and let us check in very late at night with no additional cost. The only thing is that we were on the top ‘bunk’ which made it a little tricky to climb up the ladder into the capsule but this was not a deal breaker. Location was good, 20-30 min walk into the centre of amsterdam. Would definitely stay here again!!

This is a fantastic hotel. My sister & I stayed for 3 nights and loved it. It’s located in a beautiful and very safe part of the city, very close to the concert hall & the museums. The beds are so comfortable and they refill the water in your room every day. It’s a very easy journey into the city centre on the 12 or 2 tram. There are lots of great places to eat within minutes walk from the hotel and the lovely lady gave us a list of nearby restaurants on our arrival. The hotel is very quiet, we didn’t hear any noise any of the nights. There is a lovely sitting room with an honesty bar that has a good selection of drinks. It was lovely to sit off here and relax either before or after dinner. Great shower in the bathroom too. Staff were so friendly & accommodating, they even got a hot water bottle for me one of the nights when I wasn’t feeling well. Will definitely be back, loved it.

Nel complesso l hotel ci è piaciuto molto. Siamo stati solo una notte.Esteticamente si presenta benissimo.Fuori sembra ordinario ma dentro è veramente una chicca. Tutto richiama molto l arte moderna. A noi ci è capitata una stanza al seminterrato ma comunque aveva una finestra alta che illuminava benissimo l interno. Stanza calda e confortevole. Le dimensioni erano piu che sufficienti. Hai a disposizione un bollitore e la macchinetta del caffè in camera e questo a noi piace sempre perché è un servizio che apprezziamo soprattutto dopo le lunghe passeggiate. L’unico difetto che non so dire se sia dovuto al fatto che eravamo al -1 è che a un certo punto della notte il bagno puzzava in maniera anche importante di fogna. La mattina poi svanisce gradualmente anche perché il giorno non abbiamo sentito nulla al nostro arrivo. La posizione non è proprio in centro anche se con una passeggiata di 30min a piedi ci arrivi altrimenti hai il tram che è veloce. Per noi è stato comunque un buon punto.
