The Newel Metaxourgeio

It was a very nice equipped apar**ent! The only problem is, at weekend the bar opposite the hotel, has live music! So take oropax with you. The breakfast was delivered in time and it was enough to start in the day. Parking space is at the next street but the door is not looked over the night.

I enjoyed my time here and I will come back again, thank you.

Never written a negative review before, but room 002 in the Newel is the noisiest hotel room I have ever stayed in. On ground floor with window about 8ft above street level and a pavement's width from road. Windows had ventilation space underneath which allowed even the quietest noise in from outside, but is was never quiet. Constant mopeds, cars and vans passing outside, including all night, a Bar directly opposite across only 30ft of street. Very loud music until 2am on friday and saturday and then staff coming out around 3am, chatting, getting into cars and shouting their goodbyes. On one morning, a street market, with stalls directly under the window setting up before 6am, vans, shouting and scaffolding for awnings. And the main front door crashing shut everytime it was used. I expect some noise in hotels, it happens. But how Newel can let room 002 with a clear conscience is beyond me. We asked the very disinterested Receptionist is we might swap rooms, she said NO, despite the hotel not being full. The roof top breakfast bar was closed for several days, so packets of stuff delivered to rooms instead, luckily we took our own tea/coffee and milk as there was none. Eventually we managed to order breakfast for 8am, but it was late that day and we left without it. I would warn everyone to avoid room 002, I can't speak for the other rooms, but imagine all the street facing ones would suffer from the same noise levels

This is a newer hotel, very small (only about 14 rooms). Very clean with amazingly friendly staff. Each room has a small safe, kitchenette with fridge, dishes and complimentary tea and coffee. For such a small place, breakfast is very good with real fresh fruit salad and you can get special coffees made. Some areas around are a little sketch but a five minute walk to the train station, a three minute walk to the Hop On bus and about 25 minutes to the Acropolis. There is a great restaurant right across the street with very good food.

We stayed in the hotel for a week in August 2023 and it was a very pleasant experience. The staff is great, particularly Alex, the manager, who did everything to make us feel at home. The hotel room is very cozy, sort of a small apar**ent, and breakfast is very tasty. The area is not the best, but if you take the metro you avoid walking through weird streets. Summing up, highly recommended!

Hôtel à éviter. Au check in il m'a été demandé de signer un formulaire pour une caution de 100 € en cas de dommage ce formulaire devait inclure mon numéro de carte bleue... J'ai annulé ma réservation évidemment et j'attends un remboursement.

Soggioro per lavoro, è una nuovissima struttura vicina alla stazione Metro Metaxourgeio. Camere di design, alcune di esse dotate anche di angolo cottura, ampie luminose e pulite. Gentilissimo lo staff, un grazie particolare a Renna che parla anche italiano. Buona la colazione, non troppo varia ma di qualità. Tantissimi ristoranti tipici nel raggio di 3 minuti a piedi. Ottimo il wifi.

Mooi hotel op loopafstand van het centrum. Kamer was ruim en en modern ingericht. Bed op de grond niet ideaal maar wel goed te doen (55+). Rooftop ontbijt is fantastisch, net als alle medewerkers. Vergeet ook niet naar het restaurant-bar aan de overzijde te gaan. Sfeervol en ook super vriendelijk .
