"The location is super convenient and the service is excellent. They offer luggage storage, and when I checked out, a staff member even helped me carry my suitcase down a few steps to the exit. The only minor inconvenience was the shower. There's no glass panel or door on the side, so water splashes out everywhere, no matter how careful you are. I'm not sure if that's by design or not."

"Very good intramuros location for visiting Avignon. Very beautiful building located 4 minutes walk from Avignon Center train station and 11 minutes walk from the Palais des Papes. Good bedding. Welcome swimming pool. We changed rooms 3 times, air conditioning breakdown at 35°...too many stairs. Bathrooms much too small with bathtub even in upgraded rooms. Faded paintwork in the rooms. No one at the bar during our week-long stay. Elevators often broken down. Lack of attention to outdated personal breakfast. I think this hotel deserves 3*** and not 4**** as indicated."

"The hotel is on the main street from the railway station, about 5 minutes walk to it. The room has a kettle, tea, coffee, cream. There is no refrigerator or safe. The single room has a short closet, so you can't hang long things. I hung my trousers on a hanger and on the closet door. No elevator, for those who care. I didn't take breakfast. I'm happy with the hotel."

"It was a girls' trip, with four of us—my best friend and I, each with our mothers. We were on a self-driving tour. We initially stayed at an F1 hotel, thinking it would be decent since it's a chain, but the environment was a bit shocking. We quickly found this hotel, Medieval, on Trip.com. The only downside is that it's located in the old town, so we couldn't drive directly to it. We ended up taking our lighter luggage and walking the rest of the way in. The hotel is surrounded by many beautiful attractions and restaurants. Highly recommend!"

However, the soundproofing facing the street isn't great; there was noise from city cleaning vehicles around 4 or 5 AM. Also, the bath towels weren't changed daily during our three-night stay."

"The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, right next to the Papal Palace! However, the facilities are on par with a budget motel, definitely not what you'd expect from a 4-star hotel; it barely scrapes by as a 3-star. Perhaps because it's an old building, the hallways are incredibly narrow and dim. The room was tiny, with no trash can except for a miniature one in the bathroom. There wasn't even a proper desk, just a small 40cm ledge. No gym or pool. The floorboards creaked loudly with every step, making me worried about disturbing the neighbors. There's central air conditioning, but no matter what temperature you set it to, the air coming out was the same as outside. No complimentary bottled water. The most frustrating thing was that the housekeeping staff would always mess up my toiletries, and one time my razor was even disassembled—I suspect the cleaner might have used it themselves 🤢"

"The hotel is in a great location. It’s within walking distance of Avignon town. There are plenty of places to eat for all three meals. There is a brand new laundromat close by. We stayed on ground floor. The room has a queen bed and a separate area to watch TV. The TV in the room is not working. This area opens to the terrace outside. The hotel and room look dated but are clean.  Staff are all very helpful and courteous. The one issue I have is that there is an odour coming from the toilet. We had to close the toilet doors so that it doesn’t get too bad. Otherwise, recommended."
