1877 Estrela Palace

Impressive to look at if rather excessive in terms of gold decoration. Service generally very good. Breakfast tasty and sufficient. Comfortable bed. Let down by several small but annoying faults like poor water pressure, no extra toilet roll, flimsy stands in bathroom that easily fell over, difficult to open main door….

Шикарный небольшой отель в самом центре старого города. У отеля договор с соседним торговым центром по бесплатной подземной парковке - очень удобно и близко. Рядом куча ресторанов и кафе, экскурсии на лодках по каналам и прочее. Завтраки хорошие, есть круглосуточный бар (по системе сам взял - записал - при выезде оплатил). Персонал дружелюбный и старается помочь во всём. Брали номер с джакузи на балконе - это было просто прекрасно, даже несмотря на холодную погоду. Рекомендуем однозначно!

el desayuno un poco escaso en cuanto a variedad.

Um hotel fantástico no centro de Aveiro, bem perto de tudo. Quarto maravilhoso com um ótimo colchão e duas almofadas fofinhas e eu que tenho problema de coluna, dormi muitíssimo bem. O wc é pequeno mas não houve nenhum problema por isso, o chuveiro efeito de chuva é enorme e os amenities Azzaro formidáveis. O roof top ao fim do dia com vista para o canal e uma bebida é Top. O pequeno-almoço é maravilhoso e não falta nada, sumo natural, fruta, chá, café, iogurtes, ovos mexidos e bacon, pães diversos e croissants, doçaria diversa, foi o que me foi servido à mesa e combatemos assim o desperdício dos buffets, pelo menos nos pequenos hotéis onde claramente não se justifica. Parabéns às colaboradoras que se cruzaram comigo, todas profissionais e simpáticas. Recomendo e certamente voltarei. Obrigada

Palazzo molto centrale praticamente accanto al Forum di Aveiro. Il parcheggio è offerto dalla struttura sotto il forum. La junior suite è molto bella e confortevole. Ci hanno offerto gli ovos moleis, i dolci tipici locali al nostro arrivo. Il bagno anche se piccolo è dotato di tutto il necessario. Io ho trovato anche la piastra per stirare i capelli. In camera quattro diverse capsule di caffè nespresso con macchina per fare caffe. Siamo stati molto soddisfatti. La colazione si consuma all'ultimo piano con una vista di tutta la città. Tutto molto curato. Complimenti!

We felt we were quite literally staying in a palaces our room was superb, as were the hotel facilities, particularly the rooftop terrace and breakfast room. But it was the staff that truly shined brightest. There were — uniformly — the friendliest, most efficient, and responsive hotel staff we have ever encountered.

Awesome staff, great location. Best breakfast we've had in Portugal. Rooftop sitting area was a treat. Very comfortable room, excellent bedding. Shower had plenty of water pressure and good temperature.

1877 Estrela Palace Hotel is a boutique restaurant with 8 rooms in total. The location in Aveiro is excellent. It is across from the main canal, and shopping mall. The top floor has the breakfast dining room, which also has a bar. There is a terrace that has very pretty views of the canal and plaza in Aveiro. All the staff was very nice and accommodating. Here are the cons with the property: 1) parking is available in the shopping mall underground garage across the canal (equivalent to 1-2 blocks). The problem is that you have to illegally park in the middle of a very narrow street in front of the hotel entrance, walk into the lobby, ask for an access card to be able to use the parking garage, and walk back to the hotel to return the access card every time that you enter or exit the garage. This is not a comfortable or efficient way to park. Instead, all 8 guest rooms should have an access card to use as needed during your hotel stay. 2) We kept having issues with the air conditioning system in both our room, and our friend's room. The air conditioner kept automatically changing back to "heating" setting. Again, the staff kept resetting the system remotely in the lobby back to "cooling" mode, but the room would warmup in the interim.
