Hotel berhampiran Federal Building, Anchorage

DO NOT stay at this hotel unless you get an iron clad guarantee that you will not have organised ‘teens on tour’ that are marauding, loud, noisy and partying to the early hours of the morning. The teens are large groups (40-50) staying at the Midtown Springhill Suites Marriott as part of adventure tours. No change since last summer - see Tripadvisor comment from 2022. It was the worse hotel experience of our six week stay in Alaska however the housekeeping of the rooms was exceptionally clean and Dallas the groundsman and housekeepers were very professional, friendly and polite to us. This is a much lower quality clientele and service (except for the great quality rooms beds and housekeeping) compared to the Marriott’s in Australia. Google Westcoastconnection and Reinteentours and look at their Alaska Hawaii tours for a month at $12,000 USD for privileged teens who are touring and staying at hotels such as the Hilton, Hyatt Regency, Marriott also the Bluffs and Grande Denali etc. We stayed a total of five nights broken over a two week period as we were booked in by an American company for independent travel - Vacations by Rail with additional nights I added as we toured from here to Denali and Seward. I complained about the noise the first time, second time was a quieter area of the hotel but then they mustn’t have made a note on my third booking even though I told reception all my dates. The last occasion was so truly horrible with virtually no sleep and feeling completely bullied and unsafe by the Westcoast Connection ‘chaperones’ and their testosterone group of boy teens (also had girls too) who were much taller and larger than I. The boys even bullied and called me names at the airport when they spotted me as they were ending their tour because I had dared to ask them to disperse from the hallway at around 11pm as they were two steps away from my room and talking loudly and I couldn’t sleep. They put us in an interconnecting room (door locked) and we could hear the yelling, loud music, thumping of bags onto the floor on both sides and above and across the hall from these teens. Then later I tried reception on the phone but there was no answer. at around 11.30pm so I went down to reception. Reception said that they had sent ‘security’ (not sure what this actually entailed) to go to the floor previously. I saw the chaperones in the foyer putting on facial moisturiser masks and I asked them why they weren’t supervising. I then again came down to reception close to 1am to again ask if there was anything they could do and again similar response. I again spotted the chaperones in the foyer if they could talk to the boy teens and one flat out lied and she said that they were in their beds asleep and security had been up on that floor. I said that this is not the case. One male chaperone kindly went up with me and stood for about three seconds outside the room and of course heard them and went in. Manager moved us the next morning. My wife and I, plus our daughter, SIL, and 3 gkids stayed at the RI Anchorage Friday-Sunday June 22-24. The RI staff, especially their kitchen staff--Carol and Shey!!!--deserve a great shout-out for how accomodating they were. We are a Kosher, Shabbat-observant family, and they opened doors when we needed them, checked kitchen items for certification, and all in all were just the most helpful and caring hotel staff we have ever encountered. Give them your serious consideration if you are going to be in Anchorage!!

As this often goes, these things never come alone. For our last night of our 10 day stay in Alaska, I wanted something nice, something more special. Comparing the prices to others, I felt that usd 435 for one night in a Hilton would give us that nice place. I had asked for a late checkout (confirmation received via email) and during checkin the lady said ”we have a problem”. Basically I needed to book another night in the hotel if I wanted to check out at 6pm. No go ofcourse. The hotel was not clean, smelled muffy, room and shower also not clean. The gym access did not work with the room key, pool closed in all a 2-3star experience for a 5 star price. And ofcourse the unfriendly staff on top of this. Certainly never stay with Hilton again.

공항 셔틀 버스가 있다고 명시 되어 있어서 예약을 했지만 공항 셔틀이 없었습니다. 결국 리프트를 불러 이동했습니다. 참고 하시길 바랍니다. 조식 포함 가격이었으나 조식은 매우 간단하게 제공되는 수준이라 크게 메리트를 느끼지 못했습니다. 오히려 공항과 매우 가깝고(차로 10분) 주변에 아주 맛있는 베트남 식당이 있다는 것이 이점입니다. 가격 대비 만족도가 낮아 추천은 어렵습니다.

Fairfield was nice and fairly accommodating. We checked in and made arrangements for the shuttle to the train station two days later only to find out later that the staff had misinformed us as to the process. The evening before we were to leave on the train the staff said we were not properly registered for the shuttle, but they ”did us a favor” by making an exception. our toilet stopped up the first morning and they sent a repairman immediately to fix it. Breakfast was pretty good with hot eggs, bacon, waffles, and the usually cereal, etc. The room was very full (we had a groups of 4 and there were not enough seats) but very clean. A young man stood by the door to the kitchen to make sure everything was replenished, and he helped me get some bagels together for the next morning when we were leaving early. They also made a to-go breakfast for us for the morning we left since the dining room would not be open. Fairly close to the airport and not far from the Walmart in case you need anything.

Well my stay was great and the room was clean granted refrigerators really tiny and there's no microwave you have to actually ask for microwave and they don't tell you about it when you check in and they said that my room was close to the elevator and it's actually 64 rooms away from the elevator that was kind of tough trying to get maintenance up here to fix the lock on my door was a hassle it took 3 days I ended up being locked out of my room because the battery died I need a batteries in the TV remote at 23 days I ended up having to go buy my own because nobody ever showed up otherwise my stay was great thank you though they don't provide breakfast you have to actually pay for it and it's super expensive

Saya biasanya tinggal dengan tenang, menyeronokkan ketika saya tinggal di sini, tetapi kali ini tidak begitu damai. Terdapat pesta ulang tahun kanak-kanak atau sesuatu yang berlaku di mana terdapat banyak anak-anak yang suka bertengkar berlari naik dan turun di lorong, membuat semua kebisingan ini sepanjang saya tinggal. Tidak menyeronokkan sama sekali.
