Hotel berhampiran Stade Saint RUF, Avignon

L’hôtel était très bien que cela soit au niveau des chambres (propreté, équipement) ou de l’accueil qui a été très agréable. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour à l’hôtel Danieli. Il était également Très bien situé à Avignon entre la gare et le centre.

We loved this hotel! We left yesterday and miss it already. The whole building is charming. Think teddy bears, flowers, even an old typewriter my kid got a kick out of. Public areas include a very small lounge by the reception and a breakfast room with a big window overlooking a small street. The receptionists were friendly and helpful and most spoke some English. There is a small lift up to the rooms as well as a twisty interior staircase my son also enjoyed. Each floor has a couple of levels with a few stairs between each, so if you have mobility issues, be sure to request a room that doesn't require any stairs. Rooms: We had the junior suite for 3. (More than 3 would be quite cramped.) It has a double bed and a chair folded out into a twin. There is also a desk, two chairs, small table, chest of drawers, small closet, and additional clothes rack. So we were able to unpack most of our stuff and put it away. There is a small WC and bathroom with sink, drawers and shelving, bath/shower and clothesline. There's a small fridge mostly stuffed with minibar items, but we were able to cram in a couple of our own items. There were several windows but it did get rather dim in the evenings once the sun went down. The windows open directly onto a ledge, no screen, which might be concerning if you have a very inquisitive or adventurous toddler. We slept with a window open for a couple of nights and I did get a few bug bites, but I am one of those people who's irresistible to mosquitoes and very allergic; my companions were not bothered. The temperature was comfortable in late June and we didn't feel the need to try the A/C or heat. Amenities: Tea selection, instant coffee, real coffee; teapot and coffee machine; condensed milk, real and fake sugar. 2 teacups, 2 espresso cups, 2 spoons. Bathroom provided soap and combo shower gel/shampoo; no conditioner. Breakfast is an amazing buffet: Scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, bacon and sausages, croissants, pain au chocolate, brioche, bread, pickles, olives, tea, coffee, espresso machine, fresh squeezed orange juice, milk, soy milk, other juices, cheeses, cold meats, fruits (strawberries, watermelon, pineapple), veggies, etc. It runs 'til 11 and even on the day we showed up late, they kindly gave us a ton of food. Location: This could be a pro or a con, depending on your preferences. It's right off the Place de l'Horloge, which has a ton of cafes and restaurants and glaciers and a cute little carousel. It's steps from the Palais de Papes. That is all very convenient, but it also means you hear all of the activities of the Place at night: late-night revelry (there was a big music festival Friday night and the band was...not great) and early-morning deliveries and such.

Situado en un sitio privilegiado e inmejorable junto al Palacio papal. Tiene parking aunque nosotros aparcamos cerca de la muralla a unos minutos andando, es estacionamiento regulado de pago aunque de 19 a 9 horas no se paga. Habitación tranquila y silenciosa con vistas a la preciosa plaza, atención de recepción muy buena.

A perfect hotel. Charming and elegant. The designer was spot on. Furniture, paint colors, art on the walls - beautiful in keeping with the vibe. It’s Avignon personified. Book if you can. It’s the perfect place. Terrace on 4 is amazing and private. Room is tasteful and comfortable. Outside courtyard a lovely respite.

When we first decided to spend a few days in Avignon, we began looking at hotels within the walled city but could not find one to our liking, with character and availability. Once we expanded our search to the other side of the river, and Villeneuve-les Avignon, we discovered a quieter area and this amazing Hotel de l'Atelier - it was a true gem! With the idiosyncrasies of any 300 year old building (sometimes crooked floors and off kilter doors) it also has all the historic charm of a building of that era. If this isn't your thing, by all means book a room at the Holiday Inn for twice the price and pretend you are in any city anywhere in the world. But if you want to feel like you are truly in Provence, this is the perfect spot! True, the hotel does not have an elevator, but it does have staff that did not let us carry any bags upstairs to the third floor ourselves...or downstairs again when we left! True, the hotel fixtures are a bit dated but oh the history that shines through!! The important things worked with no problems: modern plumbing, air conditioning, cleaning services... We have never felt as welcomed in a large luxury hotel, as we did at Hotel de l”Atelier! And let me add that the overall pervading fragrance of this hotel is butter!!! They (and by they I mean the owner and almost all the staff who work there) bake all their own amazing breakfast creations (apple tarts, croissants, coffee cake...about seven or eight different things every morning) from scratch daily!!!! Cappuccino? No problem! Perfect soft boiled eggs? They got you!! After spending several days wandering the walled city, taking in the history, we were always relieved to return to this sanctuary in Villeneuve-les-Avignon. We will always be happy we made this choice and hope to return one day!

Great hotel on good location with fantastic breakfast. Hotel is just up the hill in a lovely small town of Villeneuve just across the river from Avignon. The small town is perfect with restaurants and a small grocery store. We brought our bikes which was a perfect setup. The Hotel is beautiful set up with a very spacious approach, multiple ground floor common rooms, a massive garden and a huge pool area (which was closed due to cold temperatures in April). Breakfast was really good, not sure what the other reviews were complaining about.

Literie bonne, propreté impeccable, parking protégé et donc le rapport qualité prix est indiscutable sur ces 3 points mais ce qui gâche un peu la fête est l'absence d'accueil digne de ce nom. A peine bonjour, absence d'explications à l'arrivée....bref on a vraiment l'impression de déranger. Aucune information écrite dans les chambres et donc il aurait fallu nous dire que le petit-déjeuner se termine à 10.00 heures et surtout le dimanche à 09.30 (?) .....Mais même en arrivant à l'heure on vous demande sur un ton sec.....vous avez réservé? or la petite salle était vide.... bref tout ce qu'on demande à l'exploitant semble être de trop et donc EXCUSEZ-NOUS DE VOUS AVOIR DERANGE.....ça n'arrivera plus. Quand on n'aime pas les gens, quand on n'aime pas ce beau métier de l'hospitalité, il ne faut pas l'exercer, désolé de l'écrire.

Perfect !... close to Orange where we attended a show at the Theatre Antique (Johny Haliday), which ended late, we booked this Novotel close to Orange allowing us to enjoy a one night stay , and rest, prior to take the road back to Lorgues... Staff and services perfect with the smile !
