Hotel 2 Bintang di Athens

Good location, a street of bars and restaurants just around the corner, fantastic views of the hilltop ruins from the rooftop terrace, and friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are a little small and dated but comfortable enough.

The location of this hotel is just perfect. My wife and I spent three days in Athens exploring the Acropolis with slopes and the Old City and haven't used transportation even once. The view of the Acropolis from the rooftop terrace is stunning. The room was clean, windows blocked city noise well, the breakfast was decent. Otherwise it is a 2 star hotel with a small lobby and a small elevator, which is to be expected. Wi-Fi was unfortunately very slow and needs to be improved

IN OKTOBER 2023 I VISITED ATHENA AND I STAYED A WEEK IN THE VICTORIA IN. ALTHOUGH LOCATED IN A RATHER RUN DOWN AREA WITH LOT OF GRAFITY, BUT IT WAS NO UNSAFE AT ALL! THE SINGEL ROOM LOOKED REMARKABLY GOOD! A NICE STAY! FRIENDLY RECEPTION, QUIET CLEAN HOTEL! BATHROOM WITH SOAP, TOWELS, CHANGED EVERY DAY. SOMETIMES IN THE NIGHT THE NOISE OF A GUEST, USING THE SHOWER! THE BREAKFAST, INDIVIDUALY SERVED IN A BEAUTIFUL DINING ROOM WAS LESS MY TASTE. HOWEVER, I RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO EVERYONE! Хостел находится в 15 минутах от метро Монастираки. Хостел предоставляет трансфер на автобусе до аэропорта, его нужно бучить за сутки. Сам хостел занимает весь подъезд до крыши. На крыше есть бар и большая терраса на все стороны здания. Убирают плохо. В хостеле грязно, в душевых никто толком не убирался, только мусор вынесут и протрут пол. Бельё постельное уже постелено, из одеяла только простынь. От кондиционера и окна дуло, укрыться нечем. Подушки очень неудобные и сырые. Спала без подушки и в толстовке в итоге. Комната была большой, но тесно заставлена кроватями. Не знаю, почему так вышло, мои соседки из сша и Австралии практически никуда не выходили и вообще целый день находились в комнате. Спали и блевали. Отчего смрад в комнате стоял невероятный от пота, духоты, блевоты. В душевой ванной всегда духота и влага, есть маленькая форточка. Ящики для вещей находятся прямо возле двери в душевую, отчего очень неудобно ими пользоваться, они далеко от кроватей. В комнате было много комаров, у меня был с собой фумигатор, это помогло. Всю ночь люди ходили туда-сюда, я практически не спала, каждый день была разбитой. Дают при заселении бесплатный шот. Цены в баре умеренные, апероль и мохито по 8 евро. Завтрак насыщенный, есть яйца и фрукты, хлеб, джем и хлопья овсяные, оплата на баре на том же этаже. Бесплатная питьевая вода на баре, удобно наполнять бутылку. В комнате находиться было неприятно, поэтому после осмотра достопримечательностей сидела в лаундж зоне, где кухня. Там же работала, вай-фай ловит хорошо. На кухне можно заказать ужин, ни разу не брала, но видела, говорят, что вкусно и удобно, никуда идти не надо. Дают в аренду полотенца. Сам район находится где-то на задворках, идти вечером очень страшно, вокруг одни стройки, заброшки, парковки и пакистано-индийские заведения. Гуляющих женщин по району вообще нет. Terrible hotel to stay. Area itself is full of drug users with syringes and needles discarded on the street. Room was extremely small and uncomfortable as mattress was rock hard and with what we assume is the cleaners hair!!!Receptionist refused to deal with noisy guests. The pictures on advertisement are deceptive so do not get fooled. We had a terrible night sleep complemented with noise from jackhammer coming from the building site next door which you could almost touch by opening your window. We booked for 3 nights but left after the first night. We would have left early if it was not for the fact it was so late at night. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL

The private 4-person room was clean and had a small balcony. However for 4 people it's a way too small. There is no wardrobe to put the stuff and in the bathroom there were only 2 hooks for towels. The breakfast you can't call a breakfast. There was only milk, yogurt, and some cereals, but no clean bowls or plates if the personal didn't clean it on time. Beside that there was some toast bread, marmelade, coffee and tea if you came early. No cheese, no butter, no fruits or veggies. The hotel was extremely loud, because of the motorcycles outside the whole night and because of people coming or leaving (and shutting the doors super loudly) at night. The location was quite nice as there is plenty of restaurants and bars around and the personal was nice too.

Great value for 30 bucks a night. The neighborhood is rough, but I felt fine walking around during the day. There’s a Bazar walking distance for anything you might need. Rooms include a small mini fridge and there’s a microwave downstairs. I pushed my twin beds together and used the nightstand as a table to eat on.

The hotel is basic, clean, perfectly located to get the best from this wonderful city. The staff are extremely helpful. There is a supermarket within one minute. The downside is that there are no restaurants close by. That said, the square of Monastiraki is around 10min walk and there is plenty there. We would definitely recommend this hotel. Enjoy!
