Hotel 3 Bintang di Athens

This is an extremely nice hotel situated in a perfect location. Our stay and review are based on a Superior room You would be hard pressed to find an Athens hotel in a better location. You are right in the middle of all the action with shops and restaurants nearby. You are spoilt for choice. Although in a busy area we found the excellent double- glazed doors/windows kept any noises out and it was not an issue at all. Our Superior room came with a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities although that is not listed on their website. It may be worth e-mailing them if this is important to you. There was air-con but in March there was no need to make use of it so we cannot comment on its efficiency. The toilet/bathroom came with those tiny bottles of shampoo and body wash which we refuse to use on environmental grounds so we brought our own and used that. There was a sign saying that if the used towels were hung up then it was assumed that we were happy to reuse them. The cleaners replaced them daily regardless. The rooms were kept very clean. This hotel has much going for it. We grabbed a deal here at a very attractive price which included breakfast. The breakfast arrangements were in a fairly small area but we felt that a good selection was provided considering the space limitations. Plenty of fresh vegetable choices and delicious too. The Tomatoes and Cucumber just tasted so much better than we are used to. Cereals, bread, cakes, fruit and coffee from a machine. We looked forward to our breakfast every morning and didn’t grow tired of it. Minor gripes (being very picky). The over the bath shower was a mini battle in so much that it was prone to shoot water out onto the floor if you weren’t being careful. It could have been better but all we had to do was to adjust our showering habits and all was ok in the end. Our room had a balcony facing out to the street below. It would have been nice for a couple of chairs out there rather than just a large pot plant and the air-con unit for company. I did notice that no other balconies on other building had chairs out so perhaps that is just the Athens way. We had a Fridge in our room. Very welcome. A very close mini supermarket was the cheapest place we could find to buy water. E0.39 for 1.5 litres as I recall. We loved this hotel. All the staff were so nice and so helpful. I can’t remember all of their names but Irena and Eva come to mind. They helped make our stay wonderful. It had a curiously homely feel about the place. March time was a great time of the year as it was a pleasant day time temperature with it getting a bit chilly in the evenings. You could still dine outdoors but with a patio heater nearby. We loved Athens and have decided to return next March with the flights already booked. We will stay at the Plaka Hotel again. 5 stars from us

Perfectly located to see the sights, and access the buses/ trams/ metro. Breakfast was perfectly adequate to set us up for the day. Cleaner / maid service, no complaints. Plenty of hot water for showers. Airport bus x95, get off, down hill to crossing , then right across next crossing , turn left and its just down on the right. Staff helpful. Roof terrance gives good view ofAcropolis at night .Double glazed windows would improve this place massively, couldnt hear other rooms but city noise at night , motorbikes mainly did disturb us.

Excellent value for money hotel in a fantastic location just a few minutes walk from Athens’ most visited spots. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and spacious and the breakfast buffet was fantastic. No tea/coffee making facilities but I don’t know if that’s normal in Athens, but there is a fridge and great air conditioning. Then roof top bar in their sister hotel Plaka is well worth a visit. Highly recommend.

Das Hotel hat eine perfekte Lage! Wenige Schritte von der Ermou Einkaufsstraße entfernt, vom Syntagma Platz und auch vis zum Monastiraki Platz sind es nur ca 10 Minuten. In den Gassen rund ums Hotel gibt es nette Bars, Restaurants und Street Food. Wir hatten ein Zimmer nach hinten raus. Da an der Strasse zwei Bars mit lauterer Musik sind, denke ich es ist dort schon störend, auch wenn die Zimmer sehr gut isoliert sind. Die Empfangsmitarbeiter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit Das Frühstück war besser als erwartet. Es gab sogar frischen Obstsalat, Joghurt, Croissants und kleine griechische Spezialitäten wie Käsepasteten oder Spinatpasteten, Feta und Apfelküchlein. Vor allem aber ist es überall sehr sauber! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

That hotel can easily be the best hotel in the area if they paid more attention to the renovation issue.. The place is well located and nice old classic design.. Staff are very helpful and breakfast was ok too.. They can't be blamed about few homeless people around as it's like that everywhere around that area.

This was a great stay for us and our family. The hotel is conveniently located near many popular sights and eateries in Athens and most were within a 10-20 minute walk. The nearby Monastiraki metro station made it easy to get to and from the airport as well. The rooms are nicely appointed with a couple of chairs, work station, coffee/tea station, closet, mini fridge and TV. The beds were small but comfy enough. Our family had a 2 and 3 bed rooms and we found the 2 bed room was a lot more spacious. The bathrooms in both were small but we appreciated that the hot water came on quickly and there was a small window for ventilation. Our room was quiet at night but our family noted street noise on the lower floors. The elevators were often tricky to catch as they are small but we appreciated it when we didn't feel like the climb to the sixth floor. The amenities at the hotel were good for the price. The roof top patio and bar area was a highlight and we enjoyed a couple of afternoons up here watching the sun set and the lights turn on at the Acropolis. The prices of the bar were inexpensive and they had a good variety of options. There was a sitting room that had tea and coffee midday and they kept it open in the evening so we were able to sit together and talk. They had laundry service, baggage storage and could help arrange tours or car hires as well at the front desk with their friendly and welcoming staff. The breakfast at this hotel was very good for the price. They had something for everyone and lots of place to sit. Highlights for us were the Greek yoghurt and the spinach and feta stuffed pastries. They also had mini sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, feta cheese, cucumber, tomatoes, breads, baklava, croissants, dried fruits, fresh fruits, juices and a coffee machine. We looked forward to breakfast each morning. The hotel provided a good base for exploring and was centrally located. We would say if you're looking to save money and have a good breakfast to start your day in Athens this hotel is a good choice.

This was my second stay at Athens Center Square Hotel and it was as good as the first. Location is fantastic in the old marketplace with a great restaurant at the corner and easy walk to Monesteri and metro. It is a budget hotel - so don't expect luxury and can be a little rough around the edges, but the price is good and the staff is fantastic. From the roof-top bar you get as good a view of the Acropolis as you have from any luxury hotel with friendly service and good prices at the bar. Breakfast included in the rate and was excellent with a large variety of fresh local items plus standard international options. Highly recommended if you want great value, comfortable rooms and fantastic staff. Not luxury, but my choice in Athens every time!

I don't know why the hotel's first picture is greece national assenbly picture. some people like me who go to first time in greece, it is really confused what a hotel look like. strong point -close to main street and tour points - delicious breakfat - kind staffs weakness - not that clean room - room is so small than I expected - Bed is really uncomfortable. even I booked double bed room, it just put two single bed. You have to care fell down between bed.

I had booked a room with an Acropolis View and had asked for a room on a high floor. I was not disappointed - it was a pleasure to sit out on the balcony in the evening (indeed at any time) with such a spectacular backdrop. The room, though not large, was perfect for my needs and very clean. Breakfast was relatively basic but perfectly adequate and again I was not expecting anything more. I found reception staff at all times friendly and helpful. The location was down a narrow side street, but was close to Psirri Square (which seemed always to be buzzing with locals) and numerous eateries both on the square itself and in the surrounding streets. A few minutes away on foot to Monastiraki Square and the metro, and another 15/20 minutes to the Acropolis. I could not have chosen a more suitable and friendly hotel and would have no hesitation in returning to it.

The hotel was soooooo hard to find. It was in a small street, and there was no street sign. Thank to the luggage store owner, who close his shop and lead us to the hotel. It didn't look very safe to walk at night.......
