This hotel is brand-new, and has immense potential. It's a shame that I have to write this negative review, but I'm hoping it can spur the hotel to do much better in several areas. We discovered this newly built hotel from a local friend and decided to book four nights during the festive season. Upon arrival, the check-in process took much longer than expected. This was in-part due to the poor command of English by most of the staff. We were assigned a room in Tower A and Tower B. Tower A rooms are much more convenient as the pool and gym are located on the same tower. The rooms itself were great, but there were many small issues which hampered the experience during our stay. For example, the shower drain drains water very slowly, resulting in an overflow everytime you take a shower. The water pressure itself was decent but they need to solve the drainage issues, because we had several different rooms during our stay and every room had the same problem. Other than that, the rooms were great. The power points have USB-A and USB-C inlets, so you don't need an adapter when staying at this hotel, a very thoughtful point. Next, the breakfast buffet was decent. Bangkok hotels are famous for their excellent breakfast buffets. I have stayed in countless hotels in Bangkok, and the benchmark continues to be Centara Grand at CentralWorld for breakfast. Samala's breakfast buffet had a variety of options. The great thing is that the dishes are different every day, so you'll never have a boring breakfast. The bad news is that in terms of taste, its not consistent. For example, there was one morning which had Hainanese Chicken Rice served, and I nearly vomited after tasting it. On another day, there was Green Curry Chicken served, and it was amazing. Speaking of breakfast, I want to highlight the excellent service by Mr. Tong, which I believe is the manager of the breakfast service. Mr. Tong was very attentive and checked-in on us to make sure everything was fine. Interestingly, he spoke much better English than half the front desk staff so perhaps he should be there instead! Last but not least, I want to provide some inputs about the service. It was very inconsistent. Most of the staff at the hotel were very friendly, particularly the concierge, which was amazing at making dining reservations and providing recommendations for lunch/dinner. The front desk staff were also very friendly, and I managed to have a good chat with the front desk manager on several occasions. She had a good command of English, together with a woman who appeared fierce but was very friendly, but the same can't be said for the rest of the staff. They had some of the worse English I have ever seen in any hotel. Bangkok is an international tourist destination, and if the front desk can't get English right, it's better they are moved to other parts of the hotel. Updated review on 16 Jul 2023 I upgraded my 1 star to 4 stars. Although there was a hiccup during check in on room mix up, I was able to call my 3rd party to resolve with the hotel. This hotel is in a great location, close to BTS Nana train, Station 21 mall, good massage place. Right out the corner of the street has a great noodle store that opens from 8am to 4am (20 hours). Hotel personnel are all very friendly, helpful and kind. Always smile and willing to help where needed. After 3 days of stay, it changed my entire bad first day experience to an awesome stay. But to be fair, I still need to deduct 1 star due to the check in mess. I would pick this hotel again in the future if the price is right again. Original review on 14 Jul 2023 First day check in experience was a mess. I booked executive room and requested the front desk for a connected room. They said ok so we waited. Few hours later, we got the rooms and to our surprise, it's a Premier room instead of executive room. The front desk didn't inform us up front since I paid extra $$ to get a larger room. Ask the front desk about it and now they said they can change it back for the exec room but cannot guarantee and connected room. What a bummer. I even tried to ask since we are in a cheaper room, what if they add breakfast for us and we keep the smaller connected room, they said no. Such a rigid treatment to customer on a mistake the front desk made. I personally won't come to this hotel again. Advice for future guests, please make sure you ask everything UP FRONT so that they are clear on the arrangement

Nice staff they put up with a nut case like me so deserve a medal stayed there total 2 and half months. Room 704. Will go back if they will have me.good location and quiet the main guy on reception become a friend helped me when got into all sorts of bother.

Loved my stay here, firstly the location was class in such a prime location on Sukhumvit by Nana BTS with so many amazing attractions and food and drink spots close by. The hotel itself was amazing with staff so friendly and helpful. The room was perfect, massive, well presented, modern and in good condition. The breakfast had a great variety of food which were all freshly made with great flavours and tastes. Only problem was there was too much good food! The gym was well stocked with a very modern treadmill and the swimming pool was a nice way to relax in the Bangkok heat!

I stayed at this hotel with my wife and child for 3 days starting March 29. When I booked this hotel, unfortunately there were no rooms for 3 people, so I booked a room for 2 people (my child is over 10 years old). They didn't have a room for 3 people on March 30, so they offered me the following. Day 1: Room 430 for 3 people Day 2: Room 468 for 2 people Day 3: Room for 3 people ??? We went in with a deposit of 500 along with surcharges of 700+500+700 baht. The room had a refrigerator with a capacity of about 150 liters. They gave me 4 towels, you can get more if you want. The hotel wifi seems to be maxed out at 2 devices. The staff is mostly friendly. The dark-haired guy at the counter is a little on the stern side. The room is as shown in the photo. You need to be careful not to let your child touch the corner of the toilet door. The TV is like new. We moved to another room the next day, but after checking out at 12:00, they told us to wait in the lobby until 2:00, so we left our 5 bags and went out. There is a 7-Eleven right below the hotel, Dunkin Donuts 20 meters away, Gilbingsu, etc. 50 meters out on the main road, and Korean Town across the street. (Seolbingsu is a disaster). If you walk 15-20 minutes to Asok Station Daejanggeum restaurant is there. Delicious. When it starts to get late, around 18:00, the neighborhood turns into a red-light district. Women standing on the street waiting for something, alcoholism bar. On my third night in Miami, I didn't feel like changing rooms, so I kept to stay at a double room. (The hotel offered me an extra bed) On the last night, I was woken up at dawn by a female guest on the same floor. Miami Hotel is not a bad choice for young people. The hotel is cute and colorful like a Korean boutique motel. There are plenty of places to get breakfast nearby.

As the title suggests, there's a big but to this hotel. Almost all the staff from reception through to the housekeeping girls, all them display so much attitude..!! Most of them are surly. Sure they greet in the normal Thai way but you can tell it's just a formality and they'd rather be doing something else. I found it quite sad because a new visitor to Thailand (like me) has heard that it's the ”land of smiles” but then you turn up to this hotel and are greeted by moody staff. A couple of times whilst passing reception, I heard guests telling staff not to shout at them..!! Impatience seems to run through the veins of everyone working there. I quickly learnt that the best way to deal with the staff is to not ask anything of them. Basically leave them alone and hence you won't get attitude in return. Maybe they've become jaded. Whatever the reason, it has no place in the hospitality industry. The management need to look seriously at this problem. The location and proximity to everything is why I've given this hotel 3 dots
