Hotel Positives + Location – the hotel is on the “border” between the small commercial district and the old medieval town. Annecy is a small town anyway, but this hotel is perfectly centrally located for easy walking access to absolutely everything. The front door faces the commercial area; turn right from the entrance and you are in the pedestrian cobblestoned zone. Turn right again immediately and go up a few stone steps; you are on the north side of the hotel in a small park behind a cathedral. Straight ahead is the canal and impeccably beautiful paved and wooden bridge walkway, another cathedral, and the arched stone entryways into the old town. Annecy is an absolutely wonderful, magical, beautiful town and lake. Hotels are hard to find; this hotel is relatively affordable and it’s greatest asset is its location. + Parking – the hotel has a gated parking lot + Breakfast – small buffet; can eat on outdoor shaded balcony with pleasant park & town views. Negatives -rooms are old, worn, and in extreme need of renovation. Room Negatives -very disappointing; this suite is the “best” room in the hotel. It is old and worn; the walls and furniture have scratches, patches, and stains. The entry hallway is totally wasted space; we put a suitcase there. The suite has a bathroom, bedroom, living/dining, and small wall kitchenette. Furniture was old, worn, and mismatched. Linens are tired, worn, and old. Mattress is flat and old. Bathroom is old; fixtures are old; no counter or storage space; dim lighting. Room felt unclean and worn. Kitchenette was helpful for the extra sink and small frig. Best part of room is the balcony with a view of town.

Très bon accueil, conseil concernant Annecy, réduction parking grâce à l'hôtel. La planche apéro du bar est excellente. Petit déjeuner copieux. Le ménage de la chambre tout les matins est parfait. La chambre est silencieuse et confortable. La salle de bain est assez spacieuse. Je recommande cet hôtel.

Super accueil, quand on vous ouvre la porte en précisant votre nom .. ça étonne toujours un peu ! Le personnel est extra. Les chambres sont propres et très soignées. Bon matelas. Le mieux reste quand même le petit déjeuner .. tout est frais ! Petit bémol.. la vitesse de l’ascenseur 🤓

Happy to have chosen this hotel for a short stay in Annecy. Easy booking and communicating with the hotel from the beginning! The Good: - very friendly and approachable staffs. easy breezy check in/out - top central location near old town, close to cafes, restaurants, shops and the lake! - great deco at the lobby, modern and filled with fun activities - parking garage right next to it - room with balcony and riverside view, also come with kettle. Nice air-conditioned. - reasonably priced Less Good: - extremely old parking garage - filthy dirty, small tight spaces, can be pricey for long hours parking - room and upper floors are very dated, old furnishing, quite basic. Not the same as the standard modern Ibis style - small, old and not-smart tv (not big issue but again it makes the room sad) Overall good for short stay but can be better for sure to suit the modern Ibis image!

Les parties communes et notamment la salle des petits déjeuners sont très agréables. Personnel sympathique. L’hôtel est également très bien situé à proximité de la gare et de la vieille ville. Perfect location to unwind, swim and cycle. We booked a privilege room which gave us a small balcony to sit and look across the lake. Note that these are side on to the lake not front facing. We hired bikes from Vincent the concierge (who was amazing, polite, helpful with great advice) and cycled around the lake. The electric bikes were very helpful as it was incredibly steep in parts. We stopped at Baie de Tallories for ice cream and a lovely view. We didn’t pre boom breakfast but did have it both days, very nice but overpriced at €30 pp Quick drink in the bar but didn’t go back as staff were quite rude, very different from the rest of the staff who couldn’t have been more delightful. Great walks into town for food and drinks. Will definitely return (just not to the bar)

The hotel is a convenient walk from the train/bus station. This was our first stay at an Ibis hotel and we were pleasantly surprised. The room was a good size with a nice balcony. There was a heat wave during our visit and the air conditioning worked very well. The darkening shades were amazing and made for a great night's sleep. Good breakfast selections. Great staff in the breakfast area as well as the front desk and housekeeping. The exterior of the hotel and surrounding area could use a refresh but the interior is nicely renovated and bright. I found some of the surrounding area dark at night and would just be mindful if walking solo. I wish the room had a mini fridge!
