Hotel Mesra Haiwan Peliharaan di Avignon

Wonderful location, right next to Palais des Papes. I splurged for the terrace room and did not regret it. The room itself was fine. However, I did have trouble working the AC, but I was able to remedy it by opening a window. It was nice to see people make their way in and out of the Palais des Papes. The breakfast buffet offered a continental selections with breads, scrambled eggs, and bacon/sausages. There were many restaurants nearby, and even a movie theater. The nearest grocery store is a 10-minute way from the hotel. I bought some water and soda and placed it on the mini-fridge in my room. The concierge was very attentive and gave me a map of the city as part of the welcome and some authentic French restaurant recommendations.

Удобное расположение, через дорогу начинается старая часть города. Частный паркинг находится под отелем, удобный заезд, цена паркинга составляет 18,6 евро за сутки. Номера удобные, функциональные с хорошей звукоизоляцией. Завтрак хороший и разнообразный.

Our experience was the same as Robert S. in August, or worse. For the price we paid, we expected to be wowed .. and we were not. The room was well-furnished, but faced a drag back courtyard. Staff was disinterested, Wi-Fi was horrible, bathroom design was weird (shower door did not meet the wall or floor so water went everywhere ... long-standing issue made obvious by peeling paint on WC door). On the first night, we noticed that one of the two lounge chairs had a broken leg. Mentioned it to the front desk on our way out the next day, and returned late afternoon to find ... no chair. Very disappointing after a busy, tiring day exploring Provence. We called to ask for a chair, and they brought a desk chair -- not a match to the other one in the room in design or comfort. On the way to dinner, we complained to the front desk, and returned to find a different chair -- covered in dust (obviously taken from storage and not a nearby room), still not a match for the other. With the reputation of the hotel, and the prices they charge, you should expect first-class maintenance and service, but you will not find it here.

We stayed at the hotel for 1 night on the way down to the south of France. It's too bad that it was only for 1 night :-). Very new , nice and well maintained hotel. We were greeted to a nice room upgrade on our arrival. We had dinner at the restaurant which was good and my eldest son had room service which was equally good. It was too cold to enjoy the swimming pool. They have a nice indoor garage. It was a really nice stay and it will be for sure on my list for a future stay in the area.

酒店的一切都挺好，裝修和衛生條件方面都還不錯，但是酒店的前台存在很大的問題。並非指所有前台工作人員，而是前台某一位在2022年晚上10點到晚上11點期間當值的瘦高的中年男士非常粗魯，2022年1月7日晚上10點左右回到酒店的時候發現大門已經關上，於是按鈴，但是前台沒有人，於是多按了幾次，結果過了一會兒當值的那位前台中年瘦高男士罵罵咧咧地來開門，對着作為顧客的我大喊大叫，之後竟然還不依不饒地跟我發生爭論，然後指責作為顧客的我按鈴幾乎吵醒了整棟酒店（第二天跟前台另一位工作人員反映這個情況之後，工作人員表示按鈴衹是在前台和工作人員隨身攜帶的電話機上有顯示，而奇怪的是，昨晚在按鈴的同時並沒有聽到那位工作人員有通過電話機讓我稍微等一下，所以我才會多按了幾次鈴）。後來我表達這位工作人員的態度讓我感到很不舒服，而且這種大喊大叫的行為像是在對待一個**，這位工作人員回答“是的，就是在對待一個**”。綜上，已經不是按鈴這件事情這麼簡單了，這位工作人員的職業素養，還有待人接物明顯地不符合酒店工作人員應該具備的，並且麪對不同的客人明顯感覺出了種族歧視，已經投訴，正在等着酒店方面給出回應。想着預定這家酒店的顧客請一定三思而後行，如果遇到那位瘦高中年男士可能會讓人感到極度地不舒服。

The location is the best asset of this hotel. It's right next to the Palais de Papes and other main attractions in Avignon. Parking is literally in the same building so very convenient. Staff are helpful and kind. However, we found the value to be poor as the room is shockingly small. We get that it is located in an old town and right in the centre, but we come from Paris and even for us we feel the Superior Room is simply too small for the average family. The bathroom is so cramped it feels like showering on a cruise ship bathroom. Also the cleanliness and maintenance leaves much room for improvement. There are very visible signs of wear and tear in the room and throughout the hotel, like stained carpets, dirty towels, peeling corners, broken lamps, layer of dust on the hairdryer and room amenities... It's a perfectly fine hotel to stay overnight to explore the city and surroudning areas but I'd advise against a longer stay.

Stayed at this hotel for a week recently. The hotel is situated between the train station and bus station in Avignon. The vicinity of the hotel is fairly ugly and there appears to be a long-term building site to the front and in front of the train station. So every time you walk into town you have to walk through this building site. As some have already written, it is not great after dark, with some dubious characters hanging around and it is surprisingly very dark considering it is so close to the station. The hotel itself is unusual as you have to get a lift up to the reception floor although this is where the lift ends, so bear that in mind if you have a room on a higher floor. The rooms are quite small although they are cleaned to a high standard and the bathroom is good. The windows are well-insulated so no noise from outside from the trains or traffic. The restaurant is small and we were often told that it was full up until about 9pm because a group was dining there, so unfortunately still had to walk into town to eat so you cannot rely on the hotel restaurant. There are a few restaurants of variable quality within ten minutes walk, but a longer walk about twenty minutes up to the main square although again these are mainly overpriced tourist restaurants rather than local French ones. Overall, the hotel is in a good position to do daytrips by train to Nimes, Arles and Orange. Avignon itself you can see in about a day.

Très bon emplacement intramuros pour visiter Avignon. Très beau bâtiment situé à 4 minutes à pied de la gare d'Avignon Centre et à 11 minutes à pied du Palais des Papes. Bonne literie. Piscine bienvenue. Nous avons changé de chambre 3 fois, panne de conditionnement d'air sous 35°...trop d'escaliers. Salles de bains beaucoup trop petites avec baignoire même dans les chambre surclassées. Peintures défraîchies dans les chambres. Personne au bar pendant notre séjour d'une semaine. Ascenseurs souvent en panne. Manque d'attention au petit déjeuner personnel dépassé. Je pense que cet hôtel mérite 3*** et pas 4**** comme indiqué.

Great for Avignon TGV. Less than 10 minute walk from the station. Unless you have car not easy to access Avignon. Clean functional rooms, pleasant helpful staff. Parking available at €6 per night. Free parking can be difficult to find. Rooms have kitchenette.

The location was perfect - situated right next to City Hall. The staff was friendly, and we really appreciate the bottle of rose and olive oil as presents to celebrate our anniversary. The room size was petite, but it is on par with the hotel rooms we stayed in France, although the bathroom here was pretty large. There was a bit of a miscommunication with our to-go breakfast, but it got resolved quickly.
