Ulasan Amara Bangkok Hotel

Check-out time was 2 PM, but at 12:30 PM, a cleaning staff member knocked on my door and, smiling, said, "You get out today?" When I checked out, I complained to the front desk and clearly stated how rude this was. The front desk explained that the hotel was fully booked that day, so the staff member was just curious when they knocked. This demonstrates improper management and rudeness. Also, if you're sunbathing on the rooftop terrace, be sure to use a towel on the lounge chairs before sitting down, as there are likely ***** lice (high probability).

You can definitely tell that the hotel has some history to it, and unfortunately, its age is starting to show. There were noticeable stains on the curtains and bedsheets, as well as quite a bit of wear and tear on the furniture and amenities. The lift buttons also didn’t work very well and could be frustrating to use. The biggest concern for me, however, was the bathroom floor. I’m not sure if it was due to the material used, but the floor became extremely slippery once it got wet, which is difficult to avoid when using the shower. It felt like a potential safety issue and was ultimately the deal breaker for me. The location is also quite a distance from the nearest MRT station, so it may not be the most convenient option if you plan to rely heavily on public transport. On a positive note, the hotel staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. I genuinely appreciated their hospitality and assistance, and they were definitely one of the highlights of the experience. Unfortunately, despite the wonderful service from the staff, the overall condition of the hotel and the bathroom safety concern mean that I would likely choose to stay elsewhere on my next visit.

The beds in the room felt smaller than 1.3 meters, more like 1.1 meters. But that's just my feeling as a woman, which might not be accurate. When we booked, we requested two standard rooms with 1.3-meter beds, but upon arrival, we only got one king room and one standard room. This meant I had to sleep in the king room with my two children, which was very uncomfortable. Luckily, they switched us to a standard room the next day. The breakfast was decent, and the location is great. There's Chulalongkorn Night Market nearby for browsing, and plenty of massage parlors. If you're interested, you can also visit the labs inside Chulalongkorn University. The front desk staff and bellhops were all incredibly friendly and helpful.

Very comfortable stay. The rooftop pool was relaxing, and the hotel staff were very friendly. My email inquiries were answered quickly. I'll definitely book this place again next time; it's great value for money.

Definitely the best hotel I've stayed at in Bangkok. The view is incredible, and so are the rooms.

Friendly staff, decent room with a comfy bed (good sleep quality!), complimentary water tastes a bit off though. Also the cocktails at the rooftop bar I would not recommend.

We had a great stay at the Amara Bangkok Hotel. The hotel is modern, very clean, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. We were particularly impressed by the rooftop pool with its fantastic view over the Bangkok skyline. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay. The breakfast was also varied and delicious, with a large selection of international and local dishes. The location is also ideal – many sights, restaurants, and public transportation are easily accessible. We were completely satisfied and would definitely stay at the Amara Bangkok Hotel again anytime. Highly recommended!

The room was small but very clean. The rooftop pool was taken over by foreigners. Breakfast was mostly Western-style, with bread, coffee, and milk. It wasn't very friendly for Chinese guests, perhaps because there aren't many Chinese staying at this hotel.

Overall, the stay was decent. The location was convenient and the room was clean. However, for a five-star hotel, the hardware and common areas felt a bit underwhelming and lacked that 'wow' factor of luxury. The most disappointing aspect was breakfast. The selection wasn't extensive, the taste was average, and the speed and quality of refilling dishes didn't meet the standards expected of a five-star hotel. It fell quite short of expectations. The staff were friendly, and there were no major issues during the stay. But if we're comparing it to other five-star hotels, there's definitely room for improvement in the overall experience. It's acceptable if you get it at a reasonable price, but if you're coming with five-star expectations, you might be a bit disappointed.

The hotel has excellent facilities, great service, and a wide variety of breakfast options. Its location is fantastic, and the infinity pool offers beautiful views. There are also plenty of massage parlors and 7-Eleven stores nearby.

The hotel didn't impress me. The lobby, breakfast, room size, and pool area definitely don't live up to 5-star standards.
