Logis Hôtels Troglododo

We had 2 nights here on the way to the Dordogne. Glad we did as we had a whole day to see the château, chill by the pool and walk back into the village for dinner ( 15 minutes). Room super clean, water hot, bed comfy, no hanging space which didn't matter for us, mini fridge,safe and lovely outside space.

An amazing find in the heart of the Loire. The hotel is 10 mins walk from Azay Le Rideau. We had two family rooms which were built into the hill side. They are absolutely amazing and what an experience! Parking is available and there is a lift to the level with reception and the breakfast room. There is also a pool. We were spending one night here on our way further south. The staff were really helpful and there weee restaurant recommendations in the room. Breakfast was great and served in a room in the hillside. Great find!

We enjoyed our two nights here. Sleeping in a hallowed out cave was cool. The family that owns this place are very nice and attentive. As a family-run small inn, it's not a high-end place, but it's clean, well priced, and super unique. The breakfast was so plentiful with so many options. They even have a contraption set up where you can boil your own eggs! I am a savory breakfast person, so this was much appreciated. We had dinner dropped off in our room one day after wine tasting around town. The dinner came with a lovely quiche and lots of bread, meat, cheese, and fruit. It was lots of food. It even came with the most lovely dessert: a custard that tasted like a vanilla panna cotta. The custard was also on the breakfast buffet!!! :D We made use of the outdoor tables in the evening and even used the pool for an hour. They offer pool towels in the lobby. Overall, we had a nice stay.

The hotel is quirky in a beautiful countryside setting with a lovely pool area. It is on the outskirts of of the village with a good 20 minutes walk to facilities and the chateau. The room was a cave, a good size and clean but felt a bit damp. They had lovely bed linen but unfortunately they neglected to put on a sheet. We slept on the mattress protector as it was too late to do anything about it when we realised the error. When we tried to explain the problem in the morning it was difficult to communicate as the staff had virtually no English and likewise with us for French. I know we were in France but they do advertise on an international website so a few basic words would be helpful.

Quirky, friendly, peaceful, with a great pool And sun deck. 10 mins walk from the town and some great restaurants A real find, the rooms are charming, and a little off the beaten track; needs better signage! Will definitely return, hopefully soon!

Le fléchage depuis le centre ville est presque inexistant. La décoration de la chambre troglodytique est très originale, totalement dépaysante et charmante. Mon séjour aurait été plus doux si le chauffage avait été ouvert quelques heures avant mon arrivée. Avant que le chauffage ne soit effectif je partais déjà le lendemain matin. L'extérieur de l'hôtel dispose de considérables atouts géographiques mais leur aménagement en cours laisse malheureusement une impression générale de grand fouillis, d'inachevé depuis de nombreuses années. Le petit déjeuner offre des produits sucrés et des laitages faits maison très raffinés.
