Hotel di Bali

Nice modern hotel overlooking the sea near the old Dutch harbour. The room and the shower cubicle are larger than they appear on the photos. For European travelers who are familiar with the concept of the Ibis hotels or Citizen M this hotel is no surprise. The staff is friendly and helpful and their English is good. The hotel only provides an Indonesian breakfast, buffet style. It is not an exciting one. The rooms are very clean. The outside terrace needs more attention from the staff. The pool seems nice, haven’t used it. Not many tourists in this hotel nor in Singaraja. The surrounding of the hotel is very authentic, including a Chinese temple nearby. Would stay in this hotel again.

I found this place by default, after my previous accommodation, Shri Ganesh, cancelling my room to resell at a higher price, because of high demand over the Christmas break. It's about 500 metres from the beach, not a bad location, but no warungs close by. The rate I received was lower than the agencies by about 10%, good business at 3.30 pm, when they were unlikely to get another booking. The room was comfortable, aircon efficient, but wifi was very unreliable. Initially, it may have been because of a thunderstorm, but even after that passed, it didn't get any better, and reception's advice was to sit in reception, or the breakfast room, because it would be better there!! I had need to look under the bed for a battery I dropped, and my guess is that it has NEVER been cleaned. Dust, fluff, used drinking straws, and food wrappers were plentiful. There was no kettle or coffee/tea making facilities. I take my own coffee, but a kettle would have been good to have. Breakfast was basic, self serve juice and coffee/tea, and two eggs, any style, on toast, or Nasi Goreng.

The staff and Location make this joint. The rooms are very good, large and well maintained, The Pool Villas are private and whilst at the moment they have some construction going on, you honestly would not know. The staff will run you into Lovina beach proper every day, and quite a few venues will come and pick you up and drop you back. The only downside to this place is the food. They need to get back to basic and serve the wonderful dishes that people travel to Bali for, forget the westernized menus of Burgers and Ribs etc. Serve a more traditional menu, Breakfast was pretty good. But the restaurant was the only reason this place did not get 5 stars. The staff are the best asset this place has.. a very relaxing time in Lovina, fix the Restaurant and you have a 5 star property in every way. Lovina is very laid back, no yells of ”transport” or ”taxi” no hassling from eager vendors, some polite questions as you walk past an outlet, nothing more.. A great spot for a chill out.

Lovely resort with great facilities and very hospitable and friendly staff. Beautiful sunset views. Too far to walk into the main area of Lovina beach due to the busy road but only a few minutes away in a taxi which was very good value.

Отель чуть в отдалении от пляжа и это хорошо. Рядом продают дешевые фрукты. Номера очень чистые, ухоженные. На территории шёл ремонт, но нам не мешало. Мы были чуть ли не одни из посетителей, но и это не было плохо, наоборот было тихо и спокойно. В отеле отличный бассейн. Дети провели в нем много времени.

L'architecture de ces petites maisons avec leur petite terrasse forme un bel ensemble. La chambre est propre mais la salle de bain laisse à désirer. Le sol et les murs sont en béton. Bref, ce n'est pas agréable. Les repas sont sous forme de buffet et sont corrects. Le personnel est aux petits soins. Si l'on vous propose l'excursion en bateau pour aller voir les dauphins, vous aurez des chances d'en voir si le temps est beau. Dans notre cas, le temps était gris et les dauphins sont restés pêchés au fond. Dommage !

Prachtige resort met kwaliteit. Organisatie is goed. Wij hadden een kamer waar problemen was maar dat werd snel geregeld naar een ander villa met prive pool. Ontbijt was goed met veel keuze. We werden vriendelijk geholpen door Lina.

My husband and i have visited many different hotels and villas in our lives from around the world, and we've never had a worse experience than we had at Puri Bagus Lovina. We booked this hotel for 6 nights of our month long honeymoon. However, within the first 45 minutes of arriving we immediately noticed something was off about this place. Luckily for us, this was our second stop on our honeymoon instead of the first location, or we may have fell victim to the tourist trap they are running here as well. However, we had the pleasure of staying in amazing villa prior and getting a good lay of the land before coming here. The first thing we noticed about this place is every service they off is 1.5 to 3 times the price of the same services at any other location around the island. At first we though ”hey, good for them. Make their money. We'll just go else where for these services.”... Then we realized how isolated the hotel is from the surrounding areas. Its in a huge empty area making it daunting for tourists to travel outside of it. They also offer every service to make themselves self sufficient. It seems convenient, but every car, meal, ride from the airport, laundry, tour, and excursion they offer are double to triple what they would be if you booked with anyone else. So theyre essentially isolating tourists and hiking their prices. Then my husband noticed a spider (I kid you not) the size of his fist hiding in one of the MANY massive holes in the lawn right outside our rooms door. It had babies with it, and we suspect that all the of the large ground holes around the villa are home to this breed of huntsman spider. My husband came to me at that point and informed me he wanted to leave as soon as possible. We decided to only stay the one night, for the swimming with dolphins experience, which was the reason we were at this hotel in the first place. He went up to the front desk and was told, and I quote ”you cannot leave early.” He came back to me very upset, and i went to speak with the front desk lady letting her know that wed be moving the dolphin experience to tomorrow morning, and would then like to book a ride back to the other side of the island. I gave her a vague excuse about an emergency and said it was non negotiable, but we would pay for the night we stayed. She told me since we'd booked through *********** that i would just need to contact them to get our money back for the nights we didnt stay, and i agreed. The only reason we booked this hotel was because they advertised a reasonably priced swimming with dolphins experience. However, upon arrival we were told if would be double the price, as the first portion if the payment was merely a dolphin viewing. This is particularly frustrating due to the fact that we'd left a note when booking online that we were coming for the swimming with dolphins experience. Thats fine. We agreed to the new price and booked it for 6am. However, upon arriving at the boat at 6am the next day, we we
