We had a pleasant stay at Modena by Fraser Bangkok. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making the stay relaxing throughout the trip. The facilities and amenities were good, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was calm and comfortable.
The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional during my stay. The breakfast was nice, although the selection was somewhat limited and did not offer as many options.
For the location, it is still convenient for travelers who mainly use taxis to get around Bangkok and are not especially focused on staying near the main shopping areas.

Pengguna Tanpa NamaThis was my first time staying in this area, as I usually stay around Phetchaburi whenever I visit Bangkok. I decided to try something different this trip, and overall, it was a pleasant experience.
The hotel is apartment-style and comes fully equipped with a kitchen, making it ideal for families or longer stays. Our unit had two bedrooms — one with a king-sized bed and another with two single beds. It also came with three bathrooms, which was a huge plus as everyone could get ready comfortably without having to wait.
The location is very convenient, with a shopping mall within walking distance and a 7-Eleven located just below the hotel. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. We were pleasantly surprised to find beautiful origami creations left on our beds, which added a thoughtful and personal touch to our stay.
The only downside was that the TV’s Wi-Fi connection was a little unstable. When connecting to YouTube, the videos tended to buffer and lag frequently.
Overall, a comfortable and spacious stay with an excellent location and warm hospitality. I would consider staying here again on my next visit to Bangkok.

Curt 常鹰We saved this hotel until last – slightly fancier than the other 3 in our time in Thailand – as a little final night trip, and unfortunately, it was the most disappointing of the lot. The price, by global standards, might not be eye-watering. But by Thailand prices, it was certainly higher end, at over 800rmb per night with a ~450 (2000bht) deposit upon arrival. It did not meet those standards, I'm afraid to say.
First things first, it should be said that it is fairly easy to get to on the MTR system, just a very short walk from Hwai Khwang, though it should be pointed out that when using Trip to find the location of Google Maps, I was given the wrong spot (further down the road, so actually a nice surprise to see it was closer, and I wont hold this against the hotel as it is likely nothing to do with them.)
Serve at check-in was good, bags carried up the stairs for us and taken to the room with the porter stood waiting as we arrived. Check-in staff were as friendly as one would expect at a Marriott-run hotel of this quality, & though I was slightly surprised by the price of the deposit it was ultimately fine.
We had booked a deluxe room with a double bed, and were told that since there was none available (?), we'd be upgraded to a Premier. Looking at the app since, I'm struggling to see where they differ. The decor in the Premier is perhaps a bit more modern, but they are the same size with the same bathroom (more on that later), and the lower price-point is on a much higher floor (ergo better view, I'd assume). In truth, had I paid for a Premier & been greeted with our room, I'd have been even more disappointed.
The room was fine, but I'm not sure much more than that. A decent size, though by no means surprisingly big. It was at least quite airy, and the bed pretty comfortable, though seriously lacking in plug sockets. I find it rare to see a hotel these days without plug sockets on both sides of the bed, especially a hotel at this price point. It meant that only one phone could be charged nearby, the other on the table on the other side of the room.
The bathroom, though, was really, really disappointing (& that's putting it lightly). The bathtub might have been a nice touch, had it not quite clearly had dried on blood stains in it. I've never experienced this in any hotel I've ever stayed at, no matter how cheap. Let alone at one double the price of anywhere else we stayed in Bangkok and Thailand! The sink, too, was clearly scratched up dirty, with two clear globs of dried on mucus. No face washing in there for us. Fortunate perhaps, given the number of towels provided too was pretty light. The bin in the bathroom also came with no bin bag. I'd hope that the inside is therefore cleaned regularly, but given what we'd seen before, I wasn't filled with hope.
Elswhere, breakfast was generally of expected quality. Nothing to write home about per se, but a very nice dining area and good service in fairness. The coffee was decent, though again by no means hugely memorable. The swimming pool is a highlight, offering great views across the city (indeed, the view from our room was quite nice too – though can't help thinking it would be better from a higher floor, like in the cheaper rooms!), with ample comfy beds and free towels. It might be a bit small in peak season, but there were only 3 other groups sharing with us, so plenty of space for a swim.
We also enjoyed the massage (850bht). The price was not included in the room fee, but I thought 850 seemed a decent price for the quality and the convenience.
Each of these things could be the most memorable part of the trip, were we not greeted by the dirtiest bathroom I've ever experienced in a hotel. & that's a real pity, because it was so avoidable too! Especially from a Marriott hotel, I'd really expect better.

Pengguna Tanpa NamaI went to Bangkok 2 times in 2 months. First we were in an expensive 5 star resort in the river and second time was here in Ramada Plaza. It was more than half the price of the first place but wow it was almost as good! I am not goof at reviews so I will just ramble my thoughts. The worst part of Ramada Plaza is the entrance. It is lackluster and the main big doors were not working so they had small signs that say in and out for you to use side doors. When you get in, the lobby is big and grand with high ceilings, albeit very dated. At night there is a pianist and singer every day and it’s nice to come back to. Front desk staff were kind and they said they upgraded our room from deluxe to premier deluxe (although they always say this so I don’t know if there truly was a difference). We didn’t get early check in and connecting rooms as I requested but we didn’t get rooms beside each other which was good enough. When we got to the room it was so nice. Looked newly renovated! Looked newer than the lobby and the hallway. So we were happy. Aircon was super strong and cold thoughout our 8 day stay. No carpet in the room, made it easier for luggages to roll. I felt it was cleaner that way too. Linens were crisp and clean. Pillows were super great and soft. For our king size bed we had 4 pillows and 1 extra. The bathroom was spacious but it had a wet floor set up so your tub and shower was beside each other. Tub is small so it fills up easily. Water is super super strong and goes from boiling hot to cold. We soaked everyday in the tub. My shower had low pressure in the first day but when I asked them to fix it, they did and it became super strong. If I may nitpick - I didn’t like their provided shampoo (made my hair stiff) and shower gel and lotion(didn’t like the scent). But it was totally ok. Just personal preference. They give two bottles of water a day. The provided ref was ok. Takes a while for our drinks to cool. Anyway moving on, the location of the hotel is beside asiatique so it’s noisy at night (we were in the 6F) because of the party boats boarding. Lots of singing. But only early in the evening. We tried the free tuktuk to asiatique and it was so fast like riding a rollercoaster. My daughter loved it. The location itself is nice because of the river view but it’s prone to a lot of traffic coming from places like icon Siam or central world. Outside the hotel were more than 5 massage spas. We tried one and had a great foot massage!! Loved it! We never tried the fee hotel boat to central pier because we didn’t want todeal with central pier and shift boats. I wish they had a free icon Siam boat like other hotels but that’s ok I guess it’s far. Also the boat doesn’t go at 12 noon so we just opted for a grab car to get around. Oh and also the breakfast buffet is great! They change selection daily so in 8 days we tried many different things. I loved the pork rib curry even though it was so spicy. The chef roams around every morning. Nice touch! Overall I recommend this hotel to all my friends who don’t want to break the bank but still want the resort feel by the river.

IamliuStaying here for 4 days 3 nights! Location was closed to convenient store, pharmacy, local market and surrounded with foods shop and massage. However, bit distances from mtr station. So in and out i took grab and bolt. Since it doesnt cost much, I find the location are still good enough. Staffs were attentive, friendly and professional. Door guy always smile and greeting most of customer. Keep it up!
Fitness centre and swimming pool open from 7am to 9pm, wifi was good too. I did not try the breakfast as it cost quiet expensive tho. Room were spacious, hot water and aircon working well, one thing that bit disturb me was I could hear next room were talking, so I believe the wall is pretty thin. Overall, I enjoy my stay!

Super 73Been staying here quite often, the loation is a bit out. Hotel did provide transport, do check the timing and remember to inform front desk if you are waiting for the transport.
This time round there are quite a bit of changes with the hotel. More F&B available that make it easy for everyone that staying here and 24hr Lawson shop. As for the room, good and bad for moving the bed down. If decide to place the bed at lower level, best to relocate the master switch and mount the TV on the wall instead of leaving on the TV console. You won't be able to watch when lying on bed. Honestly, I do prefer the bed on the loft.
Last, there's are 2 things I would like to highlight.
1st, the lift waiting time is far too long and everytimes during my stay 1 lift will be down for repair. I'm not sure is there a sequence for lift timing, at times all 3 lifts at top level..
2nd, during check in you can feel the vibe is so different compare to the past when my 1st visit in Nov 2024 and no longer feel welcoming and friendly as before.
Afterall is still worth a stay and I will be back in June again if not heading to chiangmai.

Pengguna TetamuAddressed to Jon Warmington, the General Manager
I recently stayed at Grand Mercure Bangkok Atrium room 842 from 27 May to 1 June and would like to share some feedback regarding my experience.
First and foremost, I would like to emphasize that I genuinely enjoyed my stay. The hotel, facilities, and the majority of the team members provided excellent service, and overall I had a pleasant experience.
In fact, I am not the type of guest who frequently raises complaints. During my travels, I spend very little time in my hotel room. Most of my day is spent outside the property, and my interaction with the hotel is generally limited to breakfast and sleeping. As such, it takes a significant issue for me to feel compelled to formally raise a concern.
The first issue relates to breakfast. During my stay, I invited a Muslim friend to join me for breakfast. He entered the restaurant with me but did not consume any food because he was unable to find suitable options that met his dietary requirements. While I acknowledge that I did not raise this directly with the restaurant team at the time, I was surprised when Reception later informed me that they had verified that my friend had taken breakfast.
From my perspective, entering the restaurant should not automatically be considered as consuming breakfast when no food was actually taken. Nevertheless, I have decided to let this matter rest and move on.
The second issue is far more serious and is the primary reason for this email.
On my final night at the hotel, I was expecting a visitor. However, Reception did not contact me to verify whether I was expecting anyone before allowing my visitor access to the guest floors. Instead, my visitor was simply directed to my room and arrived at my door unannounced.
Having worked within the Accor group for approximately 15 years as a Duty Manager in Singapore, I am very familiar with hotel operational procedures, guest privacy standards, and security protocols. It has always been my understanding that when a visitor arrives for an in-house guest, Reception should first contact the guest to obtain authorization before granting access to the room floors.
While my visitor was indeed expected on this occasion, Reception had no way of knowing that without contacting me first. Had the visitor not been known to me, this could have resulted in a serious security and privacy issue. In my professional opinion, allowing a visitor direct access to a guest room without prior verification is unacceptable and falls short of the standards expected from an Accor property.
What further disappointed me was the handling of the matter after I raised my concern.
I wish to be clear that I am not seeking compensation of any kind. My concern is not financial. Rather, I expect an appropriate resolution and acknowledgement of the seriousness of the issue. Simply being told ”sorry” was not sufficient given the nature of the security lapse.
The alternatives presented to me by the Night Manager were also, in my view, unreasonable. One option was for me to move to another room on my final night. Considering that I was due to check out the following morning, I found this solution impractical and disruptive. Being asked to pack my belongings and relocate because of an issue that was not caused by me did not seem to be an appropriate resolution.
I was also informed that a Reception Manager would speak with me. However, I was unable to wait indefinitely for the manager's arrival. As a guest who was raising a legitimate concern, I do not believe I should have been expected to delay my evening plans or remain available for an uncertain period of time. Furthermore, I was scheduled to leave the hotel at 7:00 AM the next morning in order to arrive at the airport early for my flight.
For these reasons, I felt that the issue was not properly addressed during my stay, which is why I am bringing it directly to your attention.
I am raising this matter not only as a guest but also

Kaung - the travellerTGreat Location, Good Value, and a Nice Pool
I recently stayed at Furama Silom Bangkok and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel’s biggest strengths are its excellent location, reasonable pricing, and rooftop pool with fantastic city views.
The property is conveniently located in the Silom area, making it easy to access restaurants, street food, shopping, public transportation, and nightlife. For travelers looking for a central base in Bangkok without spending too much, it offers very good value for money.
The rooftop pool was one of the highlights of my stay. It provides a relaxing atmosphere and beautiful views of the Bangkok skyline, especially during sunset. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, offering good value for the price paid.
The staff were generally polite and helpful when needed, although the service was fairly standard rather than exceptional. Check-in and daily interactions were smooth, but there was nothing particularly memorable about the service experience.
That said, the hotel would benefit from some renovations and maintenance updates. Certain areas of the property appear dated, and some room facilities could be improved to meet modern expectations. While everything was functional, refreshing the interiors would significantly enhance the overall guest experience.
Overall, Furama Silom remains a solid choice for travelers seeking a well-located hotel with good facilities at a fair price. With some improvements and modernization, it could be an even better place to stay in Bangkok.
