Hotel berhampiran Vasmoy Memorial, Baku

I don’t normally take the time to review places but considering that they market themselves as a 5 star hotel I want to make sure other people considering this hotel know what to expect at least. For context We stayed in this hotel for a week as a family (2 kids) in a connecting family room. First off when we arrived and checked in, the guy at reception said they would check our documents and to please wait in their restaurant. We ordered some drinks and waited. Meanwhile suddenly they start blasting Indian music so loud in the restaurant (it was only us and another family there) that we had to go ask them if they could please turn it back down again. I don’t know for who or why they put the music on so loud. This also happened when we ate breakfast one morning. After maybe 20 minutes we went to ask reception how check in was going and were only told that “they were checking”. We decided to go and get some late lunch since we didn’t know how long we needed to wait for them to “check” whatever they were checking. If the room wasn’t ready, it wouldn’t have been a problem if they simply said so and gave us a time frame for when it would be ready. But this was a taste of the service to come unfortunately. We had a connecting family room that had one bathroom to share. The master bedroom had only a window which was a small and by the ceiling facing out into the hallway (so no external window) which meant it was like sleeping with lights on all night as the hallway light were always on. In this case perhaps a curtain for that window would be good or installing sensor lights in the hallway so the light isn’t on unless someone is there. The rooms were SO warm and when we went to check about the air conditioning they told us it wasn’t working or they didn’t have it. (Not sure which was the correct answer) They couldn’t give us a straight answer. They told us the heating had been on the night before but that they had now switched it off and allowed for “air” instead. So whatever control you have in your room is basically useless. When we asked if they could allow for the air conditioning to be turned on they just told us they would sort it out but nothing got done. We had to sleep with the only external window open during the night so at least our kids could be more comfortable. Other important things to note - we got 2 towels for 4 people. We asked them to bring 2 more which wasn’t done. Only when we saw a cleaner outside in the hallway one evening (3 nights into our stay) did we get 2 more. - there was no cleaning the whole week. We asked for more water, asked if someone would come to at least remove the garbage and they told us they would send someone but never did. - as shown in the photos, one of the single beds was broken underneath. - several sheets/duvet covers were broken, one example shown in the photos. - there was cigarette burns on the double bed headboard despite it being a non-smoking room. It is a most convenient and comfortable hotel in this area. i feel like a home. Excellent service good language ability of reception staff.

Walking 🚶♂️ 🚶♀️ distance from the airport, just walk directly to the hotel, you will see right infront of you. Quickly Bypass the Taxi Hawking parking lot into the path in the trees leading into the only building the Hotel, Walk through the beautiful Rosa Damascena, pass your hands on the fragrant Rosemary planted next to it The Hotel interior is beautiful and clean, the Staff give a good impression of how friendly Azerbaijani folks can be, from the Receptionist girl that checks you in, to the Door staff. The rooms will have more drinking water as I was dehydrated after the flight and the water was gone in seconds. Talked to the staff they said they will immediately start adding more bottles of drinking water to all hotel rooms, they did so as they showed me they have a whole storage room full of drinking water bottles. Breakfast was very nice, Breakfast Waiters were extremely helpful. Night Bar/Restaurant also nice, a very patient waiter went through all their Menu on phone then he went through the whole menu again in person, until he saw I was satisfied with my choices. First time using this hotel mainly due to the location and ease of getting to walk to work the following day. The hotel itself if great – nice and clean with all rooms being huge in size including good bed, TV refreshments and a decent bathroom. It’s a fair walk into the main Baku fountain square however on this occasion my work was around the corner from the marine hotel so perfect. – Would I use again? Certainly will – in fact I have reserved 2 future dates that coincide with my work, in fact the price is also amazing due to location – If you was there for the F1 you would be laughing as you could fall out of bed and be on the main track..

Мне очень понравился этот отель. Душевный и приветливый персонал, хорошие удобные номера. Достаточно хорошее питание-мы покупали проживание с завтраками. Колбасы, сыр, яичница, сосиски, яйца, овощи. Давали фрукты : яблоки, груши и мандарины. Подают несколько видов соков, чай, кофе. При отеле есть спа центр, мне очень понравился хамам и финская сауна с бассейном-это бесплатно для постояльцев. Отель находится не в самом центре города, но рядом есть станция метро Низами, или можно доехать на такси, оно в городе дешевое. Мы пользовались убером. Недалеко есть супермаркет Grandmart, сеть магазинов Bravo. А если пройти чуть вниз по дороге, можно зайти в кафе Zaura, единственное место по моему мнению, где можно недорого поесть горячее и супы. Важный момент при оплате проживания -если вы оплачиваете на месте, то принимают только доллары и манаты. Я очень рекомендую этот отель, здесь создано все для комфортного отдыха!

Our stay at the Holiday Inn Baku was very comfortable.The Staff was warm and helpful. The Location is excellent. The Breakfast was sumptuous and the timings relaxed. One member of the Staff at breakfast took it on himself to remind us to come early, everyday. On a lighter note ! No complaints, we were always served well. The Rooms are large and well appointed, it was important for us as it was an 8 days stay. I would strongly recommend this Hotel for Stay in Baku.

الموقع ممتاز قدام مول عبر جسر لكن الي معه عربيات يضطر يشيلها مرهق نوعا ما ، ايضا قدامك ممشى البوليفارد في مجموعه من الانشطه الترفيه مثل اسكوتر السفينه العاب اطفال متفرقه مطاعم كوفيهات بعضهم يغلق ٣ للكوفيهات في ايضا شاورما ون من اشهر مطاعمهم ، ايضا ٢٠ دقيقه مشي دينيز مول المكان حي ورائع الفندق اكله جميل طلبت لغرفتي شوربه عدس وبرقر دجاج كانت نظيفه ، غرفتي جونيور كانت سرير كنق وسرير ثالث فردي الغرفه مره وسيعه ، ناقص فقط دشاش بالحمام
