Hotel Positives + Location – the hotel is on the “border” between the small commercial district and the old medieval town. Annecy is a small town anyway, but this hotel is perfectly centrally located for easy walking access to absolutely everything. The front door faces the commercial area; turn right from the entrance and you are in the pedestrian cobblestoned zone. Turn right again immediately and go up a few stone steps; you are on the north side of the hotel in a small park behind a cathedral. Straight ahead is the canal and impeccably beautiful paved and wooden bridge walkway, another cathedral, and the arched stone entryways into the old town. Annecy is an absolutely wonderful, magical, beautiful town and lake. Hotels are hard to find; this hotel is relatively affordable and it’s greatest asset is its location. + Parking – the hotel has a gated parking lot + Breakfast – small buffet; can eat on outdoor shaded balcony with pleasant park & town views. Negatives -rooms are old, worn, and in extreme need of renovation. Room Negatives -very disappointing; this suite is the “best” room in the hotel. It is old and worn; the walls and furniture have scratches, patches, and stains. The entry hallway is totally wasted space; we put a suitcase there. The suite has a bathroom, bedroom, living/dining, and small wall kitchenette. Furniture was old, worn, and mismatched. Linens are tired, worn, and old. Mattress is flat and old. Bathroom is old; fixtures are old; no counter or storage space; dim lighting. Room felt unclean and worn. Kitchenette was helpful for the extra sink and small frig. Best part of room is the balcony with a view of town.

Perfect location for walking around and public transport. Room was very nice. Staff were friendly.

Happy to have chosen this hotel for a short stay in Annecy. Easy booking and communicating with the hotel from the beginning! The Good: - very friendly and approachable staffs. easy breezy check in/out - top central location near old town, close to cafes, restaurants, shops and the lake! - great deco at the lobby, modern and filled with fun activities - parking garage right next to it - room with balcony and riverside view, also come with kettle. Nice air-conditioned. - reasonably priced Less Good: - extremely old parking garage - filthy dirty, small tight spaces, can be pricey for long hours parking - room and upper floors are very dated, old furnishing, quite basic. Not the same as the standard modern Ibis style - small, old and not-smart tv (not big issue but again it makes the room sad) Overall good for short stay but can be better for sure to suit the modern Ibis image!

I really enjoyed the very friendly staff and being warmly welcomed. It was so refreshing to see happy faces! The room was cleaned every morning, I loved that. The breakfast was tasty with local savoie items. The location couldn’t have been more perfect either. I was shocked to see it was right next to the train station and a couple minutes walk from town. The only thing I would change about this location was the small rooms upstairs and the limited amount of products in the room. We got the 4th floor room, which had a slanted roof. I was fine standing in it, but my husband could only stand in half the room because he was so tall. As far as the products, it would have been nice to have a couple tea bags or cups to go with the tea kettle. Maybe even shampoo or tissues too. Other than that, everything was great! I would definitely book with them again. Very happy with my stay.

The hotel is located next to the train and bus station which is very convenient. Despite the flaw about the hygiene and cleanliness of the toilet and bathroom, we had a wonderful suite room with balcony and full kitchen supply. The staffs were very helpful and cheerful. Highly recommend

Very friendly staff at front desk and at breakfast time. The hotel is very clean, rooms are clean and very nice, and breakfast buffet was very yummy. The location is convenient and a short walk from the Old town. Some things to be aware of: Be careful of the room that you may be given if it is on a lower floor and right over the railway under the hotel. When I first checked in, I was given one of these rooms (might have been 306?), However, before even setting my luggage down, the train rolled through and shook the whole room. I asked the very friendly front desk person (Lucile) if there was another room and she accommodated, by switching me to a room at the end of the hotel. The room was quiet, and was a very nice room. Next, be aware that if you are driving to the hotel for the 1st time, there is no temporary parking area in front of the main entrance, for unloading and check in, as you find at 99 percent of all hotels. You must drive down into the underground garage, go up to the card swipe station, press the intercom button, and they will let you into the garage. Lastly, the parking garage was a bit tight to navigate. My coworker actually scrapped the side of her rental car the first time she pulled in. There is a fee for the hotel parking. An alternative parking is available right next to the garage doors, on the right, which is for the train station. Another coworker of mine used this parking and it is easier to navigate.

En week-end prolongé à Annecy, nous avons séjourné dans la chambre 501. Très belle chambre spacieuse, décoration soignée. Les parties communes et notamment la salle des petits déjeuners sont très agréables. Personnel sympathique. L’hôtel est également très bien situé à proximité de la gare et de la vieille ville. This is a really nice 3* hotel with very pleasant staff who made us feel really welcome. It's situalted very close to the lake and the Imperial Hotel. It's probably about a km walk from the old town. I would recommend hiring a bike to anyone staying around the lake as its the easiest way to get around and very pleasant on warm days. The room was a good size, had a lovely bathroom and the double bed was at least a kingsize. The largest bed I've ever slept in at a hotel! The mattress was very comfortable. The pillows were a bit average in comparison. There was no fridge in the room, maybe you have to request that separately. My only criticism is that the room pretty much constantly smelled of smoke. I suspect the aircon meant people in smoking rooms were perhaps getting smoke circulated around. As a result we had to leave our window open the whole time. It's a shame because otherwise it is really a great place to stay.

Un petit bémol sur la propreté. Quelques tâches de café sur tables chevets et surtout surprise que les employés passent une éponge sur les tables au petit déjeuner mais ne ramasse pas les miettes. Elles vont par terre 🤔
